In response to Mrs. [redacted] [redacted],I do apologize about the delay in getting your permit approved.I've looked over all of the information and found the plans are expired for [redacted].The date stamp that is on the plans is the expiration date for the engineer that we were looking at; the plans expire 1...
year from the date issued. I do apologize about the confusion that we have caused in this case.I do want to make it clear that All Steel Carports has no intention of profiting from the plans a customer purchases. When a customer purchases plans, they are for their specific building only.I reviewed the email Gabby had sent to you. She did state in the email the plans she offered for purchase would be for your exact building. The engineer would have drawn the plans for a 18x21x7 with both sides, one end and 14 mobile home anchors installed on a ground foundation. The generic plans that we send and the specific plans that Gabby offered to you are two completely different sent of plans. Our generic plans are for everything from 12-30 wide. We do not profit off of our generic plans, we simply have those as an option so that a customer does not have to purchase the plans for their building unless the township requires the plans for the specific building to be drawn. That is generally the only time someone would have to purchase plans for their building. We have purchased the generic plans for [redacted]. The engineers are going to update the plans and send them with a new seal that will not expire for another year. We can provide you with the generic plans to your email [redacted] once we receive them from the engineers. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. The business response makes it appear that they scheduled the install and contacted me prior to my response comments dated 10/17/2016. This is not the case! Tayde called on Friday, 10/21/2016 to say that she "thought" someone would be in my area on Tuesday to install our door. I asked if someone would confirm for sure on Monday, as I needed to make arrangements for time off work. I was told someone would call and confirm, and this did not happen. Once again, I had to do the follow up and confirm that installation would actually occur on Tuesday. We FINALLY have the correct door installed on our carport. However, All Steel Carports has provided nothing but POOR COMMUNICATION, EMPTY PROMISES, and DEFICIENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. My best advise to anyone looking to purchase a pole barn-type building or carport is Do Not Buy from All Steel Carports!

Regards,
[redacted] They say they are going to contact me on the tenth to make arrangements to have the carport installed? They have contacted me twice in the past couple of weeks and made arrangements and have changed them both times. So, that means they are going to contact me on the tenth and change the appointment again??? They have been promising me since November that the carport would be put in within the "next week or two", and they never showed up.It seems they do not know what they are doing. I am sorry, but with all of the promises that they have been making since November and not keeping them I will only be satisfied when they actually show up and install the carport. Thank u.
In response to [redacted],I do want to start and say I do apologize about the delay receiving your carport.I've listened to every call and read every note. We will be taking steps to prevent this experience from happening in the future. All Steel Carports has a Estimated delivery time of 6-8 weeks, This is our best estimate and is not intended to serve as a guarantee.this estimated time frame can be sooner and can also take longer. We have had this time frame since the end of the summer. We have corrected the estimated time frame with the dealer who sold the building. We have had a lot of issues getting in the area, contractor availability was one of the main issues.Denisa sat down and pulled all of the orders around your area and then put them together in a schedule. Denisa will also be calling to schedule you for Wednesday the 10th.I do apologize about the long wait you had to endure. In response to
[redacted] Complaint ID: [redacted]Despite his
decision not to install a vertical metal roof, All Steel Carports offered to
come back at our expense to install the caulking strip that he purchased. We even went
further to satisfy Mr. [redacted] by agreeing to pay for the caulking...
strip that was
needed to stop the leaking on the horizontal roof despite the fact we told him this
would likely happen if he did not have a vertical metal roof… We bare no liability in this issue, but made
the offer in a show of effort to assist the customer. The punch
list he references that applying caulk strip was one of two tasks that we had
agreed to complete. The first task on the list was to confirm that
the number of Mobile home anchors were properly installed on the building. We
asked Mr. [redacted] to confirm if all anchors were installed but he indicated he
did not know so we offered to have the contractor confirm the amount of anchors
and install any missing. The total cost of the anchors on his contract was
$700.00 He has withheld double that amount for over a year.By his own
admission, All Steel Carports never requested or demanded the payment awaiting
the opportunity to install the anchors after the ground was thawed. We went
back and installed the anchors and he still refused to pay the company.Mr. [redacted]’s
complaint is that he is unsure he has proper anchors and that his horizontal
roof (61ft long) is leaking where the metal overlaps. Our “Punch
List” addressed both of these concerns, but Mr. [redacted] declined to have us come
back to fix the problems. We understand that Mr. [redacted] refused to pay us
because of the anchors and leaking roof. We accept that as he is entitled to
the proper amount of anchors for his building. We just have to be able to come
to the building to VERIFY how many are installed and if any others are needed.
