In response to Mr. [redacted], I have received your complaint. I am sorry about the experience you had with our collections agent. I will be contacting you through phone or email regarding your building.I do apologize this is the first I am hearing of this issue. Thank you, Brian...
I do apologize about the delivery time delay. Normally when one of our reps give an ETA they’re close unless something happens with loading that area. We have sent Mr. [redacted] the warranty and receipt multiple times. I personally have attached it to a previous response. If you go back and look at a previous response you will see the attachments. We have tried to send Mr. [redacted] what we call a punch list and Mr. [redacted] never responded to that punch list that was sent. The warranty would cover the building. The warranty does not cover anything inside of the building as the owner’s insurance would cover anything inside. If you have issues with your building that need warranty work send the information with pictures to [email protected]. They can review the pictures there. Our rating is based on the number of buildings we put up vs the amount of complaints. We also respond to every complaint that comes in. We have less than ½ of 1% of buildings we put up get complaints. We put up hundreds of buildings a month and get a couple of complaints a year. The customers building is up and functioning. It is under the warranty. The information has been sent to the email attached to this complaint. I feel there is no way Mr. [redacted] has never received the information. I am contacting you in regards to [redacted]. Complaint ID# [redacted]. We have been talking to his wife mostly through the Revdex.com site and Email. We have done everything we can with this customer. Our building is fine. The customers complaint that the building is not square on the concrete pad. The customers concrete pad is lop sided So our contractor had to square the building the best he could on a lopsided pad. We have advised the customer of this multiple times. At one point we had the customer in agreement but his wife would not let up. Her name is not on the order. We feel this complaint is unfair as we have done everything we can. Offered to come out and move the building to how she would want it or a partial refund for the customer to take the building as is. Customer is not demanding that we refund all of her money. There is not issue with our building at all.

Date Sent: 11/14/2016 8:08:45 PMRevdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. My request for the Monday installation was stated at the time the order was placed. And the Monday installation they say they had Ashley working on was 8 full weeks after the order was placed. And not until after the complaint was filed. At that point I felt and still do that they can not be trusted. And to pay a additional $1500.00 plus dollars to a company that may or may not stand behind their product I feel would be foolish on my part. Some of the reasons I do not trust them are as follows.1) I was told in the web site that carports would be installed within 2 weeks at the most and it was not.2)I was told by Mitch that he would email me copies of recorded phone calls and he did not.3)They stated in their response to the complaint that I failed to mention the Monday only installation and I did mention it.4)They stated I did not pay a deposit to All Steel Carports and I did pay a deposit at time of order.5) They stated that they would remove the 2 weeks at most for installation statement from their web site catalog and they have not.Their company has fail to honor their contract by not installing the carport within the 2 week period stated in the catalog .I feel that the deposit paid to their dealer should be returned to me by the company at this time. And it should not be up to me to contact their dealer.I would hope that we could settle this matter within the Revdex.com system.Thank You[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I just reviewed both telephone calls that All Steel Carports made to me, neither said anything about the contractor not showing up weather permitting. I also reviewed the telephone call that I made to them and they said they were sending my deposit back and I would receive it in five days. Counting Saturday it has been five days and I have not recieved it yet. I do realize that Martin Luther King Day was Monday so I will wait to see if it is there this Monday the 29th., of January 2018. When they called me to ask if I would still take the carport if they delivered it on Monday 29 January 2018 they said they were still sending my deposit regardless if I agreed to take the carport. I would like to know where they got the information that they gave you because the conversation that they say we had is different than what is in my phone records.I will only drop my claim when the carport is installed. We have purchased a total of five carports before this one from another company through the agent that sold us this carport and they told us they install regardless of temperature or weather providing it is not very high winds or thunder storms. I realize every company is different. Thank you Revdex.com for taking the time to help remedy this situation.

