Review: I am in the process of repairing my credit. I pulled my credit report on October 30, 2013 so see if I had anything reported negatively. Upon my review, I noticed a debt in collections with Berk Credit and Collections in the amount of $40.00. This should have been charged to my child's father and not me being that I have court documentation showing the he is solely responsible for all medical bills. I called Berk Credit and Collections to inquire about the debt and the CSR explained to me that they do not get into domestic matters regarding billing. She was very rude and condescending. I was trying to explain to her that I had no problem paying the debt but I need to know their reporting policy. I asked if she could send me some sort of documentation stating the they would agree to remove/delete this item from my report upon payment. She told me that there was nothing that they could do and that I should be more responsible regarding what I owe. I became disgusted and hung up. I immediately called back to speak with another CSR who must have attended the same training class as the first rep I spoke with. This CSR went into how it was not their fault that my child's father nor myself paid our bills and that was why it was in collections on both of our reports. I was told that they never send out those type of letters and that I would have to wait for it to fall off my report. I explained to her that although the amount would show as paid it would still affect my credit because it would show as an item that was in collections. She then told me that maybe I needed to contact someone in credit repair to give my advice as what to do and that she could not help me.

I know what to do. That is why I CONTACTED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. IT IS NOT AS IF THEY HAD TO TRACK ME DOWN. I am quite sure that they are not contacted that often by a person wanting to pay. I did not need her advice. I am trying to do the responsible thing and pay the debt. I do not feel comfortable making payment on this debt without proof that they will remove the item. Why should I make payment on something if I will still be affected negatively? All I want to do is pay them so that it can be removed and we can both go on with our lives.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter from the collection agency stating that they will request the deletion or removal of this debt from my credit report upon payment received. I want the collection agency to report to all the credit agencies that this item is to be deleted or removed from my credit report and not just paid in full. Upon receiving this PFD (PAY FOR DELETION) letter, I will pay the debt immediately. They will have their money and I will have improved credit. Quite simple. Remove the item from my credit!

I had a great experience with this company. They were quick and easy with paying off 3 debts and setting up a payment plan on my 4th debt. They gave me a low monthly payment and let me choose the date for the auto- withdrawl. I called back to change the date and it was done within 2 minutes. The representives I spoke to were professional and nice.
The only reason I chose not to reccomend this business to others is I don't wish debt on anybody even though I had a good interaction with them.

Review: this place has had a 6101 medical bill that is not supposed to be on my credit report. They have removed the one for 264.00. This other bill should not be on here?Desired Settlement: I need to know what this bill is and how I can have it removed like the other one.Can they send me a copy of this bill . I do not even know what this is for. I have always had insurance so I am not sure what this is for. Do I need to set up a payment plan. I can not get ahold of them?

Review: I was contacted by Berks Credit on 9/16/2013 in regards to a past due bill from a medical office. I explained to the representative that I was unable to make payment at the time and that I was broke and my next few checks were spoken for already due to other obligations she proceeded to tell me that I had no intentions to pay the bill ( which I do) and when I asked to speak to another representative or a manager I was told no and hung up on. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and once again they didn't want to hear what I had to say and I was told that they can take my number of there list and I responded "it is what it is" and I was hung up on again. The reason for me filing a complaint is because of the 3rd call I placed to there office. I called to get my account number and date they received the account so I could make a payment online. The representative proceeded to give me my account number, date of birth and every bit of info I wanted THEN told me "I didn't know we were going to have a long conversation so I have to advice you that we are a debt collector and this is an attempt to collect a debt" She sounded sleepy and was rude. She gave out all of my info before advising me it was a debt collector which they are suppose to do before giving out my account info. Very unprofessional business. My intentions were to set up a payment plan with them because I'm broke but they made it out like I was poor and a piece of trash that cant pay his bills.Desired Settlement: I want my account cleared or sent back to the office that originally sent it to them so I can pay them out right I do not want to deal with this company as they are rude.

