Pleaseaccept our sincerest apology for any trouble or inconvenience we have causedyou. Thankyou, MichaelAllSteel Carports 800/730/
We regret that the issues with this schedule As Mr*** indicated we called him the day before to let him know the problem We understood the 28th would not work for him, and we offered to just have him "mark the four corners" on his property and we could install the building on the
28th and we would allow him to wait until he got home to insure the building was properly installed to his satisfaction and then he could make his payment, rather than require him to be present to make the payment upon the completion of the installation Mr*** was not agreeable to that option stating he wanted to be there We understand the frustration but there is little that we can do when the snow and ice hinder the contractor from working We will work to put Mr*** on the very next schedule after the 28th that will work with him
Mr*** ***,We were contacted about the issue from the ***; we then requested pictures and advised that we will schedule a repair once we can get in that area. Customer was advised of the time frame it would take to get back out to them. The contractor then went to the
customer’s home to inspect the building. The contractor did come later than scheduled due to delays in the schedule, and the customer was advised of said delaysThe contractor inspected the building and found that the issue is that the customer's preexisting concrete pad which the building sits on was not square to itself, and the issue was not with the building. He advised the customer of his findings and left the residence. We then offered the customer a $200 reimbursement to take the building as is and to help pay for any labor to correct their pad to the way they want itCustomer then called insisting that it was the building, not the pad, that was the issue and wanted us to come out instead of accepting the $to take the building as is.A different contractor came and also stated the same findings; the issue was with the concrete pad, not the buildingThe building is square but the pad is not square. Customer insists this is not correct and that we come to correct itI spoke to the customer’s wife about this issue today the 22nd and advised her that I will look in to this and get a response to her in 24-hoursShortly after, I received this complaint from MrsSartainI do not have any notes that she emailed the owner of the companyI would like a copy of that email if all possible.Thank you,Brian ***All Steel Carports INC.***Fax: 765-284-
Mr*** had his building installed The roll up door we purchased from *** Doors had a manufacturing defect that was obvious when the door was installed The contractor did not have another door on his truck at the time the building was installed
that he could easily replace it with The customer decided to withhold FULL PAYMENT for the building because the roll up door was defective At the time of the installation an instruction was given to tell the customer that he could withhold the $he paid for the door from his payment until the door was replaced What we believe the customer was told was that he could just withhold payment (full payment) until the door was replaced When the contractor came back with paperwork showing that there was NO payment, the original instruction to withhold payment for the DOOR is what collections had noted They did call Mr*** and dispute his claim that he was told he didn't have to pay until the door was replaced We were able to go back and listen to the recording and agreed that our employee did not communicate properly with the customer NO MORE CALLS FOR COLLECTION have been made to the customer about the collection! We contacted Mr*** on Friday, to schedule to come out and replace the door on Monday Mr*** stated he could not be home that day to meet the contractor because he would be out of town until Wednesday of that week We explained that it might be a couple more weeks before we would be back in that area and that he did not have to be home for the contractor to replace the door He could come home and inspect that the door was properly installed and then he could make his payment but he declined (He has a dog that he would need to secure to allow the contractor into the area around the building. We are working on a schedule that will be back in his area the week Sept 5-(a couple week later as we indicated to Mr***) and we will let him know the date the contractor can replace the door
In response to Mr***,The Contractor did fall behind schedule due to a problem a customer before him. The contractor thought he could resolve the problem faster than he was able to do which is why we told the customer earlier in the day that he was planning to get to him later in
the day. When the customer call back in later in the day, we contacted the contractor who THEN told us he was still an hour from finishing and would prefer to start his building the following morning. The contactor did show up at the customer's home the next morning but found the customer had ordered the building with the incorrect width to fit his site. We spoke with the customer while the contractor was there and we worked with him to correct the size of his building. Since the building had been manufactured for the customer as specific dimensions which were incorrect we would typically charge a $return trip fee, but the contractor waived that fee trying to assist the customer. We have already notified our factory to fabricate a building to the customers new dimensions and our scheduling department has already designated a schedule to bring out the new building within the next days Thank you,Brian S*** Customer Care Department / Quality Control AgentAll Steel Carports INC.800-730-Ext:219765-284-Ext:[email protected]: 765-284-

Mr*** hung up on the representative.Mr***'s response is filled with statements as can be proven by the recorded calls made to him All Steel has determined that the disrespect the customer has shown to our representatives and the attempt to disparage our company name has created a situation where we do not wish to work with the customer and we will cancel the building and we will refund his NON REFUNDABLE deposit to avoid further contact with this customer Despite the fact he was unable to take delivery of the building within days of his order, he has chosen to file a complaint against the company based on accusations, which we have corrected in this response The check to the customer will be sent out within business days

I am not satisfied with the company's response because they seem to be missing my pointWhen I ordered the carport I was told 2-weeks for it to be built2-weeks! I ordered it on October 18th, and it's now December 21st and besides having no carport built they keep scheduling build dates but just keep canceling the dates and rescheduling and cancellingI was told 2-weeks! I ordered it in October so I could keep snow off of my camperIf I didn't care about that I would've ordered it in DecemberThe company keeps making excuses for there inability to keep scheduleWhy would a company tell you 2-weeks when in fact they are months behind scheduleTo fully resolve my issue with them I would like my dollar deposit back because they broke scheduleThis company has been lying to customers about when they can actually come and build any of there productsThey have cancelled my build schedule times now and I'm willing to bet that they will be calling me in the next few days to cancel againI just want my dollars back and I will go to a company that is professional enough to keep a schedule.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have read the response from All Steel and would like to set the records straightI did NOT have a conversation with anyone at All Steel advising me that I could mark the corners of the property and just inspect the property when I get home from work! This has all been fabricatedBefore I ended the conversation with Mitchell telling him that the date of December 28th would not work, as I would be working and could not take another day off, he advised me "it could be some time before we would be back in the area" I advised this is unacceptable as it has already been weeks after being told 5-weeks I will be getting my refund returned from the fine folks at *** ***, they keep their word, unlike All SteelI want the order cancelled and never to talk to All Steel againI do not trust them or their business and will advise as many people as possible of the same
