Change My Postal Address.com Reviews (128)

Review: I went to change my address and the first thing that popped up was a heading "USPS address change-Official USPS form" with the trademark included. So I continued on to change my address how I always have. Expecting to be charged a dollar. So I continued on about my address change, only to find out I was charge $39.95 to simply change my address. I believe that this business should not be allowed to use the USPS trademark. It made me think that I was going through the postal service. This is misrepresenting and misleading. I would like a refund. I work in adverting, and I would be fired if I ever placed a misleading add that ripped people off.Desired Settlement: I would like my full refund of $39.95 and I will change my address with the real postal service.

Review: When using the site changemypostaladdress.com, we were notified of a $1.05 charge for the service, but a fee of $39.95 was NOT disclosed in an open and transparent way before purchasing the service.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my money to the credit card that I used.

Review: I changed the address through ChangeMyPostalAddress.com, and was charged $39.99. I immediately realized that it was not the official USPS website, and tried to contact them to get refund. They only have contact by email available on the website, and when I emailed them, I received a delivery failure notice. They have no other contact information.

It seems that this company is a scam and does not exist. I hope there is a way to receive the money back.Desired Settlement: Refund of $39.99.

Review: In the process of selling a home and buying a home one of the things one needs to do is update their address. I just put in change my address and the first link that came up I took for granted was a legit site. I input my information and when it asked for a card it never stated it was going to charge me 40.05, it simply stated to help confirm the address. It was misleading and very irritating to see the charge on my card a few days later. I went back to the site and in the midst of all the small print there is a statement of a charge of 39.95, so yes it is there, but you have to look for it. They should be advising and confirming that you are authorizing a charge on your card for that amount. I truly believe that what they did was fraud.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I do not want their service and do not need it. In the future I will be sure to go straight through [redacted].

Hello,Unfortunately the company does not provide an address or telephone number for people to contact them at, conveniently. When you click on the "Contact us" it leads to a form to send a message.

Review: My mother attempted to go to the USPS.com site but was misdirected to the www.changemypostaladdress.com website instead. The site appeared official, so she did not realize it was *not* the USPS. She went through with the transaction and was charged $39.95 to change her address. (The USPS charges only $1.05 for this same service.) When she told me that the charge for this service seemed strange for a government agency, I attempted to look into the matter (based on the email confirmation she received) but was unable to find any contact information for this company--or even a record of it in her web browser on the date she was charged. This website seems to have erased its tracks on her PC. I was able to track down the website by googling "change of address" and then asked my mother if she recognized the site. She confirmed that she did, and I was able to log into the site using her email address and a password in the email they sent.Had the company provided any contact information, I would have followed up with them directly and would not be filing a complaint here. What troubles me most is the apparent malicious cyber activity (erasing browser activity) that accompanied this questionable transaction--causing me concern for the safety of our credit card number and other personal information. I have also disputed the charge with our credit card company and will be filing a fraud alert.Thank you in advance for your attention.Desired Settlement: I am requesting 1) a full refund and 2) for this company to remove all of our information from their records, whether electronic or otherwise.

Review: I reached this website in a search for the United States Postal Service. The website was misleading and when I put in my information for the charge I thought it would be for the $1.05 that is usually changed by the postal service. The USPS trademark appears numerous times on their page. "All sales are guaranteed and a no-questions-asked refund is available if you are not satisfied with your order." This statement is listed in there small print but the contact address is not real or not in America and the email contact is to a link where mail is not receivable. I could not request a refund because there is no means to do it. I sent numerous emails over the course of time.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund because that is listed as part of their policy and I feel I was mislead in the first place.

Review: The company was intentionally misleading and used very fine print to state the $39.95 charge that would be charged to my account. I mistook the company for the ACTUAL usps website and entered my card information assuming I would be charged the required $1.05. I noticed on my bank account the larger amount. Poor business practice and intentionally misleading customers. Unacceptable.Desired Settlement: A refund in the amount of $39.95 as was the amount charged to my debit card.

Review: This site looks exactly like the USPS change address website that I have used many times before for only $1. There is absolutely no reason I should be paying them $39.95 to do nothing. I was under the impression that this was the form provided on the USPS website and that I was doing this process directly through them. I was never informed that I would be charged $39.95 for nothing. This webpage is extremely misleading and it is disgusting how much they probably get away with ripping people off this way. If I wouldn't have checked my bank statement I NEVER would have known this charge was made.I was under the impression that I was being charged $1 for this process through the official USPS webpage.Desired Settlement: Please refund the complete $39.95 as I was never aware this would be charged.

The company is named change my address and the website is : https://www.changemypostaladdress.com/index.jsp

They do not provide any contact information on their site.

