September 15, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] ***, Thank you for the opportunity to address Ms***’s complaint response On 4/20/2016, Ms [redacted] electronically agreed to advertise with Angie’s List for one yearWe require each prospective advertiser to sign a contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay for these servicesEach contract includes a standard cancellation fee of 35% of the remaining balance of the agreement Angie’s List will acknowledge that the membership options have changed, which will only result in more leads provided to the companies who are invested in Angie’s List Angie’s List has kept the same paid membership base and increased the number of daily member joins exponentially The increased amount of traffic to the Angie’s List website will only increase the opportunity for Ms***’s business to generate leads through their advertising campaign with Angie’s List Ms***’s credit card was charged for the cancellation and later refunded We have now invoiced Ms [redacted] for the funds owed to Angie’s List She advised that she received an invoice from our collections department providing her with the total amount owed In short, I sincerely apologize that this customer is disappointed with their experience with Angie’s ListWe strive to provide top-notch customer service, and would welcome another chance to work with Mr [redacted] s business Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information Kind regards, Jesse M [redacted] Angie’s List

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI accept their apology; however, they make the assumption that I requested an account They have said themselves that they have no record of me having an accountI do not want an Angie's List account because it cannot be used from state to state Since I am in the Army, I need something I can use in any state that I happen to live inI use only one personal email account The email account that I am using for this action with the Revdex.com is my work account and I chose this one because I know that most of the interaction was going to occur during the day when I am at work So, if they cannot find an account attached to my personal email, it is likely because I do not have an account with them Having said that, why am I then being charged $for an account? In one email from their customer service representative, the amount they said an account costs is $ If the account were real, then they would be charging me $more than they should Also, I have an email from one of their customer service representatives asking me for my banking information (which is why I added phishing to the complaint) because they cannot find an account for me I did give them the last four of my credit card that they billed which they then should have been able to search The search should have gone something like this: $billed to Then, they could have a smaller pool from which to search for the charge they billed to my VISA cardAs a summary: They readily admit that they don't have an account for me Yet, they charged me for an account that they say I don't have When I tried to resolve it, they asked for my banking information Neither of these is acceptableMy bank fixed the charge, but at their expense Angie's List should not think that the bank should have to pay for an account that does not exist for me either They now owe my bank $Regards, [redacted] ***

February 22, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our company I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms [redacted] for all the frustration she experienced It looks like Ms [redacted] signed up in October of last year to look into providers The monthly membership she opted for online does default to autorenewal However, we employ customer-friendly refund policies for situations such as thisThough Ms [redacted] only mentioned $as the disputed charge in this complaint, it does not appear that she has logged into her membership since November, so I have refunded the charges from December through February, totaling $being returned to Ms [redacted] ’s cardThough Ms [redacted] wrote to us on 2/and asked to cancel her account, we did not receive any prior phone or email correspondence from her I apologize for this oversight, and wonder if perhaps Ms [redacted] wrote in from an address we didn’t recognize? Angie's List has nothing further to discuss on this matter The contract this customer willingly entered into is for advertising exposure and makes no mention of a single representative handling this customer's account The customer had an entire team devoted to assisting him with his advertising campaign, which guaranteed him the ability to reach a representative on that team during business hours There was no change in the terms or conditions of his contract We have confirmed with this customer that his advertising had resulted in a return on his advertising investment We wish this customer the best and can confirm that his contract has been cancelled at this time

The proper and moral thing to do would be to change it to a non-paid membership and allow the customer to upgrade when and IF they want Regards, [redacted]
