Review: When I called [redacted] with a question about my router, I was transferred to another man who proceeded to tell me that my computer was infected with something that caused it to stop working properly. He pulled up a screen that showed a list of programs that said stopped with a red error sign in the left column. He said I had to do something right now because my computer was in a crisis status, and he said he could fix everything for $299.00. I reluctantly agreed to this because I was very frightened and I thought this was a part of [redacted], which is supposed to be a reputable company. While fixing my so-called computer problems, he tried to sell me a more expensive security system, which I declined. When I later discovered this was really a company called Click4support, which I had never heard of, I knew I had been duped. I don't think there was anything wrong with my computer in the first place, I was not having any problems with my computer when I called [redacted]. I have asked Click4support for a refund, but I have not heard anything from them.Desired Settlement: Refund to my credit card.

name is [redacted] and I work in the Finance Department of Click4Support.

Please accept my sincere apology for the undesirable customer service

you received. We are an independent Technical Support Firm and there

have been occasions where our Technician's are unable to fix a

Customer's issue. Our client base is presently greater than 40,000

Customers.

On November 6, 2014, at about 7:30 PM I began attempting to connect my new [redacted] computer to my [redacted]’s printer. After several unsuccessful attempts I went on the internet for help. I found a website named:
###-###-#### [redacted] Printer Technical Support Number [redacted].
I called the number on the website and a man named Henry answered. He said that he could help me but he needed to first take control of my computer to determine what was wrong. He directed me to a website which allowed him to control my computer. He went through a diagnostic procedure which checked three things: CPU, Software and Network. When “Network” was checked a sound was emitted. He then informed me that this sound meant my network had been taken over by an outside entity and showed me the code which, ostensively, was evidence for this. He said he could take care of the problem and fix my printer problem for $398. I paid the fee on my credit card.
Henry said the problem would be fixed in 2 hours and they would contact me then. He then transferred me to another man. He said he was the [redacted] PC expert. I told him my problem was with not with a [redacted] PC but with an [redacted]. He then said he was the [redacted] expert also. He proceeded to perform the same “CPU, Software and Network” procedure that Henry had performed previously. When I told him that this “diagnosis” had already been performed, he asked me to go to [redacted]; find “Trojan Horse”; and read the definition aloud. I told him I would not do this. Then he showed me a graph and informed me that the hacker who broke into my computer could hack into it again in the future and that they could sell me a continuing service to make sure this wouldn’t happen again. I fully realized now that I was the victim of scam.
At this point I asked to be returned to Henry. I informed him that I wanted my money back. After arguing with him for 15 minutes I realized that the money was gone. The company, apparently called” Click4support”, sent me an email containing the Terms and Conditions of their support package which appear to be carefully written so that I have little redress in this matter.
Frank F[redacted]

This company masqueraded as [redacted] tech support--which they are not.
They showed me an "analysis" of my computer "proving" my security had been breached--by at least 7 people. I initially believed them, and ended forking out over $1,000--stupid me. They are completely bogus! And when I told them I had been scammed, they called many days in a row trying to prove they were legit. All of the callers had Indian accents.
The corporate headquarters address they give in Essex Connecticut is actually a post office!

I subscribed to their service in February, 2015. I had need of support on three occasions since then and have had absolutely zero problems. They quickly resolved my issues. I was surprised when I called today and received the message that they had suspended operations with no time frame given for a restart.

Review: click4support stated they have an A+ rating with the Revdex.com. I would like to be refunded for $999 click4support took after I fell for their pitch. They provided no service. I had trouble with [redacted] and clicked on their ad thinking they were [redacted] support. The number I called was ###-###-####. After they accessed my computer, usinglogmeinrescue, I was told I had multiple viruses and should take better care of my computer. Believing they were A* rated I gave out my card numbers. Another 'service' was called [redacted]. The second number I was told to call was ###-###-####.Later my nephew told me they did not remove viruses from my computer, they removed an anti-virus program. My nephew, [redacted] is an IT tech. I tried to cancel my debit card but the money came out on the second try. One charge was $199 and the other was $800. Further they stated I would be charged $599 & $400 for lifetime support against viruses, etc. Again my nephew has heard of them scamming other clients. [redacted] is co-owner of [redacted].I am requesting a full refund and an investigation so others are not duped. I am a [redacted]' member and have never filed a complaint before.I have notes I took that day. The signature on the contract they asked me to sign is a virtual signature from a font they told mt to pick. I chose a font unlike my signature.Desired Settlement: Full refund for service not provided and an investigation into how [redacted] access problems are connected to this business.

