Appleton Auto Reviews (125)

I went into Appleton Auto with my mind set on that I wasnt going to get a car so I wasnt even excited. [redacted] from Appleton Auto helped us out and he was super friendly. I told him that I wasnt getting excited because I knew we wouldnt get Approved for a new car. Anytime he left the desk and came back he was very confident that we were going to drive home with a new car. We traded in our truck and drove off with a 2012 Ford Escape and I couldnt be more happy with the service and the new vehicle. Thank You Appleton Auto for giving us a chance.

Brad [redacted] was the best salesman I've ever worked with. Application and driving off in my new car all in one day!!! I will 4 commend till the end of time

I had a great experience with Appleton Auto. This is my second car loan with them and [redacted] was extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly and made the process very easy. I recommend Kevin and Appleton Auto to all my friends as this is a rare dealership that really cares about the customers,

My experience at Appleton Auto was outstanding! Juneau 3000 and the staff were great! The efforts to go above and beyond to help me find a car that fit my budget was superior!!

Worked with salesman [redacted] he listened to my every need and want for a vehicle. So many options to choose from. I will refer all my family and friends to Appleton Auto for their next vehicles.

This place is awesome. I originally went to Russ Darrow and they were junk and I tried some other places which were disappointing, they were trying to sell me old vehicles for 2 to 3 times what they are worth. At Appleton Auto I had John Boyd for my salesperson and he was great I got a Kia Optima which is basically new. John worked hard for me and I had a blast in the process. 199ride.com is the best.

I recently visited [redacted] from Appleton Auto Sales, and while I did not end up purchasing a car here, I must write a post that it was a really great experience. (Mind you, it wasn't because we couldn't get financing, because his Finance Manager found us a great deal, but rather we chose to keep things simple with an older vehicle.) [redacted] found a vehicle that I really liked, but it was in their Wausau branch, but he set me up in their vehicle with their gas, and let me drive all the way to Wausau and take the vehicle I wanted out for a test drive, then let me bring that one back that I liked for my husband to look at. He was patient and really genuinely concerned about what was in the best interest of our family. I have kids, and he was great and patient and engaging with them as well. And when we didn't end up purchasing through him, he didn't make us feel like he wasted his time on us! I would definitely go back again if we are ever in need again. Classy dealership.

I am so appreciative and impressed with the help I received at Appleton Auto. I had heard the radio ads on several occasions and decided to visit the dealership. Salesman [redacted] was very helpful and informative. I was offered several choices of quality used vehicles, as well as options for financing. I left feeling comfortable with my choice of a quality vehicle at a good price. This was by far the easiest vehicle purchase I have ever made. Thank you Appleton Auto and [redacted].

I recently went to Appleton auto to look at a few cars that they had. Within minutes [redacted] came out to see if I needed any help of had questions. After [redacted] gave me information on a couple cars we went inside and started all the paperwork.I was able to test drive a couple cars and by the time I got back from my last test drive [redacted] had me approved. I can will always go back to [redacted] for any new cars that I need!!

Appleton Auto was awesome! Mike G[redacted] was very down to earth, extremely helpful and willing to do whatever it took to get me a great car. I'm very pleased with him and his company and would refer anyone to them any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I recently with through a bankruptcy. Have a vehicle I would have never dreamed of. I know Branden worked hard to help me in my current situation. I would recommend Appleton Auto. What a fun environment!

We had an excellent experience at Appleton Auto. We were able to take our vehicle home right away with the down payment and payments very affordable. Our sales person, Mike [redacted], was great to work with and I recommend you go see him today if you need a newer, more reliable car!

I went here needing a new car so bad. Jack had helped me out with it all. They picked a a 2014 Ford Focus for me, at first I was concerned with how much payments would be. But sure enough he got me a low monthly payment and low interest rate I was so happy. I feel safe now finally in a car knowing I wont break down on my way somewhere. Thanks, Jack
Thank you,

My experience here was great!! The process was simple. The sales guy [redacted] was easy to work with and the financing excellent. I never felt pressured. I also left with a vehicle I love. Everything was right in line as to what I was trying to accomplish.

I had a very pleasant experience with Appleton Auto. My salesman [redacted] helped me get approved and I drove away with a reliable car that I love.

