I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
 I do not except this response, because in the initial contact that was sent by Car Finance.com they already new the value of my vehicle and after obtaining more information I was sent an email from [redacted], Vice Presidet of operations that stated "Congratulations [redacted]. your loan application has been approved!"  After receiving the email, I then called and was told again that, I had been approved.  I feel that they obtained all of my personal information and at the same time they were giving me false information.  Car Finance.com has put me in a tough spot, and it seems they can to this to anyone and just say "We're Sorry"  they did simply did not deliver on any of the promises they made.

Problem: I currently have an auto loan financed through CarFinance, I fell into a severe financial hardship and am approaching 60 days late on my payments. I called CarFinance today at [redacted]. I prompted through the directories by SSN and got to a male agent. The male collections rep was NOT friendly by any means. I understand collections, its what I do now and i've been in the business for more than half of my adult career. I tried to explain my situation but this man kept interrupting and telling me to make the payment. I told him I tried yesterday online to make a payment, but their system rejected it stating I have to pay at least $580.?? as a minimum. I was unable to make the payment and utilized the funds for another bill. The agent kept stating I am in violation of my contract over and over, and that "they can come pick it up whenever." I asked the agent what is the cutoff date for the car to be repossed, the agent refused to give me a date, he said there is no date. I told him there has to be, as a company wouldn't allow a 5-figure debt to be decided by an hourly collections rep, I advised him it simply cannot be just random. Again the agent refused a date and said I am approaching 3 months late, or in my opinion 61 days on Tuesday. Since the agent was refusing to provide me with an answer to the question, I asked for his manager. He REFUSED. He kept repeating (while interrupting me) "I AM THE ACCOUNT MANAGER." I advised him I understand collections and inbound calls quite well, but I want to talk to his office supervisor, he advised me there is no one there and I can only talk to him, I told him that is unacceptable. I advised him I want a callback Monday, he said he'd call me, I told him I NEVER want another call from him or to never talk to him again, as he is RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and VERY UNFRIENDLY. He kept saying he would still call me Monday. Kept asking for the payment, I asked for a manager call back and the agent HUNG UP ON ME!!!Desired Outcome: I want a contact from the CEO of CarFinance, or an executive-type member that understands federal harassment laws, and collections practices laws. I WANT that phone call reviewed that began at 12:07pm CST 11-28-2015 and lasted roughly 9 minutes. I want to know this agent will never treat another customer like he treated me. I also want them to cease all collections from agents on his level, and only want to be contacted by real customer service reps that will not lie to me and hang up on me. I want to pay this down and get it taken care of, getting hung up on won't allow me to do that. I want to know the policy on vehicle repossession, along with a payoff quote dated 1/31/2016, Thank You.

We have reviewed your account and please be advised of the following. A late fee is assessed once the account is ten (10) days past the due date. All of your payments have been received after the ten day period. If your bank has proof that we have received the payments earlier, please send over the appropriate documentation and we will back date the payments and reverse any late fees that may have accrued. In the meantime, please be advised that in the state of [redacted], it is [redacted] state law that anytime a payment is received on a loan, the late fees are required to be paid first. That is how the account has fallen behind. What happens is every time a payment is received, our system takes out the late fee out of your payment; and because the payments that are sent in do not include the late fee amount, the account has started to fall behind in March. Please keep in mind, this is the state law of [redacted], and as a finance company we do not have control of that. To bring the account completely current, the account is now due for a total amount of $841.38. That includes the past due amount for the May payment of $81.09, plus the June payment of $724.09, and a late fee for the June payment of $36.20.  In order to avoid this from happening in the future, we suggest that once the account has been brought current by paying the $841.38, that you sign up for recurring payments via our website at www.carfinance.com. On there, you will be able to set up your payment date, and your account will be credited with us for that date, that way, you will not have to worry about the account being past due. I would like to pay my car payment without any late fees for this month. I attempted to pay my car payment for the month of October yesterday when I was being mistreated. It would be nice to have no car payment for this month due to their extremely poor customer service.

Your account is currently under maintenance and will be fixed over the weekend.  Upon our investigation, it was determined that the issues occurred when you requested to have a payment reapplied directly to principal. To better explain, this was after you made a payment on January 7, 2016 of $5,418.52. The loan balance after the payment posted to the account was at $5,615.03. When the request was made to reapply $5,000.00 directly to principal, there was a minor error upon its completion. The system did not take out the $5,000.00 from the original $5,418.52 payment. What that means to you is that you were accidently credited $5,000.00.  This would be the reason you will have a remaining balance on the account. When you called for an updated payoff quote on January 15th, we were not aware of the error which made your account have an incorrect payoff.
