Home Depot installed windows in my house in October and promised they would return within weeks to install the missing plugs that did not come with the windows and to replace the defective window from the factory that had a black blemish on it between the glass I have now been ignored for over months and they will not come out to complete the job Every time I call they act like it is the first time they have heard any of this I have called and sent multiple emails to the regional and divisional managers with no response from them at all on getting the job completed

We were going to have flooring installed We paid $to Home Depot to have a measuring service come out We informed the Home Depot employee at the time that we had a pretty high spot in the concrete floor We were told that as long as it was within tolerance it was fine and they (the installation company that Home Depot uses) could level the floor We were not informed what "within tolerance" was although we expressed ours was bad The flooring we were considering was a laminate The installation was listed at $per square foot
The next week the measuring service came out and spent two hours doing their thing The gentleman from the service mentioned vinyl flooring which we had not considered so we went back to the store just to look While we didn't care for the vinyl flooring we found some bamboo flooring on clearance that we loved We were told that in order to get it at that price and to ensure we had enough for our project we would have to take it that evening We purchased cases which was about pounds We commented to the workers that were helping us in the department that this deal was saving us a lot of money by getting this flooring on clearance with the special on the installation of $per square foot; everybody agreed! We had also mentioned that we were just waiting for the information to come back from the measuring company with specifics so we could schedule installation We took the flooring home and unloaded it into our home ourselves, all pounds of it
The next day the measuring company called back and indicated that the flooring was not coming up in their system because it was a clearance item so we needed to go into the store to get the specifics We were also informed by the measuring company that they believed there was a difference in the price regarding the installation for the bamboo compared to the laminate, to which we insisted there was not
We returned to the store and immediately went to the aisle We retrieved a department employee and explained to her what was transpiring (the measuring company said we had to come to the store to get the specifics regarding the measurements and pricing and that they said there may be a difference in the installation price between the bamboo and the laminate) We showed her that the sign near the bamboo was the same as the signs near the laminate which said $for installation She proceeded to the sign by the bamboo and pulled back a sign that was covering the top portion of the sign we were looking at Once she pulled back the top one it was clear that the bottom one said $for installation It was covered up and because no price was visible it led us, and I am quite sure most people in the aisle to believe that the bamboo installation sign said the $like all the rest of them in the aisle that were the same size and color It was deceptive! Furthermore, nobody ever indicated the night before when we purchased the bamboo and were talking about the installation and savings that there was a difference in the price of the installation for bamboo compared to laminate
Then things went from bad to worse The lady then informed us that not only was the price of the installation $per square foot instead of $.89, but that they do not (or I should say their installers do not) install flooring that is bought at a clearance price We were never informed of that the night before when we purchased the bamboo flooring that was on clearance or while discussing the measuring service or upcoming installation
Backed into a corner with no alternative, we discussed the return of the bamboo flooring and going with the laminate at $per square foot A different worker was brought into the situation and he pulled out a book and compared something in the book that was under the desk to what he was looking at on line from the measuring company We got kicked again Now we were told that regardless of what we purchased they (or their installers) could not install it because our floor was not within 1/inch tolerance This information had been available to them the entire time and never relayed to us We were out $plus the time spent with the measuring company, looking at products, purchasing the bamboo, time on the phone and then in the store about the installation price and the signs and all our time and effort loading, transporting and unloading pounds of flooring
There is no excuse for what transpired in this situation I feel misled, deceived and taken advantage of Nobody spoke up about the tolerances of the high spots, nobody spoke up about a difference in installation prices and nobody spoke up about installation of clearance items And, the deceptive signage was still hanging just as it was The $was covered up on the sign by the bamboo but the signs everywhere else that said $were all visible (it was the price that was covered)
I will not trust them again