Dear Ms. [redacted]:

My

name is [redacted] and I am the Customer Service Manager for Click4Support

and I am responding to your Complaint with the Revdex.com. Let

me please be the first person from our Company to extend my sincere

apologies for the bad experience you received working with our

Technician. Our Client base exceeds 30,000 customers and there are times where our technicians are unsuccessful in resolving an issue.

The Owner of this Company is all about providing 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee to each and every Customer. As you requested, we have issued (2) refunds to your credit card totaling: $999.00. (Please see the attached)

Click4Support

does provide online remote support to Customers and they do use LogMeIn

which is an industry standard access tool. Never the less, I am

surprised to hear that they did not properly solve the issue you called

in about and for that, I will absolutely research the root cause.

Aside from your full refund, I am listening to the recordings, I am

reading the ticket notes and I am trying to understand further how or

what this agent was thinking. It is unacceptable.

We

are an honest Company and we will not tolerate anything less than good

customer support, hence the reason we have our refund policy in place.

I

know you stated that your nephew heard this might be scam and that is

not by any means our charter. Our sales persons, perhaps occasionally

too aggressive sell monthly computer support plans that include system

optimization, security protection and system tuning. As you have stated

this was not done (not properly) we believe you and hence we do our

best to correct these issues at the root.

I

hope that you are completely satisfied with your full refund and I am

doing further investigation now. Please feel free to call me at ###-###-#### and request to speak to [redacted].

Sincerely,

Review: I contacted [redacted] to get help w/my printer-It was printing EVERYTHNG in pink-I started the call 10/19 @10:35pm w/[redacted]-He told me I had a virus from [redacted] & that it would cost me $600 to fix-I told him I didn't have any money, & know that it isn't a virus turning my pictures pink? He transferred me to [redacted], but on the "remote", his name was [redacted] told me no, it wasn't a virus, it was a computer hacker who was turning my pictures pink & that I needed Malware bytes Security System, & he'd give me a deal for $299. I told him I still couldn't afford this, I just wanted to know what was wrong w/my printer, I couldn't imagine why a hacker would want to turn my pictures pink? He said he could fix the printer & put the Security on in 45-60 min & he'd made a deal so I could have this for $129-Aftger a few hours, he had me replaced 3 of the ink cartridges that weren't empty, & had expiration dates of 2014 on them, but I couldn't print on my ** Advanced papers, I needed to use "plain papers" (That still isn't fixed yet)Now the blacks were green colored, but at least, the pictures weren't all pink??? By 4:57AM 10/20, I told him I was sick of this all, I just wanted him to get out of my computer-He put on the 3rd person [redacted]- [redacted] told me it now owe another $99, for "services" that were going to: cleanup my computer, fix my printer, & give me the Malware Bytes Microsoft software-I ask what [redacted] had been doing for the past 6 1/2 hours? Oh, he was "working on all this for me". Just give them 5 more minutes? I said I'd had enough-Then, FINALLY @5:30AM, after 7 hours, [redacted] tells me, they were finished, My printer would work, & my computer is safe-But gee, I owe them $228. So basically, I talked with 3 representatives, over 7 hours, to find out it was my faulty ** ink cartridges, & I got to pay $228, for it, & it turns out I'm talking w/Click 4 Support, not [redacted]? I don't even know how I got switched over to them? My invoice #is [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want my $228 refunded to my credit card for the following reasons: 7 hours when they told me 45-60 minutes-3 representatives, who told me different reasons for my printer not working: ie:[redacted] virus, computer hacker-different prices, $599, $299, $129, & in the end I paid $228. I thought I was dealing with [redacted], I still have no clue how I ended up with Click 4 Support, or I would NEVER have stayed on the phone. I used to think [redacted] was a reputable business.

