October 7, 2015Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] Peggy, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention We appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our company I first wanted to apologize for any frustration or misinformation in the past Ms [redacted] is indeed a Premium member of Angie’s List, and as such is entitled to a $rebate on an ecommerce purchase made through Angie’s List I believe there was originally some confusion about this, as Ms [redacted] received a previous rebate check in April of this year However, we award rebate checks based on membership renewal date, not calendar year, so as of this summer, Ms [redacted] was indeed eligible for this second $rebate.I apologize for the delays caused by confusion However, on September 25th, we did cut a new $check and mailed it to Ms [redacted] , at the address she gave for this complaint She hopefully has already received the check, although as of this morning, it had not been cashed Please share my personal email address with Ms [redacted] If she has not received the check, I would be happy to work with her to get the check reissued I find it regrettable that we left Ms [redacted] feeling no other recourse than to complain to the Revdex.com We always aim to provide top-notch service to our members, and in this case we have clearly dropped the ball. Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint Jesse ***Angie’s List

Thanks very much for the opportunity to respond to this reviewI have contacted this member personally to help work through the problems she mentioned in this complaint At the root of her issue is our lack of data in her part of the country Though she did not request it, I processed a full refund of her membership and thanked her for giving us a try We look forward to receiving more reviews and building up the network of listed providers in her area She has my direct contact information and I'd be happy to speak to her again personally if any issues are unresolvedThanks again for bringing this to our attention and allowing us to respondJesse B***

June 21, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our company I apologize for the delay in my response I first wanted to apologize to Mr [redacted] for any frustration he has experienced during the sale or cancellation of his advertisement On 9/3/2015, Mr [redacted] electronically agreed to advertise with Angie’s List for one year per the attached agreement We require each prospective advertiser to sign a contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay for these servicesEach contract includes a standard cancellation fee of 35% of the remaining balance of the agreementOur advertising can never guarantee lead generation or a certain number of phone calls per week; instead it guarantees placement on the website We have reviewed our sales process and customer service interactions with Mr***We would have preferred to continue working with ***’s [redacted] as an advertiser on Angie’s List, but given that Mr [redacted] is no longer willing to advertise with us and in light of any misunderstanding or customer service issues over the duration of his advertising, we will consider his contract cancelled and have agreed to waive our standard Early Termination Fee for this contractWe will also be retroactively cancelling Mr***’s contract dating back to 5/19, due to his original request In short, I sincerely apologize that this customer is disappointed with their experience with Angie’s ListWe strive to provide top-notch customer service, and would welcome another chance to work with Mr***’s business Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information Kind regards, Jesse B [redacted] Angie’s List

August 29, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to respond to complaints against our company On 1/24/2017, Mr [redacted] started to advertise with Angie’s List for one year We require each prospective advertiser to electronically sign a contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay for these servicesOur advertising can never guarantee lead generation or a certain number of phone calls per week; instead it guarantees placement on the website We did look back through the sales process, and did not find that there was any misleading or confusing commentary on our end Each contract includes a standard cancellation fee of 35% of the remaining balance of the agreementMr [redacted] was notified of the early termination fee during the sales process We apologize that we were not able to satisfy Mr [redacted] during the course of his advertising relationship, as Angie’s List was in constant contact with Mr [redacted] offering assistance The review in question was never used as a bargaining or negotiating tool to encourage Mr [redacted] to sign a new contract Angie’s List is audited annually to confirm that it is upholding both advertisers and non-advertisers to the same standards regarding review verification practices Angie’s List audited the review at Mr [redacted] ’s request and determined that the review was properly verified and would remain on Mr [redacted] ’s company Mr [redacted] has made statements regarding this review that are not factual or present in the review There is no claim of any criminal activity or statements indicating that his company is harassing the member on a daily basis From the information available on Mr [redacted] ’s profile, it would appear that his concern regarding the bank is in relation to his cancellation of his credit card that was on file with Angie’s List Since his contract with Angie’s List is set up as a recurring payment for Angie’s List with the bank, the bank automatically updated his credit card with Angie’s List when a new credit card was issued Angie’s List works directly with financial institutions to update cancelled or expired credit cards to assure that recurring payments that have been set up by customers do not lapse when a new card is issued This is for the convenience of the customer, as it can be difficult to remember to contact every party that a customer has a recurring payment set up This allowed Angie’s List to charge Mr [redacted] for the funds he authorized Angie’s List to charge based on his contract To insinuate that Angie’s List would create ‘accounts’ to defraud the company is inaccurate Mr [redacted] did have multiple Client Success Managers throughout his tenure with Angie’s List The reassignment of these Client Success Managers was at the request of Mr [redacted] on multiple occasions Mr [redacted] ’s statement that he was met with ‘aggressiveness and hostility’ is unfortunate, as Angie’s List strives to provide professional customer experiences I sincerely apologize that this customer is disappointed with their experience with Angie’s List Angie’s List has also agreed that a business relationship with Mr [redacted] is not beneficial due to issues with professionalismWe delivered to the extent of our contractMr [redacted] ’s contract has been cancelled and the early termination fee has been invoiced Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information Kind regards, Jesse M [redacted] Angie’s List