I would not recommend this companyI purchased a door on 10/5/16, kept in contact through the building process, as I need delivery by 11/4/On 10/28/I was told the door would be delivered to the delivery company on 11/1/and they would contact me for deliveryI was contacted later that same day by the delivery company and told my door would be delivered 11/4/and I would need to be there to signToday is 11/4/and at 1:I still had not heard from the delivery companyI called *** and was told they had me scheduled for delivery and gave me a phone number to callThey said nobody had answered when they tried but to give it an hour and keep trying them, to get a delivery timeI said that was unacceptable and told them to look into my delivery, get the requested information and call me backI received a phone call hours later from a manager telling me my door would not be delivered, as it was damaged in transit to the delivery company days agoExcuse me, your rep just told me it was out for deliveryThe *** rep then went on to blame everything on the third party delivery company which I could not believe*** damaged the door in transit and *** neglected to inform their customer, not the delivery companyI am now informed the replacement parts will hopefully arrive in two weeks, the door will then be repaired and then deliveredBecause *** neglected to call me and explain the issue, I will now have to take a different day off work to accept delivery and am out $My $door has now cost me $I posted to the Home Depot facebook page and was asked to send them all of my information, so they could look into the matterI posted to the *** facebook page and was told they would review the recorded phone callsI replied back, saying that'd be great and to make sure the reviewed the calls from October as wellNeither company has since responded back

I was one of the unfortunate when my credit was breached because of Home Depot's lack of computer security We had to establish new accounts, new debit and credit cards were issued and we felt completely violated Not at any time has Home Depot reached out to their consumers or promoted new security measures Recently, after a return transaction, their employee retained my driver's license I should have doubled check, however, went on my way to continue shopping at the store There was never any attempt to page me to return to customer service, to maybe even pursue me on foot after leaving the counter After numerous times contacting them, they continued to deny they had my driver's license They insisted I must have lost my license and to check my purse, vehicle, etcONLY upon my return to the store to directly confront the employees at the customer service desk, upon threat of calling police did they "magically" find my license CONSUMER BEWARE!

I attempted to to order a washing machine from Home DepotThey never showed up for delivery, never called and then claimed they lost the applianceNo one from their customer service department has been helpfulI cannot even file a complaint with Revdex.com because in the complaint form I can only specify stores in states other than mine
Here is one of my emails to home depot:
- I placed an order and got a delivery date
- NO ONE CALLED ME THE DAY BEFORE THE DELIVERY DAY
- The driver called me at 12:50pm to tell me that he will be here in minutesThat would be 1:30pm
- I had to call at 2:10pmI had to remind him who I wasHe tells me he has the paperwork but no appliance
- I start calling home depot customer serviceAT NO POINT IN TIME ANYONE FROM HOME DEPOT CALLED ME TO FOLLOW UP
- I spent hours on that phone that dayAt one point in time, I was actually transferred to a Samsung rep who told me that I was not supposed to be transferred to her, but in any case they already shipped the appliance to Home Depot warehouse
- Eventually at the end of the day I am told they will open an investigation at the warehouse to find out where the appliance is and that it will take 48-hours to completeThis was Tuesday by the wayThe last rep was unable to contact anyone at the delivery company at 4pmNo one was returning his calls
- I called again and emailed the next day
- I got an email from the online support team on Friday that I contacted separately telling me that I SHOULD CALL Monday
- I called today MONDAY which was days later or hours laterWhere was that hour promise on the investigation? The investigation was never brought upNo result was revealed to meI was told the appliance is out of stock and if I want it I need to wait until January
- At this point I have to give up and realize that the customer service reps are not training to know what to do if the process deviates from the scriptThe appliance was lost somewhere but no one acknowledged thatNO ONE EVER BOTHERED TO GIVE ME THE CUSTOMER A CALL
That was weeks agoI am still trying to get a refund for an order that was never deliveredNow they claim that their vendor needs to scan the appliance back in their systemBut I was told the appliance was lost

Tried to make a return but did not have my receipt and return was denied Home Depot *** in that aspect I wasn't looking to get cash back a store credit would have been fine which I'm going to spend the money at their store anyway again *** I think I will just start shopping at ***

Internal Process? I submitted a payment for a door on PayPal when I ordered itBecause it took so long to get the door to the store where I was picking it up, the payment went into unauthorized because of the time framePaypal does not offer the ability to "reauthorize" the paymentHome Depot would not let me pay for the door at the store level and told me the only way was to give them a credit card # over the phone(always a bad idea)I questioned why they could not just resubmit the invoice to paypla for me to pay or allow me to pay the storeThe middle manager Scott at resolutions told me that was the only way to pay or I would have to let the store return the door and reorder itI already waited over a month for the doorHow ridiculous is that? I was on the phone for over an hourWhat a waste of resources and time.I will second guess ordering online from Home Depot in the future

