Review: I was having a problem with a range extender and I found click4support number on line. I called the number and they said I had to agree to a $299.00 charge before I could proceed. they said I had a virus on my internet service. and before they could assist me with my range extender they would need to remove the virus. I was put on hold for over 2 hours and every time I would call they said it would be another 20-30 minutes, and now the rate had been increased to 368.99. after being on hold for over 3 hours and being told it was going to take another 20-30 minutes. I hung up and shut down my computer. no virus was on my computer after I rebooted so they must of put something on my computer to make me think I had a virus. they never helped me. I called my credit card and cancelled my card and requested a new one. a month later their charge showed up on my new card. my credit card company removed the charge. and now it is back on my card.Desired Settlement: remove the $368.99 charge from my credit card. I contacted them and they said they would return the call within 2 hours. I never received a call back. I emailed the complaint to their site and they have never responded.

Review: On April 29th I had a minor problem with the internet and went to [redacted] Support which connected me to Click4Support. I assumed they were an authorized tech firm with [redacted]. The technician claimed I had a major problem with my IP address being hacked etc. After some time he claimed to have fixed the problem and told me I needed a security system which cost $1499. I foolishly agreed to this and charges of $796 to have fixed the problem. After getting off the line I immediately knew I had been scammed and had another firm check my computer. This technician concluded that nothing had been done to my computer. Click4Support has a refund policy but I have not been able to figure out how to contact customer support. I have contacted my credit card company and when the charges are posted I will stop payment/dispute the charge. There is not even an order number on the "contract" or any clear indication what I purchased. They told me not to put another virus protection product on my computer because that would interfere with their product. I told the technician I had recently put virus protection on the computer and he then said "well, that doesn't matter". Thank you for your help and please advise people of this company's issues. They may be legitimate and just have a rogue employee but I notice they have many similar complaints with you and others, plus there is no way to dispute the charge through their web-site. [redacted]Desired Settlement: As noted above, I plan to stop payment when the charge is posted. If somehow that doesn't work, I would, of course, want a full refund.

Review: When I call ###-###-#### for tech help first it rings several times & then make a strange noise & then hangs up. I paid $1098 for up to 10 devices (on7/9/2014) for lifetime tech service & some software updates. I only have 2 laptops. Now I am being warned by supposedly [redacted] techs that my computer is being hacked & will crash & not be able to recover. I don't know what to do.Desired Settlement: I am desperate to have my laptops scanned & repaired or a refund. I no longer have the means to go to a repair service.

Review: thought I was calling [redacted] support to fix a bluetooth problem, but I got [redacted]. the representative said he could help me and ask to take over my computer by remote access, so I let him. before I knew it he said that I had viruses and malware and that some how 145 outside connections to my ip address, he told that "very bad people" were trying to get all my information from my computer to steal my funds. I was so scared I didnt know what to do. I paid 300 to fix my computer which was never fixed and they had control of my computer for over 8 hours. they also said that could protect my network ip address for 700.00 for 3 years and fix any problems that might occur in that time period. I look at my computer later that day and look at what he showed me earlier and it still look the same as before and my computer didnt run any better and the bluetooth was still not fix. the technician did seem to know what to do. I feel I was scammed out of 1000.00 for them to do nothing but make me afraid of using the internet without there help. bottom line is they could not fix my bluetooth.Desired Settlement: please refund my money to my credit card of 1000.00. thank you so much for any help. sincerely [redacted]

Review: We called for support on a [redacted] product and were transferred to Click4Support without notification. They proceeded to charge $398 for support to connect the product. At which time they gained access to the computer and used scare tactics to say that we required additional antivirus products for added protection and security. This was an additional charge of $989.00. Our credit card number was provided and they proceeded to download a security product called [redacted]. Once we disconnected, we reviewed the computer to confirm the downoload and could not locate the product. We contacted Click4Support and stated that we could not locate the software. We had a copy of the contract that stated that we could receive a refund and they refused to refund the $989.00 but they did refund the $398 for the support call. We are worried as others that they have gained access to personal data and our computer. We do not want nor trust their product and want a full refund.Desired Settlement: We want a full refund of the changes from Click4Support and reimbursement for any additional charges we will incur to have our computer wiped clean and remove any embedded virus or malware they may have installed that would allow them future access to the computer and our personal data.

