Apple Automotive Reviews (128)

Review: In March 2013, I purchased a vehicle in cash from Apple Auto Wholesalers. After taking it back numerous times because it kept stalling on me, I was finally able to start enjoying it in May, 2013. March 19, 2014, I was on the highway when I heard this horrible grinding noise. I waited for my husband to get home so he could investigate. He lifted the hood, and the transmission was hanging! Confused, we looked underneath the truck, and everything, I mean everything, is completely rotted away. The frame that holds the transmission in, is completely gone. Pipes underneath the truck are hanging. Had this vehicle been safety inspected before purchase, it would have failed. My truck is no longer driveable nor it's replaceable because of it being a Unibody vehicle. I dished out my early life savings on this vehicle to have something "safer" to drive my children in. Isn't your companies motto, "If it isn't good enough for our family, it isn't good enough for your's?" Well, it isn't good enough for my family and you people were well aware that it wasn't good enough for your's either.Desired Settlement: I wish to receive my $10,667.63 that I paid cash for.

Review: Complaint Detail (s)

On August 18, 2015 I walked in to [redacted] looking for a car. After I looked at several cars I saw one that somehow met my preferences, it was then when the negotiation started. I was not only asked but requested to hand out, the amount of money I was willing to put down for them to contact their banks with a “possible” approval. When the salesperson returned, the terms previously discussed were not the same. After some back and forth discussion and a trip to the sister company to see another vehicle at the Wolcott showroom, we still could not agree on something. I politely said I was just feeling pressured to choose a vehicle, and closed a contract so I wanted to sleep on it and come back in the morning.

When I woke up the next morning I decided to call them 15 minutes before they opened, to avoid any inconvenience or further appointment for that day and thanked them for assisting me in trying to purchase a car, but my parents were going to allow me to use an extra car they had for the time being and also that I would come down to the dealership so they could refund my $2,000 deposit they took from my Credit Card for the purposes of just inquiring. All I heard from the other side of the phone was discomfort and a disturbed reaction of my wishes expressing the lack of desire from salesperson to return my deposit. Right after that conversation I drove to the Dealership to discuss in person. The sales manger told me he would talk to the owner at noon because he was not there at the time, and would explain to him the “valid story” and reason why I was not buying a car and I needed my deposit back, also that I was going to received a phone call from them right after.

I never received a phone call by noon, so around 2:30pm I called and all I got as a response was that they were busy at the time with no further promise of taking care of my situation. I returned once again that afternoon, the owner was not there, and they gave me the same run around without a valid answer. The Sales Manager also stated that “since they worked hard on trying to make a deal the day before, they decided they were going to keep my $2,000, and if I wanted my money back I would have to fight them in court. I immediately called the [redacted] Police Department, who came right down, and saw the evidence or lack there of. The officer spoke with them and came back to me saying they promise that they were going to call me the next morning with my refund. That promise fell on deaf ears. At this point I decided to contact my bank to dispute this transaction on my debit card.

I have sent a formal complaint to Attorney [redacted], a consumer complaint to [redacted] (Department of [redacted]) and also a complaint and review to Revdex.com (Revdex.com), which I happened to find out not only they are “not a Revdex.com accredited business”, but also they had several complaints against them and awful reviews with very unsatisfied costumers.

I would like to alert the hard working public who struggles to get by in todays economy, and don’t let these salespersons at dealerships fool you, and to be aware of [redacted]. Known also as [redacted].

If we could do a spot and investigation at the location in [redacted] to warn the public of the practices of this company, I feel we could do great public service.

I have documentation to support the events of my story. Thank you so much for your consideration. I will attach all paperwork, and my credit card receipt for $2,000. As you will see none of the paperwork is completed or signed by the dealership. When I contacted the [redacted] I was told even if paperwork was completed and signed by all parties, if I do not take delivery of the car keys and drive it off the lot, I have no legal ties to the contract or car. I was quite far from filing out an agreement and even farther then from receiving keys and driving off. This is out and out robbery!Desired Settlement: As of today August 21, 2015 I have not received any refund from them. I want my $2,000 back.

