Review: On April 25th I googled "forward my mail" and was recommended by Google to use the USPS website. The charge for this service was listed at $1.05 so I started filling out the form. I entered my debit card information last and was expecting to be given a subtotal or total but instead, I was left in the dark with a hardly detailed message saying I would receive a confirmation of the address change in 7-10 days and was immediately charged $39.95 and it is pending in my bank account as I type. I was never told a price of $39.95 .. in fact it was advertised as 1.05. on their website. they explain in their terms ( that I have only just now read because it is no where on the site until after they get your card number) that a full refund with no questions asked will be awarded by contacting the company. Well the only way to contact them is through a contact us box and every time I demand a cancellation and refund but it bounces back to my email address. I have tried over 20 times and still same result. I have called my bank and they changed my card number but they are not sure if the charge will still post or not now that I have contacted the bank. If that does happen I will have to file a fraudulent charge on my account. I have to change all of my utilities and bills now because I can no longer use my debit number. I need a refund but there is no way to reach them and if I did get a refund I need a check because I have to change my card numbers. Scam!Desired Settlement: I need a full refund mailed to me because I had to change my cars numbers because of this scam.

Review: Changemypostaladdress.com deceptively claims association with the USPS as well as makes no mention of the charges prior to executing payment. Their business practices are deceitful as well as unethical.Desired Settlement: Refund the full amount of the payment made.

Review: I needed a change of address and changemypostaladdress.com veiled itself as the USPS official form. I was asked to input my credit card information for validation but nowhere near was a price included. My account was charged $39.95 and I didn't even receive a confirmation email stating that charge. They claim to offer a no questions asked refund, but when contacted twice, no response and no refund. I would like my money refunded.Desired Settlement: I would like my total money refunded

Review: This business clearly wants to trick you into thinking their website is the official site of the USPS for submitting a change of address. The USPS charges $1 for this service, but this business charged my credit card $39.95. They never disclose the amount they will charge your card, and I only discovered this when viewing my credit card statement. I am computer programmer and make websites for a living, but even I fell for it. I suspect they also sold our contact information to other parties without our consent. I submitted a change of address for me, my wife, and my business. Thus, a total of $39.95 x 3 = $119.85 was unethically charged.Desired Settlement: Cancel all charges. Remove all information about me, my wife, and my business from your accounts and from any other parties to whom you disclosed our information.

Review: This company does not inform you of a charge, and then after they process the form, they charge you $39.95.Desired Settlement: I would like an immediate refund as this seems to be a very huge scam.

Review: Upon accessing this website, I was mislead to believe it was the official USPS website to change my address. I filled out my information as prompted to do on the first page (similar to the USPS website I've used previously). After filling out my info, I was led to a screen to input my card information. This seemed normal and I was aware the USPS will charge $1 - $1.50 to update your address online. There was no confirmation info, no sub total or total shown to confirm that I was aware of what I would be charged after inputting my card information. It wasn't until AFTER my card was processed I found that I was charged $39.95. I have since made several attempts to contact the company via written requests (as they have NO phone number or any other contact info available). I have yet to receive a response and continue to get confirmation email for this service that I want canceled immediately due to the ridiculous price and deceptive advertising.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refunded issued to my card as soon as possible.

Review: I was scamed when I tried to change my address for USPS. The company charged me 39.95, and refuses to refund me my money. It is a scam that pretends to be the official USPS site, and thus commits fraud against consumers who are trying to move.Desired Settlement: I would like an immediate refund and cancelation.

Review: This service portrays itself as a USPS affiliate. Then charges you 39.95 for an address change. There is no way to contact this company by phone or email. My address has not been changed. My money has been stolen.Desired Settlement: I would like 39.95 returned to me.Ideally this company would be shut down. But I will settle for a refund.

Review: Appears to be official USPS site. Does not clearly state you will be charged $39.95 for using the service!Desired Settlement: Cancel service and fees

Review: I went online to change my postal address. The company advertises so that one thinks it's a USPS site to change one's postal address...I found out that it is not and the company charged me $39.99 to change my postal address when I was informed that it should only cost $1.09 to do this.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund.

Review: Postal address change scam!!!! 39.95Desired Settlement: Refund & these scammers put out of business!

Review: This company has appears to be in association with [redacted] but is in fact a dishonest company that charged me over $40 without clear confirmation ahead of time. Only upon looking at my bank account did I find that they charged me a ridiculous fee that, if done straight through [redacted], costs little more than a dollar. An internet search revealed that this site is absolute scam! They are ripping people off and taking advantage of people. I'm not even sure that my address will be changed in the end and I just paid $40 for absolutely nothing.Desired Settlement: I want my money back.

Review: Submitted payment and then noticed it was 40 dollars instead of the post offices 1 dollar to change my address. Called company 4 times over the course of a week requesting a refund. They claim they "cannot find my information" even though I was charged the day after I submitted payment. They claim they will call me back within 72 hours but after 1 week they never called.Desired Settlement: I would like my $39.95 refunded.