Review: I contacted a website that I thought was help for [redacted]. A man who spoke somewhat in an English language which was very hard to understand told me he needed to be a remote user as my comuter had very many errors and warnings. after some time he told me I had 9004 errors, warnings and viruses on my computer. Foolish me I had let him in. his name was [redacted], he called [redacted] because they were the only ones that could fix this and he put me in touch with [redacted] for fixing my computer at a charge of $398. put on my debit card. After [redacted] worked on it for 2 hours and I WAS ASSURED IT WAS clean. They told me that even if I got a new computer, the viruses would follow because it was in my network and that foreign users were using my computer and people were using my WiFi. That night a message appeared on my computer that said my computer performance was very poor. I still had pop up and it wasn't shutting off when it should I would watch [redacted] and then and it would return to my email. I have tried to call them5 times, tried emailing them and yahoo said the address is invalid. and I am most unhappy. I feel like I have a giant L on my forehead. and people screaming scam-scam-scammed at me. I HOP0E TYOU CQAN HELP ME GET MY MONEY BACKDesired Settlement: tHEY SCAMMED ME OF $398.00 and that is what I want back. I belie4ved that what they did to me was fraqdulent. and so does my bank.

Review: We paid over $1900.00 to this company for virus protection and technical support back on 9/19/14. We can't get through to them and they don't respond to emails. We pretty much had our money stolen from us.Desired Settlement: We should be refunded our money due to fraudulent services.

Review: The initial call was placed to [redacted] and they transferred the phone call to this company after telling us that we needed to fix the problem with our computer immediately. After paying 999.00 the customer service representative went into my computer and was suppose to fix the problems. This company downloaded multiple items onto my computer. A few days later, I continued to have problems with my computer and called back, again they said they fixed the problems with my computer. I continued to have problems and had to go through a different company that had me reset my computer to factory settings. I have for the past few weeks been receiving strange phone calls, the person will tell me there is a problem with my computer. I have told them to stop harassing me but they continue to call. Also, when trying to log into the account that was set up with the representative at the time of purchase I cannot log in. Once trying to reset my password with my email address, I get a warning stating that no account exist with that email address. I called the company to get a refund, they transferred me once and then called me back, then transferred me two more times. Each time the person stated they were transferring me to billing. They were very defensive and threatening on the phone, stating they had recordings of my what the representative had done to my computer and conversations, that I contacted them and signed the paperwork. They denied downloading any programs, and then at the end of the conversation the representative said they would get a list of programs that were downloaded. they clearly did not want to refund my money. They said they would investigate and then contact me. After speaking on the phone with this company, it became more clear to me they were not interested in giving any refunds. The representative kept arguing with me and changing the subject of a refund. I do not know if they will call me back? I do not trust this company at all.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for $999.00 to my credit card immediately!

Review: I thought I was calling [redacted] and was somehow transferred to Click4Support They terrified me with saying all these things were wrong with my computer which was false. I was bombarded into agreeing to pay $199 as they told me my agreement with [redacted] would not cover what they could do. They then downloaded [redacted] on my computer! I tried to dispute this same day, as I later could not use my computer to access my work's remote access site after they messed with my system. They have been giving me the run around since I have been demanding they refund my $199Desired Settlement: Refund my $199

Review: I have multiple issues with this company starting with their "hard sales" technique. I've accessed the company four times since I signed the contract and feel that each time they only correct part of the problem, leaving them the opportunity to have to have me re-contact them for additional service. The last time they worked on my computer (01/19/14 in the evening). while the technician was remote working on my computer I was contacted by a heavily accented man who identified himself as [redacted] who claimed he was with Click4Support. Mr. [redacted] asked for my email address and credit card information to "refund money because the company's security server had been breached". I told Mr [redacted] I would ask the technician working on my computer about this and he got very agitated. I refused to give my email or credit card information. I hung up on him. My phone caller ID identified the number [redacted]. I also reported this to my credit card company.Desired Settlement: Refund of remaining contract information and restoration of my computer.