Review: I brought a 2011 [redacted] S5 from Apple Auto Wholesallers Monday March 10 2014. On the website the car has no frame damage but the carfax says it has unibody damage. I too the car to the auto body shop and they said in write the the frame use damage. Please help me solve this issue. Thank you.Desired Settlement: Full refund or money back and pay what the car true value is.

Business

Response:

After reviewing the file for the last couple of days. We have collected data from the actual tittle of this vehicle and saw NO frame damage/ flood or reported on this vehicle. Also, the CARFAX is not reporting ANY accidents with this vehicle WHATSOEVER. We have contacted Carfax and they are in the process of contacting the Auction that this vehicle was sold to determine why a vehicle with NO Accidents is showing a Possible Frame damage based on a visual inspection by the seller.

Furthermore, based on the information on the actual CARFAX this vehicle should be sold for $1600.00 less than its actual retail value.

Review: I have had my car for almost a year now. I have had continuous issues with it. I have called for months upon months when everything started to occur about a year ago. I called non stop as well as my mom called too to try to get through to the manager and/or owner. We both got the same run around that they were either busy or not there. I left I cant even tell you how many messages and not once did anyone get back to me. When I purchased my vehicle I asked about a [redacted] and if there were accidents. they said bc there was no internal damage that they did not have to tell me about the 4 previous accidents it was in before I purchased it. I had to pay out of pocket to get it all fixed because no one would return my phone calls. When I first purchased my vehicle they were supposed to put new all season tires on my car bc the tread was so low, and that did not happen until late winter when I had to bring a family member in with me because no one would give me answers. It was very dangerous for me to be driving this past winter with how bad my tires were. Then also come to find out the entire inside vents and filters were damaged and it couldnt hold any coolant in. And I have issues where I would get over heated really quick and then I would pass out. I was rushed to the ER many times growing up because of it so its always been a huge danger. So with how hot it was this past spring and summer and the AC not working I had to risk getting over heated when I was going back and forth to school and work. Not one person would answer my phone calls when I tried calling to get it fixed. I also had to get the brakes done and the rotars were completely shot and had to get all of those replaced. I have been calling non stop for about 2 months now trying to get the service papers on my car and the safety check records. When I called and spoke with a manager they gave me the same run around everytime that they would go to service and get all the paperwork to give me. That NEVER happened. I went in there and they "couldnt" give me the paper work because no one was in service. And when I called about a week ago and spoke with the service manager he told me that he refuses to give me any copies of paperwork because he doesnt have to and just wont do it. This place has screwed me out of so much money that I have had to pay out of pocket to get things fixed that they did not fix or check. Moreso, just the fact of how bad the brakes and rotars were is enough and how dangerous last winter was. Then with how scary it was in the summer because of my issue with my nerves which I can get a note from the hospital/DR for. Its been very dangerous driving that car. I can get copies of all the work that had to be done on my car.Desired Settlement: I would like for every cent that I put into that vehicle back. I have paid so much because they neglected to tell me about all the accidents and damage that it was in. I cannot keep driving this vehicle, it is a hazard in too many ways.

Thank You very much for your Business. We really try to make our customers 100% happy with whatever car they choose from Apple Automotive. Our cars are hand picked by one of our team members and before is put out for sale it must pass our rigorous safety check. We do apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused and we look forward to try to make this right next time. We have indeed replaced the tires at NO CHARGE even after our warranty had expired As a GOOD WILL gesture. To this date, there are no records of any maintenance done here at the dealership whatsoever. Oil changes, Batteries Check ups, Tire Rotations, Tune Ups or any factory recommended services. Not sure where and when this services have been completed. Its been almost a year since you purchase this car and I would like to know how many miles are on this vehicle currently. I am not sure what the customer is looking for on this complaint, However, I would like to offer one Service Appointment and a winter tune up free at cost. Once again thank you for you business and we look forward to hear from you Apple Team