If he cannot tell us how many anchors he has… and he will not allow us to come
back and verify the number of anchors for him, then how will we ever resolve
the concern about the anchors? Perhaps he feels that if he doesn’t let us come
back on his property, then he won’t have to pay us because we can’t confirm he
has all of his anchors? As for the
roof, our offer to apply the caulking was the best remedy for the situation
that he has, but he has refused to allow is to come and make that application. We had even offered to take the cost of the
caulking strip off the final payment that he purchased. Again,
despite the fact that our representative, Jake, Properly informed Mr. [redacted] of
the potential for leaking if he chose not to install a vertical metal roof.
This notification occurred on November 19th, 2014 the same day he
purchased the walk in door from Jake. Therefore,
All Steel Carports feels that the only solution to collect the $1,500.00 that
is owed to the company is through a legal cause of action.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I did decline to use the anchors provided by ASC, I advised them that I had just put in 17” of new gravel to level the site, if I had used the 30” ground anchors provided by ASC that would have meant that only 13” of their anchors would have been in virgin undisturbed soil, the Anchors that I bought were 48” long and were approved for use by Brian at ASC, please see attached emails. The crew installed three corner ground anchors without incident, on the fourth corner he did hit something in the ground that stopped the ground anchor, of the three Hispanic man crew only one the crew leader spoke very broken English, however his language barrier was very clear when the fourth anchor got stuck he threw his machine on the ground and said no more, I said yes you have to finish installing the anchors, he climbed on the roof, he began working on it, he told me to do it, with that I did not want to continue into an argument with a person who spoke very little English, not being afraid of work I picked up his machine as he said and began to put an anchor in the ground, the anchor hit something and got stuck, the machine which was not wired correctly would not shut off at the switch because it had been bypassed a definite violation of OSHA, the machine spun me a round and I ended up on top of the running machine until one of the crew ran over and unplugged the machine at this point I had enough and called Skip my sales person at all about shedz, Skip responded to my home and talked with the crew leader he still refused to attempt to install anymore ground anchors, Skip called Brian at ASC and the next thing I know the crew leader was installing one of the ASC ground anchors in the last corner which occurred without incident which was fine because in that area I did not have but about six inches of new gravel the rest of the 30” anchors was planted into good virgin compacted dirt. Skip left the site while he was installing that anchor, then the crew leader said no more, I immediately called Brian at ASC he advised me they would finish installing the last two middle anchors before they left the site, they did not install the last two anchors and they left. I called Skip and Brian back they both prommissed the crew would return before they left town and install the last two. I waited until October 12, I then called Skip and Brian back and informed them that the crew never returned, Brian said he would check into the problem and get back in touch, knowing that I Had already been lied to by Brian at ASC I filed a Revdex.com complaintI have three witnesses to the fact that the crew leader said no more you install them, the crew never even attempted to do the two ground anchors in the middle, the crew leader could not possibley know if they could have been installed without incident as the first three anchors went in without incident, because he never tried to install the last two even after I told him to just use the ASC anchors, in my way of thinking those anchors would have been better than no anchors. The Purchasing and use of stronger and longer anchors was approved by Brian at ASC again see attached emails between Skip and ASC as proof I did not go rouge and just order something stronger than the ASC anchors without prior approval. You are right it would not take a 100 trips, it would only require that the crew tried to install the last two middle anchors while they were onsite which they refused to even attempt, even after I told the crew leader to try the ASC anchors like he did for the last corner as the middle only has 10” of fresh gravel that would have put 20” of the ASC anchors into virgin compacted dirt he still refused to try.The building swaying in the wind is a concern to me, however with that said if your engineers have determined that no additional bracing is required to prevent metal fatigue then by all means they are the experts. However I do have a question if three foot braces would have taken the sway out of the carport why were two foot braces used.I am sorry your installation crew and Brian from ASC customer service was not truthful with you at (ASC All Steel Carports), In closing all I want is for the two remaining middle anchors installed and the swaying of the carport stopped.

