I found CDM when comparing interest rates offered by different mortgage companies online. CDM offered one of the lowest interest rates at the time. CDM also presented a large number of positive reviews demonstrating the legitimacy and integrity of the company. I reached out to CDM and spoke with Charles P., who from the beginning made me feel very comfortable. He answered all my questions, even the seemingly stupid ones without any hesitation. Charles has a pleasant personality and calm demeanor, and is a pleasure to talk with. He expediently answered my calls and emails letting me know when documents had been received and so forth. He made each step of the process go smoothly as did each staff member as the loan progressed through the different phases of the process. The process went seamlessly and quickly. I received the rate I was quoted. I did my part and got all my required documents in and papers signed as quickly as possible and CDM did their part likewise. I would recommend CDM to others in need of a mortgage company.

I have been working with CDM for a few months when trying to refinance my house after Divorce. Charles P was amazing to work with from the start. He answered every question I had and made me very comfortable with the whole process. I had some snags along the way- not due to anything with CDM, and Charles stayed very patient and on top of everything I needed to do to keep my the refinance going and my rate locked. I definitely recommend anyone looking for a mortgage to contact Charles for a smooth and easy experience!

First a would like to said that these people treated me with the most respect and they are truly professionals and don't sound like a bunch of use car salesman like the other popular home mortgage sites and the most important thing was a very low interest rate with my refinance loan and no cost to me. one of my best experiences with any type of business and no empty promises.

After feeling the anxiety of talking to five other companies I called Consumer Direct Mortgage and was fortunate enough to talk to Phil B. He was such a refreshing experience. He was so patient with all my questions. He truly went above and beyond to be available. No one could match the loan I got from Consumer Direct. If you're looking for a home loan do yourself a favor and talk to the very best PHIL B. You will get the best service from an extremely knowledgeable and honest agent. Besides getting the best rate and closing cost. Phil B. is exceptional. He is also a man of integrity. A rare quality these days.

released hold on appraisal order without my consent and without notifying me
Due to problems that came to light regarding the lot of the property I was going to buy, within 24 hours of paying it, I asked chad *** to place a hold on appraisal and he did. Many days later he released the hold without telling me or asking me or me saying to. His excuse was that he 'thought' the issues were resolved. I was shocked a few hours after sale fell through to receive an email saying appraisal had been done. I requested a refund or at least credit towards appraisal on next house due to error made by chad *** and consumer direct mortgage. They refused to reply and they cut off all contact with me despite my desire to work through this and have them still do my mortgage.

Desired Outcome

refund the $345 I paid for appraisal that should never have been done without my permission and when sale was in danger of failing.

We used CDM for refinancing our home mortgage. We just closed on our loan (on-time) on 3/1. Charles P. was our Sr Mortgage Banker and primary contact. There is not a single negative thing to comment about Charles or how he conducted business. He never pressured us, was very patient, always available, responded timely and was understanding with questions that we had. He is the real deal! We found CDM via a web search and were being very cautious about who we chose. I am very grateful that we did chose CDM. We have gone through a couple refinances before and the process this time was by far the easiest that we have experienced. We did what they said and the results were what they promised (actually better) in the end. I would definitely recommend them.

I worked with Charles at Consumer direct while I was shopping for a loan and he was always extremely fast with any response and diligently worked to answer my questions. Although I didn't end up going with Consumer direct, it was still an excellent display of customer service

We had conducted extensive research to find the best lenders to refinance our home. ConsumerDirect was our go to lender based on those reviews. Not only were the reviews accurate but the personal attention and professionalism of our representatives and loan officers was top notch. They were available to us in a timely manner whether by phone or email. They came through on the terms as promised. I would highly recommend.

Super easy and def for anyone looking to not have to deal with a bunch of people in person. I loved that everything was done via the Internet mostly and the closing process was a breeze. Great rates and willing to work to find what works for you and your family. Charles and the team were great!

Overall experience was positive. Representatives were very responsive and always willing to help to make the process easy. The online portal was a little buggy when it came to uploading documents but other than that, no complaints. I would recommend this service to others.

Amazing experience with Consumer Driect. Their rates were about a half a percentage lower than my own bank and others I inquired about (USAA, Wells Fargo). The file drop and esign process through the website was easy, and they worked everything through my agent for a smooth closing.

