Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I was contacted by Cashnet on Wednesday June 8th and was informed they would redo the terms to 8 payments of $125 with the last installment being $75 and that would satisfy the loan. I was informed I needed to do nothing else I would receive the revised terms within 24 hours by email. As of today Junes 13th they have not contacted me back nor sent the revised terms as they specified
Sincerely,

persons referenced in this complaint who are posing as consumer lenders. These persons are fraudulently using our trade name in an attempt to extort money from consumers by claiming to offer consumer loan services to these consumers. The phone numbers 606-930-0382 and 773-683-2229 listed in the complaint does not belong to and are not used by CashNetUSA. On December 8, 2013, Ms. Williams applied for financial services; however, we were unable to approve her application. CashNetUSA does not require or request any down-payment or advance fee in order to apply for or receive a loan. CashNetUSA has no knowledge of, or control over, these individuals falsely posing as lenders and possibly demanding a down payment or advance before extending a loan.  While we sympathize with Ms. Williams’ situation, we cannot take action because the complaint is not related to CashNetUSA. We recommend that he follow the link below to the Federal Trade Commission’s web site for information on how she can protect herself against this type of activity. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0078-advance-fee-loans We hope that this response resolves this complaint and answers any questions that your office has. Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/12) */
Thank you for forwarding this customer complaint. We take all complaints seriously and make every effort to implement a fair and satisfactory resolution.
On June 4, 2015, CashNetUSA arranged a $1,200.00 CAB Installment loan. Mr. [redacted] signed...

his loan agreement stating that he agreed to the terms and conditions associated with the CAB agreement.
On June 17, 2015, Mr. [redacted] contacted our customer service department and requested to pay the full balance of $1,576.39 on June 18, 2015 via Automated Clearing House (ACH).
On June 18, 2015, Mr. [redacted] paid the full balance of $1,576.36 via ACH. However, due to an inadvertent error, an additional debit of $227.84 was collected from Mr. [redacted]'s bank account.
CashNetUSA was not able to process Mr. [redacted]'s reimbursement request via ACH. Therefore, we advised Mr. [redacted] (via email) that a reimbursement of the additional payment of $227.84 would be issued to the address we held on file via check. As such, CashNetUSA mailed a check to the address Mr. [redacted] listed on his account profile. At that time, Mr. [redacted] did not advise CashNetUSA of his new mailing address.
Mr. [redacted] contacted CashNetUSA in regards to the status of his reimbursement, essentially advising us that the address he has on file is not current and provided his current mailing address. CashNetUSA advised Mr. [redacted] that since a check was issued to his old mailing address, CashNetUSA will have to confirm and/or verify the status of the previous check prior to issuing a new check.
On August 5, 2015, CashNetUSA placed a stop payment on the previously issued check and submitted a new request to issue the check to Mr. [redacted]'s current address. We ask Mr. [redacted] to please allow 7-14 business days for him to receive the check.
We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this matter has caused Mr. [redacted]. As a gesture of goodwill for his experience, we have waived $100.00 off of Mr. [redacted]'s current CAB loan balance.
We hope that this response resolves this complaint and answers any questions that your office has. If we can provide any additional information, please contact us.

completed with his personal information. Mr. [redacted] has contacted CashNetUSA directly to report that he did not apply for financial services. CashNetUSA advised Mr. [redacted] that in order for CashNetUSA to investigate his identity theft claim, it would need a copy of a police report or fraud affidavit. CashNetUSA has not yet received a copy of a police report or fraud affidavit to launch an investigation. Since Mr. [redacted] is asserting that he did not submit an application for credit, we ask that he please file a police report with his local authority or a fraud affidavit and submit a copy of the police report to CashNetUSA. Our fax number is 877-[redacted] and our email address is [email protected]. Please note: Mr. [redacted] may contact our fraud department directly at 888-801-9075 ext. 8649 with any questions or concerns regarding his claim. We take all complaints seriously and make every effort to implement a fair and satisfactory resolution.Ms. [redacted] asserts in her complaint that CashNetUSA did not inform her about the extended payment plan option available to her, and because...

of this, she is requesting we drop all charges due and refund any overpayments made.  We have reviewed this matter, below are our findings. On April 1, 2016, CashNetUSA arranged a $500.00 [redacted] ([redacted]) loan for Ms. [redacted]. She signed her agreement stating that she understood and accepted the terms and conditions associated with the [redacted] loan. As set forth in Ms. [redacted]’s agreement, not more than once in a twelve (12) month period a customer may request an extended payment plan if they contact us two (2) business days prior to their due date indicating that they are unable to make their contractual payment, but would like to set up a plan for the amount due.A review of the customer file found that we worked out an extended payment arrangement on the loan in question; however, Ms. [redacted] stopped payment on the transaction and revoked our Automated Clearing House (ACH) authorization. Currently, the account is in delinquent status. In addition to our comments above, Ms. [redacted] is a returning customer, and has utilized the extended payment plan on her previous loans. Therefore, it appears that she is familiar with our services.Based on the findings of our review, we found no breach in our process that would justify the cancelling of all charges, and/or a refund. If Ms. [redacted] would like to discuss alternate payment options, we ask that she please contact our compliance department at 888-[redacted] for assistance. We hope that this response resolves this complaint and answers any questions that your office has. If we can provide any additional information, please contact us.