Review: I have multpile issues to discuss. My husband and I were looking for a new car. We had contacted Appleton Auto some time ago, but ended up not going there because we decided to wait to buy. I received an email from the last week and decided to reply as we still hadn't found a new vehicle. I clearly laid out in my email to them that we did not have good credit, we had prior repossesions on record and we did not want to come there only to be mislead. I explained I have two small children, one of which is a baby, and we had to drive an hour and half to get there so the only way we were going was if they could in fact help us. I received an email back from [redacted], telling me they could help and to call her. My husband called her and again explained in entirety our situation. She still claimed they could help. They wanted us to come there THAT DAY (9/24/2015). So I sent another email just ensure we were not going to make a pointless trip. I was again told they can help us. We made the drive with our two children. When we got there, [redacted] had told us to ask for someone named [redacted]. We were met by [redacted] Scott who told us he would help us and they only give a name just so you feel like you are looking for someone specific when you go there. I thought it was odd but ok. So we went to his desk and proceeded to get out all of our paperwork. (Please note: my husband had explained to [redacted] over the phone what we were looking for and our price range) [redacted] asked us what we were looking for and what our price range was. We explained to him we need to have payments around $250 a month and no more than $300. His response was "Ha, yeah not going to happen." I was taken aback by his response and immediatly told my husband we need to leave. We proceeded to leave, but my husband was upset that we had driven all this way for nothing so he went back in and spoke with [redacted]. He then told me he was going to try to work with us. So against my better judgement I agreed. We gave him all the paperwork and everything and he said he was going to have them run numbers. Again, we explained to him our financial situation and the repossession etc. We were outside looking around at vehicles when [redacted] came out. He said "I'm sorry, but it looks like there is nothing we can do for you due to the repossession. One of the companies we work with is the company you had the repossession through so there is nothing we can do." So this was his explanation telling us they could not in fact help us. So I proceed to say, "Well if you can't help us, we did make the drive here, and I saw on your website it states if you cannot help, you will pay us $1000." He said yes it does say that and he needed to go check with the manager. So he did and he came back out and explained now that they could possibly get a company to work with us called Santander. I thought this was interesting as he just told me there was nothing they could do. So we waited and waited. We were outside waiting and [redacted] was not coming back out so my husband proceeded to ask another person, one of the sales managers, what was going on. He told my husband that we had in fact been approved by [redacted] and they were working out the details. ([redacted] is the company we had the repossession through) So my husband said "How is that possible? [redacted] told us they couldn't help us because of the repossession!" So the manager proceeded to look confused and told us he had to go inside to check. So after waiting again, and talking to another manager (who I might add stood outside and smoked a cigarette while he was working and talking to us) He told us that he thought they could help. And if not he mentioned the $1000. Finally the other manager came back out and handed us their "offer." We were "approved." This was the biggest joke of all. We explained to them our financial situation. They knew what they were doing. We had a vehicle to trade in, which we owe $3,000 on yet I might add. So they hand us this offer which says it is through [redacted] (which [redacted] told us prior they couldn't help us). The "approval" states they will finance us for over $500 a month, IF we make a down payment of $12,000 AND pay off the existing loan we have with them which is approximately $7,000. So in other words, they wanted us to pay 19,000 down in order to get a $25,000 vehicle with payments of over $500 a month. The moral of my story is, they are a terrible company to work with. We were told that they couldn't help us, so I asked about the $1000. Then of course they came up with tons of excuses and a financing "offer" just so they didn't have to pay us the $1000. I will be the first to admit we do not have good credit. We have had struggles. My husband lost a job. I had a terrible pregnancy last year and was in and out of the hospital. We are not bad people and we were treated terribly, given the run around and lied to. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Their "offer" was not an offer. It was merely a ploy to not have to pay us the $1000. What I want out of this is the $1000 dollars I feel they owe us based on their website claims of "If we cannot finance you, we will pay you $1000." What they gave us was unrealistic. It was a joke. It was simply something so they didn't have to pay us. I want them to be fair. And I want them to pay us. We wasted our time. We wasted our gas. I dragged two small children with us with the assurance that they were going to help us. Please help me!Desired Settlement: I want the $1000 they claim they will pay us if they cannot find a finance solution for you. This information is located on their website.

After further review the customer was given a chance to get financed. As per their argument every customer does have different situations that stops them from purchasing. Our program is designed so that no matter what the customer's situation is we can still show the customer a way to get financed. We work with over 40 different banks and do have a solution for the customers to get into a nicer, newer vehicle. Weather the customer decides to go with the financing options that we provide or not is up to the customer. Again the banks determine the customers credit worthiness. In the end we did show the customer what it would take to get into a nicer and newer vehicle based on what the banks were requesting from the customers. Please consider this complaint closed.

Let me explain in more detail how the approval works. [redacted]) has guaranteed credit approval. They are the lender that approved you. The way their program works is, even if you have a vehicle repossessed by [redacted] in the past, they will extend you a new line of credit in the event you pay off any open repossession balance with them. Therefore, in order for you to be approved, you would first need to pay off the open balance with [redacted], then, depending on the vehicle you choose, you will need a down payment to be approved for the new vehicle purchase. I apologize for the miscommunication between you and the salesperson and so that it doesn’t happen again in the future, I did use this as a training opportunity for him and the rest of my staff.

I worked with Mike, and I was worried I would not get approved, but they worked hard and got me in to a great car. Highly recommend Appleton Auto

Didn't know I could have so much fun car shopping. I traded my pick up in for a Charger and it is awesome!!! My salesman, John, was so helpful. I didn't expect to get a nice car w/ my credit situation, but he explained everything thoroughly and I rode off into the sunset bro...

Thanks [redacted] @ Appleton Auto for the wonderful experience and helping me out. Looking forward in doing business again with you.

I went with and friend to look for a car for her at Appleton Auto. I was preparing to use my credit to co-sign and get her a better deal. We told them that she didn’t want to pay more than $250 per month. The salesperson (Tony) showed her a car that he indicated that they could deal. The car had numerous scratches and was very over-priced base on its blue book value. My complaint is that there advertising practices are very deceptive to the point of being criminal. First, they had an ad saying they would give you $4000 above the appraised value. It seems that deal wasn’t available no more …. How convenient. He gave us an initial value of $7800. When it was time to talk payments, the value magically went down to only $5500. They pulled my credit with over 8 lenders and all of these inquiries has affected my credit score. I did not agree to them pulling all of these inquires and was never disclosed before hand. When they he finally came back with a payment …… it was $360-$370 per month and she had to pay a $3500 down payment. Plus, they refused to use my excellent credit to bring the rate down for her. So what was the point in me even co-signing and screwing up my credit file? But they offered to eliminate the $3500 for me if I bought the car in only my name. Isn’t that illegal? BUYER BEWARE. I also recommend that Revdex.com down their business rating.
