Aspen Dental Reviews (496)

Horrible. This company is not to be trusted. They changed their price 4 times. They will tell you that insurance won't cover things when they do. I ended up having to get the codes from the insurance company myself and they told me I was good to go via phone then when I show up they say it is not covered. Then they ended up not even doing the procedure. They are shady.

certainly do apologize for your experience at the Albany, NY Aspen Dental office. I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com.  I have reviewed it and your Aspen Dental account with the Albany, NY Aspen Dental Office Manager, Kristen.  The Dental First Financing that you applied for and used as payment was six month no interest promotional plan.  You received a copy of your signed sales receipt that clearly explains the terms and conditions of the loan (copy enclosed).  Please contact Dental First with any questions about that loan.  In addition, you also owe Aspen Dental a total of $334.00.  The reason is that your dental insurance company did not remit payment for the denture you received.  You may contact your dental insurance carrier Delta Dental for confirmation.  If you wish to discuss the amount owed to Aspen Dental, please reach out to the Office Manager, Kristen at ###-###-#### (option 2) and she will be happy to assist you. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.  A copy of this letter has been forwarded to the Revdex.com in response to your complaint.  I am available for any further questions at the below contact information. Sincerely,  Ron H[redacted]Senior Patient Satisfaction SpecialistAspen Dental Management, Inc.Phone: ###-###-####, Extension 1329

ID # [redacted] Dear Mr. [redacted]: Thank you for sharing your concerns about the treatment you received.  I am writing to you on behalf of the [redacted], ME Aspen Dental branded practice, owned and operated by AR Dental LLC.  I certainly do apologize for your experience at the [redacted], ME Aspen Dental office. I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com.  I have reviewed it along with your Aspen Dental account.  The $113.60 balance showing due was a result of your dental insurance carrier not remitting payment as estimated for services provided to you on August 25, 2015.  As a courtesy, the [redacted], ME Aspen Dental office has authorized removal of that balance.  Your Aspen Dental account now reflects a zero balance due.  Please note that no information concerning your Aspen Dental account has been reported to any credit bureau or credit reporting agency.  All collection activity will cease within 5-7 business days.  I have enclosed a copy of your Aspen Dental account ledger history for your review. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.  A copy of this letter has been forwarded to the Revdex.com in response to your complaint. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have contacted the office.  I was told that the $50 was the deductible.  If I owed 132.40 at the time of service, then why was I not billed the entire amount?  A sign at the desk stated, that the payment must be made in full before service was rendered.  When I paid, I noticed that it was less than the 132.40.  I made an attempt to question that, and the person at the desk could not tell me why.  This appears to be a major billing failure.  I have paid it, just so that it doesn't end up in court.  I don't know if I can trust Aspen Dental, if this is how they do their billing.

I have received your complaint statement filed with the Revdex.com.  I have reviewed it and your Aspen Dental account.  The reline service that you received on April 08, 2015, is not an adjustment.  It is a complete reline of the denture.  Per your dental insurance company your out of pocket cost is $89.20.  Invoices were mailed to you in April, May and June of 2015, all showing the same amount due of $89.20.  You may contact your dental insurance company to confirm the amount.

As a courtesy, I have removed the $89.20 balance due.  Your Aspen Dental account now reflects a zero balance due.  For your review, a copy of your 2015 account ledger is included with this letter.

Dear Ms. [redacted]: I am writing to you in response to your complaint filed with the Revdex.com concerning your receipt of e-mail appointment confirmations.  I do apologize for any inconvenience that this issue has caused you. In researching this issue we have found that...

Aspen Dental has not been sending the e-mail confirmations to you, but to a patient of ours with a very similar e-mail address.  The only difference between your e-mail address and our patient’s is in the number, or order of periods in that address.  I am providing a Google link that explains this issue.  This is an issue for Gmail as their system allows this to happen.  We have addressed the matter on our end and you should not receive any further e-mails from Aspen Dental.  The Google link is as follows:  [redacted] I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.  A copy of this letter has been forwarded to the Revdex.com in response to your complaint.  I am available for any further questions at the below contact information. Sincerely,  Ron H[redacted]Senior Patient Satisfaction SpecialistAspen Dental Management, Inc.

Aspen Dental office. I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com.  I have reviewed it along with your Aspen Dental account with the Webster, NY Aspen Dental Office Manager, Shannon and the Clinical Director and treating dentist Dr. U[redacted].  You were seen for a denture adjustment on December 07, 2016.  Prior to that, you had not been seen as a patient since October 22, 2014.  The dentist adjusted your dentures and advised you that a re-line might be needed to help with the fit and function.  You subsequently spoke with the Office Manager, Shannon and she also offered to have you come back in.  That offer is still open to you at no charge.   The Aspen Dental Denture Money Back Guarantee does not apply to dentures purchased in 2013; however we want to assist you in helping you get a better fit.  If you wish to have your dentures re-lined at no charge to you, please contact Shannon at the dental office at (585) 787-9930 (option 2). I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.  A copy of this letter has been forwarded to the Revdex.com in response to your complaint.  I am available for any further questions at the below contact information. Sincerely, Ron H[redacted]Senior Patient Satisfaction SpecialistAspen Dental Management, Inc.

I was an emergency appt because I got a tooth ache over the weekend. I understand the 2 1/2 hr wait until the dentist had time for me. What I don't like is how they can hurt someone as bad as they hurt me! I have a split lip and a puffed up lip because of this dentist. The puffed lip comes from him "accidentally" sticking the numbing meds in my lip! I feel like someone punched me in the face over and over again, my cheeks still hurt to the touch!! At one point he had so much pressure on my face I thought he was going to break me in half! I was shaking like crazy and sweating at the same time. I almost choked on a piece of the tooth going down my throat! I know that they were talking about my experience up front because when I left the receptionist and the office manager turned so fast to see me that I thought they hurt themselves! They were nice and friendly about it but after sitting there 2 hours and people coming and going and not one word was said to them I knew I was talked about. Another thing, when the dental assistant hands you papers to sign and makes it sound so casual, don't just sign them, read it! They basically are saying in the paper that everything short of DEATH might happen to you and maybe even that! But they know they have you because if you have a toothache you will sign anything!! I didn't read it until I got home but even knowing that they might cause you serious harm who is going to say No Way! I will NEVER go back again and I am letting everyone else know of my experience.

I went in today and noticed they call themselves a "no surprises" office. Well, I certainly got a few unpleasant surprises from them when the dentist came in and spoke to me like I was 2 years old when explaining what my x rays showed, then asked "does that make sense?", and suggested a procedure that costed way more money than the one I actually would be better off having, and then, they told me they wanted $500 up front (after my insurance paid about 75% of the bill). Um really? I went to a dentist's office, one who has a good reputation from many people I know, after I left Aspen dental, and am only being charged $150 after my insurance pays, FOR THE EXACT SAME STUFF! I may not be a doctor of any type, but I am not stupid, and I will not be overcharged so much for something just because I am hurting. Guess what? Just because I'm hurting, doesn't mean I didn't understand that you tried to take advantage of me for money. The only one worth a hill of beans in the whole office, with the exception of the receptionist, was the lady who did my x rays. Everyone else needs to find a different profession.

Mr. [redacted]'s letter has been forwarded to the management team for review. At this time there has been no change in our response. Thank you,Kelly M[redacted]
