complaints filed against our company I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr*** for the frustration he mentions in his complaint As Mr*** mentioned, he purchased an offer from the company *** *** * *** *** *** ***on February 22, 2017. Though we are proud of our industry-leading Service Quality Guarantee, it only applies to purchases made by paying members. As such, Mr***’s purchase does not qualify due to his membership type. Mr*** was offered the opportunity to upgrade his membership on 6/19/to qualify for our Complaint Resolution Process to receive additional assistance. Mr*** joined Angie's List on February 22, 2017. He spoke to a representative the day he made his purchase. At that time, the different types of membership and the benefits offered by each membership type were explained to Mr*** That said, Mr*** has been in contact with a supervisor at Angie’s List. The supervisor explained that leaving a review was the best opportunity for the Mr*** to provide his feedback regarding the work performed by the company. We are certainly appreciative of the review and feedback provided by Mr***. Companies that offer eCommerce deals on the Angie’s List website do not work for Angie’s List. Angie’s List does not instruct the company on how they run their business. The company is responsible for the quality of work and experience provided to members. The company has also received payment for the purchase Mr*** made through Angie’s List. frustration this process has caused. As *** *** mentioned, she purchased an offer from the company MKF Residential on February 27th, The offer had a promotional value of $4,400, but this promotional value expired on August 26th, 2015.When Angie’s List first received contact from *** *** about problems scheduling on September 18th, we asked a supervisor to reach out to her to help with the deal We may be able to help with scheduling problems, find another provider to do the work, or help refund the original deal to help with the purchase of a better fit We are committed to helping *** *** receive the service he paid for*** *** has been contacted directly by a supervisor able to help with this concern, and we are awaiting his response.As an exception to our standard policies, we have extended the offer beyond the expiration date, and have given several more months in order for her to use her credit She is never under any obligation to work with any particular provider if she is uncomfortable with them.I find it regrettable that we left *** *** feeling he had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.comWe strive to provide top-notch service to our membersWe are very sorry for the frustration and trouble *** *** has had to deal with. complaints filed against our company. I first wanted to apologize for any frustration or misinformation in the past. Mr*** is indeed a Silver member of Angie’s List, and as such is entitled to a $rebate on an ecommerce purchase made through Angie’s List. I believe there was originally some confusion about this, as the request Chris G*** received indicated Mr*** was inquiring about a promotional code, not an ecommerce rebate. I have addressed this confusion with Chris G***, who has contacted our Accounting Department to issue Mr***’s $rebate. These can take up to business days to arrive in the mail. Chris G*** will be contacting Mr*** personally to confirm this information. Any additional questions or concerns can be directed to Chris G*** directly I find it regrettable that we left Mr*** feeling he had no other recourse than to complain to the Revdex.com. Foguth signed a year-long agreement with Angie’s List on November 24, 2015, authorizing an early termination fee of 35% of the total contract value, we have decided to honor his request by waiving this early termination fee. MrFoguth made the agreement with us assuming that his advertisement would be placed at the top of search results, which ended up not being the case. Part of the reason behind this was the fact that multiple reviews on Mr*** company’s profile did not meet our review integrity guidelines. However, in light of any miscommunication or misunderstanding during the sales process, we have waived the early termination fee and canceled Mr*** advertising contractIn terms of the standing of Mr*** business profile, we do not remove companies entirely from Angie’s List. Even without *** *** *** *** providing a paid advertisement, their profile will be available for members to view, so that they can read reviews to make hiring decisions. The negative review that MrFoguth mentioned in his complaint appears to have been left by a genuine customer of his, as he has responded to the complaint in a way that indicates he is familiar with the consumer. Angie’s List did not create this review ourselves, nor do we “filter” positive or negative reviews, regardless of whether a company advertises or notIn short, I sincerely apologize that this customer is disappointed with their experience with Angie’s ListWe appreciate the feedback and ability to correct this situation to some extentThanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. Angie's List is being run by sociopathsThey hacked our account so many times that our bank is NOT working with them, they have forced them to return SOME of the many fraudulent accounts they opened like for example a RECREATION & FITNESS CONTRACTFence contractors don't run fitness companies while installingThey also open a slew of line item