I purchased a refrigerator with a year "protection plan" from Home Depot approximately years ago The refrigerator was cooling fine but making a loud noise so I contacted the plan and has a service person come out The person that came worked for ** the manufacturer of my refrigerator He replaced the blow motor (I think thats what he called it) on November 23rd On Thanksgiving morning we opened our fridge to find a diet coke had exploded inside was a mess to say the least All of our food was frozen and we spent hours cleaning the refrigerator and through away most of our food on Thanksgiving day The next day I spent hours on the phone with Home Depot and was told the soonest they could have someone out was on Tuesday the 29th days without a refrigerator On the 29th the same ** service person came and to make a really long story short had to order a part and will not be back until December 6th and the reason is because he installed the WRONG part for my refrigerator and they don't have availability before that It's not my fault, it is theirs and they made effort to go above and beyond and take care of us The store manager offered a mediocre temporary refrigerator that I do not have space for, I told them to take this refrigerator and bring the temporary one and they refused Talking about rules and regulations that I couldn't care less about as this wasn't a flaw of the refrigerator it was THEIR service person that THEY sent that installed the wrong partWhat's left? A family our four that can't even crack and egg, make a sandwich or eat cereal Home Depot couldn't care less!

Stay away from this placeWe've purchased asphalt patch that had mold in it, then contracted with Home Depot to replace our roof for $8,with specified structural repairs that were not doneThe contractors looked like homeless people and took days to repair the roof to intentionally run up the labor chargesThe starter shingles were put on backwards, the vinyl siding torn off and the yard wreckedThey dropped the shingles so hard on the roof that some of the structural beams were brokenThe ceiling is caving in and given South Carolina was just flooded, now we have major water damageNew boards were purchased to go underneath the shingles that were not even put on the house, instead, they covered the old ones and stole the materials that we paid forThe attic is a disaster and what is stored is damagedNow the entire roof, vinyl siding and parts of the ceiling have to be replacedPlease, take your business elsewhere

Had a good experience with a employee in Home Depot, Barrie O*** The mans name "Gunars" was the operator on the panel cutting machine He was very cooperative, polite and cut the material perfectly Very pleased that he took the task on with a smileThanks

Home Depot should advertise that tthey offer a military discount on certain items of your purchase (the lower priced items ) unlike their biggest competitor *** who offers a 10,% discount off your entire purchase

Certified Flooring was the installer for floors we purchased through Home Depot We feel we received poor customer service when we reported problems with the floor It took over months to put our home back together again We feel there was a complete lack of communication and no urgency to resolve our issues Certified Flooring provided so many different answers from their "so called" experts who didn't even agree with each other It is unknown if our flooring issues are over, but our relationship with Certified Flooring is over If we have any issues in the future we will reach out to an accredited Revdex.com company We spoke with Certified Flooring's management and Home Depot's management who assured us this is not a common occurrence yet our record shows we had one ball dropped after another and there was a complete lack of communication and commitment throughout the repair We also opened a case with Home Depot's Corporate Customer Care area which has failed to even produce a formal written apology We are so far into our one year guarantee with Home Depot that the guarantee is considered worthlessHome Depot Headquarters opened Case# *** and only escalated it to a Regional Manager for review after fierce discussion I thought Home Depot was in my ball court with this flooring installer and that I would remain a Home Depot customer but the bad experience and poor customer service has made me no longer a Home Depot customer I will tell my neighbors My only good comment: the person at the Home Depot store that I worked with to schedule the installation was amazing

I have dealt with The Heat Depot twice in Colorado Springs Both times the service and workmanship was excellent The workers were very knowledgeable, courteous and respectful I highly recommend this company

We finalized our order of our kitchen cabinets and countertops from the Home Depot in AugustOur cabinets were supposed to be installed on October 6th and 7th and the countertops by October 21stOnly part of our cabinet order arrived and we were not informed until the day of the installWe had to wait until October 31st for the rest to arrive and still one door was missingThe cabinets were not level and the wrong valance was installedThe countertops that arrived were the wrong size and shape and were chippedThere were several other errors and delays which resulted in our cabinets being completely installed and finally matching the design that we chose three months lateThe Home Depot did not meet any of the conditions on the contract that they signed with us and the companies they subcontracted and the initial cabinet installer they provided were incompetent and unprofessionalThey were rushed and non apologetic for their mistakesCommunication with staff at the store was difficult as you were passed from one person to the other and the Customer Care team at the Head Office was of no help whatsoeverThe delays we experienced with the Home Depot set back all other aspects of our renovation such as the electrical, dry walling and the backsplash tilingThe entire renovation was a completely frustrating and disappointing experienceAlthough they did eventually correct some of the errors they made, no compensation was ever offered and no follow up from the store was ever doneWe could not recommend them to anyone considering using this company for any work on their home

