Complaint: 11787326
I am rejecting this response because:Call Me Van Line is now saying that I knew about my furniture being damaged beyond repair and stated that I said to deliver it anyway. This is totally false and utterly ridiculous! I never said anything even remotely close to that! First of all, I would never put furniture or anything damaged beyond repair into a storage facility and pay on it for 26 months. Secondly, Call Me Van Line does not know that I left a point of contact in El Paso, Texas who was listed on my contract at the storage facility with authority to check on my furniture. My friend in El Paso, who had his own key, had just checked on my furniture only weeks prior to Call Me Van Line picking up my furniture on Oct 4th and needless to say, there was NO new damage, just a little dusty. Yes, I did have minor scratches on mt dresser and bed posts but my Laura Ashley bedroom was in near new condition. Now one of the post is loose and the nightstand has a wood chunk missing at the bottom and the drawer doesn't completely close. Because my friend forgot the gate code, the staff had to call me for authorization to give him access so they too are aware that he was there so try again because I have witnesses. I also have other witnesses (hired helpers) who were present when I unwrapped the couch, loveseat and other broken items. I am without a livingroom set and still dealing with their unprofessional services on a daily basis. I would have never selected these people based on their awful reviews and wish I'd never heard of them! Ni one could have done a worse job...Call Me Van Line stated that they discounted the shuttle fee or that I didn't pay it, but they did not mention that they only delivered my furniture to a uhaul facility, not my home so why should I have paid for a shuttle when the driver unloaded my things into my uhaul and left me on the side of the road. They knew my things were damaged which is why I was not even allowed to see anything. No one would wrap up furniture damaged to that extent unless they did it. They apparently moved my furniture around unprotected and damaged it and then wrapped it up or some crazed person damaged it deliberately because I wouldn't adhere to all of their ridiculous fees. Check their reviews because this is far from being the only case. They are all crooks working for a con man and it needs to stop immediately! I want a full refund AND to be compensated for my damaged goods and all of my frustration. Nothing else will suffice!!!!!
Regards,

Review: I had auto pay set up for this account then on 9/5/20013 [redacted] took out two payments. They call me and told me what had happened, I could get a refund or leave it in and not have to make a payment the following month. I said it was ok to leave it the way it was and not make a payment the following month. Then October came and [redacted] took the payment out of my account, I called them on Friday they ( [redacted] ) told me I would see the money posted to my account by Monday. Well Monday came and nothing, I called [redacted] back on Tuesday he then told me it would take 2 to 5 business days for it to post. I waited a week then called [redacted] back and ended my auto pay ( I hope ) and told him that I still had not received my money, he said I would see it any day. I have not received it yet!Desired Settlement: I just want my money back and my auto pay stopped, I will send a check to them. I just don't think they think they can get away with things like this!

We settled with this company and the collections action was listed as closed on my credit report. Less than a year later it reappeared and with a much larger amount than before. No warning, request or explanation for this action.

Review: This company is collecting for a resort that is no longer open we were paying 385. 00 in maintenance fees now the company is billing us 500.00 for a membership fee with no explanation why dues went up and they are referring us to Xanadu vacation resort and it is closed. I contacted Xanadu and cannot get a response via email or phone. We purchase via contract this membership6000..00 now we have no rci exchange nor can we use the resort for more then two years. we purchased sometime in 2005 not sure of the date I need to find contract. Review: This company bought a debt from resorts usa which is a time share company in PA. My husband and & are currently not working and was also not working in 2008 which is when the account started to go deliquent. unbeknownest to us we could not sell the timeshare like we were told we could when we got in finanacial trouble. I have been trying to settle thi 10 year old debt now for over 2 years. I contacted the co on 09/18/2013 abd told them I had $1500-$1800 would they settle with me they said they want what I don't have which $3100 so I said I will file bankruptcy but why should I do that and make my credit worse it's not like im not trying to do something so my next step is instead of filing bankruptcy I will take Conrad corp to court with my $1500 because they have been very uncooperative you cant take what someone don't have and I can't afford monthly payment because we are not working now and in addition every time we tried to use the timeshare we were always told that our week or day we wanted was unavailable.Desired Settlement: I would like them to stop giving me a hard time I can't give what I don't have bankruptcy shouldn't be a solution to this issue I made what I thought was a reasonable offer I want them to accept it

