I enjoyed my experience with this company in obtaining a new loan. I worked directly with Charles P.. He was very professional. This was the right company for me.

I was given a preapproval on a mortgage based on all facts submitted up front to first bank. The day before closing they denied the loan.
They gave a pre approval and I signed a contract on a house, paid for their appraisal a home inspection and pest letter. The day before closing they denied the loan siting a mistake on their part. They had all my documents up front yet lead me on for a month believing I was getting the loan. The loan officer Rod *** apologized that he thought I had a chapter 7 6 years ago when the bankruptcy letter I sent in clearly stated a chapter 13. He told me I would have to wait 6 more years.

The customer initially applied in early March. Our loan officer found a foreclosure showing on credit and advised the customer we could not move forward. Customer advised this is incorrect and the home showing as foreclosed was actually included in a bankruptcy. Customer advised he would get it taken care of. When customer reapplied in early April the foreclosure was no longer showing on credit. Customer also signed initial disclosures stating that he has not had a property foreclosed upon in the last 7 years. Towards the end of the process we received 3rd party confirmation the customer has had a property included in foreclosure in the last 7 years. Unfortunately this does not meet our investor guidelines and we had to decline the customer once this information was received. Our sales manager contacted the customer yesterday and offered a refund of the appraisal cost as a courtesy, which the customer declined.

the offer to refund 445.00 is unacceptable as I also paid 375.00 for a home inspection and 85.00 for a termite letter. Furthermore the statement that I did not disclose the foreclosures in the initial application is false. Rod *** knew about both foreclosures and it was he that emailed me the second completed application marked no bankruptcy or foreclosure in the last 7 years as evidenced by the e sign format that I could not change if I wanted to. They sent it and told me to initial and sign before midnight to proceed. There is also other incorrect information that he entered on the application not me.

Charles P. did a great job handling my mortgage refinance: from offering competitive rates when starting the application and guiding through the process, removing roadblocks and even helping with the final steps in closing the loan.

Charles P. was a great loan professor to work with. If you got him as your loan process, you are in good hands. This company is legit and not switch and bate like some Internet mortgage companies on the Net. As far as my experience working with them, they provided great service. However, prepare to submit them lots of forms for income verification and eligibility.

I just wanted to say that my experience from day one has been nothing but spectacular. I took a chance on an online mortgage company and gave them a call. I am glad I did. I spoke with Charles P., who immediately made me feel like I made the right decision in calling them. Charles was my loan officer and worked with me throughout the entire process. He was super easy to get in touch with when ever I needed, walked me through each step of the process, emailed me simple detailed explanations and instructions about every step, and made himself available for me the whole time. He is a super nice guy, is genuine, and again I am really happy I had him as the person handling such a major investment in my life.
It didn't stop there however, besides having Charles on my team, there were several others who were equally amazing. They worked in different departments but everyone worked with me together, and they all gave me 110%. Brittany B. helped me very much through out the process, and then Scott K. helped me towards the final stages of closing. They were both fantastic, and really great people. In my opinion, they all represent the perfect all star team. I will proudly refer people there way every chance I get. This whole stressful process was made much less stressful thanks to everyone I worked with. It was very smooth, and everything was handled quickly and with great attention. Again, they made my experience a really great one. Thank you very much Charles, Brittany, and Scott, you guys were incredible!

I wish to thank Phil B., the senior mortgage banker and Justin G.. the senior loan processor @ ConsumerDirect to make the purchase of a home an easy, smooth process.

This lending process could not have been more transparent and better. I've come across many lenders but none came close to ConsumerDirect. Phil B. and his team were totally outstanding and very proactive. Phil is extremely responsive and you can count on him to close on time, even in a demanding situation. There is no question I'll be using this company again and I highly recommend ConsumerDirect, Phil B. to anyone who is seeking a mortgage.

I have now worked with Consumer Direct Mortgage three times (which probably says enough already). Once on a re-fin and twice on new home purchases. It is my experience that they are simply the best- and I have worked with other lenders in the past (I won't get into those nightmares). Charles P., April M. and everyone at Consumer Direct, are efficient, professional, and communicate very well. There were not any last minute "surprises" that set you back days or weeks from closing- not in my experience. They are thorough and on the ball. The home buying experience is stressful enough, but having a lender that really acts as a partner is a source of relief. Consider them, you won't regret it.

