January 2, 2016Dear Kevin [redacted],We are in receipt of your complaint with the Revdex.com (Complaint ID #10995942). We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your customer experience with Avant. Here at Avant we pride ourselves in providing excellent customer...

service to all of our customers and take all feedback seriously. We have reviewed your account and determined that you made a total of four (4) payments towards your loan #932411. The first three (3) payments were installment payments in accordance with your loan agreement. Please be advised that, per your loan agreement, payments will be applied first to outstanding charges, if any, then to accrued interest and then to principal. We have thoroughly investigated your account and confirmed that each of the above-referenced installment payments were allocated as outlined in your loan agreement. If you would like to request a breakdown of payments, please contact us directly at your earliest convenience at [email protected], and we will be happy to send over the information.Additionally, the final payment made towards your loan on December 11, 2015 in the amount of $12,458.84 satisfied your outstanding balance in full. Accordingly, the loan is paid off and no refund is required. We trust this explanation resolves this matter. Here at Avant we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer focused experience. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Compliance Department directly at [email protected]. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.Sincerely,Avant Compliance Department

Dear [redacted]
We are sorry that you are dissatisfied with your customer experience at Avant. Here at Avant we pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service to all of our customer and take all feedback...

seriously.
Avant reports to the three major credit reporting agencies (TransUnion, [redacted], and Equifax) on a monthly basis. Monthly reporting is a standard practice among consumer credit providers. After the close of each reporting period, customer activity reports must be compiled and reviewed for accuracy and completeness. As Avant's representatives informed you, a consequence of this process is that a given account or payment may not appear on your credit report until at least 30 days after it was opened or made.
Your loan agreement states that Avant "may report information concerning your performance under this Note to credit reporting agencies. Late payments, missed payments or other defaults on this Note may be reflected in your credit report."
Avant has reviewed all relevant communications between you and our representatives, including the calls you made to Avant's customer center on June 9 and June 10, 2015, respectively. We have been unable to confirm any of your claims regarding any poor treatment or disrespect shown to you in the course these communications.
We trust this explanation resolves this matter to your satisfaction. Here at Avant we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer focused experience. If you have any further questions or concerns, or if you would like a written explanation as to why we were unable to approve you please do not hesitate to contact our Compliance Department at [email protected]. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
Sincerely,
Avant Compliance Department

Final Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2015/07/14) */
Dear [redacted]
Thank you for your comments. We regret that you did not find our previous response satisfactory.
As you know, because your first payment was made in May 2015, the May credit reporting file is the first to report your account with Avant. We recently completed our review of this file as part of our normal reporting cycle, and have forwarded it to the major credit bureaus. As each credit bureau follows its own schedule in updating their reporting, please be advised that this most recent information may not appear on your credit report immediately.
You were previously informed via direct email on June 15, 2015 that our May file was being reviewed, which you have quoted in your response. In no way does the quoted communication disagree or conflict with our previous response which you have rebutted.
Avant has informed you of our monthly reporting practice in previous communications, and noted that this practice meets and exceeds all reporting standards as outlined in your signed loan agreement. As you have been informed, once a period of activity has been completed, our reporting files are released to the credit bureaus in the following month.

Dear [redacted],
We were recently notified of your complaint regarding your revolving credit line...

with AvantCredit. The monthly minimum payment for this particular product is fully disclosed on the Company website, during the application process, and is detailed within your account agreement. Per your instruction, your credit line was reduced to $1,500. We sincerely apologize that the reduction was not reflected in your next billing statement. As agreed, we will credit the account the difference and fully expect this to be reflected as such on your next billing statement. If you have any further questions, please contact our Compliance Department directly.
Sincerely,
AvantCredit
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/05/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My next payment will be debited from my bank account on 5/19/14. I am expecting it to be aproximately $60 less than it was on the previous two months. I also expect that my principal will be reduced by the $120 credit that is due back to my account. The next billing cycle will not be until 5/31/14 so I will not know for sure that everything that we discussed has been taken care of. If at that time you have done as promised, I would be very happy to close this complaint and the resolution that we have been able to come to. Unfortunately, I am not willing to close it until that time, as I have been told at least twice previously that this would be taken care of, only to be charged incorrectly again. As the old adage goes, "the proof is in the pudding!" I do appreciate the communication and help that [redacted] has provided thus far.

I am seriously thinking of going to [redacted]'s Attorney General with this company. They have clearly illegal lending practices.... I was assured that this problem would be resolved on this statement and was pressured at my work to close this complaint. Something needs to be done here!

