I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Mr [redacted]
During the initial discussion between Brandrep and The [redacted], your company’s sales representative failed to disclose the fact that Brandrep would register the domain name in Brandrep’s name. Also your company delays registration of the url until after the 3 day cancellation period has passed. Your company’s failure to provide transparency relative to this action is highly unethical and is obviously a tactic to discourage the small business owner from ever terminating the service agreement for your product once initiated. In addition when terminating the agreement, the Brandrep representative quoted a sales price for the url in question that represented a substantial mark up (1000%) over the normal cost to register the domain. These actions combined, by definition, do in fact constitute a violation of the Uniform Domain Dispute Resolution Policy regardless of your company’s position on the matter.
As for other examples of questionable tactics used by your company, we can provide you an email where your representative requested our User Login credentials to access the Google+ site for The [redacted]. When we informed them that providing such information to a vendor was against company policy and requested more information along with steps for what “needed to be done” to the Google+ site, they never replied. Your company’s representatives also created multiple directory listings for The [redacted] and in doing so never once provided the User Login credentials for these listings to us. We have taken control of the aforementioned listings that we felt were important and have corrected the misinformation in the listings.
Based on these events, The [redacted] felt obligated to file complaints with various entities in an effort to warn other small business owners about your company, your company’s services, and unscrupulous tactics.
To put it nicely, your company’s services are suboptimal and provided no benefit what so ever at a substantial cost therefore we terminated the agreement. In conjunction with the termination of the Brandrep agreement, we have redefined the web presence for The [redacted] via a new url, a new web site and ongoing viral marketing campaign. Since that time, we have observed a steady increase in retail sales directly attributed to the new web presence.
If Brandrep feels the need to provide another local business, specifically a competitor of The [redacted], with the url you mentioned and your company’s suboptimal services along with substantial expense, then by all means please do so.
Good day sir.

I am a current customer of BrandRep since they are refusing to refund my money and as a current customer I am going to reveal all that I have learned of this company. The claims that they make are misleading. Here's why. They tell you that they will help you be found on Google and two key words are guaranteed to get "you" found on the front page of Google. What they don't tell you is that "you" is not your website, but your name. So "you" are not receiving anything. They are creating a website that "shadows" your information and they have full ownership of that website. They can make money off of your shadow website, sell banners to your competitors to be placed right beside your information, after all, you don't own it. They will put a link to your website if you are paying them enough, but your phone number will surely be there. This way they make money off of web traffic and you make money on a possible sale. So after paying them thousands and your website has seen NO traffic because they are "grabbing" your currently clients and having them go to their website, you will be asked to "pay" for your "Shadow Website" at the going rate. Now, does this sound like someone you should trust? They just became your number one online competitor, using your keywords and your photos and your logos and your Google verification...that's right, Google does not know you are linked to YOUR website. That is why they ask you "not to follow the instructions on the verification postcard from Google when it arrives", but to call them.
I would love it if a representative of the Revdex.com investigated this further. I am not expert by I am pretty sure this bait and switch is illegal. Set aside a few hours, these guys will re-direct the conversation time and again. Might want a representative with a law background to make that call. And they do not put anything in writing. Everything I just told you came from a verbal conversation, despite my attempts via email.

BrandRep, Inc.

We have come to a resolution with the client. A full refund was issued to meet the clients terms.

Hello [redacted],
I apologize for the confusion. Again, we purchased the domain name as a part of our Local SEO service. We also created a free website for you as a part of our Local SEO service. The domain we purchased hosted the site we created. We have no contractual obligation to supply you with a transfer of the domain name.
We would however be willing to sell you the domain name, www.[redacted], for $395.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration,

Business owner,
As stated in your reply: "
I deserve to have my money returned to me - not for all 90 days but for the amount after the 90 day trial.
Since you feel this way, and or you misunderstood our month to month agreement after 90 days, we would be glad to accommodate your request and come to a resolution.

