Review: goggle site for DMV to register my vehicle as it turned out was Cartagz,inc. It looked like a DMV web site. Review: This company uses very DECEPTIVE practices.I put www.dmv.ca.gov in my browser as my DMV renewal directed.This company is the first choice that opens up and looks to similar to the government site to tell the difference.It should be illegal for a company to Hijack legitimate government services pay sites and add a surcharge.Only after printing my receipt did I realize I had been ripped off.Ridiculous... Review: I paid for my tags on 2-10-15. I received an email I needed a smog. I completed the on the 21 and it was emailed to them. I emailed them two weeks later and they said they were mailed. I emailed them 3 more times. Requesting a contact phone number they only reply that they were sent out. I have tried 3 different numbers I have found on the Internet and none of them work. Including the one listed on there Web site.Desired Settlement: Either get my tags or refund my money. I have received a fix it ticket do to expired tags. They should pay for that also.

Review: I paid for my registration online through the DMV.ca.gov website and then I was directed to this website which then charged $45.11 for nothing whatsover. DMV fees were $92 dollars which I pressed agreed to pay then I was charged $137.11 for the same transaction. Ive attempted to call but number onfile is a hoax number so this is obviously some type of scamming business. Please look into it as soon as possible because now Im not sure whats going on with my registration tags for my vehicle due to the fact I am unable to contact anyone at this time...Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded for tricking a consumer! I am rejecting this response because: I never received anything but the email that I finally received after the complaint. I found out that I can get tags through the [redacted]. I have to wait a month though and it will cost me a little more to do this. The whole point of your website/service is supposed to be about convenience which you even charged extra for. I will fix this with the automobile club and not use your service again. Your customer service appears to be non-existent and I had to go to the Revdex.com and the [redacted] to fix this .... no convenience at all ....

I went online to what I thought was the CA. DMV website to pay my Car Registration Bill of $91...

I feel I was led to believe that it was the website of CA. DMV and I understood I was also paying a Convenience fee of $2.55 and the Shipping fee of $2.50. In this process I feel I should have been informed early and often that there was a ($29 Cartagz Fee) to make sure that I clearly understood this fee was over and above the Registration, Convenience and Shipping fees.

I really feel I was Bamboozled!Desired Settlement: $29 is the cost I feel I should get in return for misleading me in to paying this fee. I would also hope Cartagz changes the way it does business so that there are never (any misunderstanding what so ever) for the next guy trying to pay his Registration fees ONLY.

Decided to utilize this service due to it's false advertising online. This service was supposed to be speedy and effortless and is why I paid an extra service fee to have my tags delivered over night and 4 business days later I still don't have them. Their website has no phone number and after doing a search was able to connect with ###-###-#### but there was no one available to take my call and the voice mail was full.

Review: I needed to pay my DMV Fees so I attempted to pay them online. When I logged into [redacted] the cartagz site popped on the DMV site representing itself as part of DMV. My car fees were 120.00 dollars so I began putting in my information to pay the car fees. After putting in the necessary information I clicked next on the site and it directed me to the amount due. As I viewed the amount I started to look at the fees that were being added to the 120.00 dollar fee. I paid the amount asked for which totaled 158.00 dollars. I started to look at the charges and started to feel uncomfortable so I tried to get information from DMV about the fees and come to find out that the site was not associated with DMV. I called several people at DMV and asked them if they had authorized a parent company to accept fees on behalf of DMV, their response was no.So I began to try and contact Cartagz and when I called there was no answer which leads me to believe that this company is set up to run a scam on the consumer. Please look into this matter so that I can recoup the extra money that I paid for my registration. When you try to contact Cartagz by phone at [redacted] there is only a recording from an answering. Review: I ordered car registration renewal from them on 2/25/2015. Documents and sticker never arrived. Their website said I could not report this until 8 weeks had passed. After 8 weeks had passed, I tried contacting customer service. The link on their website to customer service is not only unknown, but flashed a warning that there was a virus issue and asked me to enter information -- a red flag for fraud.After exploring about five different options for attempting to contact them, I used the only one that (sort of) worked. Had to fill out a detailed form and was asked to explain problem in text box that would only allow about 8 words of text. I received a reply that said only "Please verify address," but did not indicate where to verify my address or how.When I filled out a contact form again, I received an email that said customer service was closed. It listed hours -- 9 am to 4:30 pm. Email was sent around 11 am.I have entered my address multiple times, including on the complaint form, and it is always the same, by the way.They clearly do not wish to provide any sort of customer service. Now that I have waited 8 weeks to report this problem, I am sure I can no longer dispute the charge with my credit card company. All I want is the registration paperwork and sticker I paid more than $200 for. Review: Cartagz has inserted its business into a prominent position when performing a Google search. I inadvertently selected this scam company when applying for my annual vehicle license fees. The site is designed to appear as though the consumer is doing business directly with DMV, when (as a matter of fact) they are not.While I ultimately did receive my tags, I was also charged a hefty premium for something which the DMV site does not charge. Review: I went online (08/31/2015)with my DMV registration form to renew my vehicle registration with expires on that date. As I was renewing and paying with my debit card, it kept asking me if I wanted next day service with Cartagz and I clicked no but it wouldn't let me pay without clicking continue. I checked the no box and clicked continue payment and they charge me $172.06 and my registration renewal is only $126.00. I received an email the next day from Cartagz (09/01/15) and on the 3rd of Sept. 2015, no tags in the mail. I tried going online with the link Cartagz gave me to check my status and I keep getting a message that they're not available. I called DMV and when someone finally called me back, she said my tags where mailed on the 09/01/15 and it will take approx. 2 weeks via mail to receive them. I told on their renewal site Cartagz said next day service. Which I couldn't get around while trying to renew. She said their not affiliated with Cartagz. Cartagz list their as "[redacted] Official site DMV Car Registration". They charged me all of this money and I haven't gotten anything even 2 days later.Desired Settlement: I want my $46.06 back. And I want my tags ang renewed registration.