Review: On Sept 26, 2013, we (my spouse & I), attended an approximate 2/hour event sponsored by [redacted] Marketing Strategies, LLC, 3[redacted], at the [redacted] Valley [redacted] Ultimately, we signed up for a three day training event for Oct 4-5-& 6, 2013 at the [redacted] by [redacted] Hotel San Diego - [redacted] Valley, [redacted] for a total of $1,495.00. We gave a $200 deposit at the event ((we have since placed a 'stop payment) with the balance to be spaced out over six months at $227.31/mo. However, we were' not' able to attend the event. The contract information was originally drafted on a contract under [redacted] Marketing Strategies, LLC. So, we were surprised when we received a billing notice from [redacted] Acceptance Corp for our first installment due 10/26/13, representing [redacted]. LLC (same address as [redacted] Marketing Strategies,) & until now, had never heard of. I contacted [redacted] Acceptance & informed them, that we had requested cancellation of the contract via a letter dated Oct 14, 2013 to [redacted] Marketing Strategies. [redacted] Acceptance moved forward anyway, & debited our bank account for $227.31 on Oct 30, 2013 via a paper draft which states we authorized it, when in fact we 'did not'. I've since worked out matters with our bank to stop &/or return any further drafts. We don't feel compelled to pay for 'no receipt of goods or services'. I again spoke with [redacted] Acceptance w/[redacted], Finance Manager'. She asked me to submit her copies of the letter & paperwork submitted to [redacted] Strategies, & did so on Nov 4, 2013. On Nov 7th she confirmed that she had requested cancellation of the contract & would have the money back into our account within 48/hrs. To date, this has not happened. [redacted] states they sold the contract to [redacted] Acceptance. And, after nine additional phone calls to date to [redacted] without the courtesy of a response, with one exception regarding a brief conversation with a rep name [redacted], he ultimately threatens to ruin our credit. And, I've lost count of the number of phone calls made to [redacted] Marketing along with written correspondence to get this matter resolved, but, to no avail.Desired Settlement: We 'will not' pay for what we 'have not' received & under any circumstances, 'do not want'. We want a refund of $227.31 and written confirmation that the contract has been rescinded in its entirety. And, it's been discovered that [redacted] Marketing Strategies & [redacted] are exclusively 'Lead Generation' companies who sell their installment contracts to [redacted] Acceptance Corp. It's too bad the people attending the events are not made privy to this information.

Review: A loan was serviced by this company. It was canceled and debt zeroed out in september. This company has failed to correct the reporting on my credit report to reflect a zero balance and canceled debt. I have called 4 times and requested this be corrected since december each time I was told that they faxed me a confirmation letter and updated the credit report. They would not allow me to speak with a supervisor. I have called again today. Now they are telling me that it would be updated in 24hrs. I have lost a considerable amount of credit worthiness due to this bill.Desired Settlement: correct my credit and send me something in writing that this has been completed.

Review: We hired this company to do our accounts recievable and they made a mess out of my business, I gave them 4 months to work out the kinks, but they never did, my clients were not happy, the company never paid me what they were supposed to out of my OWN MONEY..... when we decided to not work with them anymore, they held 6 months worth of my money and now they will not return calls, they will not send me my checks on a monthly basis and they have lied about the amounts of money they claim they collected from my clients and refuse to pay me my money that they are holding hostage.... we have made many attempts to work this out with them and no one seems to be able to explain to us why they are holding our money over $20k of my money . They pawn me off to people who never return calls or can not read the contracts to explain to me why I am not getting my money back.... they are crooks and should be shut down.Desired Settlement: I want ALL OF MY MONEY THEY ARE HOLDING...... $20k. of it and I want it now in one lump sum not in payments that they are not even making..... they send me a contract with no check a month after the fact......

If this was legitimately something that belonged to me I was never given the opportunity to respond before this showed up on my report. I was under the impression a collection company was suppose to send a letter and allow you 30 days to respond before negatively reporting on your credit. I was never given this option. They say they attempted to contact me but the fact remains I haven't been contacted. I still have no idea what this collection is even for. They stated that they have not been contacted by the credit bureaus but that's funny considering I have been disputing this for about a year. If this collection company does have their business together this in not my fault and I want this to stop reporting on my credit report.

Review: Conrad Credit Corporation (760-735-5005) sent a notice recently to collect $671.71 on a debt for [redacted]. I do not owe any money to [redacted] or Conrad Credit Corporation. The $382.40 check I sent to [redacted]b on/about August 2008 to clear up the debt was returned, as they decided to report it as a 'Charge off' entered on my credit report, until 2015.Desired Settlement: It is not fair to be penalized twice for the same debt, since it has affected my credit already.

Response:

After care review and speaking with our Client in the

Bahamas, Your bill stems from your 2012 Dues for the condo you have.

Unfortunately you did not pay the Dues for 2012 while it was in the billing

stage and once it passed 90 day delinquent status it was forwarded to

collection. This is why it shows up as a past due debt in Conrad Acceptance and

then as a assigned debt to Conrad Credit which is a separate company from

Conrad Acceptance. I hope this helps you understand why the debt is showing up

on your Credit file.

If you have any further question please don’t hesitate to

contact me at 760-735-5000.

Review: Good afternoon Revdex.com,

I am writing to report a company that I feel is neglecting to perform due diligence on the company it is collecting for.

