Dear Mr [redacted] : Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your issue regarding end of lease charges through the Revdex.com complaint processWe hope the following information and explanation will answer the issues addressed in your complaint BMW Financial Services encourages our customers to have pre-inspections performed prior to the return of their leased vehicleThis allows our customers the opportunity to repair the vehicle using their insurance, and/or a trusted body shop that may be able to repair the damage at a reduced cost BMW Financial Services tries to make the lease end process a pleasant experience for our customersThat is why we send out a packet approximately days prior to the end of the lease termThis packet directs each customer how to access their personal website specifically designed for their individual BMWThis website explains in detail the end of term process, what is considered excess wear and tear, and the customer’s responsibilities and options, such as obtaining an inspection prior to turn inThis site would have clearly stated the size, grade, quantity and quality of the tires required to be on the vehicleWe regret that you did not receive this packet or were not aware of its contents Pursuant to Section of your Motor Vehicle Lease Agreement (Lease Agreement), you agreed to pay for any costs related to excessive wear and useThis section lists examples of what is considered excessive wear and use, including inoperative electrical parts, scratched or pitted glass, and scratched body parts, paint, trim or grill workAs you can see from the inspection report, the items you are being charged are in stipulated in your Lease AgreementWe have enclosed a copy of your Lease Agreement for your review Excess wear and tear charges are determined by the size of the damagewear and tear is designated as damages that measure smaller than two inchesDamage that is larger than two inches but smaller than four inches is considered small and billed at $per instanceDamage that measures four inches or more is considered large and billed $per instanceAccording to the inspection performed prior to the vehicle’s return, there were scratches on two of the rims, specifically the left front and left rear rims that were four inches or largerThe cost to replace two rims was $We have enclosed a copy of the inspection for your records BMW Financial Services prides itself in offering premium customer serviceWe regret that your lease end experience did not meet your expectations We are committed to providing you with the highest level of serviceIf you have any questions, please contact us at (800) 398-3939, Monday through Thursday, from 9:a.mto 9:p.mET, and Friday, from 9:a.mto 6:p.mETYours sincerely, Jessica G [redacted] End of Term Account Specialist BMW Financial Services NA, LLC enclosures: Lease Agreement inspection

I am rejecting this response because the minor damage to the wheels was well within BMWs "Acceptable" parameters as follows:Acceptable• Four original, matching tires that have at least 4/32" treaddepth and that match the original equipment suppliedon your vehicle (speed rating, type, run-flat, brand, and size);• Minor scuffs that fall within the inner circle, to tires thatdo not affect the safety of the tire;• Minor scuffs or nicks to wheel covers or alloys that fall withinthe 4" outer circle of the Evaluator.Unacceptable• Tires, regardless of mileage, that have less than 4/32" tread depth;• Specifications and sizes different from original equipment brand(approved brands are Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Continental,Dunlop, and Goodyear), type (run-flat), and speed rating;• Recapped or retread tires;• Tire sidewall repair plugs;• Snow tires;• Any tire damage affecting the safe operation of the vehicle;• Mismatched, bent, cracked, or broken wheels, wheel covers, or alloys;• Missing spare tire and/or spare tire that does not matchthe original manufacturer’s specifications;• Bulges or indentations in the sidewall;• Scuffs/scratches to wheel covers/alloys that fall outsideof the 4" outer circle of the Evaluator. If BMW made a choice to replace the wheels, it is their responsibility to cover the costA comparable scenario would be if a lease was returned with a minor chip in its paint that fell within BMWs acceptable lease return parametersUpon prepping the vehicle for resale, the dealership decides to replace the door for esthetic purposes, then charges the leasing party $for the replacementThere are two reasons this is unacceptable:The chip is clearly allowed by the defined lease return parameters, and not the responsibility of the leasing partyThe cost of repairing the paint chip would be significantly less than replacing a door.In the above case $would be an exorbitant fee for an item that feel within the Unacceptable lease return parametersThe cost of repairing minor curb rash is approximately $per wheel, something BMW appears to have overlookedRegardless, it is not our responsibility. Please escalate this issue to someone with the authority to resolve it

MrG [redacted] from BMW was kind enough to share with us a detailed description of my payment history with BMW, and of the incident/accident that took place with my car However, non of that has anything to do with the issue at hand, which is that BMW is reporting my account status to the credit agencies incorrectly He states that BMW sent an electronic update to the credit reporting agencies with an "E" indicator, I am not too sure if that was done in the past or after my complaint, because it is still showing with wrong indication on my report, as per attached I tried contacting MrG [redacted] and left him a voice mail, but I didn't here back He also states that my correspondence does not provide sufficient justification My correspondence that was sent to BMW originally had the proper documentation from the credit agency that BMW had asked me to send It is the same as what is attached to this message It show's that my as of now, my account is being reported as past due, and not that account was discharged That is what needs to be corrected

Hi,Please record my response as follows:"I am still not at all satisfied with BMW Financial Services handling of this matter; they have caused extra work for me the customer by not appropriately using the information I gave them(my Pennsylvanian registration); they should have forward this to the Loudoun County of Revenue instead of making the payment; now they have made a payment that was not owed and I have to chase after the county treasurers office to get it re-credited; since I did not make the payment and it was made on my behalf, this further complicates things, resulting in delay when ever I contact the county officejust a waste of my time because BMW Financial Services is negligent/incompetent; this fact is made ever more clear because I preformed the same exact transfer at the same exact time with Audi Financial Services for my Qand it was flawlessthe questions is why has one company got it right and one company got it so wrong."End of Response.Thank you Revdex.com

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your inquiries regarding the end of lease tire charges through the Revdex.com complaint processWe hope the following information and explanation will answer the issues addressed in your complaint Section of the Motor Vehicle Lease Agreement (Lease) lists examples of what is considered excessive wear and use, including tires with tread depth of less than 1/8” remaining at the shallowest point, and/or tires that are not all the same grade, quantity, or quality as those delivered with the vehicleBecause the tires on the vehicle at the time it was returned had a tread reading below 4/32”, you have been billed for the tires at the end of your leaseRoad surfaces and environmental conditions are a factor with tire performance and tread life, so mileage is not the only contributing factor for the wear of a tireOur records show the vehicle was inspected at BMW of BridgeportBy signing the inspection, the customer and inspector acknowledged and agreed with the completed inspection Our records show we spoke with you on February 24, and agreed to waive $from the previous statement of $We have determined the $is an accurate balance of the remaining end of lease charges on your accountWe have enclosed a current account statement confirming the balance and payment options for your records We understand you may not agree with our decision in not waiving all of your lease end charges; however, we hope this response clarifies our positionIf you have any questions, please contact us at (800) 398-3939, Monday through Friday, from 9:a.mto 9:p.mET, or by mail at either address listed on this letter