I have heard nothing but excuses and lame apologies, and I have received NOTHING in the way of resolution. On October 5, I received an email (attached) from Michael B[redacted], Executive Administrative Assistant to the President, in which he lays out specific instructions to be completed by specific people. One instruction is to Melissa, who was instructed to immediately refund my credit card. No refund has been issued! On October 7, I received an email from Brian S[redacted] indicating that he had spoken with the scheduling manager and Michaela, and that the servicemen would be coming to my area by Saturday, October 15. He said that Michaela would be giving me a call to let me know the exact day. Michaela has never called me, and no one showed up to install my door as promised. (email attached)On October 13, I emailed Brian and told him that I had heard nothing regarding installation of my door and asked what happened.. I have had no response since. (email attached)Once again, All Steel Carports has proven they are long on hot air and short on customer service! They have provided no acceptable solution to the problem they created! It has now been over 2 months that they have had my money and I have no product!!!!!!!

In response to Mr [redacted]: All Steel does apologize to the customer that he experienced any delays in the installation of his building. In this case, please note the following information that lead the scheduling delay. The customer was scheduled for installation on Dec 14,...
2017. On Dec 11, the crew called the office to have us call the customer and reschedule his install date because of a wreck in which they were involved. Our customer service representative contacted Mr. [redacted], 3 days before the scheduled install date, to tell him about the accident and tell him that it appeared they would be a day later, but they were going to continue with the schedule for all the customers. The customer acknowledges this conversation in his complaint. Again, 3 days before scheduled to arrive, we call the customer to advise him of the issue. This is a situation that was unfortunate for the contractor but was totally out of our control. That is why it is called an accident. The contractor is only paid IF he installs a building. This cost the contractor time and money as a result of the accident. The contractor worked very hard to catch up on the schedule after the accident and actually got ahead of schedule and determined they could get to the customer on the day he had been originally scheduled. The contractor did not notify the office that they were ahead and they just moved on to the customers building. The customer’s wife, notified the customer that the crew was on site and he gave instructions that they were not to start erecting the building until he arrived. The contractor began removing the materials and doing his reset waiting for the customer to arrive to begin the construction of the building. WHEN THE CUSTOMER ARRIVED HE AGREED to allow them to proceed with the installation of the building, which they did and all parties agree that the building was installed that day.The customer’s signed contract indicates that the ground is to be level or the building will be installed, “as is”. You knew, in advance of the schedule date that your ground was not level, and you notified us that you were provided bricks to use on the installation as you did not want the steel frame touching the ground. However, when the contractor arrived, he found that the ground was more than 10 inches off level. This meant that the contractor would have had to use more than two bricks stacked on each other to level the building correctly. The other option was that the contractor could have cut the legs on the building to help level but you declined because you needed the full 10ft side walls. The customer’s complaint continues that the sheet metal does not go down to cover the bricks which serve as the foundation of his building. At no point did All Steel ever communicate that we were adding metal to cover the brick exposure. All Steel could not have known, prior to arrival, which the site was nearly 1ft off level. We could not have been prepared to add that much metal, even it if were a standard practice, which this is definitely not. The customer purchased a building with 10ft side walls to be covered by metal and we have delivered a building with 10ft side walls covered as contracted. If the customer wanted or needed 11ft we would have gladly sold him 11ft of metal. The claim that All Steel failed to provide sufficient sheet metal to cover two stacked bricks, is not a valid claim against our company. There was no part of the contract which obligated us to cover more than 10ft of side wall. The customer has accused our company of calling him a racist. We are an extremely diversified company of employees and we take GREAT exception to the accusation. It is unfounded and is most definitely unsubstantiated! Every call to and from our company is recorded by computer and every conversation is also recorded. I have listened to all the recorded calls, and at no point did anyone use the word racist. That is a term, self-described by the customer to define himself! To put this in perspective, while the contractor was at the customer’s home waiting for him to arrive, the customer called our office and spoke to our customer service