Review: Atlantic Broadband refused to activate approved services listed on their website at Atlantic Broadband.com The company advertises an approved modem list but after I bought one of the products on their approved modem list their employees refused to activate the CMAC number. The website reads that customers do not have to lease a modem and can purchase their own modem from their approved modem list that will work with their network. The employees acted like they could not understand grammar and English and tried to twist the words around me. I think they are holding an illegal strike because they personally don't approve contrary to their company's policy.Desired Settlement: I want their FCC license revoked for denying public communications to their customers and their employees replaced with honest technicians that don't try and rob and deny the people of rights as citizens of United States.

Review: I RECEIVE ATLANTIC BROADBAND SERVICE THROUGH MY BUILDING, [redacted], IN AVENTURA. I HAVE NOT HAD ATLANTIC DIRECT-BILL SINCE 2006. ALL OF A SUDDEN, I START TO RECEIVE BILLS FROM ATLANTIC BROADBAND LAST MONTH AND CONTACTED THEM IMMEDIATELY TO DISPUTE THIS "ERRATIC" BILL - THEY PROMISED "TO TAKE CARE OF IT". TODAY, I RECEIVED A NEW BILL, INCLUDING A "PAST-DUE" BILL: I WORK FOR AN INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE - I AM HARDLY HOME, AND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE IN THIS APPT!!!! WHY ARE THEY FRAUDULENTLY CHARGING ME FOR A SERVICE I HAVE NOT SIGNED UP FOR - AND WHY ARE THEY NOT ADDRESSING THEIR MISTAKE AND RESTORE MY CREDIT???ANY HELP YOU COULD GIVE ME WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!THANK YOU!!!!Desired Settlement: CESSATION OF ERRONEOUS BILLING AND REMEDY MY CREDIT RATING!!!!

Review: xFirsty. I was just on hold for 20 minutes with the company trying to reach someone, but they never answered so this is my next step. I have 2 main problems. First, I am currently paying for internet service through Atlantic Broadband for a speed of 60 Mbps. Running their test on the website at http://atlanticbb.com/for-home/internet/test-your-speed, I am only getting 19.34 Mbps. Yesterday I was only at 13.60 Mbps. This is unacceptable and not even 1/3 of the speed in which I am paying for. The second issue is the wireless router they have attached to the cable modem. It has good connectivity in the room is in installed in, about 2/3 connectivity in the connecting room, and the rest of the house has basically no service. We have our cell phones connected to the Wifi as it saves our data cost. last month, after switching to ABB, was the first month EVER, of after MANY years with [redacted], that we got informed we almost used all of our data, directly as a result of not being connected to the wifi when we are at home anywhere but the room the Wifi is installed in.Desired Settlement: I want a different installer from the one who installed the service to come to my home and install the internet the correct way, so that we are getting the 60 Mbps that we are paying for. Also I would like a stronger Wifi than the cheap one they have given to us, OR, just hook up the cable modem and I will hook my OWN wireless router to it, so I can have a signal that actually reaches the entire house.

Review: I have not been getting my speed on my modem for over a week, but Atlantic broadband wants me to still pay my bill. I'm to get 120mbs when at times I am lucky to get 11mbs .. here is a transaction to live chat that I did today online with tech support. I had troubles with my modem now it still isn't giving me my speed i'm paying for .can I stop doing this speed test ? Review: I pay for 30Mbps download and 3Mbps upload. For the past several months my service has been very spotty. I have called tech support and have had 7+ visits from technical service personnel to my residence. The problem gets fixed for several days (2 at most) and then it comes back. I have Download speeds anywhere between 1 - 25 Mbps and uploads between 0.01-0.25Mbps making the internet connection useless. I called customer support to complain and they immediately transferred me to the manager at the time. I explained the problem and his suggestion was to change providers. Unfortunately my only other choice in my area is AT&T U-Verse which I already dropped in order to get AtlanticBB. The internet does work properly sometimes but I need it to work properly all the time, at least that is what I am paying for. Nonetheless, this month of July my internet has been non-existent. Also it seems like every time I contact tech support there is a defferent opinion regarding the issues I am experiencing. I have been even told that my modem was cloned and hence had to change it. So I did the change and it fixed the problem for exactly two days. I will not be paying my bill since I have no service at all.Desired Settlement: I don't want to pay this months bill.

technical department engaged to monitor the account for the next few weeks to

be sure that we have corrected the issue.

We have diagnosed the problem as an area issue which we believe has been

corrected.

We are issuing Mr. [redacted] a two month credit on his account

in the amount of 79.98 for the speed issues he has had. Mr. [redacted]’s issues