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I DO NOT owe $222.27 plus $243.71 ( for a total $465.98) on March 22, 2016. All I OWE is ONE FINAL PAYMENT OF $243.71 due on March 22 , 2016, which will be a total of 18 payments as scheduled, per my contract. You are trying to get 19 Payments from me, and your NOT EXPLAINING WHY OR WHERE THIS EXTRA $200 plus is coming from... WHEN ANYONE REQUESTS A PAY OFF AMOUNT, THE FULL AMOUNT IS ALWAYS SUPPOSED TO BE GIVEN, and that's the amount I have in WRITING, that will be presented in court in front of the Judge WHO WILL AGREE!
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I visited the Avant website to apply for a loan, after submitting the online application the response immediately came back as "Approved for up to $10,000 +". I checked rates for other companies, but since had done business with Avant in the past, I decided to go with a loan for $3500 from Avant. I logged into my bank account via the Avant website, verified my identity, etc. I waited but did not receive a response from anyone at Avant. I called and spoke with a representative regarding the loan, she said she would have to schedule a 3-way call with me and my bank to verify direct deposit. I waited for the call, but after thinking about it, I called Avant bank and explained that I didn't feel comfortable with someone else on the line while I was answering my bank verification question. I later received an email that Avant could not extend the loan. I called to request a letter as to why I was declined. I feel Avant should not have pre-approved me if I wasn't going to et the loan.

Dear [redacted]We are in receipt of your complaint with the Revdex.com (Complaint ID # [redacted]). We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your customer experience. At Avant, we pride ourselves in providing excellent service to all of our customers and take all...

feedback seriously. On April 25, 2015, you submitted an inquiry for credit with Avant. That same day, you were approved for a loan in the amount of $1,300.00 and executed a loan agreement outlining the terms. It should be noted, the terms of your loan agreement were clearly and fully disclosed on the company website, during the application process, and in your signed loan agreement. On May 26, 2015, you made an additional payment in the amount of $62.11 via paper check. On August 30, 2016, you contacted Avant telephonically and requested that Avant apply your additional payment from May 26, 2015 to your upcoming installment payment due on September 12, 2016. That same day, your account was escalated to the appropriate department to make the changes as requested. Due to an isolated process deficiency, Avant was unable to honor your request prior to your installment payment due date. As a result, on September 12, 2016, your installment payment in the amount of $62.11 was debited from your bank account. On September 26, 2016, Avant issued you a refund in the amount of $62.11 for your September installment payment, and the additional payment you made in May of 2015 was used to cover this installment payment. Additionally, Avant has found that we are unable to waive the remaining balance on your account. Please be advised, the terms of your loan agreement are considered in accordance with established credit policy. Once issued, the terms are fixed until your loan is repaid in full. If you are experiencing difficulty making payments, we advised you to contact Avant Customer Support at [redacted] to discuss our various payment options. We trust this explanation resolves this matter. At Avant, we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer-focused experience. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Compliance Department directly at [email protected]. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.Sincerely,Avant Compliance Department

So far my experience is positive as I have nothing to complain about. I am 2 months into my loan. [redacted] and [redacted] would not even give me a chance, and denied my application without even attempting to work with me. However, Avant looked over my application, verified all information, called me back for some information which I promptly sent to them and I was approvroved for the exact amount requested within less than 8 hours and the money was in my account the next morning. My account is still brand new so absolutely nothing bad to say so far.

I applied on May 2,2015 for a loan and submitted what was requested of me on May 8, 2015. I spoke with a customer service representative who put me on hold while they reviewed my income verifications with a manager. She came back to state that I was approved for $12,500 instead of what I had originally requested and that I would just need to sign by into my account and sign the loan agreement for the new approved amount. I went back in on May 9, 2015 and signed. I received an email on May 9, 2015 stating that I had been approved and that the loan would be deposited into my bank account the next business day. I later went into my account to review when my first payment was due which showed June 12, 2015. On Mother's Day May 9, 2015 I received an email that states my application had expired and that I could later reapply. Confused my wife called Avant customer service where she was told that they had never seen this happen in there time employed with the company. Very disappointed.

Avant lied to me. They promised not to check my credit history when they were processing approval of the loan that I really needed. But they did anyway. I will sue them.