representative and during the call you stated you wanted to tell the contractor how you wanted it installed with the bricks and how they were going to build it, or the deal is off!The representative placed the customer on hold, came back on the line said that we could call the contractor for him to be sure that he clearly understood his instructions. The customer then stated. “Are you paying for the building, or am I? The representative went on to clarify that she could have any information he needed to communicate to be translated if he felt there was a communication problem.Customer replies, “I do not have a problem with people that cannot speak English, workers or whatever you want to call them. I don’t want to cross that line.”The representative replied, “Well sir, you are kind of already crossing that line!”Customer went on to state that he ran a roofing business for 30 years and has had a lot of “illegals” work for him. The All Steel representative stated, “They’re not illegals!” (NOTE: The customer fails in his public complaint to the Revdex.com to acknowledge the recording of his admission of hiring illegals and the assumption that they “are all” illegals!)The Customer service Supervisor overheard our representative’s comments about “illegals” and asked to take over the call. When the supervisor spoke to the customer, she kindly apologized about any language barrier and informed the customer that we require at least one of the crew to speak some English. She also stated we use sub-contractors and that these are not our employees. (Despite the fact that they are subcontractors, they must still prove that they are in the country legally to obtain work.) She reiterated that it was important that we have someone who could speak English that we did with that crew! The customer arrived at his home as he was speaking to the supervisor and she spoke to the contractor OVER THE CUSTOMER”S SPEAKER PHONE and translated what the contractor was trying to say to the customer. The supervisor tells the customer that the contractor said, “The ground was over 10’’ off level and that he would either need to cut the legs or use multiple bricks on top of each other as each brick was only about 1 ½ inches tall. The Customer AGREED to use multiple bricks but wanted bricks under the whole building so the base rails wouldn’t touch the ground and rust. The contractor agreed to do so, at no additional charge to the customer for the extra work. The communication issue was EASILY RESOLVED with the help of our office staff working in conjunction with the customer and the contractor, which we do on a daily/weekly basis, as needed. The complaint further addresses the fact that the contractor put the biodegradable empty concrete bag in the ground when installing supports, before the concrete was poured into the hole. They routinely do this to lessen the trash involved with the build, knowing, the bag will dissolve and that it does not affect the integrity of the supports nor the concrete! If, it were to have been a defective process by allowing the biodegradable bag to be placed in the hole with the concrete, All Steel Carports would have been, AS THEY ARE NOW, responsible for any failure of the supports to work with the building as per your 20 year warranty which the customer purchased! The point being, if the contractor had made an error that was horrific and would cause failure, All Steel would be liable for the failure and would be responsible for the terms of the warranty! The customer has repeatedly been told that he has a warranty from All Steel Carports for 20 years. The fact that he has complained that the “bag” was put in the hole, has not caused us ANY concern about being able to fulfil the warrant on the building, as it is ROUTINELY done as the bag was designed to be biodegradable. The complaint about the bag being inserted into the hole, has been received by our company, it has been responded to with the customer prior to his Revdex.com complaint, and he has been given every assurance that his warranty is not impacted by the action. There is no statement made about the installation of the supports, verbally or in writing, which would have said that adding the bag is not an acceptable means of installation. To the contrary, we have verbally ASSURED the customer that he has the 20 year warranty, which is why he purchased the supports! In the All Steel order system, the order for the customer clearly states, [redacted]20 Year Wind Warranty[redacted].The customer purchased the 10 supports at $75 each to acquire the 20-year wind warranty on this building. The supports were installed by an All Steel contractor! The warranty is valid! We will honor the wind warranty for 20 years! We do PREFER that the supports get installed 3’ into the ground. Sometimes that cannot be achieved based on a number of reasons, such as hard surfaces under the soil, frozen ground, etc. The failure of the contractor to be able to dig an exact 3ft into the soil, DOES NOT affect the 20 year warranty! 1. The Customer purchased the supports required for a 20 year wind warranty2. The All Steel contractor installed the supports as best they could3. The 20 year wind warranty that was purchased IS VALID AND STANDS!All Steel Carports stands on the fact that the CUSTOMER nor ALL STEEL has to do anything further to assure the 20 year wind warranty on this building.
