I have made multiple attempts to discuss what happened to my account with multiple Citi reps via calling, web chat and even writing a letter. Each time I am told that my account states to tell me to write a letter. I write a letter and get no response. I have escalated my call to supervisors and they state that they wish they had more information for me but that they have limited information. Citi is sending me in circles and doesnt want to explain why they closed my account or what I can do to resolve the issue.

Here]citis response letter stated that I should contact the merchant and try to resolve the matter. I explained to them that I have tried with no return call from the owner. Also citi stated that their policy states that I only have a 100 mile radius from home for any disputes. So you can never use this card on any travel but they have travel notifications for travel. This is crazy. when does citi stand by its customers???

Citi® Prepaid Services received the complaint submitted on March **, 2015 from [redacted] regarding a prepaid card issued by Citi Prepaid Services on behalf of...

[redacted] [redacted].  As a business that aims to provide a positive cardholder experience, we endeavor to resolve all cardholder issues in a thorough and satisfactory manner.
 
After researching [redacted]’s complaint, it was confirmed that this prepaid card was issued in June 2014 with an expiration date of December **, 2014.  In accordance with applicable law and regulations, this expiration date was embossed on the front of the card; displayed on the cardholder materials (i.e., “valid thru 12/**”); disclosed in the terms and conditions that accompanied the card with an explanation that the funds would no longer be available after the expiration date
 
We spoke with the customer on March **, 2015 when he related that he had been with his son in a hospital for several months and did not think about this card.  As a one-time courtesy, the account balance was reissued, and a new card sent to the address on file in the amount of $10.00.

 Their response essentially states that I should contact myself,  that's utterly ridiculous.  So, even with the Revdex.com as a mediator,  Citi is proving impossible to get a hold of.  Their response backs up my claim that they will not communicate with me,  their customer.
