In August I visited California to attend my Uncles FuneralI live in Florida with my two childrenDuring the visit I attended a yoga class at the Natomas, California Family Fitness with my cousin to alleviate some stressI showed up a little late and the sales associate told me that I could pay the dollar drop in fee after the yoga class so that I could enjoy the classAfter the class I was very high pressured sold a membershipI told the salesman that I was thinking about returning to California and that my head was not in the right placeI let him know that I took the class to get away from the grieving processThat man would not take no for an answerI was weak and confusedThis was my first experience with deathA week after the event my Father passed awayIt was not the best time for me to handle affairs and that is why it has taken so long to write this complaintThe sales man exploited my situation like something I have never experiencedI have contacted the

I signed up for an initial inquiry about prices for monthly fees for the California Family Fitness gym just before an international tripWhile I was gone, I received over calls (in just weeks) from their representatives, sometimes with 2--calls a dayI have called them multiple times and requested they stop calling meI even blocked their number, and somehow they end up calling from a different numberI came home from another business trip to find four more messages (in days) from the gym, even after I blocked their number and requested they stop callingMost recently, I have been contacted by Kyle at extension

I signed up for a month to month contract with CalFitI made it very clear I wanted to only join for month to be able to use the pool services for the end of the summerI was told my contract would be $99/month, I could cancel at any time, and that I wouldn't have any cancellation feesI signed up with a guy named *** who told me all of thisI got my first bill, I was charged $159.99, which was obviously above the monthly payment that I agreed toWhen I tried to get this issue resolved, I also tried to cancel my membershipI was promised reimbursement by ***, and also told that my membership was cancelledMy account kept being charged for monthsI asked repeatedly for my membership to be cancelled and for reimbursement to be issuedWhen I spoke to another employee finally named ***, he told me my account was a 12month contract that would be a $charge to cancelI never used the gym membershipThis was completely unfair because I was lied toFinally, I was charge

I have been attending the Laguna Cal fit for quite sometimeNever in my life have I ever had or seen the rudest service from an employee as I have been getting from herHer name is Michele C***I know she teaches spin class thereShe has intruded and walked right in front of me while I was talking to someone, then preceded to start talking to themWhen I walk around the gym she will walk in front of me or gives me dirty looksShe has done this on multiple occasionsShe is rude, disrespectful and if that is what Cal fit want to represent them than I need to find another gymThat is not family oriented employmentShe has not only done this to me but to a few other peopleReally sad that Cal fit hires people like her

California Family Fitness just inherited my contract from a gym that closed their doorsI was signed up for a month contract with them starting 02/07/where I paid initial sign up fees and then would be charged a monthly gym membership fee every month on the 15th after thatI reached out to California Family Fitness to cancel my membership which should have ended months after 02/07/The representative notified me that my contract would not have been up until April 2018, which is more than what I signed in my contractI sent the representative my original contract and they still said I need to pay moreI have already paid for an extra month than I should have and do not want to continue paying for a gym membership that I will not use and I have waited patiently my months to cancel it

I have been a member of this gym since it was built in Elk Grove I purchased the Deluxe Platinum membership that included ALL use of the facility including, but not limited to tanning, racquetball, tennis, basketball etcfor All members of my family At some point the management learned that I referee basketball at the High School level and approached ME with a proposal to clean up the basketball league at Cal fit They would pay me and give me free member ship for my family I was reluctant because I was skeptical that they truly wanted games called "by the book" as they proposed I said I would do it on one condition: If it does not work out, my membership goes back to the way it was at the rate it was Completely grandfathered back As expected members complained after they were ejected for cursing, or fighting,or the didn't like a foul call Naturally I did not continue my employmentMy membership was never properly reinstated and even though I continue to pay, I am oft