Review: I believed I was contacting [redacted] because of the website address but it turns out it was Click4Support who never said they were click4support. They made me think they were [redacted].I called because we were having trouble faxing with our ** printer and thought I needed to update the drivers. They said they could check my system if I let them remotely access the computer. I FOOLISHLY agreed to allow the remote access. They told me I had a serious virus on my computer and that they had [redacted] technicians who would fix the problem. They showed me files that they said were someone hacking the system. Their charge for both our computers to fix the problem would be $499 and would be fixed in about 4 hours. I gave them My credit card number and they began the supposed process of fixing the computers. However after hanging up from them I began to realize that I had not been talking to **. I called [redacted] service who told me to shut down the computers to stop the process and call my credit card company to dispute the $499 charge. I did this.As soon as I turned off the computers this company kept calling me and telling me that they were in fact certified technicians. I said I do not trust them and do not want their services. That evening I got another call from their billing dept. I told them I want nothing to do with their company and to remove the charge. It has been 4 days and so far the charge is still pending with my credit card company. If they don't I will put the charge in dispute with [redacted].Desired Settlement: Remove the pending charge of $499. from my credit card.

Response:

Revdex.com - To Ms. [redacted]'s specific complaints, we did in fact "void" her receipt on the day she called on Sept 30th. Our company is an independent third party that can support ** but we are certainly not **. Please see the note below I sent to Ms [redacted] tonight.

Review: this is a scam . they provide service for a while ; then want $1000.00 to get your computer back on line. I

after they have blocked it and changed the passwordDesired Settlement: refund the original payment of 400+ dollars.

I had trouble with my laptop in January. Sought help. Ended up with Click4Support (not sure how). Paid $399 with credit card. Was immediately suspicious and unsatisfied. Called me credit card to dispute the charge. Had more conversation and help from Click4Support over the next couple of weeks. Thought they had solved my problem. Called my credit card to abandon my dispute. This sequence had three steps with my credit card: 1) I was charged $399; 2) my credit card was credited with $399. 3) I was again charged $399. I was told I had one year of 24/7 tech support.
Now in May I called Click4Support to solve problems associated with multiple pop ups and terribly slow performance. Was told that I had cancelled my contract with them. I was able to show them the documentation from my credit card company. I was told that my credit card company was in error. I called my credit card company and got the date and a reference number (23 digits). I emailed Click4Support with this information asking them to correct their records to show that I had paid them and was entitled to a year of tech support.
No answer yet. Given the other negative reviews on this site, I suspect that I have joined the growing band of scammed folks.

Review: I discontinued their services because they did not do what they said they would. I was promised a check for 400 dollars on 8/31/2015 and have not received it yet. I have called them numerous times and got the run around. I simply want my money and I don't think it is much to ask after this length of time.Desired Settlement: The refund I am entitled for of 400 dollars.

Review: I thought I was contacting [redacted], which I found on web. They kept me on phone for about 5 hours and still did not repair the problem I was having with my computer. Told them I wanted to talk to supervisor. After charging me $199 he ask me to give them another 14 min. which turned out to be another hour, I requested a refund and they said they would refund me back $70 but it would be a onetime charge of $130.00. Which they still could not fix. I am still waiting for the refund. They promise a service that they cannot fulfill. They keep making excuses. I don't want another person to be scammed by them. That is how I see it. Come to find out it is a 3rd party company that they say they work for [redacted]. As I later found out, I found the right support for [redacted] and they fixed my problem for $0.00.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund. They did not fix my computer and even though I was with a teck specialist(as they describe them), they said it was for there time.

