I dropped my car off for an interior detail at Beaverton Car ToysTheir staff did a walk around and marked off pre-existing damage (nothing but minor scratches in the paint around the doors) The store manager Renee helped us choose to purchase another Groupon and get an exterior detail as well When I arrived to pick up my car I noticed a huge crack in my moonroof There is a huge full length crack in my moonroof plus clear impact damage on the front of the moonroof They say they will file a damage claim with corporate I call to follow up two business days later and am transferred to the store manger He tells me corporate has denied the claim stating it was from a rock I say, how do they know it’s from a rock? They won’t let me see the video footage they say they have the claim is denied The regional manager is out for weeks

I had an Intoxalock installed in my carBesides taking a day longer than I was told, upon picking my car up there were razor blades in the car, all my car settings were changed, and my car showed miles less on the trip computerI also noticed multiple scratches on my front side windows tintThe manager completely denies any wrongdoing

Car Toys Claims Lifetime install warranty and I am stating this is not the truth

I went to cartoys to get a better protection for my beloved pride and joy (my car)Less then a year prior I went to cartoys to research car alarms and they said that the alarm Clifford 3706x was the best one for the priceThey advertised it as it letting you know when someone hits or bumps your car letting you know on the way pager and also alarm sirens going offI was going on vacation for weeksUnaware and surprised that a big company of there will ever over advertise one of there products I thought it would be a good choice and I was going to have peace of mind that my vehicle would be protectedweek after getting the alarm my brother calls me and says athe alarm is not doing what it’s supposed to and that it keeps having alarms and going off at random timesIt eventually drained my battery causing my car not to startI called cartoys and explained what was going on and that I was out on vacationThey never told me there was a 30day time frame to return a product

Vehicle Backup Camera Kit purchased.(Christmas Present)Additional purchase/ Extended Warranty purchased extra on both components(Mirror Monitor & Backup Camera).Car Toy'S Store Manager told me that installation by my Husband would not affect the warranty(He is a retired vehicle technician,Shop Foreman,Dealership Service Manager,FedEx Vehicle Fleet manager).The Unit has failedIt started out with an occasional upside down image,progressing to a Fuzzy Image, no image at allHe has visited store on his own only to be told the registered owner (ME) would have to come inLast Sunday we both visited store againFirst thing we were asked if they installed the unitanswer noThey started laughing and said the warranty is void if it was not installed by them."This has to be professionally installed!" was their answerThe young man there was extremely cocky and rude !! I rate this north store stars only because they sold me a Sony Marine Radio at a decent priceI also purchased a face plate kit and a steering wheel kit, this was all for my Ultra Classic Harley DavidsonThey told me when they sold me these things that this would be pretty much a plug and play installI have my bike torn down down for painting and wanted to upgrade the radio with something better
Several of my tech savvy friends came over to assist me with the install about a month after I made the purchase Installation of the radio was pretty basic but I was somewhat dismayed to find we had to match wires and solder themThis was done as per the instructions and plugged into the stock plug with the Axxess ASWC-Steering Wheel Control AdapterThe instructions state no programing needed, the system with detect the bike and radio and the handlebar controls will work, NOT !
After days of attempting to program the Axxess ASWC-Steering Wheel Control Adapter per the instructions, I returned to Car Toys to see if I brought my bike in (which is in pieces) would they be able to fix the programming issue? Car Toys told me it must be a wiring error and if I wanted to bring the bike into the store, for $they would make it work correctlyI told them the entire kit was installed I only needed assistance with getting the controls on the handle bars corrected or programmedOnce again I was told $because they offer a lifetime warranty on their work
So the way I take this is, no matter that I did the complete install, Car Toys will not stand up and assist without making that all powerful dollarNow I totally understand the install fee, but I do not need to install the unit, only assistanceA small assistance fee would have been totally acceptable to me, but no, $for a complete job
This is only injury added to insult from this staffWhen I went into purchase these items, a conversation came up among the employees in reference to police officersThe remarks made were VERY derogatory, and insulting in regards to law enforcementThen, when I returned for assistance the employee I was talking to started making references between Harley riders and sport bike riders and why sport bike riders were betterThese employees have a job to serve customers, not impose their beliefs and thoughts on usI don't care if they like cops or dislike Harley riders, telling me or discussing these things while on the job is not why they are there

This is more less an update from my previous posts on Car Toys
AS I told you I purchased a Sony Radio, a mounting kit to mount this into my Harley Davidson, and an AXXESS plug and play so my handlebar controls would still workCar Toys recommended this total package for my Harley
The Sony radio was mounted with no issues, connecting wires to speakers and powerThe AXXESS was install easily enough, however, to this date, have never been able to make it workTwo phone calls and four trips to the Car Toys where I purchased this radio and I get a different answer or "how to solve this issue" every time I made contact with them
Now I write my review here on Yelp, Car Toys requests I send them my contact information if I would like contact, I did this and I have never heard from Car Toys
This past Sunday I go online and purchased a Biketronics module that is supposed to be the same thing as the AXXESSWhen it arrives we will see if it is a plug and play or if I am just not an installer of stereo equipmentWould anyone like to buy a AXXESS steering wheel control? Seems I have one that requires more smarts than I have for installing, and I attempted to make it work for over days so I can not return it to Car Toys for a refund

