I have been working with LawnStarter Lawn Care services. I elected to have a biweekly cut. I get a text asking for a review every time they cut the grass. I usually review with a star rating. I wasn't really paying attention to the frequency as the lawncare service happens when I'm at work. However I worked from home a couple days within a two week period and I realized that the frequency of the lawn service was happening each week. I did not request this change in frequency nor did I make this change on my account website.

Looking at my service history, I see that LawnStarter changed my mowing frequency on May 26 to Weekly without my knowledge. Since May 26 they have come every week - 7 times each time $41.

I immediately contacted customer service and asked for my account to be changed back and asked for a refund because my service frequency was changed without my knowledge. They denied my refund and changed my account back without any explanation in to how my account was changed.

I have since cancelled my account with LawnStarter.

They cut my rose bushes and denied it. Sent me an email with one line "claim denied." Awful company, they take 3 hours to return your call and then the person on the phone can't do anything. They have to email different departments for you. I've used them 5 times and all 5 times I had issues. Do not use this company.

This place is horrible! I called this company on May 25th to set up lawn Care services. They said they would provide services between May 30th and 31th and sende receipt 3 days after services are rendered. I never received any receipt so I called there company and waited 30 minutes for a rep to answer. She told me that my lawn had not been serviced and it was a week after the initial appointment. I had to call them they were never going to call or notify me of anything. These people are pathetic I would advise anyone to stay away from this company!

When I called they told me they couldn’t help me and hung up on me. I checked my online account and it was canceled. Approximately a week later they billed me for the service that I did not receive. Crew never showed, I had to use another service because I was about to be cited by code compliance. I was charged anyway and now they are only giving credit for a service that they basically admitted doesn't exist in my area instead of a refund.

The company rep kept repeatidly lying to me that service would be done before finally cancelling. This ended up costing me an extra $32 dollars to have the yard care service done because of overgrowth.
On April 17th, I signed up for mowing service. The price was to be $19. I was told service would be done between 4/19- 4/22. On 4/22 I received a message stating that the person to do the work had a personal problem and could not complete the work and I was rescheduled for 4/25. On 4/25, I received another message from this same person saying that it would not be done because of weather, but then was told it was because he was at another property and mine would be done 4/26. On 4/26, again no one showed, and I was told it would be the morning of 4/27. On 4/27 I received a message saying the lawn person was "on their way." This person never showed up. Several hours later I received a message saying *** was looking for someone else to complete the work. I had already spoken to customer service twice. The first time she recommended that I just continue to wait because it would be 5/1 before she could find anyone else to do the work. Because I was repeatedly lied to that someone was coming and following the recommendation to wait it out, my yard overgrew and I had to pay someone $51.50 to mow. More than twice that it was supposed to cost. I have all the screen shots and messages to prove this.

I will admit that I was not a very nice person with this *** when I called, but there is not a call center on the planet that doesn't have a *** sitting in and listening to all conversations. The "***" has called me back and claims to have refunded the charges. We'll just have to wait the 10-15 business days to see if that's true. If no refund has been made I will be back on here to complain again! My advice, DO NOT use this company for lawn care services! Seriously! DON'T DO IT!!!!!

This is the worst company I have ever worked with. I have had multiple issues with LawnStarter. The crews they contacted out either did a horrible job or did not ever show up. Stay far away from LawnStarter.

Complaint has been resolve by refund to card.

From out of state, I hired Lawn Starter to do three and only three lawn services as a Christmas present for my brother who resides at ***. He has been ill and in the hospital. This company is horrible. They don't come when they are supposed to. Then when they finally did come to my home, they shattered my sliding glass door and didn't even tell me. When I discovered it, they told me it would take 3 days to assess my claim. They are not even concerned about the safety issue of not only the shattered glass, but my safety. Do not use this company.