This is true Mr. [redacted]’s installation of his building was on Oct 7, 2015. This is trueAt the time of the purchase Mr. [redacted] declined to use the anchoring system that is provided by All Steel Carports and requested that we use special anchors that he purchased instead, which were longer in size than our anchors by 12 inches. This is not true, I did not decline to use the anchors provided by ASC, I advised them that I had just put in 17” of new gravel to level the site, if I had used the 30” ground anchors provided by ASC that would have meant that only 13” of their anchors would have been in virgin undisturbed soil, the Anchors that I bought were 48” long and were approved for use by Brian at ASC, please see attached emails. The Contractor who installed the building for Mr. [redacted] made EVERY attempt to install his anchors using the equipment we provide for installation of our anchoring system. There were to be 6 anchors installed in the building. The contractor was able to install 4 of the anchors but the remaining two anchors WOULD NOT go into the ground due to either rock or concrete or some very hard substance that completely resisted the pressure of our anchoring machine for this installation This is not true the crew installed three corner ground anchors without incident, on the fourth corner he did hit something in the ground that stopped the ground anchor, the three Hispanic men crew only the crew leader spoke very broken English, however his language barrier was very clear when the fourth anchor got stuck he threw his machine on the ground and said no more, I said yes you have to finish installing the anchors, he replied no you do it, with that I did not want to continue into an argument with a person who spoke very little English,, so I picked up his machine as he said and began to put an anchor in the ground, the anchor hit something and got stuck, the machine which was not wired correctly would not shut off at the switch because it had been bypassed a definite violation of OSHA, the machine spun me a round and I ended up on top of the running machine until one of the crew ran over and unplugged the machine at this point I had enough and Called Skip my sales person, Skip responded to my home and talked with the crew leader he still refused to attempt to install anymore ground anchors, Skip called Brian at ASC and the next thing I know the crew leadr was installing one of the ASC ground anchors in the last corner which occurred without incident which was fine because in that area I did not have but about six inches of new gravel the rest of the 30” anchors was planted into good virgin compacted dirt. Skip left the site while he was installing that anchor, then the crew leader said no more I immediately called Brian at ASC he advised me they would finish installing the last two middle anchors before they left the site, they did not install the last two anchors and they left. I called skip and Brian back they both prommissed the crew would return before they left town and install the last two. I waited until October 12, I then called Skip and Brian back and informed them that the crew never returned, Brian said he would check into the problem and get back in touch, knowing that I Had already been lied to by Brian at ASC I filed a Revdex.com complaint. Mr. [redacted] became very irritated with our crew when they were unable to install the additional two anchors. When the crew returned to their work to finish the roof, Mr. [redacted] took possession of the anchoring machine and attempted, ON HIS OWN this is a blatant lie, I have three witnesses to the fact that the crew leader said no more you install them, to install the anchors he felt the crew were NOT ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL. Again this is not true see my response above, the crew never even attempted to do the two ground anchors in the middle, the crew leader could not possible know if they could have been installed without incident as the first three anchors went in without incident, because he never tried to install the last two even after I told him to just use the ASC anchors, in my way of thinking those anchors would have been better than no anchors. As a result, per Mr. [redacted]s letter to you, the machine threw him around when he attempted to install the anchors that he felt the contractor should have been able to do so easily. I never said it was an easy job, I know the crew has a hard job. But that is why I paid to have it installed by what I thought were going to be professionals. All Steel Carports cannot know when a customer’s ground has rock surfaces that do not allow for the anchoring to secure to the ground. We realize that the customer may not know this either, but, per our contract with the customer, the building is installed AS IS on the ground designated by the customer.Choosing to use an anchoring system outside of the one provided by All Steel Carports is the customer’s option, the Purchasing and use of stronger and longer anchors was approved by Brian at ASC again see attached emails between Skip and ASC as proof I did not go rouge and just order something stronger than the ASC anchors without prior approval. however, the customer assumes the liability for the system of their choice. Even if the customer had opted for the All Steel Carport anchoring system, we can only install anchors when the ground conditions allow. We are not obligated to find solutions for anchoring issues. If, per say, our anchoring machine were to break down during an installation of our anchoring system, then All Steel Carports would be liable for the task of getting a new machine to allow us to install the anchors owed to the customer! If it took us a couple of days to do that, and wind blew the building over.. then we would bear responsibility for that damage as it was OUR RESPONSIBILITY to have the machine to install the anchors the customer has purchased in our system. The customer chose an alternate anchoring system and our contractor made every attempt to install the anchors without success. Even the Customer attempted to install the anchors using our machinery to do so without success. Withstanding a miracle of the Almighty, these anchors will not go into the ground due to issues with the customer’s ground situation! 