Angie's List, LLC Reviews (971)

I was promised a lead generating website on a Angie's List where the customers are upper-middle-class ready to buy thousands of people a day look on Angie's list for my services.literally the only thing I got from Angie's list was a billi have not felt this ripped off in a long time

I would like to know the dollar amount of the credit that is being offeredWhat was offered was a credit for the 35% early termination fee being waived and a credit for the months my ad ran incorrectly, but that still leaves the actual credit amount unknownIf you could give me a breakdown of what that would amount to like 35% off the $1,up-front fee for a $credit and $per month for each month my ad ran incorrectly for a $creditThat would be helpful. *** ***

October 6, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn*** *** Re: Complaint Case # *** ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story
regarding complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr*** for any confusion regarding his membership All of our memberships do default to an automatic renewalOur auto renewal program was implemented as a result of member feedback indicating it would be convenient to renew without being required to call or mail in a request to do soWe acknowledge that with every improvement, we run the risk of offending a small portion of our membersSome people, caught off guard when their renewal goes through, clearly do not benefit from this intended convenienceBecause of this, Angie’s List strives to make sure that each member has the opportunity to learn about the program prior to paying for a membershipWe also email members prior to the renewal date to notify them of the upcoming charge Mr*** joined Angie’s List on 9/30/as a member through an online purchase. Mr*** used his membership the first month of joining and has not used the membership since. With that being said, Mr***’s credit card information that was on file changed during the course of his year of membership. Mr*** may have cancelled his credit card, but had not cancelled his membership with Angie’s List until 10/4/2016. His membership has been cancelled, effective 9/30/when the automatic renewal charge failed due to the change of his credit card information. Prior to 10/4/2016, Mr*** had not contacted Angie’s List since joining to request any changes to his membership, which is why his automatic renewal was scheduled for 9/30/2016. Mr***’s complaint has been resolved as of 10/4/when he contacted Angie’s List to request cancellation of his already expired account. Angie’s List did not charge Mr*** for the automatic renewal due to the failed payment. As Mr*** has requested, I have unsubscribed him from all email correspondence from Angie’s List. This may take a few business days to complete, as Angie’s List has pre-populated email distribution lists already set to go out to members Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. Kind regards, Jesse M*** Angie’s List

December 28, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn*** *** Re: Complaint Case # *** ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to respond to complaints against our
company The Angie’s List Super Service Award honors excellence among service and health pros who maintain superior service ratings and reviews on Angie’s List. The award is a prestigious, annual distinction and is intended to recognize the best-in-class providers who demonstrate trustworthy and consistent high-levels of customer service from the past year and overall Only the top 5% of providers in each designated category in each market are eligible for the award. There are several minimum criteria that are considered. The provider must maintain an average GPA of for their overall grade with Angie’s List. The provider must maintain an average GPA of for their recent grade from their reviews over the last three years with Angie’s List. The company must be in good standing with Angie’s List and have received at least three work performed reviews from members in the designated category from November 1, to October 31, 2016. Angie’s List does maintain four award acceptance requirements. Our members expect the best, therefore there are minimum credential requirements to have the opportunity to claim the award through our acceptance process. The provider must have a current, passed background check on file. The provider must record an honest and current trade license attestation. We expect providers are appropriately licensed for all of the services they provide in all of the areas they service. The provider must stay in good standing with Angie’s List (no exclusions). The company must complete the basic, required profile information as a minimum This is great news for Mr***! He doesn’t have to make any monthly payments or be an advertiser with Angie’s List to accept the Super Service Award, for which he has been nominated! I’m not sure why he has submitted a complaint to the Revdex.com at this time, as the complaint expressed does not exist. The acceptance of the Super Service Award is 100% FREE to all nominees. We strive to provide top notch customer service, and we regret that Mr*** felt that he had no recourse but to turn to the Revdex.com Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. Kind regards, Jesse M*** Angie’s List

April 21, 2015 Indianapolis Revdex.comEWashington StreetIndianapolis, IN 46202Attn*** ***Re: Complaint Case # *** ***, On January 23, 2015, Mr*** did agree to advertise with Angie’s List for one year. Mr*** did agree to the terms electronically on 1/23/Before Angie’s List will publish an advertisement, we require each prospective advertiser to agree to the contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay forthese servicesMr*** also spoke with one of our representatives on Thursday, April 16th regarding his advertising. This Revdex.com complaint is the first time we were made aware that Mr*** wanted to cancel his advertising agreement. During a deeper investigation of Mr***’s company’s profile due to this complaint, we did find that the two reviews that were on his company violate Angie’s List review policies. We were able to see that the provider and the two members that submitted the reviews shared contact information. They were therefore deemed a conflict of interest and they were removed. Mr*** was made aware of this on Friday, April 17th. Companies must have positive reviews on Angie’s List to be eligible to offer discounts to our members. Because these reviews were removed from Angie’s List, Mr***’s company is no longer eligible. His advertising agreement has therefore been pulled. His account manager, *** *** left a voicemail for Mr*** today. Mr*** can reach *** *** directly at *** if he has any further questions or concerns. At this time, we have resolved this customer's request and issued a full refund for their ecommerce purchase. We did respond to the customer's email requests concerning Angie's List in a timely manner. We are sorry to hear about this customer's dissatisfaction

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Once again the statements made by Angie's List contain inaccuracies:1) The $second check is NOT a 10% guarantee payment, but rather a prorated refund of a second city Angie's List subscription that is not included as part of this complaintDoes anyone really believe given how strongly Angie's List refuses to honor their 110% guarantee that they would be unable to correctly calculate the extra 10% and send me "a little bit more than 10%"?2) You should stop apologizing because it is obvious that it is not sincere Your behavior would not be like this, if you were truly sorry. To date I have not received an additional check, therefore I am still requesting Angie's List honor their 110% refund guarantee of $ ($+ $- $11.60)

complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms*** for the difficulties in pursuit of her Big Deal refundAccording to our records, Ms*** contacted us on 6/1/to ask for a refund of her purchase, which was made on 2/22/All Angie’s List eCommerce purchases have a Day Refund Guarantee that only applies if no work has been performed. All members must request a refund within days of purchase I have reviewed Ms***’s specific refund request and deemed that an exception can be granted since the service provider missed their scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, Ms*** has provided Angie’s List with conflicting information regarding her refund request. I have contacted the company she made her purchase with and sent Ms*** an email to gather the additional information necessary to assist Ms***. The phone number Ms*** provided in her Revdex.com complaint only elicits an error message when I attempted to call her. Moving forward, Angie’s List will be working with Ms*** directly to resolve her refund request I find it regrettable that we left Ms*** feeling she had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.com, however Ms*** contacted the Revdex.com prior to allowing Angie’s List to assist herWe strive to provide top-notch service to our members Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information.