Review: On October 1, 2013, I seemed unable to find or open my [redacted] Calendar, where I had many important dates and appointments all the way up to next February. I called for help, and gave them access to my computer. They ran all over it, clicking on this and that while I just watched, never finding the calendar. They concluded I had been hacked and offered a security package for one year at $299 or lifetime at $699, which they reduced to $599 for a senior citizen rate. More or less desperate, I signed up for the year first, and then finally the lifetime offer at the $599 rate. (They charged my credit card in two installments.) Afterward, I found my calendar intact, because I realized I had actually been trying to find it in the wrong location. So, it wasnt anything THEY did; it was a simple mistake on my part. I called back to cancel the security package, but they told me it was too late. I wasnt hacked, I was conned!Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund.

Response:

Review: I am Filing this report on behalf of my Mother. She is 76 years old and was bullied into thinking her computer was hacked and Click4Support would fix it for her. She was scared she would not be able to use her computer due to the hacking and not be able to communicate with her family in MA. Click4Support charged her $1496. After I told her to stop them and cancel the contract the person on the other end would not cancel and was so rude to her. They have a 30day money back guarantee on there services. Click4Support refused to do the 30 day money back guarantee for her. She called her CC to remove the charges and filed the proper paperwork, but yet again Click4Support lied to the Credit card company and they wont remove the charges. I am pleading with you to help my mother get a refund of this crazy charge for services she never got or needed. They are taking advantage of a woman who is on a fixed income. How many other elderly customers have they taken advantage of.Desired Settlement: Would like a refund of total amount charged to her Chase Credit Card. $1496

I asked where the tech was from, he insisted he was from Wisconsin, he definitely was from India, language barriers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also the way that I was geared to their site was a scam, now that I have been through it

Technician was not able to fix my problem. They kept trying to install third party software and when that one didn’t ‘work’ went searching for another all while link to my computer.
Give them a call back number and specific times to call me back. A week later NO call back!
I was able to fix the issue myself after struggling for that week.
Now when I lodged a complaint and asked for a refund they insist that their technician did fix my issue.
Nothing could be further from the truth and the billing department will not refund!
I would never recommend their service for computer-software issues!

Company portrayed itself as a [redacted] Tech support.
This is while I was searching for a phone number for [redacted] for my Cable TV Problem. The tech on the other line said that my IP address had been compromised and that 83 other Identities were using my IP address. I told him that I was looking to fix my TV not my internet and he said that they were connected services so I would have to get rid of this problem, he then stated that he was a [redacted] Certified technician and would be happy to assist me and get rid of the Identities on my I P address. Of course for a Charge of $398.00. After this 3 hour ordeal nothing was fixed and I deduced that I was just scammed. I have cancelled my credit card and the cc company has issued me a refund for my charges. Do not use this company they are deceitful and prey on the trusting.

Review: I contacted click 4 support to have them help me to unlock an [redacted].Desired Settlement: I paid 69.00.

Consumer

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

I am requesting a refund of 69.00 from Click4Support because I stated to the person on the phone the specific problem I was having with my [redacted]. I asked him if he could help me resolve the issue for me. (the issue was that my [redacted] was locked and I wanted him to help me unlock it. ) I thought I was talking to a real [redacted] tech person. After lots of time and lots of doing things on my computer the tech told me he could not unlock the [redacted]. At that time I realized he was not an [redacted] tech guy and he did not resolve my problem as promised in the beginning of the phone call. I asked him , at that point, to please refund my 69.00 payment that I made, assuming that he would resolve my issue. I explained that I thought he was a tech for [redacted]. I did not understand his reply. I think it was to the effect that he downloaded a anti malware program onto my computer, I told him I did not call him to have that installed and that he did not deliver what I had asked him to do.