Here is my next updateYesterday at about 1130am I received a call from a male person who said he was with Car Toys and wanted to help me resolve my issue with Car ToysEven though I was at work and somewhat busy, I took the minutes we talked to attempt to get this issue kind of fixed
The man, if he told me his name I have forgotten, asked me what could be done to make this rightI told him about the only thing I could see would be to take back the steering wheel control I had bought over a month ago and refund my moneyHe agreed to do this and I asked him to send me an e-mail stating this so I could take the part back for my refund and would not be given the 3rd degree from the store employeesHe agreed to do this as wellI even verified he had my e-mail address and he did!
Now during this approximately minute conversation we discussed my original purchase, and each of my return trips to the store when I discovered the part was not actually a plug and play as I had been toldI explained to this young man how I was told something different every time I went in, from being told to pay $125.00, how I had asked to bring the bike in on a trailer and was told okay for $125.00, how a tech told us to ground a certain wire
Bottom line on my conversation with the representative for Car ToysHe agreed to refund my money for the single part, he agreed to write me a letter instructing the store to refund me this money so I would have no issues, he verified he had my correct e-mail address

Just a short update from my 06/18/update
I have NOT received any type of letter from Car Toys advising the local store to refund my money on a product which would not workMy next stop, write the Revdex.com on this store as well as Car Toys as a while

I purchased a Pioneer Stereo including installation less than a year agoThe unit started having reception issues Fuzzy FM and non-existant AMI brought it in for diagnosisI was told that Pioneer would have to be notified, they would respond with action required, and I would be notified in a few days -I agreed to wait for their responseI heard nothing from Car Toys and went back to the store a week laterSame Guy I talked with looked things up and ultimately said Pioneer never got the Car toys requestHe proceeded to type in a new request that was apparently re-sent while I waited - again I should be contacted in a few daysAnother week elapsed - nothing from Car Toys I made Phone Contact with a rep and he was apparently slammed and Asked for my number and he would call back - again no call back from Car Toys - after a few more days I went back to the storeThey looked in their system and apparently heard back and I was told that Pioneer stated the Unit should be returned, se

I purchased a new radio with installation which included a promotional free backup cameraThe fee to install the radio and camera were disclosed to meThe fee to install the Sirius XM portion of the radio was not disclosed which was an additional $I was charged $for the "free" cameraI was charged $to install the camera rather than the quoted $I was not provided the rebate paperwork for the radio $or the Sirius XM radio $Overall, I was overcharged $in quoted pricing, and I suffered a $loss from rebate paperwork not being includedIt took hours to install the product, but I waited an additional mins in the store once it was done because no one told me the work was completed even though I was the only person sitting in the store waiting areaI noticed the vehicle, and I had to ask if the work was completedNo one would show me how to use the new radio I had installed, and no one would assist me with connecting my iPhone with the Apple Pla

Went to car toys in the middle of august to have my car detailed, the detail work they provided was not professionalI was promised a removal of my stains and complete interior detail workMy stains were not taken out and almost no detail work was provided as if my car had been sitting in the parking lotI complained to the manager about the service provided and was promised that if I brought it back in, that they would take the time to redo the entire jobI brought my car back a week later, I had to argue with one of the employees about the work that was going to be redone He tried to tell me that they were only going to do a partial job on the seats and flooring and not the entire interior job and that I had already been discounted for the original job even though I was promised I would be taken care of Eventually the manager came out and said they would take care of it after I pressured themThey redid the job and I left my car with them for roughly 6/hoursI felt a lit

I know I specifically requested the transfer of the Clifford Remote Starter. I was told several times, removal is free and re-installation is at 50%
I have sold the Mercury Mountaineer, and I bought a Nissan SentraI am hoping Car Toys agrees to move this as I have requested. The issue is open, as Car Toys has asked what the make/model of my new car is. This issue is not closed, just pending. Hopefully it will be resolved soon

I've had numerous issues with my car stereo system (bluetooth, bacamera, steering wheel controls, dash modifications, etc.) installed by CartoysI was told when I initially spent $to have it installed, that if I ever had “any problems” that I could bring it back to the store and the issues would be resolved, at no costThis is NOT what I've experienced- Right away, the bluetooth microphone feature (which syncs with my Android phone) was garbled and unusableIt seems to work OK when the vehicle is off (like when it's in the Cartoys shop) and surroundings are quietI returned to Cartoys three times to have this fixedI had to make an appointment and leave my vehicle for a few hours each time to have this issue investigatedThey moved the bluetooth microphone around the cab of my vehicle, but nothing seemed to helpI decided there wasn't much I could do, so I just never used this featureIt still does not work properly- The backup camera started working intermittent

Bought a new stereo for my car I wanted bluetooth calls, and back up camera Backup is great, sound is great, calls, not so much Calls to Cartoys to fix have so far been less than positive They also say I have to pay to uninstall the broken equipment
So, last time with cartoys for me dollars should provide better customer service