I was working with ***. He sent me two different quotes a week apart. I made sure the closing costs and interest wasn't going to change based on what my score was. So I proceed to put the application in. The next day he calls and says "the lender credit has decreased by $500. I can now only offer you a $300 credit." Which means my closing costs went up. Also he would not lock my rate in until an appraisal was done which in the meantime my rate could go up. He was very pleasant at first until after I submitted my application started changing all the figures. I can't work with someone whom I do not trust. If I could rate a 0 Star I would. Waste of my time and a hit to my credit!

Bad communications to hard. to get ahold of anyone that knows anything about my issue. have been told the issue has been taken care of may 24
my mortgage went into foreclosure and I owed a past amount of 7000 dallors and I found a foundation here in Michigan that will pay the past amount owed. the problem is they" first bank mortgage has agreed to participate with the foundation. but getting ahold of anyone is absolutely terrible. I get a different answer all the time and no one knows of anything. its like its lost and its on my file in the computer at first bank ive waited and went rounds for 4 months with this and I was told on may 24 the paperwork was sent out to me and the foundation. nothing has been received. from both myself or the foundation. I cannot get any relief from the mortgage company. they said they have done this and have not and I absolutely cannot get ahold of anyone in the company to resolve this issue. absolutely bad business.

Desired Outcome

have someone from the mortgage company to resolve the issue . someone who is diligent and knows how to handle this. and not just call and not leave a call back number or voicemail. someone who will.

We worked with Charles P. with Consumer Direct Mortgage and it was a great experience. My husband I were first time homebuyers and we couldn't have asked for a better person to guide us through this process. Charles answered all our questions in great detail (some times more then once) and always returned our calls, texts or emails almost immediately. He even was a available in the evenings to work with our schedules (even more amazing that he is on the east coast and we on the west, so returning our calls at 11pm his time!) We can not thank Charles enough for everything, he even got the paperwork through quickly enough for us to close early. Thank you Charles! We will definitely be in touch with any questions or home purchases in the future.

We just closed our second mortgage transaction with Steve S. and the ConsumerDirect team. In both cases they were fast, honest, and easy to work with throughout the process. In addition, we shopped around for the best rates and lowest upfront costs and both times ConsumerDirect came out ahead. I would highly recommend calling Steve for a quote.

I had a great experience with Consumer Direct. They were thorough, expedient, and very considerate through out the process. Senior Banker Charles was very professional, responsive, supportive and assisted me questions that I encountered without delay and with a very pleasant attitude. He made the experience simple and pleasant and continued to be the watchdog throughout the entire process. Thanks Charles!

I was relieved and very pleased by how smoothly and quickly my refinance went. Charles P.I with ConsumerDirect Mortgage was great - available every time I had a question- patient - gave me thorough explanations and kept me up-to-date and on track. This was a VERY positive experience. I would highly recommend both Charles P. and ConsumerDirect.

Great experience, I worked with Phil B. who was recommended to me; I was given a lot of recommendations so I shopped around and Consumer Direct Mortgage got me the best rate on the market even compared to several people I know in the business who told me they could match or beat what I got locked in. No one could touch the Rate or loan costs. They were responsive, and delivered on everything. We closed on time and it could not have gone smoother. There is no question about it I would use them again.

I worked with Charles P. and Nate P. with our mortgage. Both were great to work with, responsive and genuinely interested in making our experience easy.

They also closed our loan in a very short timeframe. We were under the gun to get closing complete due to work and travel schedules. Their attitude was let's make it happen versus no we can't do that!

This is my second time using them and both experiences were great! Highly recommend using them for purchase or refinance.

A word of advice to anyone going through the mortgage process, have your stuff together (bank statements, pay statements, mortgage statements, insurance, etc.) if you want to close in a short timeframe. If you are slow or unorganized, your loan will take WAY MORE TIME!!!

Charles P. was amazing with Consumer Direct! Answered all of my questions no matter what time of day or night it was. For a first time home buyer, that was HUGE because I felt lost a lot of times during the process but after I called Charles with any questions, he was able to help out so much and make me feel more comfortable. Everyone in their office that worked on our loan was on top of it and super helpful. Definitely felt like I had a huge team of people there to help me out with any questions. Not to mention the competitiveness of their loan products was amazing!!!! Thanks so much for a great first time experience (and saving us a from a potential horrible experience with another lender)!

Amazing experience . Charles got me to closing table in a very short period of time . Consumer direct was great to work with. I wish I would've new of them for my first house purchase. My realtor was very skeptical as was I a bit, but they exceeded expectations.