Review: Approximately 6 weeks ago, I was scammed into purchasing [redacted] for my PC and laptop. I paid a 99.99 plus tax which came to $107.00. They continued to call me constantly to try to get me to purchase another program, in which they would maintain my computers for one whole year. I refused and suddenly I started to get a pop up stating my AVG Premium 2014 Internet Security had an illegal copy. On this program it stated it expires Feb 26, 2018, although I purchased in August. Transaction was August 9, 2014 and posted August 11, 2014. I would like to recover this $107. I did remove this program from my computers. A tech support took control of my computer and installed this program, which I allowed, but did not realize this was a scam. When I contacted them about this pop up they asked permission again to fix my computer, so at this time I let them again and they left my computer in safe mode and 2 agents one after another suddenly restarted it magically so that it would only start up in safe mode. I did get this corrected. All I want is my money back since it was not a legal program. This is the code I had on this program. [redacted]. tHIS PROGRAM WAS FOR THE USE OF 3 COMPUTERS AND THEY INSTALLED IT ON 2.Desired Settlement: $107.00, PLUS ENOUGH TO PURCHASE A LEGAL VERSION FOR 3 COMPUTER ON MY OWN WITHOUT A GURU TAKING CONTROL OF MY COMPUTER. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

**EMAIL TO CUSTOMER**

Good afternoon [redacted],

Review: To Whom It May Concern,Re:Click4Support.net###-###-####Customer Service #[redacted]I have had my [redacted] email account for at least five years with no issues. Last week I received an email from what I thought was [redacted] stating that my password had been compromised and that I needed to change it immediatelyThis was a mistake; I had opened a virus and could no longer get into my email. I have made multiple attempts to reach [redacted] to include emails sent on several days. Ive called their help line several days only to be left on for at least an hour with a continuous recording of Please hold, our next available customer representative will be with you as soon as possible or you have called when we are experiencing a very high volume of calls. Please hold or call back again. I attempted to use [redacted] recovery password and it ask for security question that I had answered over 5 years ago: [redacted]? I could not remember. Thursday March 27th, 2014 I went on line to attempt to find another telephone number for [redacted]. I found Click4 support. When I explained my situation and that I was attempting to obtain telephone for [redacted] the young man stated, Tell me what your problem is, we can probably help you. He led me to believe he was associated with [redacted] Company. I was transferred at least 3-4 times to other representatives whom all including the representative who took my call was difficult to understand. Their English was poor to say the least. I was told it would cost $299.00 to fix my problem. A scan of my computer was performed and I was told that I had hundreds of viruses on my computer to include a virus called Rundll which could destroy my computer. I was told later by a friend that if I had computer knowledge I could have fixed it myself. Unfortunately I didnt have that knowledge or I wouldnt be writing this letter to you now. They showed me files in my task manager and stated the virus was stealing my computer information and shutting down my files. They offered technical support to remove the virus, stating that the protection I had would not remove such viruses. I was stupid enough to give them remote access to my computer. The tech then began transferring me to other techs that was telling me about what I needed to buy to protect my computer from this happening again. Being nave and computer illiterate and frustrated I fell for this and next thing I know my CC is charged $1198.00. I feel they took advantage that I was upset, frustrated and angry and that I could not reach [redacted]. Obviously I didnt understand what I was signing up for. 03/28/2014 I called my CC Company explaining what had happened, they cancelled my card. I called click4support to explain my situation. At first I was transferred several times and then the female representative was difficult to understand. I told her I did not want the service. She stated that she understood and would credit my account for $299.00 and I would owe the rest. The technician did fix your computer I told her I would be willing to pay the $299.00 but I did not want the Computer Protection Service. She repeatedly stated, We will credit your account for $299.00, the technician did fix your computer mame I told her again I would be willing to pay the $299.00 that I was quoted in the beginning and I wanted to cancel the Protection Service. She continued to repeat conversation above so I discontinued the call. 03/28/2014 starting @ 12:40pm-7:54pm I received 7 telephone calls from them. I blocked their number.03/29/2014 12:25 I received three calls within one minute. Is this considered harassment? I feel that I was misled and that my frustration and anxiety was taken advantage of.They sold me a repair contract including three year network Security and support by online [redacted] CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN. Is this service approved by [redacted] or have I been duped? This business in not Revdex.com accredited. Please go to the Revdex.com website and read customer reviews. My husband who owns a business states that I have 72 hours to notify the company stating that I have changed my mind and do not want this product. I attempted to do this last night. I closed my [redacted] account. I was told email confirmation would be sent to our second email account that I had listed confirming cancellation of $299.00. As of today I have not received this.I should have checked the Customer Reviews before dealing with this company. You can verify these by going to Customer review click4support.net1/12/14 Just a warning to those who consider using [redacted] or Click4Support for tech work. Here's what I wrote to them. You basically deceived me. You represented yourself as a [redacted] tech which isn't true. At a very weak moment, you convinced me to spend money that wasn't necessary. You stated that the computer needed to be repaired so that wecould fix the sound system. In the end, you did not fix the sound system. I did. I discovered that there were multiple inputs and a wrong one was somehow selected. Before talking to your tech today, it was already fixed. I let the tech act to fix something that was done just to see if he would come up with the right solution. He actually didn't do it - I explained to him about the outputs, and then he understood. I believe that I shouldn't have to pay as I was deceived. I shall put my review on [redacted] for all to see.2/3/14 One of our clients was scammed into this company. They charged her $1000 dollars for setting up a wireless network password on the router. The client complained and they discounted them $500 dollars. COMPLETE SCAM/RIP OFF organization. STAY AWAY.Review: On December 6, 2013, I was trying to get some issues resolved on my [redacted] and found this number (###-###-####) on web saying they did [redacted] support cant find it anymore on web which I find interesting. I called and they went right into high pressure sure we can fix it etc. He told me he needed access to my computer so I let him. My fear is that they can now manipulate my computer. What do I do if this happens?