I received an email from cartagz saying orders received after 4pm ship same business day. why did they charge me $172.06 for a renewal fee of 126.00? When I clicked the second time I thought I was just clicking to order through the DMV. Since it says; "LICENSED BY THE CALIFORNIA DMV", I though they were affiliated and that I was just clicking the regular payment.

Review: I contacted "Cartagz Inc." to renew my vehicle registration.All went as planed until I received the new registration card & sticker for the new years registration and realized that Cartagz had sent me the wrong year sticker and the number on the sticker doesn't match the number printed on the new registration card. I called them immediately, left a message about what happened and never got a return call. I then contacted them by E-mail and got a response that said that their "system" says that I was sent the correct year & number sticker. There were 2 other E-mails exchanged where they asked me for the numbers on the wrong sticker at least twice and I haven't heard any other response since. Review: Dear Revdex.com,I went online to renew my car registration on DMV's website following the steps to pay for the standard fees billed by the DMV. At some point without realizing I had been redirected to this outside source, Cartagz, I paid the fees which listed several additional arbitrary fees racked on. Right after I submitted the payment I realized something was wrong not only looking at the original DMV bill with itemized fees having been different, but the fact that Cartagz's payment confirmation had popped up. I quickly within the matter of minute went onto their website filling out a form requesting cancellation of the transaction. This took place on Saturday 9/12/15 which their website states they are closed on weekends. I received a confirmation email stating my car tags were being shipped out Monday morning. Immediately I emailed the admin support telling them I already emailed them requesting the cancellation. Then the unhelpful correspondence started. They said they never received my original email and had already processed the order with the shipment on the way. How was this even possible when my email was successfully sent and the fact that they are closed on the weekends to have even processed and shipped my order so quickly Monday morning. Regardless of the fact, they repeatedly denied my request to speak to a manager or call me back saying they did not have a phone number since they are an online business. This is absurd because no business can run without a phone line. They charged me an additional $49.87 over what I would pay directly to the DMV. The reason I didn't catch it at first was because I was over the due date and thought there was additional fees I owed not realizing this company somehow has it's link correlated to the DMVs site for people to pay their fees in an extremely sneaky way. All I wanted was a cancellation which I requested within a minute or so of submitting my payment, and with no response to getting a hold of a manager or phone call back.Desired Settlement: They did not address my complaint or acknowledge my request to resolve the matter with a manager, and sent my registration and car tags. I would like a full refund ($291.87) plus the additional fees I would now owe the DMV (payment due 9/18-10/08 is $262 10/8-12/07 $333) or simply refund me the additional fees of $49.87 as I only owed the DMV a total of $242. Review: Cartagz.com was linked to, what I thought, was a car registration reminder from the California DMV. I processed my registration and then to my shock, was hit with a total of $295.70 for what should have been $257. The charges, which were NEVER CLEARLY DISPLAYED were: $29 processing fee and a $7 Convenience Fee??? and a $2.50 Postage Fee. $38.50 is NOT a convenience when you can process your registration on DMV website for free. Their website is clearly set-up to portray the look of, and make you believe that you are dealing with the true and legitimate California DMV website. Their marketing practices are CLEARLY deceptive and a total misrepresentation of who they really are. I immediately phoned the Cartagz.com at their ###-###-#### number which is a recording. Review: This company doesn't just have terrible customer service: it's customer service doesn't exist.They emailed me a confirmation claiming my DMV registration was complete and the tags were mailed to me back at the end of January. Today is 3/24 and I still haven't received my tags nor has this company responded to my emails to them (they do not have a phone number to call customer service nor do they offer chat: only email; to which the only response you get is an automated one confirming receipt of your email. Yet they claim to have 24/7 customer support on their website. They have no support of any kind! Bottom line: they've had my money since Jan but my car's tags still show as expired. I thought I was directly paying the DMV - furthermore on the status of the order it says Shipped on March 9, 2015, it is already March 16th end of day and I have yet to receive registration renewal form or STICKER. TRIED CONTACTING customer service and there is no way to contact, they ask you to directly contact the DMV which I did and said they are no affiliated with Cartagz at all. At this point I paid $53.65 (BPA Fee: $8.00 *which DMV did not charge*, processing fees of $29.00, $12.15, and $4.50. Emailed Cartagz and only received automated response, called the 1800 number only to not get through to anyone and says the phone number is out of service. I DEMAND that we know the status of where our registration/stickers are as well as a total refund of $53.65. Company is a complete scam. WEBSITE says Orders will process on same day before 4pm, and its been 7 business days and we have received nothing and we are located in the same state as the company. WHEN PURCHASING COMPANY SAID 4-5 BUSINESS DAYS, complete sham and liars.Desired Settlement: Refund of $53.65 to original form of payment (otherwise will be disputing) as well as letting us know what address they sent the registration/sticker to because it has been 7 days and we have yet to receive anything. We cannot drive anywhere.

Good Morning [redacted], In response to Complaint ID#[redacted] I do show in our records this order was issuedand shipped out via USPS on March 9 2015 to the address the customer listedwhen placing order. Once it leaves our office it's no longer in our possession and have nocontrol on its final destination. We were unable to assist in issuing a replacementfor him as he has already completed a replacement order with the DMV. We issued a refund of our service fee to thecustomer. We pride ourselves on exceeding expectations forour customers but there are situations and limitations since the USPS isultimately responsible to get the items to the customer.
