Statement "Mr*** was eligible to purchase a replacement offer through Angie’s List before his offer expired on 10/4/2015" was never relayed at the time when I reached out Angie's list customer support and was told I can reuse the funds for another deal Also the offer provided now "Extension of days" is such way that I have to purchase another deal on my own and apply for reimbursement which is not acceptable and have already rejected that as I dont want to invest more money when I am fighting to get my original amount. Acceptable offer to me would be to allow me to purchase another deal using the money I already spent and timeline of 30days would be fine.

Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story regarding
complaints filed against our company.
I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms*** for the frustration she has endured as a result of being enrolled in our auto renewal programThis program was implemented as a result of member feedback indicating it would be convenient to renew without being required to call or mail in a request to do soWe acknowledge that with every improvement, we run the risk of offending a small portion of our membersSome people, caught off guard when their renewal goes through, clearly do not benefit from this intended convenienceBecause of this, Angie’s List strives to make sure that each member has the opportunity to learn about the program prior to paying for a membership, and we employ customer-friendly refund policies for situations such as this. Ms*** should have been notified by the representative that assisted signing her up over the phone of the auto renewal policy. Following that, she should have received a welcome packet that included the auto renewal information. Additionally, she would have seen this information the first time she signed on to the website:
Continuous Service Membership: To ensure uninterrupted service, all Angie's List memberships are renewed automatically, using the credit card on fileAll of our annual memberships are renewed at the current membership rate on the first day of the month in which the current membership term ends, while monthly memberships are renewed at the current membership rate on the date in which the current membership term endsYou may cancel at any timeAnnual memberships are backed by our 110% money back, satisfaction guaranteeSorry, no refunds for monthly memberships
Ms*** signed up with her first membership in 2007, associated with the email address ***@netscape.comThat membership has been expired since 1/12/Ms*** joined again over the phone on 9/25/2013, creating a membership associated with the email address ***@comcast.netI apologize for any miscommunication; there were no notes on Ms***’s second account indicating that she did not want to continue her membership. Ms*** contacted us via phone on 9/30/requesting cancellation of her account, and future renewals were stopped at that timeMs*** contacted us via phone on 10/8/2014, requesting a full refund be issuedThe representative contacted our accounting department to have the refund processedA full refund of $was issued back to Ms***’s financial account on 10/13/Although refunds are immediate on our end, it may have taken a few days for those to post to Ms***’s financial account
I find it regrettable that we have failed Ms***We strive to provide top-notch service to our membersIt is clear from the tone of this complaint that we have missed the markI sincerely apologize for any frustration this caused
Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. That response only shows how unethical Angie's List is I'm not denying that I agreed to advertise I am saying that Angie's List notified me of all my options and absolutely stated that every advertising contractor MUST be licensed In fact when I registered my information with on Angie's List it asks you to upload your license so Angie's List knows from day one if a company is licensed or not Again they do not care as long as the unlicensed business is paying to advertise and they don't get reported IT SHOULD NOT BE MY RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE YOUR CLIENTS ARE PROPERLY LICENSED YOU STATED THEY WERE AND I TRUSTED THAT ANGIES LIST NOT PROPERLY SCREENING THEIR CLIENTS IS COMPLETELY UNETHICAL WHICH THEY THEN FALSELY ADVERTISE TO THE CONSUMERS THEY JUST ADMITTED TO THAT I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS ADVERTISING AGAINST UNLICENSED COMPETITORS If you do not reimburse me I am going to upload the emails and recorded conversationsSpecifically the one when I asked Patrick Selby for copies of our supposedly "recorded" conversations when he stated "Angie's List is a publicly traded company and I will not release any information that could incriminate Angie's List." To this day you are still falsely advertising some of the contractors I reported And we all know that most of your clients all over the country are not properly licensed I'm sure a legitimate audit will prove thatAgain they did not advise me of the multiple categories for pressure washing nor is it in the contract As you know I complained numerous times starting in My first account manager apologized and stated he wanted to pass me onto a veteran manager who could better assist me who was Karey Morris Again the only things she offered to me were more forms of advertising like groupon type deals that would cost more money for me Additionally as everyone knows the businesses always lose money when the advertising company take 50% Karey Morris then passed me along to Bryon Craven who again stated he wanted me to spend more money I advised each one that I absolutely refused to spend another penny on other Angie's List programs until my monthly service fee was at least paying for itself As for my other business, *** ** ***, you DID NOT waive the early termination fee(ETF) You overcharged me for months and then you did charge me the ETF I asked you numerous times for a detailing billing report as well as documented proof that I agreed to continue advertising although you refused all my requests Only when I brought it to the Revdex.com did you reimburse me one (1) month Feel free provide the detailed billing reports so we can show the Revdex.com the truthIf anyone is wondering how Angie's List works and how they expect a business to be successful heres how: The business pays to advertise Angie's List provides little review card (which you have to print yourself) They expect you to give these cards to your customers (these are not customers from Angies List) and try to get them to pay for an Angie's List membership and have them write a review Now they can write a review even if they don't become a member although it only counts for your business's GPA (this is what makes you more visible and where you are placed against your competitors on their website) if they pay for a membership So basically they expect the client to do all the leg work The business pays to advertise and the business brings in new paying members It's actually genius but they do not give you any of this information up front Once you start complaining they will try to give you other options which actually cost more money and who knows if they work either And they will keep passing you around from account manager to account manager each asking to give them a chance for at least a few more months to make you successful Here you will eventually realize they are just trying to keep you paying as long as they possibly can With all that said I DO NOT accept Angie's List's response I want a full refund based on false pretenses and competing against UNLICENSED contractors and if they refuse I will take the necessary steps to get this resolved I will be sure to take this to the media and pass this on to my attorney We can get a subpoena for all your recorded conversations if you would like? Now just refund my money so we all can move on