I started a membership with CFF in MayJune should have been the first month that the membership due of was taken from my checking accountInstead was takenI called immediately and spoke with a manager who said they would fix itAfter two weeks with no email or the overcharge put back into my account I called againAgain I was told it would be fixed and I would be credited the differenceJuly came and again I was overchargedI called again and was told it would be fixedAgain nothing happensI went on the Revdex.com because CFF website only gives you their corporate address and not email addressesI found the corporate emails on Revdex.com complaints filed by other peopleAfter emailing them Folsom suddenly calls me backThey'll fix it immediately and I won't pay dues in August or SeptemberA week later I get an email saying they are cancelling my account and charging me the $fee to cancel earlyImmediately I get an email from Folsom branch telling me to ignore that emailWell shockingly a week later I get $taken from my accountAt this point I've had enough and tell them to put it back in my account and i'm cancellingThey do and tell me they are sorry and my account's cancelled with no other money going to be withdrawnCome to today and they've taken another $dollars from my accountI would never do business with this companyEverAt this point I am going to file a small claims against them for all money I've paid and my time wasted dealing with their mistakes regarding my accountFour times they illegally withdrew money

On 1-14-my fiance and I decided to go in and get a joint gym membershipFrom the start I was already considering another gym based on the unprofessional sales rep who signed us up that literally flirted with in right in front of me(this also carried out when she would go to the gym) the fact he still has a job is disguistingMoving on, on 1-23-we decided to at the kids as well bring our monthly total to dollars, on 3-25-I took myself and the kids off due to lack of hours at work that same day we changed our bill date from the 28th to the heart 1st and was assured they would not collect until the 1st well 3-28-sure enough they pulled over drafting my account costing me an additional dollarsThey refused to return the money the money to my account and just counted it as a credit for my April bill and fee($90) and pretty much just hushed about the extra where ever that went, not only that other bills were caused to be late and I was fined for those as well due

In October I signed up for a membershipthe individual handling my account was *** ***I am a western health member and we communicated by emailI can not find a record of our communication as we switched from *** *** to Office here a few months ago but would ask that you review the October email logs of *** to confim I was told this was a month to month membership with no cancellation fees when I signed up
March 27th I emailed the corporate office and requested I to cancel my membershipI have not used it, as I have injuries from a car accident that have prevented me from utilizing the gymI also live far away from any locations
I did not receive a response to my request to discontinue, I went to the Gym in Carmichael and spoke with the manager there on April 3rd and was told I had to pay a few of $to cancelI decided not to cancel at that time and went to review my records of the conversation with ***
Today I was charged $

I have been with California Family FitnessThough Customer Service and the gym is all good and well I am not currently happy with the business practice First: my partner and I were not explained that a freeze would extend our contract when we put it on freeze and now our contract that should have ended in January, we are stuck in until July
Second, I went into to make a payment arrangement for just this month; just to change from original date to end of month due to job changes I was charged on the ORIGINAL bill dateThis happened because the account repI worked with failed to tell me that because the bill was already out it wouldnt happen until next timeYet she changed the card information and everything without giving me the informationDue to this I was overdrafted on my bank account! Luckily I caught it before hand or who knows I may have been charged TWICE So I went and spoke to the assistant sales manager *** He was very helpful But I had to wait 3-

I cancelled my membership according to the contractThe company is still billing me for monthly paymentsI have never used the services and sent a certified letter with a final payment within days

I called last month (November) and talked to the office to revise the payment method, he assured me that the existing billing card was deleted and the new card is activeThe office billed my old method in December and January and caused me a fee for overdraft of $

Was not told upon signing there would be a final month payment upon cancelling, waited the term of contract to cancel was assured no more charges would be incurredBilled another month todayCalled corporate said they can do nothing

As a student at CSU Sacramento, I was approached by a representative of California Family Fitness on my way to classHe indicated they had a promotion and that I could sign up for a dollar; if I enjoyed my experience, I would have to sign up for additional servicesI signed a contract with that characterization in mind and in a hurry to classI never visited a California Family Fitness facility
In June, I was charged $and immediately contacted their office to ask whyThey said the contract specified that these terms and I could only cancel by incurring a $early termination feeI indicated to Phillip Ramirez, the Member Services Specialist, that I felt misled on my way to class, and he insisted that these were the terms of the signed agreementEven if this is the case---although I have no way of knowing because their terms don't appear anywhere on their website---I felt it was fair to ask that the agreement be terminated and I be refunded given I had never visited thei

