The client had enrolled in our services in May 2012 for investigation, tax preparation, and negotiation services. Additional documents...
are necessary for the completion of these services. We contacted our client via phone, email, mail, and SMS text weekly for 2 years in our effort to obtain these documents. The client has acknowledged that he received the letters and emails regarding the documents that we require. Furthermore, we spoke with the IRS while we were waiting to receive the necessary documentation. At the time of cancellation request, we contacted the client in regard to his cancellation request to process a refund and again, received no response. Prior to issuing a refund check, we verify a mailing address and if the client prefers a check, or refund onto the card. Upon finalizing the closure of his file, we supplied the client with a Do-It-Yourself packet in order to assist him in resolving the situation on his own. Our Client Services Agreement stipulates that the client is responsible for the timely completion and return of all requested documentation. He is in breach of this contract. However, we have agreed to refund all fees for services that were not finalized. A checks has already been overnight to the client. Had the client contacted us, this issue could have been easily resolved.

Ctr was unbelievably helpful and patient with me... I wasnt just in a bad financial state... it all wieghed on my mental state as well.. I did my best to do what I needed to on my end...but things took time for me and ctr never gave up on me... I ended up paying pennys on a dollar and couldn't be more pleased with ctr.. a huge weight has been lifted off me and I thank ctr for their patience and professional service...

I needed to be absolutely sure that whoever helped me could be trusted with literally “everything†we have, and I could trust they would have our best interests at heart. When I called Community Tax I had already started trying to get help from other so-called tax companies and the companies that I contacted turned out to be a joke! Two of those companies had AAA ratings with [redacted] They just wanted money…for what I am still not sure, they wanted money upfront and banking information before we ever got started on the taxes. Community Tax has been a blessing! I cannot Thank this staff enough for their honesty, integrity and diligence for our significant tax debt situation. It has been a blessing to know that they were taking care of a very stressful situation and I could give them what they needed and not have to worry about it. I knew it would be done correctly and in our best interest. This company had a team put in over a month's worth of work before we ever discussed payment for thier services, which are very reasonable especially considering all that they had to do for us. The constant contact with the team working our case was so refreshing. They sent us updates whenever there was progress made and sometimes they just called to check on my husband and I to see if there was anything we needed or had questions about. I do not know a single company that does that! Communtiy Tax employees take GREAT PRIDE in thier work and thier ability to get the customer the best resolution possible. My husband owed a lot of taxes for a period of time when he only filed his taxes some of the time. By the time we contacted Community Tax, he owed a little over $58K. We were told by Community Tax that they can DECREASE his tax debt by almost half by getting rid of the interest and penalties and negotiating a monthly payment we can afford. Eight months and $5500 later, they were able negotiate our monthly payment to $320/mo. However, he still owed $58K. When I asked why they did not decrease the balance as promised, we were told this: ''The IRS have essentially 10 years to collect on taxes after you have filed them. Due to this fact.....my husband would never pay the full $58K because the previous tax years will have expired before 2026." So, because my husband filed his 2004-2006 taxes late, they will expire in 2018 & 2019, which will take away from the balance since the IRS can no longer legally collect those years. This is all good to know, but what is the point of paying this company over $5K to ''lower'' my IRS debt when they are not lowering anything.......the debt is expiring by itself, yet this is what they are advertising. We feel that we have been scammed out of our money.
