We have been using American Vintage Home for over yearsSince they started their membership program, service has declinedWhile we have no issue with the individual who came out to check/service our heating, we were very displeased to discover that bleeding the radiators, which has been done every year for as long as we've used AVH, is no longer included in the annual serviceNot only is it not included, but we were told it would be over $to have it done and it would need to be done at a follow up appointmentImmediately after the service person (who I repeat, we had no issue with) left, I called AVH to let them know of my dissatisfactionThey said they would have someone call me back, which never happenedInstead, a day or so later, I got a message from AVHI was happy to see that they had called until I listened to the message and heard it was someone calling with an offer for sewer roddingWhile the sewer rodding was free, I'm assuming it's a freebie to sell other businessThis is not the first time I've had an issue getting a call back from AVHPrevious times, I've called with questions about options recommended by the technician and not gotten a call backThis is on top of other service issues like repeatedly having to reschedule appointments because something has come up at their endI also feel like there is very little consistency from year to year in their servicingThere is always something different recommended and then someone comes the following year and recommends something totally different againI honestly think AVH has gotten too big and is more focused on their sales efforts than on servicing their existing customersThis is one longstanding customer who is ready to move on
Walter came by right on schedule to perform the annual inspection of our air conditioning unit, a *** (which was installed some years ago by American Vintage)He carried out the work thoroughly and efficientlyHe answered my questions about the unit, changed the filter, and checked our secondary room cooling unitBeyond that, he even answered my questions about our *** boiler and set up an appointment for an estimate on a new furnace, should our old one need to be replaced or if it would be cost effective to get a new model this year or next
I had a kitchen sink blockage that I could not clear with my foot hand auger I called on Friday afternoon and had a service scheduled on Monday Lester was the tech and did a fine job The clog needed a pros hand and he got things back and movingLester was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable
My heater broke down and I called American HeritageThey were on time and all work was done immediatelyThe repair man was very professionalI strongly would recommend them

I have used American Vintage for several years now, and have found them to provide consistently superior service The office staff is polite and I always feel they are trying to work with me to get the service I need as soon as possible (lately I've dealt with Anna) The technicians (this time it was Ronnie) are personable, and take the time to explain the problem and the possible resolutions in a way I can understand With some HVAC companies, it seems as if every visit/service call requires spending money to rectify a problem or prevent one These guys often say 'everything looks good' at the end of a maintenance visit and I'm out no more money

I had a very positive experienceBrian Sof American Vintage Home did a great job unclogging my bathroom sink and tub drainsThere was a sizeable hair clog and Brian took the time to rod the drum trapFirst, he explained that he was trying a less expensive repair (air ram) to see if that would workIt was not successfulThen he explained that he would have to try the more expensive repair (rodding)This workedI appreciated that Brian tried the less expensive option and that he explained during the whole process what was happeningUltimately, he had to access my drum trap and it was difficult to get to, and took some effort to remove the coverI appreciated his determinationHe wore shoe covers and cleaned up after the repairsHe was pleasant and polite
My AC(yr old unit) went out on the afternoon of the 4th of July...1st thing I did was check the weather forecast for the weekTemperatures in the 90's in just days...I decided to wait until the next morning to call because of the holiday The customer service lady was very polite and they were able to accommodate my work schedule and sent a technician to my place within just a couple hours Within an hour and a half, and a couple hundred dollars later (I expected a couple thousand for a new unit), my central AC unit was back up and running thanks to a great technician, Andrew BHe was knowledgeable, courteous, honest, and straightforward
American Vintage installed my air conditioning system and they maintain it for meI have had excellent service except for after installation I noted squirrels were climbing up the pipe and getting into my atticI asked AHV to install a baffle to prevent this but they declined and I had to hire a handyman to fashion something to keep the squirrels out of my atticI think that should have been part of the initial installation
Great company, excellent technicianHave done a number of large and small projects with them and if there's ever been an issue, they work to fix itDominic was very helpful, gave us a very detailed explanation of issues that need addressing and different options we could pursueNever felt rushed or pressured

American Vintage Home replaced an aging sump pump and battery backup at our house on 10/11/The tech, Brian S., did a great jobHe arrived promptly for the job, and finished in less than the expected timeHe took care not to damage or dirty floors, rugs, etc., and cleaned up thoroughly when he finishedHe was also very polite and patiently answered questions following the installationAll in all, a very positive experience