I recently used Consumer Direct Mortgage to finance a second home. I was warned by local banks and even a realtor about 'online banks'. I decided to take the chance because at the end of the day, money is money, and Consumer Direct had a significantly better rate. I worked with Charles P. mostly, and Nate P. after that. I actually found the process easier than with a local bank. All documents were completed online, any questions I had were answered quickly, and the whole process went smoothly. Charles provided his cell phone number to me in the beginning, and was there to answer any last minute questions I had. The online process was actually easier for me. No missed work, emails could be sent and received any time of day, and there was an electronic log of all conversations and figures.

I was referred to Mitch A. at Consumer Direct by another very satisfied customer. I'm glad we took their advice. Mitch and the team at Consumer Direct walked us through every step of our loan process in a remarkably timely fashion, and locked us in at a very competitive rate. I'd definitely use them again and will have Mitch's contact info ready to pass on to friends and family!

Consumer Direct provided me with the most competitive interest rate. You get pass *** a lot through the process but that might be the same with an lender. Even as it was, getting passed *** to different people through the process wasn't a negative experience at all. The loan closed on the scheduled date as planned.

There was a slight hiccup because we offered an amount that included cents (it was a symbolic gesture) that should have been rounded down/up. Our agent blamed the lender (CDM), CDM blamed the lender. Again, not a big deal, it was just a slight wrinkle that required an addendum, but again, and most importantly this didn't impact the closing date.

Charles P. made the refi process easy and flow well. He explained everything upfront and provided instructions that were clear and easy to follow. He was available whenever needed to answer questions.

I give this organization 1 star because of their on line process which is in the Beta phase. The "people" often work from home doing other work l guess. No instruction on process, answer questions like they are on Twitter. Would not recommend this organization

Let me first say, that if you are going to go with Consumer Direct, please directly contact Todd G. He is THE MAN. I cannot begin to express my thanks and praise of Todd. Let me start off with saying that while shopping for a loan out of state, literally EVERYONE tried to scare me out of it, including my realtor and other local loan companies that overpromised and under-delivered.

Todd stood out in a faceless world of numbers and cold-calls. His outstanding knowledge of laws in all states, and ability to work with me during hours within my time zone truly impressed me. It wasn't until later that I realized sometimes when he spoke with me, he was up working past midnight!

Todd managed to get me a rate lock on the lowest possible rate available at the time in this entire country, with zero points and no fees. Trust me, I compared it to every other available option out there, including local loan officers, my credit union (they were truly impressed because they usually beat everyone's rate, and they couldn't even match it), the big banks, etc.

Todd went out of his way, day and night, to explain every single detail of the loan to me, and keep me well-informed throughout the entire process from start to finish. He was available via phone and text all day, every day. It was a dream come true, and really put me at ease, in addition to helping me learn more about the mortgage process in general. He was honest & trustworthy, down to earth, had a good sense of humor, kind, and truly cared about my situation, as if it were him making the home purchase. When I would get anxious or nervous about something, he went out of his way to explain things and put my mind at ease. It was like having a friend, who had my back the whole time.

Forget 30-day closing; Todd got me closed in as little as 3 weeks and some change. I feel like I found a house, blinked, and then it became mine! I didn't even think that was possible, especially after having experienced a 3 month long closing with my first home three years ago. The rate of the process has been so impressive that even my local realtor is considering referring his clients to Todd from now on, after he put the local loan officers here to shame in every category of service.

Everything went so smoothly, even the seemingly challenging parts of the process went so smooth. I cannot imagine doing business with ANY other bank or ANY other person when it comes to lending, after this wonderful experience.

Throughout the underwriting process, Samantha, Doug and Kyle did a great job expediting the paperwork and getting in touch with me quickly in order to keep it moving.

Even during the underwriting and closing phases, Todd continued to keep in touch with me and took steps to ensure that things were running on schedule. I cannot speak for Consumer Direct as a whole, aside from knowing they indeed have the best rates available that you'll find anywhere (online or locally), but when it comes to selecting a loan officer, PLEASE give Todd G. a call or email him (***@cdmtg.com) first. You won't be disappointed, and you will be extremely happy you did.

First time doing refinance...I'm always skeptical doing things online; not able to go to main office to provide personal documents information about my entire life and not seeing the loan officer in person; that I would be scammed. Charles P. changed all that!! He was amazing, explained everything I need to do thoroughly and guided me every step. I can even text him anytime for any concerns I have and I would get responses immediately, without his help I do not think I can complete all the requirements on time before my lock rate expires, he even helped me talk to contractor on resolving possible asbestos. He never made me feel that he was too busy.
