Dear [redacted] We are in receipt of your complaint with the Revdex.com (Complaint ID # [redacted]. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your customer experience with Avant. Here at Avant, we pride ourselves in providing...

excellent service to all of our customers and take all feedback seriously. As you are aware, on October 12, 2014, you contacted Avant and requested that your installment payment due November 22, 2014 be moved to the end of your payment schedule using a one-time courtesy deferral. In addition to this initial courtesy payment deferral, you have utilized grace period movements for four (4) other scheduled installment payments. Please be advised, per your loan agreement, daily interest will accrue on the principal balance of your loan. By utilizing courtesy deferral and grace period date adjustments, you have accrued additional interest on your loan balance. On December 10, 2015, you contacted Avant telephonically and requested a payoff quote for March 22, 2016. Avant provided you a payoff quote for that date in the amount of $243.71. Avant informed you in this call that the payoff quote was subject to change and the amount provided assumed all scheduled payments prior to and on the date of quoted payoff payment would be made.  Accordingly, the payoff quote you were provided assumed that all scheduled installments from December 10, 2015, up to and including the installment scheduled for March 22, 2016, would be made in addition to the payoff amount quoted for March 22, 2016. A confirmation of this information was also sent via email. On February 11, 2016, you contacted Avant and requested a payoff quote for February 12, 2016, and received a quote in the amount of $668.09 for this date. Please note the requested date fell before any upcoming scheduled installments. Consequently, the amount quoted reflected your entire loan balance as of that date. Per your payoff quote email, Avant will honor the payoff amount quoted on December 10, 2015, for March 22, 2016, provided that both the quoted payoff payment and the installment payment due that same day are made. If all amounts are paid per the terms detailed in your payoff quote email, your loan will marked as paid in full. We trust this explanation resolves this matter. Here at Avant, we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer-focused experience. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Compliance Department directly at [email protected]. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you. Sincerely,Avant Compliance Department

Poor, pathetic excuse!!!
Sad!!!! Unbelieveable!!!!! I live in Colorado which at the time of applying online, I didn't realize that it mattered which state a person lived in. I applied for and received into my checking account $4100. I repaid in loan, in full, with 3 months,...3 MONTHS!!! Having never missed or been late, with any payments. I used the loan mainly for my business startup. Well, I checked my Avant account to confirm the loan payoff, and the message along with the confirmation stated the after about a month, I would be able to apply for another loan. BS on Avant. I've tried several times since September, even emailing their customer service, each time I was told that Avant does not do loans for applicants in Colorado, even though they had!!!! My theory is that they prefer to have people with long term loans still open so they can make money from the interest, regular lending practice, right. My advice go with your bank, if possible or a financial institution that does short term loans, just avoid Avant!!!

feedback seriously. Please be advised, Avant does not limit customers to only making monthly installment payments. All customers have the flexibility to make early or additional payments at any time, without incurring prepayment penalties. We encourage our customers to make additional payments whenever possible, as these payments may help decrease the principal balance of the loan, in turn decreasing the amount of interest which accrues over the life of the loan.Further, we have investigated each call you made, on July 17, 2015, September 4, 2016, January 15, 2016, and March 23, 2016, where you indicated you were having trouble scheduling payments via the Customer Dashboard. Avant did not identify any system issues. Additionally, during the call on January 15, 2016, the customer service representative walked you through the process to schedule payments via your Customer Dashboard and did not identify any issues. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please note that, in addition to the Customer Dashboard at www.Avant.com, early or additional payments may also be made by contacting Avant Customer Support at [redacted] via e-mail, or via online chat at www.Avant.com in the event that you experience issues with the Customer Dashboard. We trust this explanation resolves this matter. Here at Avant, we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer-focused experience. Dear [redacted],
We are in receipt of your complaint with the Revdex.com (Case # XXXXXXXX). We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your customer experience with Avant. Here at Avant we pride ourselves in...

