July 5, 2016Dear *** ***:Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P(“AmeriGas”) the opportunity to again respond to *** ***’s complaintWe have further investigated the allegations and provide the following response based on our findings.During the months of December through March 2016, we were not able to read *** ***’s meterWe did however attempt to read the meter on the following dates:• December 16, 2015• January 20, 2016• February 17, 2016• March 16, 2016Unfortunately, we were not able to access the meter due to not having the proper code for the security gateTherefore, the invoices were billed using an estimated usage methodOn April 20, we were able to gain access and an actual meter reading was performedThe high meter reading indicated our estimates for the previous months were too low compared to the actual usageThus, this caused the April bill to be much higher because it included the propane which they were not charged for in the prior months. We value our customers and trust this response address *** ***’s concernsIn light of the foregoing, AmeriGas reasonably considers this matter closedIf you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact me.Sincerely,Michele OCustomer Advocacy Specialist

I got a bill from Amerigas the same day D & D oil filled my tank in my rental home Amerigas charged me per gallon ($for gallons) at the same time D & D OIL charged per gallon ($for gallons) I called to discuss my bill and the lady immediately said "Well I see why, $per gallon, I'm going to fix this." She knew without me saying a word I was overcharged but her way of fixing it was to charge me $a gallon Still cents a gallon more than D & D, Which I have yet to see on my invoice What a bunch of crooks It just amazes me that this kind of stealing is not illegal They should be locked behind bars

In February 2017, we were renting a home with a pool that was heated with propaneAmeriGas owned the tank I had them do a safety inspection and add propaneI paid in full, and told the Customer Service agent that I did NOT want to start an account, because it was a rental and we would be moving in the fall
On 2/13/18, I received a bill from AmeriGas for $for filling that propane tank on 2/6/We immediately called and explained that we were no longer at that address, but mail to me was being forwarded to our current addressWe were told that the tank would be locked so it could not be used, and I would not receive another bill
On 2/24, we received another bill from AmeriGas, indicating that they had added more propane to that tankObviously, no lock had been appliedAn email to the company was answered by Patrick, who said, “Thank you for contacting AmeriGas Customer Care. I’m so sorry to hear about your experience and hearing that someone has ordered propane o

For some reason Amerigas South Westerlo NY office stopped delivering propane to my house I was told weeks in a row I was on the listI guess it was the do not deliver listWhen the tank got to below 10% I called a competitor on a Sunday morning and received a delivery within hoursStay away from these guys

This company is the absolute worst Propane company I have ever dealt withI imagine that Amerigas as a whole could not possibly be as bad as the South Barre, Vermont officeCustomer service will literally argue with you about wanting to speak to a supervisor or a managerThey will tell you flat out that they do not conform to the policies of the company and they do not follow through with their promisesIf you request somebody to return your call, they don't
I wouldn't recommend Amerigas to anybody, especially from the South Barre, Vermont address

After realizing how high Amerigas Prices are we decided o switch to a different companyCalled 11/spoke to Cindy H**Cancelled serviceRequested tank pickup and final bill12/11/No responseNo final billNo tank pickupCalled to see the "Status" The person on the phone ells me there is absolutly nothing in the computer showing I even CalledI refer to the name of the person I spoke to(Cindy H***) She calmly states oh shes new thats probably why she didnt do itREALLY? And thats ok? Once again I have requested cancellation final bill and tank pickup, And NO I am not paying for Tank Pickup/Rental etcCome and Get it and hire more competent people please!

I have been trying to work with my local office of Amerigas to have a refund check sent for a pre-paid delivery I over paid for I have been calling them for over a month, and they continue to tell me that the check is in the mail I called weeks ago after having still not received my refund, and the customer service representative assured me that the check had been reissued and would be received within 7-days After still not having received this check weeks later, I caled the main customer service line and was informed that in fact the check had been issued a week after the original representative had informed me it was issued So not only have I been given the run around for my money, but I have been out right lied to by this company And Ive had to chase them down - there have been no return calls as I've requested from them I've know been told I'll have to wait again, and that there is no way to issue my refund directly back to the tender in which it was originally paid for (which was a credit card), and essentially that I'll have to wait and nothing can be done I will never do business with this company again, and I will ensure that this opinion is shared

This company has the worst billing serviceI was a customer for years with them and always paid in advance for my propaneEverytime I would have a tank filled they would send me a bill and I would have to call and dispute itIt became annoying so I switched companiesAfter 1.5years of not using them they decided to send me a bill for terminating service with them! Who does this?? Just avoid doing business with this companyVery poor service and way over priced

I received a letter dated 3/13/from this company at this address The letter stated they would be repossessing my gallon propane gas tank for failure to meet rental contract agreement The last date I ordered any propane was shown to be I have not had one letter or call from this company stating I needed to make a yearly payment on the tank rental I originally rented the tank in and made the yearly payments until I called the company and asked them to come and work on my inside wall-mounted heater that had stopped working At that time, I was told they do not work on the appliances, they just deliver the propane I asked them what good were they if they couldn't work on the appliances that had stopped working Once again, got the same answer I told the person I talked with to just send someone out to pick up the tank in No one ever came to get it At the same time, I called around and found the only company that worked on the appliances inside the
