This company has outstanding interest rates which I think is illegalThis company also has poor customer serviceI will never recommend anyone to do business with this corporation when life events occur in someone life this company has no compassion or tolerance let alone ability to help their customers

My husband died last JulyAvant had an auto draft on my checking accountI contacted the company requesting auto draft and details regarding the account because I could find no documentationThey requested a death certificateI sent itThe draft continuedContacted my bank and Avant to stop this draft and send documentation regarding the account againOnce again they requested a death certificate, which I again sentThey have continued every month for months to withdraw this amountMy bank catches it and within a week usually fixes itThis last week Avant submitted the auto draft with a new account numberAs of now my account has $withdrawnMy bank told me the only way to stop this is to close the account and open a new oneThat means ordering new checks and waiting on new cardsIs this legal on Avant's part?

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have the original copies of the two filed Police Reports which do indeed show Avant as one of the Creditors I was disputing because I also have the ongoing documentation that was not provided to you by the [redacted] Credit Bureau concerning this urgent matter "I do, have the Snipping Photo Copies I made directly from my Credit Report with [redacted] Credit Bureau!" I also provided, two or three of my Bank Statements that show I finally did settle the account under a, "Agreed Settlement Contract because Avant continued to report late payments when I was making them, "Even to the event that after the fact in which [redacted] Credit Bureau allowed them to do this which should be considered illegal as I informed [redacted] on numerous occasions that Avant was still charging me on this account up till the last weeks of April, and we had settled this account on December 8th, 2015! So, I ask why is it alright that [redacted] Credit Bureau get to exclude this type of behavior by Avant Inc, yet when I try to state my facts they are not accepted! This should not be allowed as it did effect my credit report as I will be faxing you over the documents for you all to see as I can see that [redacted] Credit Bureau did not provide this most important information to you all and they should have In fact, aside from the fact that [redacted] allowed Avant to go on making repeated changes up to four months after we settled this account if you study the police as well you will see that Avant is listed on the very top of those accounts I filed as being fraudulent as that is what was going on! "At one point, [redacted] 's Dispute/Fraudulent Supervisor informed me that as long as they had fixed all the problems they saw nothing wrong with what had occurred! So, again, is this some type of double standard business code of ethics because if is, "I find it to be very illegal per the, Consumer Law in the Truth and Lending Acts! Why, did they allow Avant to get away with this and I am being punished for what I did correctly! "I seriously would like to know why [redacted] Credit Bureau did not provide you with the very factual documents that I supplied to them to show them the illegal business practices of Avant Credit! I am not only disputing the so called, "Late Payments" that I could only supply a few of my bank statements but I am disputing the very fact that, "My Rights were violated by Avant and [redacted] Credit Bureau as I mentioned, up to four months after the account was suppose to be, "Settled and Closed!" I applied for loan on October 8, I was informed by Avant that I was approved for $I provided all of the requested documents, and communicated by phone or timesI actually spent over hours on hold between 10/8/and 10/15/15, and I was even disconnected on one occasion, after being on hold for nearly an hourAvant's customer service representative was kind and thorough in handling my questions, but there wasn't any follow through from AvantOn 10/15/15, I was informed my application expired, and a new loan application was activatedThe new application was activated when I logged on to my account to check my status because a contract required my signature was on my screen, and I wasn't able to navigate on my account, without signing the contractI was not aware the contract was for a new application, and I was not aware my original contract had expiredDue to Avant being in possession of documents containing my personal and financial information, on 11/5/15, I logged on to my Avant account to verify there has not been any activity on itOn 11/6/15, I received an e-mail from Avant stating I applied for a loan on 11/5/15, and it was declinedI did NOT apply for another loan on 11/5/15, nor will I ever apply for a loan from AvantBased on information I located on the internet, Avant is rated four and a half stars out of five stars in comparison to other lenders, but my experience with Avant did not reflect the practices of a company worthy of a positive reviewIn my opinion, Avant was misleading, and their customer service was deplorableIn addition, I am now concerned about the possibility of fraudulent use of my personal and financial information due to the notification stating that I applied for a loan on 11/5/15, when I did not apply for another loanI e-mailed my complaint to Avant, and they replied, informing me they deactivated my account, and they referred me to their privacy policy regarding my concern about my financial informationAlthough my complaint to Avant was handled, it should still be noted that their methods are suspicious, and their communication is painfully time consuming

Dear [redacted] ***We are in receipt of your complaint with the Revdex.com (Complaint ID # [redacted] )Here at Avant we pride ourselves in providing excellent service to all of our customers and take all feedback seriously We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your customer experience with AvantFirst, we want to thank you for choosing Avant Our records show that you have been a customer since May, In May, you, like many of our customers, chose the convenience of recurring monthly remotely created check (“RCC”) debits to your bank account to make your monthly payments under the loanIn June, 2015, you requested to opt out of recurring RCC paymentsSubsequently, you updated the bank account on file and consented to opt in to recurring automatic payments via ACH.In reviewing our records, we noted that on October 14, 2015, you submitted a timely request via e-mail to opt out of automatic payments and an additional request to move your November installment payment Through a series of communications that followed these requests, Avant moved your November installment to the end of your loan term, but due to an isolated process issue, we did not update our system to stop the automatic ACH payments Our records show that in December, we had several communications regarding your payment and updating your bank account information However, because of the aforementioned isolated issue in canceling your automatic payments, we submitted a debit to your bank account, respectively, on December 21, 2015, and on January 19, However, please note that the January 19, payment has since returnedOn January 19, we received email correspondence confirming your instruction to cancel the automatic payment service and debits to your bank account You indicated at this time that you intended for the December payment to be automatically debited, but did not wish to opt in to recurring automatic paymentsOn January 24, 2016, Avant contacted you and indicated that your account was under review, and that we would reach out once the investigation concludedOn February 4, 2016, you contacted Avant via e-mail and advised that you did not wish to receive any form of communication from Avant As a result, we have been unable to contact you directly to resolve this matterWe apologize for our process issue and any inconvenience we have caused youWe have completed the review of your account, and confirmed that no further payments will be debited from the bank account on file unless we receive your explicit authorization As a courtesy, we have waived your January installment payment.Additionally, we will reimburse any fees assessed to you by your bank Please submit documentation in the form of a bank statement or transaction detail showing the disputed debit, as well as the full amount of any fees, so that Avant may begin the reimbursement processIf you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Compliance Department directly at [email protected] appreciate the opportunity to serve you.Sincerely,Avant Compliance Department

This is just a patch over for a person in need of an emergency money . They lend the money but just like anything else you pay with an arm and a leg with the interest . I wished if there was another alternative I will not borrow from them but I was very in need at that moment..will not recommend for anybody