providing excellent customer service to all of our customers and take all feedback seriously.
As you know, the Avant Compliance Department contacted you, telephonically, to resolve this matter on July 21, 2015. At that same time, you were assisted in scheduling your payoff payment and an e-mail confirming your scheduled payment was sent to your e-mail address on file. Additionally on July 21, 2015, a payment breakdown showing the allocation of your payments was e-mailed to your e-mail address on file.
Upon resolving the issue, you indicated that you had no further concerns. Your loan is in a paid off status at this time, and a paid off letter has been mailed to your residence address on file, per your request.
Here at Avant we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer focused experience. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Compliance Department directly at [redacted]@Avant.com. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  Avant states they were not able to verify my monthly income which is false.  I was required to give them my bank's Login and Password so they could see my bank statements and verify my Social Security Deposit amount.  Avant either does not bother to check or someone who was supposed to check dropped the ball.  In either case, I want my debt consolidation loan funded.
I will be happy to give them access to my account again, if that is truly the reason the loan is not being funded.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

feedback seriously. As you are aware, on November 1, 2016 you entered into a payment plan for your WebBank installment loan serviced by Avant. Per the terms of your payment plan, your plan will terminate if a scheduled payment is not received within ten days of its payment date. Your first payment plan payment was scheduled on November 18, 2016. Accordingly, this payment needed to post with an effective date of November 28, 2016 or earlier in order for your plan to remain active. Please be advised that we recently experienced an issue with our paper check processing service regarding payments processed on or around November 23, 2016 which affected the paper check payment you submitted. This issue caused a delay in applying the payments deposited that day to customer accounts. Due to your account not reflecting a payment plan payment within 10 days of its scheduled due date, an automated notice that your payment plan had terminated was sent via email on November 29, 2016. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. As you were informed in a call on December 5, 2016, payments are posted to your account effective the date they are received. On December 8, 2016, your paper check payment was posted to your account with an effective date of November 23, 2016. Accordingly, your payment plan has been reinstated. We trust this explanation resolves this matter. At Avant, we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer-focused experience. Despite repeatedly writing and calling to opt out, this company continues to send me unsolicited pre-approved loan and credit offers. I do not want them. I think 5 times is enough to opt out for them to get the message.

A very good company. I thank God I found them.

I applied for a loan on 11/10/2015. went through the short simply pre-app and was approved for the $1000.00. I pick the APR I would like, read and printed the contract, filled out all of the employment info and electronically signed it. on the next screen it stated they could not provide me with a loan at this time. They gave no legit reason as to why even with a web chat with the rep and I call to speak with someone, no-one was able to explain why after being approved, why was I not granted the loan. not to forget it did show my credit score which was 651, my income was $1800.00 after deductions monthly. so it seems it denied for no reason and it was a complete waste of my 5 mins.

Dear [redacted]
We are in receipt of your complaint with the Revdex.com (Case #XXXXXXXX). We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your customer experience with Avant. Here at Avant we pride ourselves in...

providing excellent customer service to all of our customers and take all feedback seriously.
As you know, on July 21, 2015, you contacted Avant via email in an effort to change your payment schedule. Avant responded to that email with information regarding the terms of your proposed schedule change and notifying you a response was required acknowledging your consent to the included terms. As that consent was never given, we were unable to update your schedule as requested. Please be advised that for security reasons, all email communications regarding your account must be done via the email address associated with the account.
As a courtesy, we have applied credits to your account relating to any Non-Sufficient Funds charges and late fees related to the August 22, 2015 payment.
As a result of your failure to make your complete August payment, your account has fallen into a "Late" status. Your account must be in a "Current" status in order to effect a payment schedule change. We have attempted to contact you regarding this matter, but have been unable to reach you.
Here at Avant we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer focused experience. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Compliance Department directly at [redacted]@Avant.com. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2015/09/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I spoke with the company and they said they would fix it and never did. I gave another consent in August and they disregarded that too.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2015/10/02) */

They lied about their response but what can I do at this point probably nothing
Final Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2015/10/02) */
Dear [redacted]
We are in receipt of the rebuttal pertaining to your complaint with the Revdex.com (Case #XXXXXXXX). In an effort to help restore your account to a "Current" status, Avant attempted to contact you telephonically on multiple occasions prior to responding to the Revdex.com.
As explained in our initial response, your account must be in a "Current" status in order to make a payment schedule change. You provided consent for a payment schedule change on August 25, 2015, but, as a result of your failure to make your complete August installment payment when due on August 22, 2015, you were determined ineligible to request a schedule change at that time.
Please be advised that following your payment on September 22, 2015 your account has been returned to a "Current" status. As such, you are now eligible to request a payment schedule change. To update your payment schedule, please contact Customer Support with your request at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX or by email to [redacted]@Avant.com from the email address associated with your account.
Here at Avant we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer-focused experience. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Compliance Department directly at [redacted]@Avant.com. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
Sincerely,
Avant Compliance Department

Be aware that if you begin an application but do not click on submit, Avant still treats it like a submitted application, including running a "soft" credit check on you. Additionally, it will begin phone calls from them to get you to complete the application. After not submitting, I received an email stating my loan was denied. I spoke with them on the phone, let them know that I thought they had no right to continue with my UNSUBMITTED application. They are assuring me that they will remove my information from their system...which I hope is true. This just seems rather "heavy-handed" to me that they would treat an unsubmitted application as a submitted one.