Dear David [redacted],  We are in receipt of your complaint with the Revdex.com (Complaint
ID # 10942391). We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your
experience with Avant. Here at Avant, we pride ourselves in providing excellent
service to all of our customers...

and take all feedback seriously. Please be advised that your account
has been thoroughly reviewed, and it was determined that you were approved for
a loan on November 4, 2015 with funds set to be issued on or around November 5,
2015. You subsequently contacted Avant on the morning of November 5, 2015,
indicating that you wished to rescind the loan agreement and return the funds.
Avant immediately accommodated this request by assisting you in setting up a
payment for the full loan amount, to be debited on November 6, 2015. You subsequently contacted Avant
again that same day, indicating that you had now decided to keep the loan, and
requesting that this debit be cancelled. Per this request, Avant attempted to
cancel the debit that would return the funds and allow you to keep the loan.Due to an isolated system issue, the
aforementioned debit scheduled to return the funds back to Avant on November 6,
2015 was not cancelled and the payment was debited as initially scheduled. We
apologize for any inconvenience. As you know, Avant contacted you
telephonically on November 16, 2015 regarding your Revdex.com complaint
and informed you of this issue. As a courtesy, Avant has offered to
reimburse any fees you have incurred through your bank as a result of this
issue. As discussed on November 16, 2015, Avant received confirmation that the
payment was unsuccessful on November 13, 2015, and advised you that your
account is now in a “current” status. We trust this explanation resolves
this matter. Here at Avant we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and
customer focused experience. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please
contact our Compliance Department directly at [email protected]. We
appreciate the opportunity to serve you.      Sincerely, Avant Compliance Department

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The business does not comply with federal and state laws because as the company has stated, after being pre-approved for the loan that prompted me to proceed with the application and sign an agreement for the amount I was pre-approved for, seven days had not passed for inactivity of the application, I had been in a consistent contact with Avant as I was inconsistently driven through a process, which I was repeatedly told by Avant representatives an application is open for at least 30 days. 30 March 2016, was my last  communication with Avant before an alleged email was sent to stating the application allegedly expired. 13 April 2016, I received a phone call from an alleged Avant representative attempting to complete my loan application because he stated the loan process was carried out incorrectly by Avant.
Avant uses deceptive marketing and advertising tactics and practices, which directly violate the federal and state laws that have been reported to the FDIC and Consumer Protection Bureau.
Sincerely,

I applied for a loan and told I was approved. I submitted bank documents and personal information and without reason am told I am now not approved.

excellent service to all of our customers and take all feedback seriously. As you are aware, Avant contacted you telephonically on April 14, 2016 in an effort to address your complaint. You were advised Avant reports to the credit bureaus on a monthly basis. The files which we send to the credit bureaus contain credit reporting information for the previous months. As of the date of your complaint, credit reporting files for both January and February 2016 had already been released to the credit reporting agencies. Additionally, you were informed the file for the month of March was scheduled to be sent to the credit bureaus within a week of the date of the call. You expressed that you were satisfied with this explanation.Accordingly, Avant considers this matter resolved. I had a good final outcome with Avant Credit. I just didn't allow enough time for my bank to register the money I loaned. I want to thank Avant for calling me to explain why the loan had been delayed . I requested it Jan 1, received it in my bank on Jan 5. Thanks again for your help.

I was misled by Avant on the ability to repay a loan. While attempt to pay down my loan balance, Evelyn P with the Section Management would not accept the payment amount as I had been told that I could pay.

I was originally told that I could call into the Customer Service and pay down the load amount, but when I called in, I was told that they would only accept an additional $10 towards the balance. The reasoning behind denying my request was shady and Evelyn P. was not willing to provide me any written documentation show the terms of our agreement and why the terms were being changed.

Totally unacceptable! I would like Avant to accept my payment in full and to close this account to resolve this situation.

After researching Debt Consolidation Loans I decided I would apply with Avant. Everything posted about this company in numerous articles states how easy they are to work with and how they are great about helping people. Apparently that only applies if you have perfect credit. Unfortunately life happens to some of us, after being out of work for an extended period of time I had no choice but to rely on credit cards. Now I'm working again and between my husband who has wonderful credit and a great salary as well as my salary I hoped to be able to consolidate into one payment a month with a loan but Avant apparently doesn't think I am good enough to help. I will be sure to post EVERYWHERE I can find NOT to bother with this company.

Great experience! I applied, received a call to review my application by a very knowledgeable representative, got approved and received the funds the next day . This was a smooth and efficient process and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a loan.
