Appleton Auto Reviews (125)

I haven't purchased a vehicle yet but Branden took the time to explain how I could get into a new one. I will be back.

I can't believe that I got a car! I bought a 2013 Ford Focus and I am very excited about what Deric was able to do for me! Highly recommend Appleton Auto for people trying yo get credit rolling! A++

I went in with my husband and had a great car-buying experience. The staff is always so friendly. Our salesman, John, was very knowledgable and helpful. So far we have purchased three cars from the company.

Review: After agreeing to purchase a car, we chose the car we wanted to purchased based on the. Numbers that came back from the finance department. Little did we know, we found out that the car was in fact not one that we test drove, but another car that looked the same. We later found out that this was called a bait and switch. We do not understand why it would matter the car because they told us that car was the only one they could sell us based on our trade in, but the prices of both cars were the same. We lost key features we were looking for. I also noticed that the oil was not changed and the tires were in worse condition. The tires are going to need to be replaced. The car was operating fine and we were just going to let it go, but now that their 3 month warranty is up, things just seem to be going down hill.Desired Settlement: Knocking some of the price down off the car or ability to trade in for a different vehicle not through this auto dealer.

Review: I Purchased a 2010 Chevy Equinox from Appleton Auto. I had to pay a $500.00 deductible per our agreement. I paid $300.00 of the down payment, and Took the car home on Wednesday, 02/05/2015, with the understanding that I would send in the remaining $200.00 of the down payment on Friday, 02/07/2015, when I got paid. Which, I did send in the remainder on that Friday.

When I signed all of the loan papers on 02/05/2015, I was told by the employee I was signing the papers with, that the second key, (which is one you cannot have made at a hardware store, because it is the keyless remote with a remote car starter programmed into it, and a special key for the ignition) that I would get the second keyless remote sent to me when he got the rest of the down payment.

I made my payment, on the day promised, and never received my second key from Appleton Auto. I live over an hour away from this dealership. I called numerous times, and never received a call back. I sent text messages to the sales person, [redacted], whom I worked with, and got no replies. I even stopped in there or two occasions, and was told that the manager whom I had worked with was on vacation, and would get back to me when he returned. He never got back to me.

I was promised that second keyless remote when I bought that car. I sent in the remainder of my down payment on the day I said I would and they did not ever send me that second key as promised. I only have one key to get into and start my vehicle. If I were to lose it, I am without any way to operate that vehicle that I paid over $15,000 for. The least they can do is follow through on their promise to provide me with that second key.

They were a horrible dealership to work with because they apply HEAVY "pressure to buy" techniques. You cannot not just show up there to browse. You have to make an appointment, and they try to shove the vehicle on you that day. They would not even give me a weekend to think about spending that amount of money, by saying that this price is only good for today, and they also will not give you the price of a vehicle and let you know what your payments will be until you commit to buying it. They also over-inflate the prices of their vehicles, and then offered me a $3000.00 trade in on my old vehicle. They did not give me $3000.00 off of the price. They are pushy, and have ridiculously priced vehicles, and do not follow through on their empty promises, nor call back and answer any questions. I just pray that I have no mechanical problems with my purchase, because I am scared to death that it will be a complete nightmare to get service.Desired Settlement: I want that key, or they can pay for one to be programmed if they lost the one I was promised the day I picked up the vehicle.

When I asked him for the second key, his exact words to me were, "I have to have something to keep in the event you do not make the rest of that down payment."

Mike [redacted] was an excellent salesman. He went above and beyond to get me the car I really wanted. He didn't try to up-sell me or put me in something I wouldn't be happy with. I will definitely refer him to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

I was apprehensive at first about going to Appleton Auto, but that disappeared as soon as I started talking with Jordan. He walked me through the process step by step, and helped me find the vehicle I wanted along with monthly payments that were in my price range. He answered all questions I had, as well as gave me information that I did not know. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend Appleton Auto as well as Jordan to anyone looking to buy a vehicle.

[redacted] at Appleton Auto was very friendly and professional in helping us to obtain an auto. We were put into a vehicle on the same day that my husband went to their lot to look. We are very happy with the vehicle that we purchased and will buy from Appleton Auto.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from this place May 3rd. I was told by the sales person that the vehicle was under warranty. The car has scratches etc on it. I chose this place due to the fact I could get financing through them. I know I was charged more then the vehicle was truely worth but due to needing a new vehicle I went with it. During the process of looking at vehicles we asked about the reverse (rear park assist) on the specific car we were looking at. We could see it was broken and the car alarms when you would back up saying it wasn't working. The sales lady assured both my dad and I that if it was not covered under warranty which she said it was, that they would then cover it and take care of it. I ended up buying this vehicle with the assumption it was under warranty and that some of the issues we found would be covered. After buying the car I made an appointment with a gm certified dealership. Broadway. They called me later informing me that my car was not under warranty. It had expired in December. I then contacted the sales lady I worked with by phone and email. At first I did not get a reply. A day or 2 later I contacted her on her mobile phone by text. She replied that the manager was dealing with this and asked for my patience. She then said I would hear back Tuesday. Tuesday came and I did receive an email saying they were working on it. Wednesday then came and I received an email saying they would not be helping me with this issue saying that it was all disclosed. Both my dad and I specifically asked them about this issue. Here is the response. Thanks for being patient while my manager looked into this matter. He has checked the original window sales sticker and the rear park assist was disclosed as something that was not working on the vehicle and it is not a safety issue. Unfortunately the factory warranty has expired on that vehicle which is not something that is under our control. We are not able to fix this issue being that we already disclosed this.Desired Settlement: At this point they can have their vehicle back. I don't feel they are honest at all. A lot of their vehicles do not even have stickers on them. They won't talk price until you tell them you will work with them and sign stating so. I have many emails from them that I can pass on. I would be willing to work with them if they will do something about this. I have other issues with them also that I would love to explain but I am out of room.