On November 5, 2016, my son, *** *** went online to California Family Fitness.com to sign up for pre-paid month of membershipAt the time, there was a promotion of ‘One Month for only $39.99’this was understood to be a one month only membership, with any extensions to be on a month-to-month basis*** purpose was to allow him a venue to practice swimming as he is on an aquatic team at his school and only required the membership temporarilySoon into the day period, the location began a ‘remodel’ and access to the pool was discontinued at this location(Bond Ave., Elk Grove)
*** chose to utilize the Laguna Blvdlocation to accomplish his pool workoutsOn November 14, 2016, he was denied access because *** was not over years of ageAfter speaking to the Sales Representative (***), I was advised that we could ‘roll over’ the remaining time, (days), to the Laguna BlvdlocationAt several junctures in my conversation with Mr***, I stressed tha

Around May 5th I was approached by the Rocklin California Family Fitness manager who tried to convince me to join the gym for $the first monthI was told that if I didn't like it I could cancel at anytime for freeI forgot to cancel the membership as I suddenly got reallly busy with finals and workToday, June 9th, 2017, I noticed I had a $charge from california Family Fitness on my bank statementI thought this was weird as I was never told that membership was $monthlyI called the business but when I tried to cancel my membership I was told that the manager was busy with a customer and that he would call me later that dayHe never calledI called corporate to explain the situation and they told me that I signed a twelve month contract with them and that if I wanted to cancel it would be $300! I was not told that I was signing a contract, but that I was signing for my credit card to be approved for $I would have never signed if I knew it was a contract and I was n

My brother and I went in after we both received a day trial offerWe were sat down with a manager who told us at first that we could not do the seven day trial and he would not offer it to usAt this point he took us into his office to see what we could do, and we told him that we were both visiting home (my brother lives in *** ***) and we just wanted a place to play some basketball for a week, and that we did not intend on getting a membershipWe were told after that we could play, and we just had to sign some waivers for our trialWe signed some paper work, and during the process I told my sales person that I was going to become a *** ***He proceeded to tell me about the benefits and offers for me and took it upon himself to set up a contract that had a "county employee" discountI never said I wanted this contract, and I was even told that if I did not provide proof of job employment that I would not get it anywaysI brushed this off assuming he was just sett

I was quoted just a $15/mo upcharge to my existing bill (which is $89.99) for adding another child onto my accountOnce my agreement was emailed to me it stated I was being billed $120/monthI went back to the gym to talk to a sales rep and they told me they couldn't do anything and I was "quoted the wrong price"The sales rep who originally helped me had my account in front of him so I dont know how he could just quote me wrong
I called the corporate office and talked to member services and was told essentially the same thingThat I was quoted wrong and there was "nothing they could do"
It is poor business practice and customer service to have someone sign an agreement for an amount they were told and then to just brush it aside and say oops and that they can't do anything about itFor a business that is corporate, I expect better customer service and for them to stick to their own quotes and agreements even if it a staff and training issue

When we signed up for membership, we were considering paying month-to-month, as we did not want to be obligated to a contract, should we decide not to continue servicesThe sales representative assured us that health club contracts in California are not enforceable, by law, and we would be able to cancel our contract at any time without penaltyDue to this assurance, we agreed to the lower-priced membership rate
Earlier this week, we tried to cancel our membership, as we were no longer using the servicesWe were told we would be assessed a $penalty for early terminationWe reminded them of what the sales rep had told us about not enforcing the contract, and they simply told us they didn't see anything like that in the contractThey didn't even bother denying that their sales rep would use such a tactic, merely quoting contract clauses
A health studio services contract is void and unenforceable, and may be canceled on this basis, if we are induced to sign the contract b

I am an year old full time student On May 1, I went to California Family Fitness in Rocklin to take advantage of their $five day promotional tryoutOn May 27, 2016, there was a charge of $taken from my debit account from California Family FitnessI had not been to California Family Fitness since after the promotional tryout expiredOn June 11, my father made an attempt to take care of the issue face-to-faceHe discussed the matter with a Family Fitness manager because I was too emotional to handle the problem by myself My father told the manager what had happened with the bank charge, and the manager said a contract was signed for an entire year at $per month It was made clear to the manager that this was a complete mistake, and that a contract was never intentionally signed The manager said the contract could not be cancelled without a $cancellation fee My father asked for a copy of the contract and he printed one out It had my sig