I received a loan from avant inc. in january 2015 for $8500.00 at the time I did'nt need all of the $8500.00 so I paid back $5000 of it. They applied the money as individual payments and told me I did'nt have to make another payment until september 2016 , I made the first payment in september 2016 and now i'm ready to pay the rest off and they added $1400 of interest to my loan so instead of me owing $3500, I now owe $4400 to pay off this loan. That is OBSURD!!! I will never do business with the company again. They are rip offs!!

I would not recommend this company to anyone after the week I have had dealing with them. They promise you the money the next day if approved. Out right lie! I filled out forms for a loan on Monday morning. I had trouble with getting the program to accept some of my information. I made a phone call to them for help. I was told that they didn't really need that information at this time, that I would receive an e-mail in 24 hours. Twenty-four hours came and went and no word from them. I gave them the benefit of doubt and waited to call them the next day. So the person asked all the questions I had filled out on my application already and put me on hold. Finally they came back on the line and asked a dozen more questions, put me on hold again, then they came back on the line and said I would hear something in 24 hrs. I didn't get a phone call or an e-mail, so I called again and asked what was going on. Again I was asked all of the questions about my information that they should have already had, put on hold, They came back on the line and said we just need to get your banking information and in 24 hours you will get an e-mail from us and your money will be deposited in 24 hrs. They called my bank and I was on the line to verify that I had an account there as well as a person from my bank and the person with Avant. After that another 24 hrs went by and I had no word. Then I received an e-mail telling me I was one step away from getting the funds as soon as the next day. I just needed to sign the agreement, Which I had already done earlier in the week. I called and the person said I would get an E-MAIL IN 24 HRS and if approved I would receive the funds the next day. By now it is the end of the week with the weekend coming up and no money and they led me to believe I was already approved. When I asked about that they said I was pre-approved that someone else had to give the final approval. I never ever heard anyone of them say anything about PRE-APProved until I asked. If I hadn't needed the money I would not have applied and to mess around with them for a whole week is RIDICULOUS. I wasted the whole week on them and maybe I could have gotten somewhere with another company. I am very disappointed and upset. They just LIE.

I had been receiving Avant Credit to check my rates confirming it want effect to my FICO credit score. After few mails, I have decided to check my rate by applying online which I did. Then I was given a rate with a pre approved limit. Since the line of credit offered to me was not what in my mind, I disregarded. After a week or so, I have received an email saying they have reviewed my credit application and regretfully denied. I was surprised. They have considered credit without my consent. Then I have chat online and emailed their customer services asking explanation to no avail. Since then , two consecutive weeks they have sent me pre screened offers. Then I have responded to the second offer, which they eventually denied due to the fact that I have previously applied credit a month ago. I have never applied credit month ago but only check my rate. ( I have never failed a payment in all my credit history and always ontop of payments. The only reason I have much higher credit use due