Customer signed a Wisconsin buyers guide

That fully disclosed the issues they want fixed.

Wanted a new truck and stopped by Appleton auto. I met Tony and he was very attentive to my budget and helped me find a truck I love. Thank you, Tony.

We were looking for a big suv and we loved the GMC Acadia they had on the lot. We worked with Tye and he was very helpful in getting us the suv within our budget. The manager was great with getting us new key fab too. Great place to buy a newer used vehicle.

I received excellent service from Jordan at Appelton Auto. I wasn't able to get a vehicle, but he took the time to show me exactly how I could get into a better vehicle. I would recommend everyone with credit issues goes and see Jordan.

jack was such a sweetheart help me every way possible to get me into my sweet ride

[redacted] helped me pick out my 2013 Toyota Camry. I know very little about cars and [redacted] was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. He walked me through everything and made what normally would have been a very stressful situation significantly easier. It is very clear that [redacted] knows what he's selling and what he's talking about and he was able to explain it all to me in simplistic terms. I greatly appreciated his superb customer service and his willingness to help me find exactly what I was looking for. Thank you [redacted] and the entire Appleton Auto Finance team.

Review: I heard on the radio this great deal from Appleton Auto. The deal included top trade in price for cars along with $4,300 towards a new vehicle. I called to make sure I understood this offer three different times. The first time I called they told me that I would be able to trade in two cars and receive $8,600 above and beyond the trade in value towards the purchase of one new car. I even stated that this sounds like a scam, and I was assured that it was as good as it sounds.

The second time, I was again reassured that I would receive $8,600 above and beyond the trade in value of the cars to put towards the purchase of one vehicle. I stated that I was not going to finance because we were only going to shop within the limits of what we were given for trade in. This was made perfectly clear. I was told that we could shop online for cars not located on their lot.

The third time that I called, I was told that they would even make this deal on three vehicles if that was what we have for trade in.

When I arrived at the dealership, I was told that we would only qualify for the $4,300 on one trade in. When I stated that I was told 3 different times when I called that I would qualify for the deal on each trade in, they sales guy went and got his manager. [redacted] more or less told us that we were mistaken because they have dealt with 250+ customers in the past 2 weeks and not one has said that was what they were told on the phone.

He said that he would pull the calls and listen to them and reprimand the ladies if they were giving out the wrong information. When I asked what he was going to do for the customer he said, "What do you want me to offer you some gas?" We drove from Fond du Lac to Appleton because the sales people were giving out wrong information.

I was extremely disappointed in the company for giving out the wrong information to customers, and then again at [redacted] for treating us the way he did.Desired Settlement: Honor the offer that was presented by the sales people.

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter. Please find the following as our formal response per your request.1. The advertisement says exactly this “ that old trade “ and “ your old trade “…both references to the offer is singular in nature, not plural. The ad is quite clear, is a fantastic offer with 100s of happy customers and during the time we have made this great offer, both now and in the past ….there has NEVER been any confusion about the offer being any thing other than singular in nature. No customer has ever been confused, no customer has ever tried, or even requested to trade in more than one car as in plural, and purchase just ONE car. We have had customers trade in 2 cars, and then purchase 2 cars. 2. In the customer's statement, they refer to “ cars “ as in plural, and then again in the same sentence state “ 4300$ towards a new vehicle “ as in singular….demonstrating that the customer is confused and directly contradicts their reason for the complaint.3. The sales staff did not ill-advise the customer, as the ad is clearly singular in the offer and they assumed the customer was trading in 2 cars, and desired to purchase 2 cars.4. [redacted] become aware of the confusion and did offer the customer gas as a good faith gesture for their inconvenience. We apologize to the customer for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.Appleton Auto

Very impressed with how well Appleton Auto handles business, everyone was understanding and friendly. Reggie really knows what he is doing and makes the experience easy. No one likes to admit they have poor credit but Reggie made me feel comfortable and eased my stress. There are many vehicles to choose from on the lot and others that can be brought to location if there is something else wanted. Great job guys!

My experience was great. Worked with Jordan [redacted]. He was patient, understanding of my situation and worked as an advocate for me to get the best rate possible. Would recommend Appleton Auto and Jordan to anyone looking for a great car buying experience.

I traded my 2006 Chrysler 300 AWD to Appleton Auto towards a 2014 Chrysler 300 AWD! So pumped. It was everything I wanted plus more. The process was as smooth as could be. Vinny the salesman and manager went above and beyond to locate, buy, and ultimately put me in the car I worked my butt off to have. Poor credit, fair credit, and good credit customers have a one stop shop with Appleton Auto. Thanks again to Vinny, Will, Kevin and Jason. The whole team made it happen!

Awesome!!! John [redacted] was amazing! Everyone was amazing. They are very friendly and work with you on everything. I didnt know what I was doing but they helped me through getting a car (MY FIRST CAR) only a year old and my payments are really cheap and the car is amazing. Great service!! I recommend everyone go there.

These guys are rockstars!!! I went in thinking I would not get approved for a second loan with my wife. They made happen yet again I love my new 2012 GMC Acadia
