I have a capital one unsecured credit card and have paid my payments on time and always more than the minimum due since I had the card 4/I recently requested a credit line increase days ago and I was denied because of a returned payment back in JuneNow, I called in reference to this back in June before the payment was even returned and spoke with a representative while also placing through another payment for (min due is only 25.00) The rep told me that there would be NO issues with my account and NOT TO WORRYNow I received my denial letter today for an increase and the reasoning was because of the returned payment in June that I called and resolved in June and was informed I had nothing to worry aboutI have also been requesting a credit increase on my secured credit card that I received in March and have been using it faithfully paying on time as well and I have yet to receive and increase for that card eitherIt gives you an option to request an increase for the secured card but it's ALWAYS denied and the reason is because you are not allowed to make a request for increase on a secured credit cardWHAT'S THE POINT IN TELLING ME TO REQUEST IT IF IT'S GOING TO BE DENIED ANYWAY??? Every rep I have spoken to has told me to do that, but it's a waste of timeNo one can ever tell me when I will be able to even be considered for an increase on this cardIt's ridiculous, I picked banking with capital one for a reason and this has definitely made me REGRET choosing them

I am a long time holder of a Capital One Credit Card. Recently I found a 141.97 charge to my card by [redacted] Magazine. Upon calling the magazine vendor they claimed that I agreed to an automatic renewal as part of my previous subscription. I am sure buried in the endless fine print they likely had this self-serving clause. Since my last renewal of the magazine, my credit card number has changed twice due to the rampant fraud the industry has to cope with. What I find disturbing is that Capital One allowed [redacted] Magazine to get my NEW credit card number without notifying me! I feel they failed to provide a basic fiduciary relationship with me and apparently choose to prioritize the interest of a magazine vendor over our long term financial relationship. I wonder how many of these charges go through without credit card holders knowledge? I also wonder if this is standard operation procedures within this segment of the financial service industry and if indeed the problem is systemic? Is it possible to find a credit card company who will protect my interest? My experiences with Capital One have been positive until I discovered this policy. Thank-you for your time.

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Their letter offers no legitimate explanation for their routine policy of holding the deposits of new customers hostage for business days (and business days for established customers) These are inordinate delays, and impossible to justify as all the necessary verifications happen electronically within seconds, and certainly within a day or two Just for comparison, [redacted] ***, which offers very similar on-line banking, makes deposits available within 2-days maximum, and usually within day according to their representativeCapital One claims that one of the reasons for their delay is that they "take security very seriously" But during the more than two calendar weeks that elapsed from when they received my deposit until they actually allowed me to withdraw it again, they requested no additional information from me to verify my identity, and their claim, therefore, that these two weeks were needed for security purposes is ludicrous Compare this with credit card companies which issue cards (i.eessentially lend money) to new customers instantly based on an online application, and you can see that it is absurd that Capital One is claiming that there would have been some security risk involved in giving me my own money back! So me and my wife are on the auto loan for capital one, and she had to file chapter bankruptcyAs she is doing this payments are STILL being made to capital oneAfter my wife is told by the attorney that she needs to file the chapter instead she has the chapter closedDuring the process the attorney says to continue making FULL payments to capital one to which we wereNo notice not even a call was given and capital one had MY car repossessed! I'm the one who works hard AND pays my paymentsIn the process of three major phone calls threw capital one we are only told we have days to come up with $and whatever the repo lot daily charges there are to get the car backToday the second day I went to get my possessions and was told that the car does not even stay on lot for the whole days! In fact today is Thursday and I'm in Va and he tells me more than likely it will be sent to NC on Monday DAY 5!!!!!! For auto auction prep! I have contacted my attorney and he did warn me of shady company's and capital one from multi sources is WELL known to be the shady type of company!!! Businesses like this should NOT be allowed around! Something needs to be done pronto to stop this company from praying on innocent people!!!!