Review: Acted as though they were the official [redacted]. Made no mention of their $39.95 service, and acted as if it would be the normal $1.05 service. After payment, their "confirmation" did not have a confirmation number. Nor did it mentioned no dollar amount and failed to offer a service to contact them or cancel my order.Desired Settlement: Full refund and never contact me again. Preferably removed from the internet.

Review: Their site did not say anything on how much it would cost until after the charges were made to my card. The contact system doesnt work so there is no way to even contact them about this issue.Desired Settlement: All I want is the money I should not have been charged in the first place back.

Response:

The site does not tell you how much they charge until after they charge you. My daughter let me use her credit card and it needs to be refunded. The site's "contact us" doesn't even work so there is no way to get ahold of them. Something needs to be done.

Review: I needed to change my address because of a move. I thought I was on the post office website, but ended up being on this website. They charged me $40 to do what the post office does for a dollar on their site. I tried to contact them about a refund. No response. I tried to contact them about the situation several times, but have received no response.Desired Settlement: I want a complete refund. This is a scam and they should not be allowed to operate.

Review: I have contacted them twice asking for a refund of a ridiculous charge of 39.95 to change the address. I didn't realize it was a scam at the time, and it wasn't until it charged my card that it said the price. but what frustrates me the most is they didnt even get the address right!Desired Settlement: a full refund credited to my account

Review: I was looking for the USPS website to change my address this company popped up with the heading of the united states post office. I applied to change my address. Two days later I see a charge for $39.95 and it was supposed to be for a dollar. I contacted this company 5 times via their contact us page which does not list a phone number only the option to send an email from the page and someone will contact you back via email. I informed hem hey needed to refund my money ad I thought they were the post office and that I do not authorize them to charge my account. They never refunded the most ey which at that point 10/12/2015 the fee was pending. Hey have not contacted or canceled the charge and this has been 5 business days with no response. I need my money refunded and any information that they have about me deleted.Desired Settlement: Refund and any of my information canceled immediately with further charges to my account or I will take legal action against then for fraudulent charges, and false advertising.

Review: The address change service was misrepresented. Website claims that they give no questions asked refunds. I emailed the customer service department and received no response. There is no telephone number listed.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund for the service that was paid for and received. I want a full refund just as the website advertises.

Review: I was redirected automatically from the USPS official site while trying to change my mailing address, to a window for Changemypostaladdress.com that markets itself as in affiliation with USPS. I thought this was the official USPS site, and entered in my credit card information for what should have been 1$ to change my address. However, I was charged immediately $39.95 without my permission to pay this amount for changing my mailing address, let alone from a third party source that has no affiliation with USPS. This is a scam!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $39.95 taken without my permission.

Review: I was charged twice for submitting forms for an address change which later I found out were 39.95. In the terms of their service it states if you are not satisfied u are subject to a full refund without question. I've sent many emails and have had no response from anyone associated with the site, and still have the payments on my accountDesired Settlement: I would like for the 2 payments of 39.95 refunded back to my account

Review: I thought I was changing my address w/ the USPS for $1.00 and was charged $39.95 instead. My address was never changed. I finally was able to change my address through the official site and charged the requisite $1.05. This 'Change my Address' company is not responding to my refund demands.Desired Settlement: I wish my money to be refunded as this company did not deliver on their initial promise to change my address, nor made it clear they were not the official USPS site.

Review: I was trying to change my address and went through this site. After I processed this I realized I was charged $39.95 and when I tried to contact them for a cancellation and refund which they claim to provide with no questions asked, my email was bounced back and not sent to them. There seems to be no way to contact them about the refund.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a full refund and cancel whatever service they may give if any.

Review: The company represents themselves as the USPS, but they are not. They charge a inflated rate of $39.95 for a service that is offered for $1.05 on the USPS. They do not tell you the cost of the service. I only found out I wasn't dealing with the USPS when I received the $39.95 fee. There is no contact information to file a complaint directly with the company.Desired Settlement: Refund my credit card for the $39.95 fee.

Review: I recently moved and attempted to change my address online.I thought I was routed to USPS.com, however Changemypostaladdress.com was misleading in that it looks similar to the United States Postal Service website.I entered my updated information and was prompted to provide payment via Visa card for a one time charge of $1.05 in order for my address to be forwarded. I was fine with that. Unfortunately within a few days, I saw $39.99 debited from my account for address forwarding. I was not expecting this charge, and was not informed prior to submitting my payment information that I would be charged $39.99Desired Settlement: I would like my $39.99 credited back to me immediately. Their practices are dead wrong and sneaky.I suggest changemypsotaladdress.com make their fees clear on their homepage instead of stealing payment!