Review: I explained to them that I could not view/open files that I had backed up on my [redacted] external HD. I approved access to my PC so that he could see the directory containing the backed up files. He asked if I had other issues. I explained I did the back up because I was receiving "[redacted] Family control Media errors when I booted up my PC....and that I was preparing to call [redacted] for assistance becuz I have a [redacted] PC. He said they could resolve that issue also. When I asked "Am I speaking to [redacted]" .. he replied "We handled technical issues for [redacted], we are their 3rd party technical assistance, we also handle [redacted] products." He proceeded to display an Event page and pointed out a [redacted] file and said it was a [redacted] and that I couldn't view the backup files because the files were corrupt and my PC was filled with adward, spyware, viruses and malware. He also showed me a Task display and pointed out that services were Stopped and that those Stopped services were allowing my passwords and banking accts to be hacked. I was terrified. He told me they could fix and repair -everything- and provide software that wud prevent this from happening again. I questioned the backup files again and the [redacted] boot up error and he recfmd they could fix it all. $599 for the software, clean-up and repairs w/a 45day moneyback guarantee. I approved it. 4.5hours later, 8people later they ran the new software which didnt detect any syp/ad/malware. They said they repaired the [redacted] problem. We did a "re-start" of my PC and no [redacted] error. Then [redacted], the tech told me that I couldn't view/open the [redacted] files becuase it was a back-up, to view the files on an external HD, I would have had to click and drag them there. He wanted to close the case and end the call. I declined closing the case#[redacted] becuz I wanted to verify my programs and hardboot my PC (not just softboot). I started questioning why they didn't tell me about the click&drag from the start and why they said the backed up files were corrupt (4.5hours ago) and asked to see the viewer and tasks again that they showed me earlier. He got a supervisor and the supervisor said ...they'd call back @2pm the next day. I agreed so I could take my time checking out my PC. I hard booted (instead of softboot) my PC and still got the [redacted]error. My Itunes software doesn't work. My [redacted] software was completely deleted w/all my projects!!! I received multiple "missing files" errors upon boot-up. The [redacted] file is still there..which they said was a [redacted] but, I researched it and it is not, it's a required file for the PC !!! The event viewer still has warnings .. which I researched and they are harmless. Had they explained the click&drag of the files verses back-up from the start, I wouldn't have gone any further with them..... instead ... He saw the same thing I saw and told me "the files are corrupted because of spyware, adware, virus and malware on my pc" They showed me data on PC and lied about what it meant. e.g.. [redacted] , the stopped processes , the corrupt files on the HardDrive etc. (which are not corrupted). They lied/misrepresented everything they showed me. They did not fix anything. They "sold" me [redacted] AntiVirus software and "support" .... My PC is in worse shape now than before the call. I contacted them the next morning (less than 24hrs) to request a refund, they wanted to remote into my PC again, I declined at first and then agreed .... they transferred me to a supervisor and I explained everything again, then he declined to remote in to my PC and told me Billing would call me back in 24hrs. I called them 30hrs laters and they offered a $349refund, I argued again that I wanted a full refund, they offered me a $400 refund, I argued again. [redacted], the supervisor told me there was still Consultation fees and Technician fees. I told her the consultation was nothing but, lies and deceit and a TOTAL misrepresentation of the status of my PC and the files contained in the displays they presented to me.. .. which led to the un-required need for a technician to install software that I didn't need and more importantly that THEY FIXED NOTHING !!! The initial reason for the call was explained to my satisfaction in 2minutes at the END of a 4.5 hour terrifying experience !!! She said that was her final consideration. I summarized my view again and she held firm. I told her I was going to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: A total refund as quickly as possible so that I may seek repairs of my PC.

** 24Mar/1217a - I used the new [redacted] Anit_Virus software they put on my PC and scanned the files that I questioned on the [redacted] HD ( the one they said was corrupted) .. I scanned all files incl. archives, compressed etc ..and it didn't detect anything !!! Again, that back-up contains a PC image (all files/folders/programs etc) prior to my call ... This proves that my PC had NO problems in regards to any malware, spyware, adware or viruses .. this proves that they mislead me, they lied to me and none of their services were required. I also scanned it with [redacted] and nothing was detected. Thank You

Review: On January 30, 2014 I purchased the Webroot Secure Anywhere Antivirus program for $3597.00 from Click4Support. I had signed an agreement that says that my computer would be covered for as long as I have the computer. I have noticed that I no longer have a Webroot icon nor any indication that the program was installed. I did not realize that I had no protection on my computer until Wednesday of September 9, 2015. I tried to get assistance from Click4Support but I did not receive any response. It seems now that Webroot has now been uninstalled or has stopped monitoring my computer for viruses.Desired Settlement: I paid a large amount to this company who did not deliver its services. I want a refund..

Review: The technical support agents from click4support gained access to my computer after representing himself as a [redacted] Support technician. I was unable to break remote access from this agent immediately after I realized he could not fix my [redacted] and proceeded to delve into my other programs. I questioned why they where accessing my already placed antivirus program in my computer if they were offering a product of their own. Upon realization, I was coerced into paying for their false lifetime antivirus program and after sometime the remote access to my computer was finished, I wanted a refund and they became argumentative. I took my laptop to another IT specialist and we discovered that click4support agents embedded a registry program in my already existing antivirus program to gain access to my computer.Desired Settlement: refund, I'm already consulting with my bank.