The account was placed for Collections on June 27,2013. Notification was mailed and we originally spoke to [redacted] on July 1,2013 where he stated he would try to pay something by the end of the month. We then spoke to [redacted] on Sep 16, 2013 and could get no commitment. He did call back several times and spoke to a Supervisor and several representatives. The supervisor ended the call as [redacted] was getting aggressive. Every incoming call receives a recording of the Mini Miranda stating we a debt collection agency and that all calls are recorded.

The only person that got aggressive was the manager. This is not the reason I logged the complaint the reason was because my information was given out before I was read my rights. She told me everything before confirming my identity.

Review: Out of nowhere one day I received an alert on my credit monitoring saying that my high credit score dropped by 77 points. This is extremely significant and led me to Berks Credit and Collection. Upon calling them they said I had a balance for my son from a pediatric office. I was completely unaware of this and never received an email or phone call telling me so. Further, the debt from the practice was due to a billing mixup on the part of the office.Desired Settlement: Removal of the negative piece from my credit report. Once that is done I will pay off the actual balance immediately.

I am rejecting this response because: I paid the balance even though I dispute it since it had a very negative effect on my credit score and report. I never have had a missed payment in my life. I continue to refute the claims from the medical practice that brought this upon my child. Further, the fact that I never once received notice from Berks or even a call and the only reason I knew about this is due to my credit monitoring is extremely unlawful and unethical.

[redacted] did provide us with his insurance information and we forwarded it to our Client. They had the same insurance information and when they tried to bill they were toll they have the wrong insurance information. They had left a message at the insurance company for the adjuster to follow up with them.

Review: I was contacted by a debt collection agency on July 6, 2013. It was explained to me that were collecting a debt and that I had the option of paying in an installment. I requested that a letter be mailed to me, so that I could make arrangements to pay the installment. I never received the letter. I recently checked my credit report while in the process of closing on a purchase of a home, where they made a reporting 4 months later. I called to see why I wasn't contacted earlier. They said they tried to reach me with an automated dialer. I have tried numerous times to answer the calls from an unknown automated dialer, but when I follow the prompt to be connected to a representative, I get disconnected. I couldn't call the agency back because I didn't know the name, because the automated dialer only says "this is an attempt to collect a debt. If this is _______, please press 1." I paid the debt in full once I was able to get in contact with a representative, but they refuse to remove the negative reporting from the credit bureaus. This reporting has dropped my score by 32 pts resulting in the inability to purchase my home.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that the negative reporting be removed from my credit report immediately, so that I may proceed with the purchase of my home. The company has a track record for making inaccurate reports and attempts to collect debts and I will like this rectified.

Review: Upon checking my credit report I learned the Berks Credit and Collections had listed that I had a $105 medical charge in collections. I attempted to call the collections company on 5 different occasions only to receive an answering service stating that they were not available to leave a message. I have not received a call back to clarify what this charge is for. There has been no attempt by this collection company to collect this payment; no letters or phone calls. This collection company has severely affected by credit score for a collection charge that is not mine and they have failed to provide me with any information of where this charge is coming from.Desired Settlement: Berks Credit and Collection must delete this collections account from my credit report to correct my credit score. They have incorrectly assigned this debt to my name and it must be corrected.

We were just notified by our Client on dec 18th, 2013 that the bill is Paid in Full. We have requested deletion of our Trade Line from [redacted] Credit Bureau Report

Review: I was not sent any collection information from them. It was not until my husband tried to get a credit report and found that we owed money to an unknown medical source. I am still not sure who in the past this is and both my husband and I have left messages with the collection agency with no follow up responses.Desired Settlement: An explanation of this bill - it's listed twice on the credit report??, an explanation to the poor company who has NOT been paid because they certainly deserve an explanation as to why someone at this COLLECTIONS AGENCY isn't collecting money on their behalf! Once we come to an understanding of who the payee is, we can follow up on our records to prove correct and fair amounts owed.

We are required to send notifcation to a consumer within 5 days of intital contact. We had contact on 03/04/13 and notifcation was generated that day, [redacted] did leave a message on the weekend of the 2nd. We did call call her and the bill was paid that day. We also agreed to remove the account from [redacted]'s CBR as a courtesy.