Dear Revdex.com,

Please be advised that this Customer's credit card was never charged as we voided this transaction on March 27, 2014 as we stand behind our 100% Money Back Guarantee. Please see the attached email communication that was sent to this Customer along with a copy of the Voided Transaction.

Good afternoon Ms. [redacted],

Review: On January 23, 2014, I called this company under the belief it was [redacted] and when I asked two different times if they were in fact [redacted], the person I spoke with said Yes both times. This is completely a lie.My phone lost all its contacts and after they logged into my computer, they claimed I had foreign IP addresses trying to hack into my computer and that they would install software to protect my network, laptop, phone, printer, and the two other computers in my house. They used high pressure tactics and lies to get me to pay them a total of $498 to fix all my problems. They did not fix anything. In fact, after working with the real [redacted], I was informed there was no one trying to break into my computer and Click4Support did not install any software on any of the devices they promised to protect. In addition, my phone is still broken and my contacts are still gone. I currently have a case open with [redacted] regarding this matter.I called many times between February 4 - February 11 to get a refund and was told Id be called back. No one did until February 11 when I spoke with [redacted]. She told me I would get my refund, but they were having technical issues with their server and my refund would be processed the next day. On February 12, there was still no refund. I called Ms. [redacted] again and she emailed me and told me I would receive my refund on February 14. On February 14, I still had no refund. I called three times to inquire about my refund and finally received an email on February 17 informing me that they had switched servers. I was told they were not able to process my refund through their server and I should go through my bank. Unfortunately, my bank was not able to assist me. I also received an odd email on February 18 which made it sound like I would be getting a refund in 8-10 days. I still have not received my refund.I then contacted them via email on February 28 asking for my refund yet again and for a paper check to be mailed to me. I told them Id give them 10 business days to respond or else I would get third party help from the Revdex.com. It is now March 11 and I still have no refund check and I have not received a response from them.Desired Settlement: I want my money back as promised. They've been giving me the run-around for over a month and I just want my $498 back in a timely manner.

Review: I talked to this company about a problem I was having with a couple of my computers. It was over a chat room type of devise. I was given some information as to what they could do and a brief description of how it worked. During the conversations, the conversations, they asked me for my credit card information. Up to this time, they seemed to be able to do what I was looking for but I was getting some confusing information as to what this would cost. I had not gotten a clear picture of the cost of doing all of this work and how the agreement would work going forward. The conversations got very pushy as the person with the company that was talking to me tried to close the deal without me understanding all of what I wanted to know. I finally told them that I did not want to do business with such a pushy company and warned them not to use my credit card information because I was not planning on purchasing any services with the company (I still had not gotten a clear picture of the cost of doing the proposed services). I finally terminated the conversation with them when they just kept going on about why I should do business with them.Later I found out they had charged me $1592.00 on the credit card. This charge was put in sometime during the initial conversations and was apparently shortly after they received my information.I contacted them when I found this out and demanded a refund. I also contacted the credit card company and asked for help on this matter. I send a message to the [redacted] Attorney General about my problem, again, to enlist any help with this. No work was done by Click4Support and anytime during this episode but the company has not responded with any action. I find this unauthorized billing to be extremely unethical and would never do business with such a company.Desired Settlement: I want nothing short of a refund from Click4 Support. I would feel the issue would then be satisfactorily resolved.