100 trips to the customer’s location will not solve this problem. It is not a problem of our equipment, it is not a problem of an inability to do the work, it is not a problem of not having anchors, it is a FACT that the ground is too rocky to accept the anchor. Again this is not true and you are right it would not take a 100 trips, it would only require that the crew tried to install the last two middle anchors while they were onsite which they refused to even attempt, even after I told the crew leader to try the ASC anchors like he did for the last corner as the middle only has 10” of fresh gravel that would have put 20” of the ASC anchors into virgin compacted dirt he still refused to try.Complaining that All Steel Carports can’t bust up the rocky foundation to anchor his building is not a legitimate or fair complaint again not true the crew leader never even attempted to install the last two anchors I will say it one last time, the first three anchors were sunk into the ground 48” without incident but when the crew leader ran into a problem on the fourth corner to which he did eventually install, he absolutely gave up on the last two middle ones without ever trying, they may have very well went into the ground without incident as the first three did and at this point we cannot ascertain if he would have had any problems as he simply did not try.Dealer Skip spoke to [redacted] and he gave a list.Nothing has changed in the ground since we have been to your location. The ground has prevented us from installing the Anchors. We can install 3’ braces for any concern of swaying. The cost of the 3' braces are $100.00 plus the $50.00 return fee. The building swaying in the wind is a concern to me, however with that said if your engineers have determined that no additional bracing is required to prevent metal fatigue then by all means they are the experts. However I do have a question if three foot braces would have taken the sway out of the carport why were two foot braces used.I am sorry your installation crew and Brian from ASC customer service was not truthful with you at (ASC All Steel Carports), In closing all I want is for the two remaining middle anchors installed and the swaying of the carport stopped.Regards,

In Response to Mr. [redacted], We do apologize about the scheduling issues you've had. We usually can't commit to a certain date of install but can usually get pretty close to a date. Since we do traveling construction there is a pretty big chance that something can happen on the road to delay a...
schedule or delay a contractor coming back to load another schedule. That is the main reason we do not do predetermined install dates. All deposits are nonrefundable, They're used to pay the dealer for their work and also a fee to fabricate the building. Only in certain circumstances can a deposit be refunded. I listened to some calls and found one with a rep named Amanda and during that call Mr. [redacted], said the 12th of May would be best. Amanda said she would note that down and right after that said once they have a schedule sometime after the 12th you would be contacted. I then listened to another call and it was from LaVera calling to schedule the building for the 12th of May for install. Customer accepted that date of install. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am at a loss as to what to do next. I have never been through anything like before ever! To be honest I have never used the Revdex.com before. The man that I purchased this building from said the company had an A+ rating. All the bad reviews I read after the fact, I feel like I experienced all of them rolled into one. Can you explain to me how a company with a 73% costumer review rating can have a Revdex.com A+ rating? That doesn’t compute to me. As soon as I mailed the check, I was pretty confident I would never get any money back out of Allsteel. I just filed a complaint with the Revdex.com because I don't think it is right that I am left with paying for repairing and finishing my brand new building that l paid them almost $20,000 for and to try to keep even just one person from going through any of what I have been through. I have said the same thing in my complaint over and over. The same things I have said to Allsteel since last December (2017). They seemed to have one goal and that was to get paid. It appeared to me they didn't care what methods it took. They said I took their $400 discount offer when they offered it. That is not the case. That was the ONLY choice I had. They plainly stated that if I wanted to take them to court, I would be driving to Indiana (from Arkansas) to do it. After trying to rationalize with them, only to be mocked by them in their next email and threatened in multiple ways, I had no other choice but to pay them. They forced me into paying them before I could even get the building inspected. Please read my case notes. All I can say is I purchased a 30x50 building in November for $18,515.51. No matter what they say, my contract has written on every page delivery within four weeks per Lavera. My wife called and verified, and the man we purchased the building from called and verified