They are a third party billing company, collecting annual maintenance fees for a timeshare/ vacation club that is no longer in operation. Another address I have on file for them is:

476 West Vermont Ave

Escondido, CA 92025

The resort has been shut down since 2011 and I found out when the timeshare company it was affiliated with informed me I am no longer a member because the resort failed to meet standards to stay in the timeshare network. After research, I found out the resort is up for sale, not taking reservations and I have no recourse to sell my unit. I will accept that, but refuse to accept that I am responsible for maintenance fees ($500 due on 2/15/2014) for a vacation club that is no longer in operation. I was informed that if I do not pay the maintenance fees I will be reported to the credit reporting agencies. I also paid a special assessment fee in 2010 in order to "repair the resort due to hurricane damages" in the amount of $1125 and feel this was also collected with dishonesty.Desired Settlement: I am not sure what other actions I may take other than to report them for fraud and improper collection. Please let me know what other information you may need or what actions I can take.

Hello again [redacted]: Validation of debt was sent to her via certified mail and was received and signed for by [redacted] on 5/4/2015 (please see attached return receipt). There was never a request for validation prior to this Revdex.com complaint.

Review: I attended a free training seminar with [redacted] in February of 2009. At the end of the seminar, the presenter was selling material for further training materials valued at over $5000.00. I explained to them that I did not have the money because I was just laid off from [redacted]. He asked if I have any 401K savings and I told him yes. He said I could pay for it with my 401K savings. I told him I would need to talk to my company that had the 401K savings. He said I could go ahead and sign the paper with no obligation and I could cancel if it will not work. I did sign the paper. However, when I called the my 401K adviser, they told me I could not use my 401K to pay for the program and that I was misinformed. I called the number he gave me to cancel but for days I did not get any answer; I left several messages as I was desperate to cancel. I finally got a hold of someone and I was told it was too late to cancel. I explained my situation of not working and I was offered addition class with one on one training for an additional cost. I told them I did not have the money and I just wanted to cancel. At that time I was made aware that I had to cancel within 3 days and it would have to be in their office in writing by the third day. The last day of the class was on a Saturday. For that I would loose one day to mail anything. I explained to the lady that it was never told to us. I ask if I could return the material to them and the lady said I would need a RMA number which she could not provide me with because I was pass the cancellation date. She said I would need to pay for the materials. I sent the material back to them at the address listed on the form. In June of 2009 I got a call from Conrad Credit Company (A collection Agency) that I owe this debt. I explained the situation to them again and never heard from them since. However, I was in the middle of applying for a personal loan and my credit was pulled. Sure enough, there it was on my credit file. I would like this to be settled because of the following reasons: 1. I was provided with misinformation to get me to sign the document 2. I called several times to cancel but could not get a hold of anyone. As I am typing right now, I am trying to call [redacted] to discuss this with them and it is the same problem; no one answers their phone. 3. I returned the material to them although I did not have the RMA number they required. I would like this to be deleted from my credit report and a letter stating this is satisfied with a $0.00 balance.Desired Settlement: I need this to be deleted from my credit report. It is on my file as Conrad Cr Co for $5,307.00. I will need a letter for my record to show this is corrected.

Business

Response:

Review: I took out a loan with Conrad Acceptance back on 10/2011. The loan was for school for Alliance Tractor Trailer. The loan was for 20 payments of 146.05. I have made all payments that were required of me. I actually made 21 payments of $150.00. Conrad continues to bill me for interest, they said that was not collected by Conrad $369. I requested a statement of my acct from Conrad which they did send , and it shows on their system 21 payments. I can supply any paperwork needed to back this up. They said they would not make this right and would ruin my credit by reporting this. I do not owe the money.Desired Settlement: report acct closed paid in full and I need a statement from Conrad stating this is complete.

Review: Conrad Credit Co. has been reporting the same account on my credit file for more than 12 years after the last activity. They have represented the Maverick Resorts Condominiums which I purchased in 2002. After several unsuccessful attempts to use the timeshare, I returned the timeshare in lieu of the deed in 2002. The date of the last activity on this account was in 2002. Conrad Credit keep re-opening this account as if I just opened the account, and has been reporting this as a delinquent account since 2002. A copy of my last credit report says that I just opened this account in April 2013, which is a gross misrepresentation. I have tried for several years to get this error corrected to no avail. According to the FCRA, this file should have been removed from my report after 7 years of the last activity, which should have been in 2009. I have sent Conrad Credit several Certified letters along with a credit report from the year 2003, showing this same account being reported by them. They ignored it and continued reporting this account. This is a fraudulent collection practice being committed against me by Conrad Credit Co.Desired Settlement: My desired settlement is to have Conrad Credit remove the Maverick condominiums / Aqua Suns investments, from my credit report. It is 12 years old and it should be removed. I would also like a formal letter of apology From Conrad Credit, for this misrepresentation, and for violating the FCRA.
