Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Since Sawyer Gas, Amerigas would not respond to my numerous request to move their tank away from the ignition source, I was forced to pay out of my own pocket $to have another company in order remove Sawyer, Amerigas's equipment.
The propane on my property runs only a hot water heaterI purchased a new hot water heater because the old one was very close to not workingI was informed by a licensed plumber and a licensed electrician that Sawyer, Amerigas's propane tank was too close to the ignition source and would have to be moved before they could connect it in for serviceI called *** week prior to the installation of the new hot water heater to schedule the moveThe day of the installation, but not connected for service, of the hot water heater I had not received a call back from Sawyer, Amerigas so I called them backI plead my story to them again letting them know that my old hot water heater was close to quittingThey informed me the would have some one call me back that day to schedule the move of the gallon tank and install the new gallon tank away from the ignition sourceThe call never came and our old hot water heater quit workingI called Sawyer,Amerigas over and over trying to get them out to helpI beg and pleaded with themMy wife spoke with them but to no avail.
I contacted the new gas company to come install a tank 10' away from the ignition source so that me, my wife, and year old daughter could take a hot showerUnfortunately the law states that the new gas company must call SawyerAmerigas and give them hours to disconnect before the could install their equipment and connect the new hot water heater.
So my family and I were without hot water for over daysOur new gas company helped move sawyers gallon tank away from the ignition source but like I said I was forced to pay $because Sawyer, Amerigas would not respond to my many calls for helpOur account was cancelled by our new company when they called and gave Sawyer, Amerigas a hour disconnect notice and again by my wife when they failed to even return our callsBut just this week, even after we have had service now for over weeks with our new gas company, Sawyer, Amerigas withdrew $from our account stating we owed them tank rental.
Basically what we need to be made whole is
1: A full refund of the $that Sawyer, Amerigas took/stole out of our bank account without our permission.
2: A full refund on the 75% full tank of propane120-gallons x = 90-gallons
90-gallons x $per gallon = $3: A payment of $I had to pay another company inorder to do the job Sawyer, Amerigas said they would do, but never did.
I can not quantify the utter disappointment I felt by the sever lack of customer service Sawyer, Amerigas deliveredNor can I quantify the lack of running hot water in my home for over days all because Sawyer, Amerigas would not fulfill a customers simple request.
Bottom line is $I will need payed back to me inorder to be whole financially.
Regards,
*** ***

We had been a customer of Briceton Gas for several years and have always purchased our fuel in bulk upon a phone call rather than purchase it monthly or have regular refills We did this because we have a large wood burner that provides much of our homes heat and it has always been easier and cheaper to buy once or twice a year We have always paid on time Amerigas bought out Briceton a couple of years ago In October of they filled our Briceton/Amerigas tank and our large personal tank that we own for us In August of we called and requested a summer fill of the two tanks We were told that they do not do summer fills and could not help us, but they would be happy to fill our tanks in October at a cost that was $per gallon higher than our other local propane dealers We declined and said we would find someone else who would do a summer fill We did this and they filled our personal tank We finished using the Amerigas fuel, then disconnected it from our line an
Amerigas is the biggest ripoff propane company everJust got propane today8/16/got gallonsThey charge me a gallonThey said because I use less they have to charge me moreI wish someone would look into thisI know I am not the only one
AmeriGas consistently overcharges me for monthly payment plansLast month I called and was told to continue paying the higher amountMrG*** emailed me and asked if I could pay 35$ per monthI paid $last month
I have received a bill saying I was removed from the monthly payment plan, billed at a higher rate, charged $termination fee AND a $late fee
I have been a customer of AmeriGas for several years and have always paid my bill Their monthly payment is always too high when one looks my historical use
June 15, approximately pmWe had a scheduled installation of propane gas lines - an addition to an existing gallon tankLines were to be installed about feet for a propane stove addition and an additional feet for a propane dryer installationThis was clearly understood by AmeriGasTwo installers arrived, one in AmeriGas uniform, the other in a T-shirt and jeansThe agent in the T-shirt asked me what racial extraction I was - I thought this was an inappropriate questionThe uniformed agent told me he had no Floor Joist Hangers to install the extension pipesHe asked me how long I was going to be in Wilkesboro and when was I leaving for Hawaii ?? The agent in the T-shirt asked me for my house keys and that they would return after I was gone to install the linesI told him it was absolutely out of the questionI became very suspicious that I was asked for my racial extraction and for my house keysI don't believe this is appropriate conductThey left making some vague comments about when they could returnMY WIFE AND I ARE VERY CONCERNED THAT THERE MAY BE A FUTURE ATTEMPT TO ROB OUR HOME WHEN WE ARE GONETHIS IS A VACATION HOME FOR US

regarding billing concernsAmeriGas takes any complaint by its customers seriouslyTherefore, upon receipt of his complaint, we investigated the allegations contained therein and provide the following response based on our findings. As a threshold matter, AmeriGas denies that we have failed to assist the *** with their account and the past due balancePresently, the ***’ meter is locked due to non-paymentThis is the third time the meter has been locked-off due to non-paymentDue to human error when the meter was unlocked in December the meter invoicing was not releasedDue to this error, they continued to receive propane without receiving invoices for seven (7) months. Once this was discovered, an invoice for $was processedIn goodwill, we issued a credit for $to offset the high balanceThe ***’ were again locked-off due to non-payment in August Mr*** agreed to a payment plan, with the understanding that the meter would be locked-off if they miss a paymentWe have made multiple attempts to contact the customer, but have been unsuccessful. We value our customers and apologize for any inconvenience to Mr***If you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Melissa F