Review: I went online to change my address through the USPS. When I searched I found this website which made themselves look like the actual USPS. I filled the form out, and today I looked to see what I am charged and they charged me 39.95!!! They gave no warning of their fees, and didn't list it anywhere! Their advertising is misleading, too. This website should not be allowed to run. They just scam everyone who uses it. Now I am trying to get my money back and I can't get a hold of anyone! Please help.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my 39.95 refunded back to me. I was expecting to see a one or two dollar charge, but instead I got a 40 dollar charge. They never stated in the process how much they charge until after the process is over.

Review: Led to believe this was a USPS official change of address site. It is the first website to be advertised via Google. the first charge is the standard $1.05, but just before completion they proceed to charge $39.95. Even if this process is not confirmed, they charge this amount regardless.Desired Settlement: A full refund and no questions asked or any further issues from this business. The website and business extinguished 100%. Through research, this has been going on since 2013. It is unacceptable that this has not been eradicated yet. Legal action will be taken to the fullest extent of the law if full refund is not given in a timely manner and any information business has about me erased.

Review: On March 6th I googled change my address. The first thing that pops on the Google list is www.changemypostaladdress.com. It has the usps logo and all. I click on it. It says 2 easy steps to change my address. I enter in my old and new address and then my email and credit card. I clicked submit like a dummy thinking it was the real usps postal service. It says I will receive an email confirmation. I was confused as to why it did not tell me the price. I go to my email and have nothing. I immediately Google the website and come to find out it's nothing but a scam. I called he bank immediately and canceled my card and they said they had charged me 39.95 and I can disputed it when it posts. It finally posted on March 12th. I have tried to dispute it twice and the bank has denied it because I gave the website my email and card number. Well duh....I thought I was on the usps website and was going to pay a dollar. I have told them over and over again that I did authorize something. Not 39.95 and my address was never even changed. So they failed to rendur their services. I finally got my address changes in March 13th with the real post office and am now starting to receive my mail. I just want a refund and for that company or scam to be shut downDesired Settlement: A full refund and them to be shut down

Review: Website charged $39.95 for a service that is free to do online and did not post this charge visible anywhere on the site before my credit card was billed. Upon closer inspection they did put the $39.95 in extremely small print on the purchase page, intentionally misleading the customer and tricking them into paying.Desired Settlement: $39.95 credited back to my account

Response:

No business address is listed on their website. I checked contact us and about pages.

Review: My family recently moved. My wife went to google and typed "forward mail" to find the USPS webpage to change our address. She had done this before with the USPS and clicked on the first link at the top of google. This time, the first link was to a website, changemypostaladdress.com. However, my wife didn't notice that. The webpage looks similar to the USPS webpage and even has USPS in the top left corner (which happens to be the first place people look on a webpage, as taught in any marketing class). She entered our old and new address and had to enter our credit card info. She didn't realize she was going to be charged $39.95 for the service. The webpage has a paragraph with $39.95 and $1.05. She only saw the $1.05 figure.

The webpage says that they will refund the charge in full without questions asked if we are dissatisfied with the service. On April 14th, my wife submitted a request for a refund. She received a response stating a refund would be processed and deposited back into our account within 3-5 business days, but the funds were not refunded. Again we requested the funds to be refunded, but again 3-5 days later, the funds had not been refunded.

To summarize, I have two complaints:

1. The webpage is deceiving. It appears to be a USPS webpage at first glance. In small print on two parts of the page it says the charge will be $1.05, and on another part it says the charge will be $39.95. If you do not look at both ends of the page, you may only see one of the two figures.

2. The company did not refund the charge of $39.95 as they stated they would. We requested the refund twice. We waited 3-5 business days as the company requested after each request. My credit card company said they will refund the charge to my card, so as for now, I am not seeking a refund.Desired Settlement: Someone should look into this business and determine if they way they are conducting business is deceptive.

Review: I too got taken in by changemypostaladdress.com. I was in a hurry, in the middle of my move, and didn't realize I had ended up on masquerade site until it was too late. I visited there site, it say that they will charge me 1.05$ for the service, instead they charged 30.5$ which was nowhere mentioned on the site. I thought to call there customer care center but strangely they had no contact information. To my luck somebody has posted the number which I called to which is ###-###-####. Again a shock!!!!!!!!!!!!! They said they couldn't find me in the system. I asked for refund so they told me that we had to wait 48 - 72 hours and they will call/mail back. Since I was complaining I asked for any complaint number to track my complain but they were unable to provide me with that .Desired Settlement: I want my all the refund bback

Review: Falsely pretends to be USPS, Fraudulent Advertising who they are, charging $40 for a $1.05 serviceDesired Settlement: Lawsuit, close business
