Cashnetusa Reviews (475)

Thank you for forwarding this customer complaint. We take all complaints seriously and make every effort to implement a fair and satisfactory resolution. On July 1, 2016, CashNetUSA arranged a $450.00 [redacted] (Brokered) loan for Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] chose to extend his loan due date two (2) times. When...

extending the loan due date, the customer will pay the portion of the principal disbursed to [redacted] for the Credit Services fee and lender interest on the original due date. The customer will pay the lender the remaining loan principal, any additional interest and Credit Services Fee on the extended due date. On July 17, 2015, Mr. [redacted] paid $189.96 for his first extension. On July 31, 2015, $95.54 was due for his second extension. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] did not make this payment. As a result, a $7.50 late fee was assessed to his account balance. On August 14, 2015, the full balance of $470.54 was due. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] did not make this payment. We received notification from Mr. [redacted]’s financial institution that he notified his bank that CashNetUSA was not authorized to charge his bank account for a particular transaction. Therefore, CashNetUSA has not attempted to debit his account. However, as a result, a $23.53 late fee was assessed to his account balance. Contrary to Mr. [redacted]’s statement, his outstanding balance was $597.11. On February 3, 2016, Mr. [redacted] paid $494.07, thereby leaving a remaining balance of $103.04. At this time Mr. [redacted]’s outstanding balance is $103.04. Mr. [redacted] is a returning customer and has also extended on a previous [redacted] (Brokered) loan he had with CashNetUSA. Therefore, it appears Mr. [redacted] is aware of our extension processes. Based on the findings of our review, Mr. [redacted]’s account balance is accurate. However, since Mr. [redacted] has asserted that he would like to cease telephone communications with CashNetUSA. We have honored his request.CashNetUSA strives to provide the ultimate customer experience; as such our compliance department has attempted to contact Mr. [redacted] in regards to his account balance. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] has declined to speak with us. We are willing to answer any remaining and/or outstanding questions he may regarding his account. We ask that he please contact our Compliance Department directly at [redacted] for assistance. We hope that this response resolves this complaint and answers any questions that your office has. If we can provide any additional information, please contact us.

Thank you for forwarding the customers correspondence to our attention. We contacted Ms. [redacted] to ensure any outstanding issues were addressed, however she indicated that she was working with a credit counseling service and had no further questions or concerns. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this matter caused Ms. [redacted] and we thank her for taking the time to express her concerns. We hope that this response resolves this complaint and answers any questions that your office has. If we can provide any additional information, please contact us.

I am rejecting this response because: none of my payments to date have been twoards the loan. They are all for fees and principal. I don’t believe that this is justified. I have paid $122.65 twice a month since December and I still owe them over $700 dollars for a $1000 loan. This means that I have paid $1226.50 to date.
Sincerely,
Tara [redacted]

On October 9, 2015, Mr. [redacted] opened a $800.00 Flex Loan Plan Account with CashNetUSA. Before he became bound by the agreement, CashNetUSA...

disclosed the interest, fees, and charges to be charged under the flex loan plan. Mr. [redacted] signed his Flex loan agreement stating he understood and agreed to the terms and conditions associated with the flex loan plan. The interest and fees applicable to his open-end credit plan were clearly set forth in the agreement supplied to Mr. [redacted] when he opened the account.   At all relevant times, our lending, fees, interest, and charges have complied with the applicable laws. Over the course of Mr. [redacted]’s relationship with CashNetUSA he has requested and received numerous advances. As set forth in Mr. [redacted]’s Flex Loan agreement a customary fee is an account administration fee of 0.69% that is based on the daily principal balance and the number of days outstanding. In addition to disclosing the charging structure from the outset, we keep our customers informed by supplying periodic statements. Amongst other loan details, the due date, minimum payment amount, and account balance are shown on each periodic statement. Based on the findings of our review, we do not agree with Mr. [redacted]’ complaint for the reasons stated, and therefore will not be able to honor his refund request. We value Mr.[redacted] as a customer and would be happy to address any outstanding questions/concerns he may have regarding his Flex loan plan account.  We ask that he please contact our compliance department at 888-801-9075 ext 5603 for assistance. have determined that this is fraud and CashNetUSA is not responsible for or participating in the complained about conduct. CashNetUSA is not associated in any way with the persons referenced in this complaint. We are not attempting to contact Mr. [redacted] and have no knowledge of the calls that Mr. [redacted] mentions in his complaint. CashNetUSA has not attempted to contact Mr. [redacted] regarding a loan and any disbursement of funds as we do not have an account under his name or the contact information that he provided in our system. Based on the details of the complaint, it is clear that Mr. [redacted] has been contacted by fraudsters falsely posing as consumer lenders.  While we sympathize with Mr. [redacted] situation, we cannot take action because the complaint is not related to CashNetUSA. Thank you for forwarding this complaint. We take all complaints seriously and make every effort to implement a fair and satisfactory resolution. As an initial matter, CashNetUSA is authorized to provide financial services to residents of Virginia.  On March 25, 2016, Ms. [redacted] opened a $750.00...

limit Line of Credit through CashNetUSA. Before she entered into the contract, CashNetUSA disclosed, amongst other information, the terms and costs associated with the Line of Credit. Ms. [redacted] then signed her loan agreement acknowledging that she understood and accepted the terms and conditions associated with the Line of Credit. Over the course of her relationship with CashNetUSA, she has taken four (4) advances and has made only the minimum payment due in each billing period. Ms. [redacted] always has the option to make extra payments or repay the amount outstanding in full at any time without penalty. As set forth in Ms. [redacted] Line of Credit agreement, she is required to make at least the minimum payment every billing period she carries a balance. The minimum amount due on each due date is the sum of interest accrued over the billing period, plus 15% of the outstanding principal and fees. The daily periodic rate applied to her account is 0.8192%. The corresponding Annual Percentage Rate is 299%. In addition to interest, there is also a transaction fee. The transaction fee applies to every advance requested and it is made up of 15% of the amount borrowed. In addition to disclosing the charging structure from the outset, we keep our customers informed by supplying periodic statements. Amongst other account details, the due date, minimum payment amount, and account balance are shown on each periodic statement. Based on our review, we cannot honor Ms. [redacted]’ request to clear her balance as nothing has come to our attention that causes us to believe that we have breached applicable regulations or standards. We have, however, honored her request to stop automatic debits from her bank account - effective immediately. It should be noted that cancellation of electronic debit authorization does not relieve Ms. [redacted] of her obligation to pay her loan; if payments are not made on time, we will be forced to start collection procedures. CashNetUSA values Ms. [redacted] as a customer and we are happy to answer any additional questions she may have regarding her account. We ask that she please contact our customer service department at [redacted] should she want to get in touch. I am rejecting this response because:
I will not give them anything when they have illegally tried to issue a loan in my name. I have a credit lock and they never called to verify. They can keep repeating the same thing over and over it doesnt change that I am not filing a police report as it does absolutely nothing for me but take time. I want to know what the third party is that tried to pull ny credit and get a loan without calling to confirm as is supposed to happen with a credit lock. You are [redacted] to think ill give you more info when you are supposed to have [redacted] zero on me in the first place.
Sincerely,