I am rejecting this response because:

I have made many many phone calls, which I can prove, about the issues with my vehicle. And not one sales consultant, service team, manager, owner or anyone called me back or forwarded my messages. I have tried getting the issue resolved over the past year. And when I did speak with people in service, they refused to give me any and all documentation of any saftey checks they did. They have had many many many complaints and problems against them because of giving out bad cars one after another. When they finally did the tire replacement which was only 2 tires, it was practically the end of summer. I want every cent back that I have put into that car because of the lack of doing their job. Otheriwse I will take other precautions. Theres too much wrong with the car to keep driving it. I do not want any free services or tune ups or anything! They shouldve done their job in the first place. That car wasnt "specially picked". They picked a lemon that they lied about so they could hike up the price on it and screw people.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

Customer refuses to inform us of the current mileage on the car and what kind of maintenance work done by her for the past year besides the work done by Apple Automotive almost a year ago. Offer will be on the table until 11/30/2014. Customer seems unwilling to accept our offer for a FREE check up, and tune up.We wont be able to help anyone without looking at the car. Best regards

I am rejecting this response because:

I have already called in many many times explaining everything about my car. The mileage, the amount I have put into my car. Everything so I am not going to keep going back and forth. I have already had my car checked and fixed by a RELIABLE body shop. I do mot need you to do any work. I want all money back!

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

All repairs done by an outside vendor must be approved by Apple Automotive management before the work is started and completed. Specially if the customer works for the company that the work is being performed at. Our offer still on the table expires by the end of the month. Thanks Apple Team

I am rejecting this response because:

Any work completed on my vehicle was done by an outside CREDITED body shop due to the lack or response from the dealership in which I purchased my vehicle. I do not want any services done by Apple Auto. I have already gotten them done as I have already stated. I will be going another route.

Sincerely,

Response:

Miss [redacted] purchased a Vehicle with us back in March 2014. We are a bit confused as to why 18 months later all of a sudden she would put in such a Ludacris complaint. Apple Auto Wholesalers sells, "Dependable, Reliable and Quality Vehicles". None of our vehicles EVER leave our lot with out a full and complete 180 point safety inspection. If a vehicle does not pass inspection Apple Auto does not sell it. Miss [redacted]'s vehicle indeed passed it's safety inspection. Upon sale of this vehicle there was nothing wrong with it, and Miss [redacted] left Apple Auto an extremely happy customer. Any problems that Miss [redacted] alleges occurred with her vehicle must have transpired after purchase and delivery while in Miss [redacted]'s possession. Apple Auto Wholesalers has gone above and beyond to Make Miss [redacted] Happy fully aware that we are not responsible for what happens to a vehicle once it leaves our lot in excellent physical and mechanical condition. We still listened to her and addressed her concerns in a professional and timely manner. Apple Auto followed through with everything promised on our end. Miss [redacted] was fully aware of her loan terms and monthly payment as well. She signed all her paperwork happily and agreed with the terms and conditions. As far as her comments regarding forging or falsifying documents, This is clearly vindictive behavior and does not even warrant a response. Miss [redacted]'s complaint it is filled with nothing but misleading information and NO merit. It is also all over the place and couldn't be farther from the truth. Apple Auto Wholesalers pride's themselves on 100% customer satisfaction. Apple Auto is also an extremely reputable Wholesale Dealership. Our customer's are our family and we do what ever it takes to make them happy and keep them returning to us for all their vehicle needs and their friends and families vehicle needs as well. Again, Miss [redacted] left Apple Auto one of those happy customers and we are surprised after all that we've done for her here that she would submit such a fraudulent review on us. Customer credibility is what should be looked into. Apple Auto is sorry that Miss [redacted] feels this way and would be more than happy to discuss her concerns with her at any time. We wish her nothing but the best in the future and thank her for her business. Sincerely,Apple Auto Management