that it would be delivered and complete within the four weeks and that it would be a two to three day instillation. They left me with one door completely missing with a 10x10 hole in my wall. One door that couldn't be opened at all and the rest of the doors were a lot of trouble to open and close because they were so bad out of alignment. When the first building crew left that first time, it was about five+ weeks before the building was what Allsteel called complete. There were no weather delays. It was just simply them dragging their feet. They said in their last response that they sell hundreds of buildings a month and only get a couple complaints a year. I don't know what everyone else bought from them, but I am sure they are counting all the open ended carports they sell for a few hundred dollars each. The salesman I bought this building from even said it was rare to sell a building of this size; he usually just sold small carports. And as for the number of complaints, your website has way more than the number they admit to on there. My auto repair business has been in business since 1974. It has been in the same location since 1977. I don't recall ever having any trouble getting my mail. But I have a feeling that their warranty isn’t worth the paper it is written on, if I ever get a copy of it. I have sent them pictures of what a hack job their instillation crew did on my building. I was trying to prevent my building from collapsing in a wind storm. All they want to say is I have warranty and if it fails they would fix then, but I am responsible for anything it damages on the inside. Why not fix it right the first time? He still failed to address the fact that I still have one 10x10 shop door in the wrong location. I have to drive in and out at an angle instead of straight in. I feel the success of my business is do something once, do it right, make the customer happy, and you will have repeat customers. Most of my business revolves around repeat customers. Apparently Allsteel does not. And as far as his punch list, I have NEVER received anything like that. I don't even have a clue what that is.Over the years I have dealt with many different companies for one reason or the other. Most were good some were not so good, but this is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. I am sick to death of going over this over and over again. First with them directly and now though the Revdex.com. Please post my complaint to your website and maybe it will prevent someone else from going through this nightmare.Thank you [redacted]

First of all, they responded that the contractors may be on roofs. This company installs carports...I've yet to see one attached to a roof. Second, Ashley stated that she could not contact them because there was no interpreter and they did not speak english. Brian stated when I spoke to him that he would direct the delivery to be made to the Thornville location as the contractors were already in Thornville. I also was told on several occasions that the contractors "refused" to deliver at a particular location or time and there was nothing to be done about their refusal. Tiffany was rude beyond any comparison! I feel like they reserve her to get on the phone and literally scream at customers. I feel that the CEO/Owner of the company should apologize personally for his bunch of rude employees. Every site I look at about this company has several complaints about their terrible and rude customer service.

The point the customer is making is that he wants his building within the time frame he anticipated despite the ice, snow, and other weather conditions that have hindered the schedule. The contractor is paid until he installs the building. All Steel doesn't make a dime until the contractor installs the building. We could have said, lets wait until the spring to attempt the installation so that we don't disappoint the customer or frustrate him when the weather prevents the contractor from working.. or impedes the speed at which he can work. BUT, we didn't do that. We scheduled it and attempted to get the building to him. We will continue to do our best to get the building installed as soon as possible. Our office will contact the customer with the next schedule we can arrange into his area.
Mr. [redacted] is correct that the contractor did not call him to tell him he was unable to continue with the trip to install his building on Sunday. Our office is closed on Sunday so we were unaware of the issue until we opened on MLK Holiday, Monday. Upon learning of the matter, we immediately spoke to Mr. [redacted] and we refunded his deposit in full. Mr. [redacted] said he understood how the communication occured since we were not opened on Sunday and the contractor was trying to get his building done despite the weather, but failed. We then called Mr. [redacted] back and told him that we would offer to install his building on Monday, Jan 22 and also allow him to keep his deposit because we wanted him to know that the company cared about his business and that despite the weather giving us fits, and failure to communicate the matter to him, we knew he needed his building and we knew we could get it to him faster than him waiting another period of time with another company. He agreed and said he appreciated the extra effort. We did agree that it would be weather permitting, and we are praying for a good day!We understand that customers need their buildings and we reminded him that our company doesn't get paid, nor the contractor, UNTIL the building is installed! We look forward to having his building installed next week!

However, I have not heard from them as of this date, Oct. 6th. I have delayed accepting this as I was waiting for their call.