fraudulent accounts all designed to harass and annoy us for trying to hold them accountable for their errorsInstead of just fully refunding our account they are stealing and our bank has made very slow progress because the volume and number of fraudulent accounts even though they have established Angie's LIST is 100% in the wrong they have to open a fraud claim for each individual fraud chargeThis will take time and they began to do this from May to present there are still new fraud charges from this month aloneThey are trying to keep us tied up during the summer our busy season fighting and filing and answering the required questions to get any action takenThey have already made them give back a few small ones but they are so many if you would like I would put the Revdex.com of Indiana in direct touch with our financial institution and hear it direct from the Bank.Angies LiST is so cocky and bold that they would outright LIE in writing to the Revdex.com when we have proof from the bankKarma, I tell you some companies get a little TOO BIG for their own britches and they think they are ABOVE the law and will not be held accountable.Their answer was disgustingly 100% untrue and in private to the Revdex.com of Indiana reach out to us and we will provide for you all the proof direct from the bank about the past few months all the numerous hacks that are that Angie's List has waged on our business accountThe bank would not make Angie's List refund us if THEY were in the right, that is the whole point of a TRUE investigation BASED soley on FACTS not sociopathic statements from a company going down the toiletYou can't claim to be an honest reputable company while you are blatantly stealing from the top # veteran contractor family in CTChange your ads Angie's List, if you are predatory and sociopathic say what you are really are DESPERATE, if you weren't so DESPERATE why are you stealing from us and even though you get caught and investigated you still continue to stealWe honored our word last year and Angie's List did not honor theirs, it was made crystal clear UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE WE GOING TO DO BUSINESS AND PAY SOMEONE TO POST FRAUDULENT POSTS FROM CLIENTS ALLEGING ILLEGAL ACTIVITY ON A DAILY BASIS FROM THE BUSINESS OWNER, UNACCEPTABLE AND WE ASKED FOR PROOF OF THIS ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR ON A DAILY BASIS AND NEVER RECEIVED IT, GUESS WHAT? BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENED AND ANGIES LIST KNOWS THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE SIGNED ONLY BECAUSE WE WERE PROMISED AND ASSURED BY PATRICK S*** AND AARON P***, I ASKED THEM TO EXTEND MY SIGNING UNTIL AFTER IT WAS REMOVED AND THEY ASSURED *** THERE WAS NO NEED TO EXTEND BECAUSE THEY HAD ALREADY INVESTIGATED AND WERE REMOVING THE ALLEGATION OF DAILY ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, THEY NEVER DIDIF THEY DID NOW I WOULD NOT KNOW THEY BLOCKED US OUT OF OUR OWN ACCOUNT AND PUT AN "IMPLYING AND INFERRING" STATEMENT OVER OUR ACCOUNT INFERRING THAT WE DID SOMETHING WRONG WHEN THE PROOF CLEARLY RESTS WITH THE BANK THAT THEY WERE CAUGHT ILLEGALLY AND FRAUDULENTLY TAKING FUNDS AND HAVE CONTINUE TO DO SO REPEATEDLY FOR MONTHS. company I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr*** for any frustration regarding our auto renewal programThis program was implemented as a result of member feedback indicating it would be convenient to renew without being required to call or mail in a request to do soWe acknowledge that with every improvement, we run the risk of offending a small portion of our membersSome people, caught off guard when their renewal goes through, clearly do not benefit from this intended convenienceBecause of this, Angie’s List strives to make sure that each member has the opportunity to learn about the program prior to paying for a membership, and we employ customer-friendly refund policies for situations such as thisThe following notification appeared on the online “Join” page that Mr*** used to sign up for a membership through our website in June of 2013:Continuous Service Membership: To ensure uninterrupted service, all Angie's List memberships are renewed automatically, using the credit card on fileAll of our annual memberships are renewed at the current membership rate on the first day of the month in which the current membership term ends, while monthly memberships are renewed at the current membership rate on the date in which the current membership term endsYou may cancel at any timeAnnual memberships are backed by our 110% money back, satisfaction guaranteeSorry, no refunds for monthly memberships.Additionally, this information is included in the welcome packet that is sent to the member’s home after signing up Mr*** contacted us via chat on 6/30/requesting cancellation of his membership This is the first time we have received any communication from Mr*** since his membership began in He was refunded $following that chat conversation for his most recent renewal, which took place in June of In light of Mr*** not making searches during the 2014-year of his membership, and his statement that he canceled in the past, we will make an exception Unfortunately, we could not find record of this cancellation request As a courtesy, we have refunded the additional $12, charged in June of 2014, as Mr*** has requested.We strive to provide top-notch service to our membersAgain, we sincerely apologize for any frustration this caused.