Ordered washer/dryer pair and set up deliveryOn day of delivery, they called minAhead to confirm I would be here to accept deliveryI reviewed my address and directions to the property and gate code informationminutes later the delivery man called and they were at a home we lived in six years ago It's only miles from my "new" address but they could not reroute without authorization from local store and they didn't have that number
After an hour conversation with store manager it was clear they could not correct their error
I gave my current address for delivery at the time of purchase but apparently the old address was still in system
I was told I should have checked the fine print for errors!!!
I cancelled the order and requested a refund min later, manager called back to tell me that since I'd paid with a debit card, I would have to physically go to the store to swipe the card to get the electronic refund It's been six days, funds are in Home Depot account!!
Once I get my refund, I will never do business with this lame "organization" again

I expected to be able to return a fridge which did not look appropriate in my house three days after it was delivered I was told by the Watertown MA Home depot manager, Ian, that he could refuse any return for any reason He says his store refuses all appliance returns, "No Exceptions."
I am now stuck with an oversized $1,Fridge
Beware

I ordered a new range from Home Depot and it was delivered 12/6/When it was taken off the truck it looked like someone kicked in the sideWe were told we would get a call with 24-hours and a new range would be delivered..nopeI called times to arrange a new stoveI was told I needed to call the manufacturer of the range?? Not sure why I would need to do that since I ordered from Home Depot??Then we cancelled because of lack of response and we needed a stove for our tenantWe were told we would have a refund within days...it has been almost weeks and still no refund..I have sent emails with no response and made several phone callsI will never do business with this company and I will make sure everyone knows about them too...they are the most unprofessional company I have ever done business with!

two years ago we had our kitchen redone by Home depot first thing you think home depot doing the work but no they aint they have another company do it well first thing the salesman would not give us a price unless we sign papers then they come out to do the work well the drawers were to small so they had to order new ones and the doors on the cabinets were wrong well they had to order new ones that took about two weeks well they bring out the counter tops the one that goes on the sink it was bad one week it starts to bubble up so they take it out to be fixed well hours later they bring it back it lasted weeks and it bubbled up again one other thing they bring in theese big boxes full of drawers and doors well two days later we start seeing theese bugs I catch some and have them checked out well they wind up being warehouse beeatles we show them to the installer he says they did not bring them I find out later the boxes was in a warehouse for over a month they were all over the house we had a hard time getting them gone do you think home depot would help hell no so why all this is going on the installer said he was going to get in trouble and ask us to sign papers so he would not get in trouble well we signed now it has been four weeks and still aint done well the installer had to build the drawers him self finaly we had our kitchen back but to this day they still is not done so we call last November and talk to a lady and she gave our information to the head man well he calls and tell us to talk to this man well this man comes out and says he would get in contact with the installer he comes out and said he would fix the problems we have so it is now December and no installer so we call again and talk to a lady we tell her everything and she says the head guy is on vacation and will not be back until January the fifth she said she would have him call you when he gets back well his as never calls back all of this started in and still not finished if I could of turned back the clock I wish I never would of signed those dam papers do not use this company

I purchased lumber from Home Depot in July and submitted two rebate forms for their 11% rebate match I quickly received the smaller one for $but never received the one for $I have called the rebate number many times and each time am told it has been processed and I should received it in 10-days I wait a month and call again and am told that it has been processed and I should get in 10-days This has been going on for months I finally went to the Home Depot store 12-and had them call the rebate department They were told the rebate was mailed on 12-but it was sent to the wrong address so they would need to issue a new card which they would expedite and I could get it in 7-days, no longer than days Today I went down to the Home Depot and spoke to a store manager He called and was told the card was sent 12-and they would have to reissue another one and it would be 10-days AGAIN Evidently they did not process a card on 12-like they said they would I am tired of being lied to and jerked around I will not purchase material from Home Depot for a large project anymore
