First and foremost please be advised that CashNetUSA does not provide financial services...

to residents of the state of [redacted].
After carefully reviewing this complaint, we were able to locate several customers with the name of [redacted]. However, we were unable to locate a customer whose information matches the information submitted in the complaint. To confirm, whether there is a profile associated with Mr. [redacted], CashNetUSA will need additional information to verify the account, such as the phone number being contacted. We request that Mr. [redacted] contact our compliance department at XXX-XXX-XXXX ext. [redacted] to further investigate his concerns.
Based on the details of the complaint however, it is possible that Mr. [redacted] has been contacted by fraudsters falsely posing as a collection agency or law firm in an attempt to extort money from consumers who may or may not have ever obtained a loan from us. CashNetUSA is not associated with these individuals. Therefore, unfortunately, CashNetUSA cannot prevent them from contacting Mr. [redacted].

On March 25, 2016, Ms. [redacted] opened a $750.00 limit Line of Credit with CashNetUSA. Ms. [redacted] signed her line of credit agreement stating she understood...

and accepted the terms and conditions associated with the line of credit. The fees and interest applicable to the advance Ms. [redacted] requested were fully set forth in the loan agreement, a copy of which was provided to her when she opened the account. Over the course of her relationship with CashNetUSA, she has taken three (3) advances and has made the minimum payment on her account balance. Ms. [redacted] always has the options to make additional payments towards her account balance. As set forth in Ms. [redacted]'s Line of Credit agreement, she is required to make at least the minimum payment every billing period she carries a balance. The minimum amount due on each due date will be 15% of the outstanding balance and any fees plus all interest accrued. As set forth in Ms. [redacted]'s Line of Credit agreement, interest charges are assessed when the statement closes to the amount borrowed for that billing period. We do not charge interest on fees or accrued interest (no compounding). The daily periodic rate applied to her account is 0.8192%. The corresponding Annual Percentage Rate is 299%. In addition to interest, there is also a transaction fee. As set forth in Ms. [redacted]'s, Line of Credit Agreement, there is a transaction fee for every advance requested; the transaction fee is 15% of the total amount borrowed. In addition to disclosing the charging structure from the outset, we keep our customers informed by supplying periodic statements. Amongst other loan details, the due date, minimum payment amount, and account balance are shown on each periodic statement. CashNetUSA cannot provide specific dollar amounts for the amounts that would be due throughout the life of the line of credit because the amount due at any given due date will be dependent upon the customer’s usage of the line of credit, including for example whether they made any draws and if so, the amount, and the amount of any payments by the customer. CashNetUSA values Ms. [redacted] as a customer and strives to provide the ultimate customer experience. We are happy to answer any additional questions she may have regarding her account. Based on our review, Ms. [redacted] spoke with one of our managers and escalations representatives and advised her that we are willing to reimburse the bank fees she may have incurred due to the miscommunication. However, Ms. [redacted] declined the offer. Further, CashNetUSA waived the fees and interest she received on her most recent loan with us. addition, our records indicate that various marketing partners referred the applications in question to CashNetUSA. What this means is that Ms. [redacted] input her information into other websites that then linked her up with CashNetUSA as a potential loan provider. Based on the information provided on these applications, we could not approve the request for a loan. At this time, Ms. [redacted] does not have a loan with CashNetUSA. If Ms. [redacted] has not applied for credit, then this may be a signal of ID-theft. In order for us to launch an investigation, she will have to file a police report with her local authority and submit a copy of the police report to CashNetUSA. On June 22, 2015, CashNetUSA arranged a $1,200.00 CAB...

Installment loan for Ms. [redacted].
On July 15, 2015, Ms. [redacted] paid off the full account balance.
Due to an inadvertent error, Ms. [redacted]'s rebate was not processed in a timely manner.
On August 6, 2015, CashNetUSA processed the rebate in the amount of $59.66 to Ms. [redacted]'s bank account. We ask that she please allow 3-5 business days for the transaction to appear in her account.
We apologize for the confusion this matter may have caused Ms. [redacted]. We hope that this response resolves this complaint and answers any questions that your office has. If we can provide any additional information, please contact us.

I am rejecting this response because:I am not a male, if you took time to review my account with my information you acquired illegally I am a female and should be addressed so.I spoke with Cash Net USA informing them to close the account down and to remove my personal information, yesterday 10/3/2016 someone accessed the account and changed my email address, I had priorly spoke with a supervisor and was informed that my email would be removed which it was not. Cash Net USA acquired my information illegally, I did not give consent for them to open an account or be subject of a credit check. I want my account closed and removed from their System. They can keep a hard copy for auditing purposes but they must remove my Information from their computer systems. I want a written explanation to why they still have my personal information on their systems which they obtained illegally. And a phone conversation regarding why my email address was not removed and how someone gained access to the account to change the email address. If this is not resolved within 7 business days I will have to pursue legal measures.

As previously mentioned, CashNetUSA advised Mr. [redacted] in the initial settlement offer that the full balance of $1,382.31 must be paid within thirty (30) days; otherwise the agreement would be null and void. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] did not pay the full amount within the agreed upon timeframe, and as such, collection activity resumed.However, since Mr. [redacted] asserted that he will have the settlement offer balance of $1,382.31 within the next week, we are willing to extend the due date to April 4, 2016.  If Mr. [redacted] would like to agree to this updated settlement offer we ask that he please contact Laura [redacted] directly at [redacted] to update his account accordingly.We hope that this response resolves this complaint and answers any questions that your office has. On September 21, 2016, CashNetUSA submitted a refund of $72.00 for the NSF fees incurred on Ms. [redacted]’s account. On July 17, 2017, Ms. [redacted] submitted documentation to update her pay frequency, therefore, we updated her pay frequency in our system as per her request. On July 18, 2017, Ms. [redacted] contacted our customer service department (via email) to request to adjust her upcoming due date of July 18, 2017 to July 21, 2017. Subsequently, CashNetUSA sent an email advising that in order for us to adjust her due date she would have to authorize the adjustment. However, our records do not indicate that we received clear authorization to move the due date in question, therefore, the payment amount was debited as scheduled on July 21, 2017. Based on our review, it appears this issue is a result of a miscommunication, and we offer our apologies to Ms. [redacted] for the inconvenience this matter has caused her. CashNetUSA strives to provide the ultimate customer experience. As such, we have advised Ms. [redacted] that we will be happy to reimburse the bank fees that she incurred as a direct result of our debit provided that she submits a bank statement detailing those charges. As previously mentioned, Mr. [redacted] opened his Line of Credit on November 14, 2011. Therefore, it appears that he is familiar with how the product works. Further, before he entered the agreement, CashNetUSA provided the applicable disclosures, and Mr. [redacted] then electronically signed his agreement acknowledging he understood and accepted the terms and conditions associated with the Line of Credit account. At this time, Mr. [redacted] account balance is current. Therefore, he is not eligible for a settlement at this time. CashNetUSA strives to provide the ultimate customer experience and we are willing to work with him to see what options are available to get him back on track. In addition, the fees and interest applicable to a cash advance were fully set forth in the agreement, a copy of which was provided to her (via email) when she opened the account. Based on the findings of our review, we found no breach in our process that would justify closing Ms. [redacted] customer account while it still holds a balance. However, we are still willing to work with Ms. [redacted]; therefore, we ask that she contact Season [redacted] in our Compliance department directly at (773) [redacted] to see what options are available.
