Aspen Dental Reviews (496)

Dear Mrs. [redacted]:

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the treatment you received.  I am writing to you on behalf of the Cheektowaga, NY Aspen Dental branded practice, owned and operated by Dental Services of Western NY PLLC.  I certainly do apologize for your experience at...

the Cheektowaga, NY Aspen Dental office.

I have received your complaint statement filed with the Revdex.com.  I have reviewed it and your Aspen Dental account with the treating dentist Dr. Singh and the Office Manager, Curk.  As we discussed, Dr. Singh does not agree with your statements.  Given the circumstances of what transpired at the Cheektowaga office during your last visit, I asked if you would consider going to a different Aspen Dental office for evaluation of the problem areas.  You declined my offer stating you were now going to a different dental provider.  I also advised that if you provide documentation from your new dentist supporting your claims and detailing any cost estimates to fix the issues, we will review that documentation and respond to you.  Please direct any future correspondence to my attention.

I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.  A copy of this letter has been forwarded to the Revdex.com in response to your complaint.  I am available for any further questions at the below contact information.

Sincerely,

Dear Mr. [redacted]:

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the treatment you received.  I am writing to you on behalf of the Happy Valley, OR Aspen Dental branded practice, owned and operated by Madugula LLC.  I certainly do apologize for your experience at the Happy Valley, OR Aspen Dental office.

I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com.  I have reviewed it along with your Aspen Dental account.  Typically a complete set of x-rays is required of new patients by the Aspen Dental dentist to assist in the comprehensive treatment planning.  The “Free” New Patient Exam and X-ray promotion applies to new patients of Aspen Dental that do not have dental insurance.  There is a disclaimer present on every written example stating “not to be combined with insurance”.  Typically most dental insurances pay for the initial exam and x-rays at 100%.  Your dental insurer did not remit payment for the x-rays.  As a courtesy the $115.00 charge has been removed.  The $50.00 Visa card payment made on January 23, 2017, is being refunded to you.  Please allow 3-5 business days for receipt and posting by your Visa card bank.

I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.  A copy of this letter has been forwarded to the Revdex.com in response to your complaint. I am available for any further questions at the below contact information.

Sincerely,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Dear Ron H[redacted] ,At this time I am not comfortable accepting the offer Aspen Dental has made.  I do understand that they are offering to refund the money for the product I did not receive (as outlined in the offer, but does not add up for me) in the amount of $1366.75 but as of today I still do not have permanent dentures covered by my insurance. I don’t feel that it would be fair to me to have to pay fully out of pocket for these permanent dentures I am having made because Aspen Dental was not able to provide with a quality product.  The new Denturist I am working with is trying very hard to have them made and billed to the insurance before May 25, 2017.  If I am able to receive and bill my insurance prior to the 25th of May than I will accept an offer from Aspen Dental for product not received.  If I have to pay totally out of pocket for my permanent dentures because of Aspen Dental's negligence and breach of contract then I feel this offer is unacceptable. I believe that they should have to pay the addition expenses not covered by my insurance due to the year limit I was unaware I had. If my new permanent dentures are not billed to the insurance company before May 25th, the insurance will not pay for any part of them. I will be out of pocket for the full price of these dentures. I also have not received my financial, appointment and dental records form Aspen Dental. Over 2 weeks ago I sent them a registered letter requesting my records.  I would like to have my records also prior to accepting an offer. This way I can see exactly what they are refunding and what I am still paying for. Thank you [redacted]

Of that amount, $73.20is a balance due from the crown done on October 09, 2014, and $45.00 is from the exam youreceived on August 12, 2015. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not think the business has addressed my concern in their response. I believe I explained very clearly in my original complaint email why I would like to request a FULL refund. What I requested was a full refund, not continuation with their bad service. If you want to know some of the major problems I have experienced at Aspen Dental Latham office, you can go back to my original complaint email. Believe me, that was only a list of the major problems, and I can go on and on with many other smaller issues. I can also give you a recap about what I have been going through: Basically, I paid a lot of money for an implant for my front tooth, which was close to $7000. That amount of money is at the high end of the price range on the market. Usually high price means high quality and better service/treatment. However, this process has been lasting for more than 2 years with many mistakes and I am still wearing exercise retainer, which is definitely not good service. Cheap crown and abutment that irritate my gum and not even aesthetically matching are not good quality, neither. It is so not worth it. I do not think the dentist cares about her patients, she tried to convince me that red swollen gum is normal because I had fake tooth, and she also believed uneven gum line was acceptable (she burned my gum to make the crown fit, and that was how the uneven gum line was created). When I requested a refund at the Latham office, Dr. S brought me to the legal person, who was so rude. She said "we can refund you for the crown, that's it". When I explained to her my frustration about the uneven gum line and asked her to have a heart, she replied "I do not have a heart". I really lost my patience and confidence in Aspen Dental. I have no idea what else can go wrong next time I walk in their office. And what is even worse is that they do not care about these mistakes, and they all act like "we know you are being taken advantage of, but what can you do?". I think that is the only explanation why this process has been lasting for more than 2 years. Please have some sympathy in your patient. Give me my full refund so that I can go to a dentist who can help me with a crown and implant that work both functionally and aesthetically. I have been losing so much weight as I cannot eat well with exercise retainer. Please have a heart and let me move on with my life.  Thanks.
Regards,
[redacted]

Revdex.com:My [redacted] Dental Insurance already received the claim and sent me a notice  (see 2 attachments). Aspen Dental should refund the full amount of $205 to me promptly.
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #[redacted]. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the treatment you received.  I am writing to you on behalf of the Keizer, OR Aspen Dental branded...

practice, owned and operated by Garnache Dental LLC.  I certainly do apologize for your experience at the Keizer, OR Aspen Dental office.

I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com.  I have reviewed it along with your Aspen Dental account.  On April 07, 2016, your Aspen Dental account was adjusted and a second refund in the amount of $147.00 was processed back to your Dental First Finance account.  That amount along with the previous refund of $1,828.00 done on December 09, 2015, equals the total amount paid to Aspen Dental of $1,975.00 on November 06, 2015.  The reason there was a discrepancy is your dental insurance did not cover the exam and x-ray treatment at 100% as estimated.

I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.  A copy of this letter has been forwarded to the Revdex.com in response to your complaint.  I am available for any further questions at the below contact information.