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Angie's List has responded to Revdex.com with the same rhetoric that they have used responding to me. According to them if a "member" signs the pledge it must be true. What do they do to enforce that pledge? The review is posted in December of for work done in 2007. Is this not suspicious? The member is not responding to Angie's List. Is this not suspiciousLook at my record. I have always played by the rules set forth.Angie's List employees have left it up to the service provider. They want me to reach out to a stranger, when that person does not respond to them who they claim made a pledge of truthfulness to Angie's List.I have had to send repeated emails and to escalate this within Angie's List. Some of the employees of Angie's List have ignored my emails. I have saved the entire file. Why would I not reach out to a 3rd party given their employee's performance and lack of action in this case.I am part of a office franchise system nationwide. We have a discussion board internally and I am not alone in my complaint's of Angie's List tactics on this board. I will not speak for other offices disputes with Angie's List, however I am not alone.Prove it or remove it!Prove it and I will address it. Simple

complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr*** for any confusion regarding his membership All of our memberships have defaulted to automatic renewal prior to Mr*** joining as a member on 3/21/Our auto renewal program was implemented as a result of member feedback indicating it would be convenient to renew without being required to call or mail in a request to do soWe acknowledge that with every improvement, we run the risk of offending a small portion of our membersSome people, caught off guard when their renewal goes through, clearly do not benefit from this intended convenienceBecause of this, Angie’s List strives to make sure that each member has the opportunity to learn about the program prior to paying for a membershipWe also email members prior to the renewal date to notify them of the upcoming charge Mr*** joined Angie’s List on 3/21/and purchased a four year membership with a promo code for a 30% discount. Mr*** agreed to automatic renewal on his account when he joinedHis membership also informs him that his account will be automatically renewed on the date that ends his current term. In 2012, Mr*** had a poor experience with an eCommerce purchase. As a customer service gesture, the representative assisting Mr*** extended his membership for months for free. At the end of Mr***’ four year membership term, Mr*** was automatically renewed on 6/21/for $23.75. At the end of that year of membership, Mr*** was automatically renewed on 6/21/for $23.75. Since Mr*** has disputed the $charge for the automatic renewal, he has received the maximum refund allowed for his membership. A refund for a previous membership term is not appropriate, as Mr*** agreed to the automatic renewal when he joined and did not contact Angie’s List to request a refund within that calendar year Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr*** for the difficulties in pursuit of his Big Deal refundAccording to our records, Mr*** contacted us on 11/11/to ask for assistance with his purchase, which was made on 10/10/All Angie’s List eCommerce purchases have a Day Refund Guarantee. All members must request a refund within days of purchaseMr*** was contacted on 11/15/regarding his request for a refund outside of days. Mr*** responded to the initial email sent on 11/22/2016. Unfortunately, the representative assisting Mr*** was off for vacation time preceding the Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend, which resulted in Mr*** not receiving a follow up email. I have reviewed Mr***’s specific refund request and deemed that an exception can be granted due to the scheduling and communication issues Mr*** experienced with the service provider. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this response/resolution is reasonable.Angies list has marketing that aggressively through multiple emails alerts you that you may miss out on buying a deal but they don't alert their customers that a purchased deal is about to expire A bathroom remodel is complex and circumstances (child birth, new job, etc.) made it difficult to complete in the designated time.I had to contact you because I contacted them three times and I did not get assurance that things would be handled properly My only option for contacting them was electronically unless I paid more money They said the business owner was misinformed but he told me that he received his response from them.. I received a call from Angie's List on Monday and I have returned his call leaving a messageI am willing to work with them to resolve this reasonably.
