Good day ***, In response to order ***, the customer paid on 7/16/Fees were electrically sent to the DMVCustomer stated they started on the official Department of Motor Vehicle's websiteAlthough we are permitted to process vehicle registrations we do not have power to
redirect customers from the www.dmv.ca.gov website as it is a government owned websiteCustomer emailed us two hours after he initially paid, we then informed him when placing an order with Cartagz.com our system is not allowed to continue until you have read and clicked that you agreed to our terms of serviceWe processed his order as he did agree to our terms of service. -*** Cartagz AdminOnline Media Manager

I am rejecting this response because: I never received anything but the email that I finally received after the complaintI found out that I can get tags through the *** ***I have to wait a month though and it will cost me a little more to do thisThe whole point of your website/service is supposed to be about convenience which you even charged extra forI will fix this with the automobile club and not use your service againYour customer service appears to be non-existent and I had to go to the Revdex.com and the *** *** to fix this no convenience at all

We issued a refund of $29 for our service fee to the customers paypal account. We were notified by paypal, that a refund could not be processed due to a dispute with the customer and paypal. The customer had called his bank to stop the transaction. We contacted Paypal and they allowed us to refund...

the customer the extra cartagz fees $ 41.99 today 12/17/2014.In Mr [redacted]'s letter, he makes reference to Cartagz "hijacking" a legitimate government service.    Cartagz meets all advertising requirements and regulations of the CVC code section 1685. Cartagz advertising has been approved by California Dmv legal affairs department.The first attachment displays what he saw, when the customer typed in the url. Its the choice of the customer to choose the correct link. The second attachment displays the charges, where he has the option to cancel. The customer claims he wasn't aware of the Cartagz fee til he had already paid. This is false as well.

Hello,I am rejecting this response because: I do not understand the business's response.  They have not addressed my complaint at all: all I see is an attachment of my paid vehicle...

registration fees in the amount of $108.00.  What I am disputing, however, is the $45.00 service fee that Cartagz charged me.  I did not voluntarily go thru the Cartagz website when I renewed my registration: I was re-directed from the official CA DMV website to Cartagz without my knowledge or consent, and this is what I am contesting.  I request a refund of the $45.00 fee.  Sincerely,Dr. [redacted]

In response to order [redacted], the customer paid on 5/11/2015. The orders are completed instantly and since the order was paid after closing hours, it was shipped the next day on May 12. The Cartagz...

website will not allow the customer to pay until they have read and agreed to the terms of use. The customer stated that they received their tags 3 days later from the DMV. The DMV is not able to complete and mail the renewals within 3 days of paying. The average time is 2-3 weeks. We will refund the customer, if their registration has not renewed yet and the registration they received from Cartagz is returned whole and not used. The sticker must still be in the plastic sleeve.Thank you,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] is my father in-law. I purchased the car from him and was ensuring the registration was completed prior to doing the transfer of title. Your company processed my payment and even mailed me confirmation to MY ADDRESS IN ENCINO: NOT THE REGISTERED OWNERS ADDRESS! You then confirmed that the registration had been mailed to the registered owners address and it never arrived. In fact, just two hours ago I spoke to the DMV who CONFIRMED YOU NEVER SENT THE TAGS EVEN THOUGH YOU TOLD ME YOU DID!! The DMV apologized for your failure and lack of professionalism; even going so far as to say they have been trying to remove you from their site as a provider! They encouraged me to do my business through [redacted] from now on; which I will do. Your "threatening" to report things adds insult to your injury and if your so concerned about the "registered owner" getting everything you probably shouldn't have a) taken a payment from someone other than the registered owner b) mailed confirmation to anyone other than the registered owner.

Just an update to let you know that I still have not received a credit from Cartagz.

The customer had a change of address on the order, but she wanted it shipped to a different location.We shipped it to the address requested, but she stated she had given us the wrong address, once she found out it was already shipped.  We asked her to confirm the address and she did but she...

still did not receive the replacement. We emailed her a copy of the registration free of charge. The DMV was requesting her to have a smog performed, therefore we reported the fees to the DMV. She requested a refund. Our contract with the DMV does not allow us to refund the consumer any of the DMV fees. Since the shipping address was for a hotel, [redacted],  we reached out to her twice,to call us to confirm the exact address. She never returned the call and insisted a refund of the DMV Fees, which we are not allowed, as I have explained above. We have refunded the extra fees today but she will need to go to the DMV and ask for a refund of their fees. We go above and beyond for our customers but there are sometimes unique situations and limitations since the Usps is ultimately responsible to get the items to the customer.

I think the DMV has its $208.00 which is not necessary to return to me. Thank you for the difference .  You may credit it back to the card I used for the transaction.
Again thanks, that was quite a shocker.

Consumer states: The company has agreed to refund me the funds and I should expect that by the 17th of April. If I do not receive it I will contact the Revdex.com.
