Be aware that if you begin an application but do not click on submit, Avant still treats it like a submitted application, including running a "soft" credit check on you Additionally, it will begin phone calls from them to get you to complete the application After not submitting, I received an email stating my loan was denied I spoke with them on the phone, let them know that I thought they had no right to continue with my UNSUBMITTED application They are assuring me that they will remove my information from their system...which I hope is true This just seems rather "heavy-handed" to me that they would treat an unsubmitted application as a submitted one

Despite repeatedly writing and calling to opt out, this company continues to send me unsolicited pre-approved loan and credit offersI do not want themI think times is enough to opt out for them to get the message

I applied for a loan on 11/10/went through the short simply pre-app and was approved for the $i pick the APR I would like, read and printed the contract, filled out all of the employment info and electronically signed iton the next screen it stated they could not provide me with a loan at this timeThey gave no legit reason as to why even with a web chat with the rep and I call to speak with someone, no-one was able to explain why after being approved, why was I not granted the loannot to forget it did show my credit score which was 651, my income was $after deductions monthlyso it seems it denied for no reason and it was a complete waste of my mins

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The response stated that they comply with all state and federal laws, yet they ignored my request againUtah law states, in which they are governedspecifically: According to Title 7, Chapter 23, Part 4, Section (3)(b) states that my credit report shall be modified to reflect the status of the new loan or repayment plan, and not the previous loan which was in default, as follows: A deferred deposit loan may not be considered in default during the extended payment plan period if the person who receives the deferred deposit loan complies with the terms of the extended payment plan However, they clearly stated that they would not update my credit report to reflect the new repayment plan that is in default, which is not compliant with the foregoing statute Sincerely, [redacted]