Subject: RE: You have a New Message from Revdex.com Serving Connecticut Regarding Complaint #[redacted]

I have just received a phone call from Click4Support. A person who’s name is [redacted] as informed me that they have put in place to refund the money back to me. At this time he is telling me because of them changing the way they do their financials that as of February 5th, they can no longer send a refund back to the credit card company and must refund me with a business check which will be mailed to me. They also said they would send me an email with a receipt showing the transaction. I will let you know when I receive the check and get verification that the check is good. Thanks for the help!!

Review: Contacted them after having an issue accessing my email; they lied and said they were [redacted] Support. They charged my credit card and did not do anything to help. I was on the phone with them for a number of hours and eventually got help from my son. Their services said "Click 4 Support offers a 30-day Money Back Guarantee for it services and products." and if asked for a refund, their terms of use said "If you are not 100% satisfied, let me make it clear that we will honor every claim, under our quality assurance guarantee with no push back" and they refused to tell me either their name, employee number nor the name of their manager and refused to send me any proof that they were going to give me a refund EVEN AFTER THEY AGREED TO SEND ONE. They wanted me to just wait two days so they could just give me the run around again.

Desired Settlement: My Invoice Number is XXXXX and I would like a FULL refund per their agreement. I was billed $99.00 and they agreed to refund me the money and I'm still waiting for it.

Review: On December 6, 2013, I was trying to get some issues resolved on my [redacted] and found this number (###-###-####) on web saying they did [redacted] support cant find it anymore on web which I find interesting. I called and they went right into high pressure sure we can fix it etc. He told me he needed access to my computer so I let him. He immediately told me that my computer was hacked and showed a huge list of things on my computer that flew by on the screen so fast I could not tell. Then he stopped and told me there were 30 users on my computer using an IP that started with [redacted].xxxxxx which I dont remember. Also the users were from [redacted] or something. It went by so fast that I was taken in. He said I needed Malware before I was hacked further. He started with the pricing for this and that $99 for this, $99 for that and it ended at $699.00. The pressure was intense and he created an atmosphere of fear. I couldnt believe the cost and he put such fear in me that I agreed. Understanding him was also an issue he did not speak good English. He then turned my call over the Click4support, I think. There was too much switching around to keep track. This next person then said it would take 5 to 6 hours to fix. I watched as he moved around the computer but really did nothing. He did install the Malware for a fee which I learned later is free. He said he kept loosing internet connection which I did not believe. He then said he would call me back after several hours I called them back. This was all fake. The next day I stopped payment on my credit card and called a computer company here in town. He responded immediately and found they did nothing but install the Malware which should not have been installed with my present [redacted] spyware. He checked out the computer and they did not leave anything or do anything that he could detect. The IP number they showed me is some generic one and there were no 30 users on my computer. He has been back twice and the computer seems OK. Interesting enough the computer was never the issue it was my [redacted]. This was high pressure scare tactics for the money and nothing more. These people are scam artists and represent themselves as [redacted] support people as well as [redacted].I want my money credited back to my charge card..Desired Settlement: I would like my charge credited back to my charge card.

Dear Ms. [redacted], the company in the complaint has refunded all my money. I wanted to let you know. I still feel strongly that they are not who they say they are. They totally misrepresent themselves. Thank you for your assistance.

This "company" is a total scam!!! Do NOT believe anything they tell you. AS SOON as I agreed to let them work on my computer, they charged my debit card IMMEDIATELY! THen they started double-talking and saying I "misunderstood" what was explained to me. I have been a corporate executive long enough to know how to listen well! I had to endure their lies and sleight of hand techniques for over 6 hours. I got absolutely nothing resolved, and despite their promise of 100% satisfaction guaranteed, it took threats of legal action to get them to void the transaction (or so they said)! I am completely disgusted that an "American" company is preying on their own AND using foreign employees to try and bilk us. Shame on Click4Support!