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I have the original copies of the two filed Police Reports which do indeed show Avant as one of the Creditors I was disputing because I also have the ongoing documentation that was not provided to you by the [redacted] Credit Bureau concerning this urgent matter.  "I do, have the Snipping Photo Copies I made directly from my Credit Report with [redacted] Credit Bureau!"  I also provided, two or three of my Bank Statements that show I finally did settle the account under a, "Agreed Settlement Contract because Avant continued to report late payments when I was making them, "Even to the event that after the fact in which [redacted] Credit Bureau allowed them to do this which should be considered illegal as I informed [redacted] on numerous occasions that Avant was still charging me on this account up till the last weeks of April, 2016 and we had settled this account on December 8th, 2015!  So, I ask why is it alright that [redacted] Credit Bureau get to exclude this type of behavior by Avant Inc, yet when I try to state my facts they are not accepted! This should not be allowed as it did effect my credit report as I will be faxing you over the documents for you all to see as I can see that [redacted] Credit Bureau did not provide this most important information to you all and they should have.  In fact, aside from the fact that [redacted] allowed Avant to go on making repeated changes up to four months after we settled this account if you study the police as well you will see that Avant is listed on the very top of those accounts I filed as being fraudulent as that is what was going on!  "At one point, [redacted]'s  Dispute/Fraudulent Supervisor informed me that as long as they had fixed all the problems they saw nothing wrong with what had occurred!   So, again, is this some type of double standard business code of ethics because if is, "I find it to be very illegal per the, Consumer Law in the Truth and Lending Acts!  Why, did they allow Avant to get away with this and I am being punished for what I did correctly!  "I seriously would like to know why [redacted] Credit Bureau did not provide you with the very factual documents that I supplied to them to show them the illegal business practices of Avant Credit!  I am not only disputing the so called, "Late Payments" that I could only supply a few of my bank statements but I am disputing the very fact that, "My Rights were violated by Avant and [redacted] Credit Bureau as I mentioned, up to four months after the account was suppose to be, "Settled and Closed!"  I find this business behavior to be unethical, unprofessional and illegal;" YET, I am not to say a word about it?"  I will provide via fax all the, Snipping Photos I made while [redacted] allowed this to go on!"  "Is these ongoing activity, not a violation of my consumer rights under the Law?  "I also, received from Avant Credit, in August 2016, a Tax Document that clearly states that the account was, "Closed!"  And in this Tax Document from Avant, it states I should file it as 1099?  "This too does not even make sense but I am sending it to you all to see that I am telling you the truth!  My main question and concern is why, "Is both Avant and [redacted] Credit Bureau allowed to conduct such time business?  And make claim that my records I provided to them do not show Avant in the Police Reports or nor do they have the documents I am going to be sending you to prove what went on for up to four months after this account was, "Settled and Closed!" Plus, I will also send you a copy of our Settlement Contract so you can read the writing of its contents which does in deed state, this Account with Avant is, "Forever Closed and deemed Void!"  Please watch for these documents to be sent to you by me via FAX.  You should receive tomorrow, December 9th, 2016.  I give all content to have this investigated as you will now have the documents you need! (This illegal behavior has indeed cost me a lot of money and it should not be disregarded as nothing at all because it is ethically and morally wrong in my opinion!  Sincerely, [redacted]
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Dear [redacted]
We were recently notified of your complaint regarding your loan with AvantCredit in which...

you dispute the accuracy or completeness of information in your credit report. After thoroughly reviewing our records, as well as any information provided by you and the consumer reporting agency, AvantCredit is unable to make a modification to your credit report. According to our records, the information AvantCredit submitted to the consumer reporting agency correctly describes your loan activity.
The complaint states that AvantCredit reported your loan as 30 days late as of June 2013. There is no evidence that you were reported as late in June 2013 in our records nor in the information provided by you and the consumer reporting agency. If you do not believe this is an accurate representation of your reporting history, please contact us at your earliest convenience and provide any documentation you believe supports your position.
Per your installment agreement with AvantCredit, your regularly scheduled installment was due on 5/21/2014. We failed to receive this payment. As noted in your complaint, on 5/28/2014 we agreed to split the missed payment into two separate payments. You agreed to make the first payment on 6/03/2014 via credit card and the second payment was scheduled to debit out of the account on file on 6/13/2014. Unfortunately, we never received the 6/03/2014 payment as agreed. Therefore, as of 7/01/2014 your agreed upon installment payment on 5/21/2014 was more than 30 days late.
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, AvantCredit is unable to remove or modify any information submitted to a consumer reporting agency if the information is found to be complete and accurate.
While we are unable to modify your credit report at this time, we value you as a customer and appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
AvantCredit

Complaint: 10954428
I am rejecting this response because:
As stated:  I was contacted on the phone, and provided the information, a delay of 10 days was introduced.  All of the sudden my application was declined for delay, but I was told all the information was provided, when they asked me for employment information, I sent the proof of payment and get receipts that they had them.

the website did not allowed me to attach a document and follow the process to send emails.

There were too many fundamental mistakes, and flaws, in the process, because it is not true that I did not furnish informaion on time.  In addition which is worth another complain, their waiting times on the line are ridiculously long.  The chat feature never works because, nobody is available to do chat.  Support is impossible, for a working person.
Sincerely,
Newton [redacted]

Canceled payment modification agreement and then reported me as not having made payments for 120+ days even though I had made the payments. Spoke today to Daniel [redacted] who is their director of compliance. He is super rude, disrespectful, and condescending. With leadership like him no wonder Avant's customer service team sucks.
Will be pursuing legal action against Avant.