Mr. [redacted] ordered a building from All Steel Carports
from our dealer in Troy, Mo., on Sept 8, 2015. Mr. [redacted]’s installation of his building was
on Oct 7, 2015.At the time of the purchase Mr. [redacted] declined to use the
anchoring system that is provided by All Steel Carports and requested that we
use special anchors that he purchased instead, which were longer in size than
our anchors by 12 inches. The Contractor who installed the building for Mr. [redacted] made
EVERY attempt to install his anchors using the equipment we provide for
installation of our anchoring system. There were to be 6 anchors installed in the building. The contractor was able to install 4 of the
anchors but the remaining two anchors WOULD NOT go into the ground due to
either rock or concrete or some very
hard substance that completely resisted the pressure of our anchoring machine
for this installationMr. [redacted] became very irritated with our crew when they were
unable to install the additional two anchors. When the crew returned to their work to finish the roof, Mr. [redacted] took
possession of the anchoring machine and attempted, ON HIS OWN, to install the
anchors he felt the crew were NOT ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL.As a result, per Mr. [redacted]s letter to you, the machine threw
him around when he attempted to install the anchors that he felt the contractor
should have been able to do so easily. All Steel Carports cannot know when a customer’s ground has
rock surfaces that do not allow for the anchoring to secure to the ground. We realize that the customer may not know
this either, but, per our contract with the customer, the building is installed
AS IS on the ground designated by the customer.Choosing to use an anchoring system outside of the one
provided by All Steel Carports is the customer’s option, however, the customer
assumes the liability for the system of their choice. Even if the customer had opted for the All
Steel Carport anchoring system, we can only install anchors when the ground conditions
allow. We are not obligated to find
solutions for anchoring issues. If, per
say, our anchoring machine were to break down during an installation of our
anchoring system, then All Steel Carports would be liable for the task of
getting a new machine to allow us to install the anchors owed to the
customer! If it took us a couple of days
to do that, and wind blew the building over.. then we would bear responsibility
for that damage as it was OUR RESPONSIBILITY to have the machine to install the
anchors the customer has purchased in our system. The customer chose an alternate anchoring system and our
contractor made every attempt to install the anchors without success. Even the Customer attempted to install the
anchors using our machinery to do so without success. Withstanding a miracle of the Almighty, these
anchors will not go into the ground due to issues with the customer’s ground
situation! 100 trips to the customer’s
location will not solve this problem. It
is not a problem of our equipment, it is not a problem of an inability to do
the work, it is not a problem of not having anchors, it is a FACT that the
ground is too rocky to accept the anchor.Complaining that All Steel Carports can’t bust up the rocky
foundation to anchor his building is not a legitimate or fair complaintDealer Skip spoke to [redacted] and he gave a list. Nothing has changed in the ground since we have been to your
location. The ground has prevented us from installing the Anchors. We can install 3’ braces for any concern of swaying. The
cost of the 3' braces are $100.00 plus the $50.00 return fee. All communications at this point should be in writing.

Mr. [redacted] called saying his roof was leaking, we immediately wrote up a repair to correct the leaking roof by sending another crew...
out. After that he called in and talked to Mitch stating that the water was coming through the base rail and concrete that a third party poured.Mitch did advise Mr. [redacted] of different options we have to help remedy the water coming through the base rail. He also gave him options that he could do his self to help save money on having a contractor come out and do the sealing that would be more cost effective The customer then said he would look in to it and call him back. Then we received this complaint.Once the customer contacts us back regarding the complaint we will go over options to help with the water coming through the base and concrete. In response to Mr. [redacted], We do apologize about the inconvenience of misinformation on the website. We are still working on getting this changed, things like this do take time. Time frames for delivery can get moved up from what someone was previously told. That is why we write it in the contract of the order. “Installation I subject to change” We did try to work with your Monday only install, we had a schedule for a Monday and it was turned down.As for the call recordings they are internal use only for quality and training purposes. A deposit was paid at the time of order. It was paid to the dealer for his time in writing up the order. At this point there would be nothing we can do about refunding the deposit. It does state the deposit is nonrefundable on the contract that you signed at the time of order and the installation is subject to change. Our time frame right now is 6 weeks or sooner. We were within that time frame. Thank you, Brian S[redacted] Customer Care Department / Quality Control Agent All Steel Carports INC. 800-730-7908 765-284-0694 [email protected] Fax: 765-284-2689

We will be sending a crew out asap to look at this problem and come to a resolution.

I response to Mr. [redacted], We have called Mr. [redacted] and were unable to reach him. A voicemail was left for him asking to contact us back regarding his complaint.