Hello [redacted],
I apologize for the frustration that you are experiencing. It seems that you are having difficulty determining what you have paid for while being a client of BrandRep's. As the manager of this department, I take full responsibility for your experience thus far. As you probably have...

already done your research on Local SEO, being an astute business owner, you have learned that SEO is a long-term, online marketing strategy.
1. The first step was the verification, syndication, and optimization of your Google Plus profile, or your Google business listing, found here: [redacted]about.
2. The next step was to create multiple avenues where your business information can be found, through Local Directories. When you started with us, you had 13 local directory profiles. We created an additional 11 directory profiles. You now have a total of 24 Local Directory Profiles. All of which can be seen through your Customer Dashboard Interface (CDI) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The login information was given to you at the time you first enrolled in July of 2014.
3. The third major component was your secondary website, or your SEO Site, as itemized on your signed e-agreement: [redacted].
The synthesis of these strategies produces a strong online presence. With recent changes to Google's Algorithm, a.k.a. The Penguin Update, ranking reports for Local SEO are very difficult to produce. Measurable results through Local SEO can best be quantified through what are called Google "Insights". Attached is a screenshot of your Google Insights over the course of the last 90 days (you have been with us for 110 days). Your Google business listing has been viewed 1,743 times in the last 90 days; this is the business listing we created, verified, and optimized. That is online exposure that you didn't have prior to working with us.
It is very disappointing that you referred to us as some sort of "scheme". That is certainly not the case. In fact, regardless of how well your visibility is developing on Google, we still have honored our Guarantee and your billing has been suspended until a ranking report is produced throughout all of San Jose for at least 2 search terms.
We understand that online marketing is confusing, especially when you don't specialize in it. It is clear that I have fallen short in making sure that you understood the service that you purchased. I see that you spoke with a supervisor on Friday, October 31st. The matter seems to have been resolved and I believe with both the phone call on Friday and my explanation of service, that the mechanics of the service are much more clear to you. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to give us a call.
Thank you very much for your time,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  However, this does not help others who may be victims of their mis-representation of their role representing Google. However I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Rude salesman, extremely pushy, not selling a real service. If you are not google you cannot put me on the first page of google. All of these services are scams and this reflects very poorly on the Revdex.com that this company is accredited with you and has not one single positive review and you somehow give them a 3.6star ratting. Do you even check in to this at all? Seriously 20 negative feedbacks explaining this business is a scam and you haven't checked in to them or down right removed them? How much do I have to pay the Revdex.com to get my business a perfect rating because it clearly isn't based on customers experiences.

Hello Business owner,

After reviewing your account, we see you signed up with our directory plan and continued for 3 months (commitment period).  Our agreement doesn't state that we will provide a full refund if you are unsatisfied with the service provided....

After your 3 months were up, you had the option to suspend your account which you chose to do,  In the short time with us we were able to help verify your Google business listing (STILL LIVE) and set you up with many directories that are still current to date.  I see you requesting 4 months of payments when you were only with us for 3 months, must be a misunderstanding.  Give us a call I'm sure we can bring some light to your campaign.
Thank you,

Terrible experience with Brand Rep, we were contacted several times by this company saying they were Google and wanted to talk to us about a google website, after several conversations with them not once did they disclose who they were. After deciding to purchase (under the assumption they were Google) they took credit card information over the phone and said it was a trial period of 3 months, we now knew we were not dealing with Google because we got our credit card statement telling us otherwise, so we decided we would still do the trial period. After paying $300.00 per month and not receiving one lead or any feedback from the company, we cancelled and then were told we would be charged a 299.00 cancellation fee!! How do you have a trial period then charge a cancellation fee!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. As you proclaim good news on my account,  there is no proof on my end when I or others search for my business. For not charging that is not true since when I spoke to you last saying you wouldn't charge unless I was on the first page.  You still charged me. You try and prove it with pictures only from your company.  When I can't even find myself on the first 10 pages. I wish to cancel and be refunded my money.  Just like you should for so many other people on [redacted].

This is by far the worst SEO/Marketing company I have ever dealt with. I might as well have done the SEO and marketing myself because that's about the service I got. I was assigned a "Marketing Specialist" that never communicated with me unless I sent an email asking for an update. Later, I find out my specialist no longer worked at the company, but nobody bothered to tell me. To top everything off, my name was even spelt wrong in the content that was written on my Google+ page that I asked them to change MULTIPLE times with no success! I have documented emails and correspondence to provide proof. I want a full refund for the months I paid for because this was by far the worst experience and company I've ever dealt with. I would not recommend using them for anything!

My review of this company would be a F- I paid them upfront for a 1 year advertising program to put my business on the front pages of Google. We went the entire year and my business was never put on the front page of Google and the best I could find anywhere was a 3rd page listing that did not represent what my busuness is all about. Finally they told me that we will not bill for you for the 2nd year since your advertising was not listed. Well we went another year the 2nd year and it ran out and I have NEVER been listed on the front page of Google yet. I am very disappointed in this company, I was lied to and deceived in everyway possible. I have saved the email conversations from this company to prove all their lies. I just want to say that My recommendation would be to stay away from this company because they will take your money and never deliver the services.