Thank you for forwarding this customer complaint. We take all complaints seriously and make every effort to implement a fair and satisfactory resolution. Mr. [redacted] is a returning CashNetUSA customer. On May 2, 2016, Mr. [redacted] was funded a $800.00 Installment loan with CashNetUSA. Before he became...

bound by the agreement, CashNetUSA disclosed the Terms and Conditions associated with the loan, including the Loan Duration, Annual Percentage Rate, Finance Charge, Amount Financed, Total of Payments and the Payment Schedule. Mr. Ellis then signed his loan agreement stating that he agreed and accepted the terms and conditions associated with the installment loan. On June 1, 2016, $253.45 was due for the first installment. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] did not make this payment. We received notification from Mr. [redacted]’s financial institution that he placed a stop payment on the transaction. As such, our collections efforts have been initiated. In review of Mr. [redacted]’s concerns we have concluded that on May 31, 2016, he contacted our customer service department and requested that we lower his monthly payment or extend the loan term. However, at the time that Mr. [redacted] contacted us, his account was current and we could not accommodate his request because the terms of the original loan agreement were still in effect.Although we were not able to accommodate Mr. [redacted]’s request, we advised Mr. [redacted] to please contact our collections department to see what options are available. Our records do not indicate, Mr. [redacted] contacted our collections department.Since Mr. [redacted] has asserted that he would like to cease communication with CashNetUSA. We have honored his request.CashNetUSA strives to provide the ultimate customer experience. Our compliance department has offered a payment arrangement to Mr. [redacted]; however, he has not contacted us back to confirm his acceptance. If Mr. [redacted] is interested in scheduling/confirming the proposed payment arrangement, we ask that he please contact Laura Chavez directly at 312-754-6781 for assistance. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I've contacted CashnetUSA numerous times, and of those many correspondences that I still have, this is the most information I have received. CashnetUSA changed the  original requested amount on my behalf and changed the amount that I reported I made. The company then issued that amount to my account and created a contract based on that fabricated information. Laws have not caught up to online lenders that do not report to credit bureaus. The word choice CashnetUSA is using in these official responses is strategic to avoid admitting this fact and breech of contract so that it will not be null and void under the law. Where is the original third party information to show this reported 1500.00? It should not be a scam to run an honest business with honest people who are not out to victimize would be loyal customers.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: They have made more than enough money from me and if I was such a valuable customer as they say they would make an attempt to work something out. Second, my first line of credit was 500. Not 700.

Thank you for forwarding this customer complaint. We take all complaints seriously and make every effort to implement a fair and satisfactory resolution.
On February 5, 2015, Ms. [redacted] opened a $1,050.00 Line of Credit with CashNetUSA. Ms....

[redacted] signed her agreement stating that she agreed to the terms and conditions associated with the Line of Credit.
Ms. [redacted] has requested several advances.
Ms. [redacted] has been successfully making minimum payments on her account and maintaining her account in good standing, until the payment due on April 16, 2015. On April 16, 2015, CashNetUSA submitted the minimum payment due of $210.25 to the bank account on file. However the payment returned unpaid by her banking institution due to the bank account being closed.
Due to her account being past due, Collections activity began on her account beginning on April 20, 2015. It is always our prioritized goal to adhere to and comply with all regulatory requirements while conducting regular and collection business. We train our staff accordingly and follow the collection guidelines set forth by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). In addition, CashNetUSA has attempted to reach Ms. [redacted] only on the phone numbers provided to CashNetUSA by Ms. [redacted].
On April 20, 2015 CashNetUSA attempted to reach Ms. [redacted] at the phone number submitted as the home phone number and left a voicemail message. Another attempt to contact Ms. [redacted], via the work number provided by Ms. [redacted], was made as per FDCPA guidelines on April 20, 2015. However CashNetUSA was advised that the phone number was the wrong number. CashNetUSA has appropriately updated Ms. [redacted]'s account and no further attempts to reach Ms. [redacted] has been made using the number listed as her work number.
CashNetUSA attempted to contact Ms. [redacted] via the home phone number on file on April 21, 2015, April 22, 2015 and April 23, 2015. Each day only one call was made and a voicemail message left. Please be advised that since Ms. [redacted]'s account has become past due, CashNetUSA has not spoken with Ms. [redacted].
Our records indicate that the last communication with Ms. [redacted] occurred on April 2, 2015, when Ms. [redacted] contacted CashNetUSA to determine if she could request a Line of Credit increase. Ms. [redacted] was appropriately advised that increases are performed manually and cannot be initiated by the customer. Contrary to Ms. [redacted]'s assertions, after review of the call, there was no request to cease communications.
Our records do not indicate that Ms. [redacted] requested that we cease telephone communication. However, it appears that Ms. [redacted] is requesting to cease telephone communications. As such, effective immediately CashNetUSA has ceased telephone communications.
As of April 23, 2015, Ms. [redacted]'s account is past due$210.25, with an account balance of $1,275.88. As Ms. [redacted] has a Line of Credit, please be advised that interest is applied daily to the outstanding balance, therefore the balance due will increase. We ask that Ms. [redacted] contact our Collections Department directly at XXX-XXX-XXXX to setup payment arrangements and to update the method of repayment to get her account back on track.
We hope that this response resolves this complaint and answers any questions that your office has. If we can provide any additional information, please contact us.
