I took out a short term loan after starting a new job because I was short on cash and needed to pay rentAvant Credit was fast and easy and I am very satisfied with their serviceIf I had had a choice, I would have not taken out the loan because of the interest rates, but they are the same with any payday loan companyOverall, I would use them again! But hopefully, that won't happen!

I needed money for vehicle repairs, etcThe good news is that the loan approval process was quick and easyThe money was deposited into my checking account the next dayTheir interest rates are very highMy interest rate was 32%I knew this before I accepted the money so I can't fault them for thatI originally borrowed $10,My balance was still $9,after making seven monthly on time payments totaling $2,Like a mortgage loan from a bank, most of the payments in the beginning are applied to the interest with little to none of the payment applied to the principleThere were several months where my payments were only applied to the interestThey also cashed a check for a payment, but never applied it to the loanI had to send them proof from my bank showing that they cashed my checkThey fixed their mistake, but it was a headache to say the leastI will never borrow money from Avant againI would only recommend them as a last resortBe careful though because it will cost you a lot more in the long run like it did meThankfully, I was able to borrow the money from a family member to pay the loan off early

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The business does not comply with federal and state laws because as the company has stated, after being pre-approved for the loan that prompted me to proceed with the application and sign an agreement for the amount I was pre-approved for, seven days had not passed for inactivity of the application, I had been in a consistent contact with Avant as I was inconsistently driven through a process, which I was repeatedly told by Avant representatives an application is open for at least daysMarch 2016, was my last communication with Avant before an alleged email was sent to stating the application allegedly expiredApril 2016, I received a phone call from an alleged Avant representative attempting to complete my loan application because he stated the loan process was carried out incorrectly by Avant Avant uses deceptive marketing and advertising tactics and practices, which directly violate the federal and state laws that have been reported to the FDIC and Consumer Protection Bureau Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I visited the Avant website to apply for a loan, after submitting the online application the response immediately came back as "Approved for up to $10,+" I checked rates for other companies, but since had done business with Avant in the past, I decided to go with a loan for $from Avant I logged into my bank account via the Avant website, verified my identity, etc I waited but did not receive a response from anyone at Avant I called and spoke with a representative regarding the loan, she said she would have to schedule a 3-way call with me and my bank to verify direct deposit I waited for the call, but after thinking about it, I called Avant bank and explained that I didn't feel comfortable with someone else on the line while I was answering my bank verification question I later received an email that Avant could not extend the loanI called to request a letter as to why I was declinedI feel Avant should not have pre-approved me if I wasn't going to et the loan

I applied for a personal loan online through Avant's websiteRight away I was told that I was approved, all I had to do was electronically sign the contractI signed the contract and was then asked to enter my bank account information to receive the money by electric transferI entered both my routing number and account number and hit submitThe next screen popped up and told me that I wasn't approvedI was very confused because I was told I was already approved and was prompted to enter my bank account infoWhen I called their customer service, I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was put on hold multiple times and after minutes I was given a message "from a supervisor" that I was only pre-approved, not "approved, approved" I was very upset that I had given out my bank account info after being told I was approved only to be denied

Avant Incstarted off great until I decided to pay them off I had very negative experience from then onInitially I had automatic withdrawals (ACH) from the company, so they would take out the amount requiredI wanted to pay more so that I can pay them off earlyI like to pay all my bills online so I go onto their website and the site would only let me pay additional funds but not the monthly amount dueI would still have to pay the amount due after that To pay that I would have to wait until the day it was dueTo me this was unfair because if I want to pay my account early I should be able to without waiting until the 18th of the monthI am accruing interest and they are making moneyI spoke with a customer service agent and he advised me to take the ACH off and pay on my own We also discussed how bad their online payment system is and he agreedI then speak with another agent on Why do I owe money for the next month when I just made two large payments After being frustrated with these issues I decided to pay the loan off Well, why did they tell me that I still owe for the month on my accountIf I go to your online payment system and click on the payoff button that would include the total I need to pay the entire loan off I also should not have to pay anything that month because I had paid more than the required amount due, due to the large amount of money I put down within a couple of weeks When I called the company they told me that I should of called in to pay it offIf this is the case, take this payment option off of your site and put on their please call in for a payoffTheir system is not advantageous to the customerIt seems to be set up for Avant to make money by accruing interest off of the customer because of their system I paid the loan off but I am not happy with their businessI think they are ripping people offI really think they will be going to court on this soon and they will owe their customers money

I have had the worst experience with Avant Credit CorporationI am a repeat customer and have been told lie after lie over the course of the last weekI applied for a new loan days agoFirst I was told they had all of the information they needed and then suddenly they didn'tIt took two days of going back and forth, talking to managers etc.After days of that I was assured that my loan would be processed within hoursIt has been since Thursday that I was told that and since Friday there has been a "technical glitch" holding up the processThat was after earlier in the day Friday I was told that everything was all set and I should be funded that daySaturday I was told that IT was working on the problem right thenToday,Sunday, I was told IT doesn't work on weekendsI have called and been disconnected at least timesI don't feel like anything said by this company is the truth anymore
