We appreciate the customer reaching out regarding their concerns and for their patience in bringing this matter to a resolution. We have confirmed via communication with the local warranty department that they have been in communication with the customer this week and the necessary repair work is...

being performed.

Mr. [redacted] is mixing complaints about his mortgage application with his lender, DHI Mortgage,   with  DR Horton the homebuilder.   We at DR Horton, the homebuilder, just received word o* Mr. [redacted] loan being denied and are awaiting a denial letter *rom the lender. Upon receipt...

we have *ull intent o* re*unding Mr. [redacted] $1500 , as we have told him we will do.  It will take up to 2 weeks *or the re*und to be issued. We will expedite it as quickly as possible.   DR Horton the homebuilder does not have details on why Mr. [redacted] loan was denied but certainly i* his loan was approved, we would live up to the written agreement with him.   Thank you,               [redacted] Sales Manager-North *lorida

We have been unable to inspect the inside of her home as she has been out of town.  My understanding is she is scheduled to return on 8/17/16.  We will schedule an appointment to inspect her interior items at that time.  We have already made arrangements to work on the exterior...

items, with the following schedule:   1. Exterior rail work  schedule for Tuesday, 8/16.   2. Settlement issue at areaway is being addressed today, 8/15.   Please let me know if you need further information.   Sincerely,   [redacted] Area Construction Manager Capital Division

Mr. [redacted] called to let us know that the company sent the same tech, who told him that they were not going to do anything because that is how its supposed to be.  Under the master's restroom vanity is still very hot I have been told by other contractors that the issue is lack of insulation since the back walls is an outside wall.  The tech sent by DR Horton told me that it was hot because the doors to the vanity were closed, that he had to keep them open.  He is very dissatisfied with resolution offered.

We appreciate the customer reaching out regarding their concerns. We have confirmed with the construction manager that the driveway has been inspected and the noted cracks are under the 1/4 inch in width. Per the [redacted] warranty manual, the cracks do not meet the dimension threshold for correction...

and is a non-warrantable repair.

Again, D R Horton's response is factually incorrect.  I did not mistake the price as "starting from."  The sales agent, Travis, printed out the specifications for Lot 50 and told me, that Lot 50 was priced at $442,000. He told me he couldn't take me inside of Lot 50 because of the construction.  He circled Lot 50 on the site plan.  We did the prequaification for Lot 50 at that price.  Travis even gave me the breakdown what my costs and estimated mortgage payments would be for Lot 50.  Always at the same price.  I reiterate that I did not misunderstand, nor did I make a mistake. Travis and D R Horton purposefully misled me in terms of pricing. It bears noting, that D R Horton's first response stated that I was interested in a completely different lot in a different community.  At this point, they should acknowledge their wrongdoing and make reparations.

Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below. The reason for  the rejection is because they are just giving jargon to try and cover their butts, when I first moved into the house on October 31 2014, I was assured that the pile of debris and tree roots would be moved immediately but it wasn't this led to my house almost being flooded, which I talked to the project contractor about still they didn't remove the pile, it was only after a year when they decided to build the house on lot 47 that they removed the pile and in doing so pushed dirt under my fence which in turn caused more flooding of my back yard after months of calling and complaining they finally came out and did a botched job in resolving the issues , while in turn busting my neighbors sewer line which flowed in front of my house and property causing a horrible smell, and its been this way for a while, also without letting anyone know the company has changed the people who we need to call and contact so when calling the people like [redacted] and [redacted] they are saying "well im no longer over that area, so after finally meeting with the guy that is over the area now [redacted] and informing him of the issues in the neighborhood they have still been moving extremely slow, we are going on the 2 years in the house and the work is still not done and that is unacceptable, Now as far as the neighbors with issues I think its funny how they made sure to say within the last 90 days well the people I have spoken with are just fed up with the inactivity and the downright disrespect they have gotten from the representatives of D.R. Horton and some just don't know how to go about getting their issues expressed in the manner in which I am doing so. I really feel that it is a sad day when a company can't  and won't stand behind their product , when we all were buying they were so nice but now that there are problems we have become a nuisance. So yes I still would like a regional representative to come to Mobile and see what is going on in the [redacted] and understand that their company is doing some piss poor work on some of these homes

sincerest apologies for any inconvenience you were caused. We strive to build a topquality home for our customers. Our policy in place is that every homeowner has the opportunity towalk their new home before they purchase it and any cosmetic repairs must be made prior to closing. Our homeowners sign off on the home, " accepting" the home before they go close on it. I am not surewhat cosmetic repairs were not done prior to closing but I assure you we make every attempt possibleto take care of them before closing. If we missed something I apologize for that. We also use a diversegroup of individuals to construct our homes. It is not uncommon to have individuals doing work orrepairs that speak a different language. I assure you though the work was assigned to them by someonethat did tran slate it to them.DR Horton makes every effort to have the highest quality of customer service possible and demand thesame from the many Vendors we use. Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.the drainage water is coming under the retaining wall and the French drains were placed in the wrong place to dry up my yard. The drains were placed in the low part of the yard which requires to water to travel half the distance of my yard to reach the drain. It should have been placed at the top of the lot near the wall to prevent the water from keeping my yard saturated. Excessive amounts of water are also getting behind the wall. Their drainage contractor also did not have the knowledge of how to install the French drain properly and I the customer had to catch it. They refused to bring in a contractor with the proper knowledge to do the job right.

The above referenced complaint is a manufacturer issue.  We have informed the homeowner of such and have assisted as far as we can with making contact on our end with both the installer and manufacturer rep.  We have begun a complaint at the manufacturer level and have given instruction to...

the homeowner on how to proceed.  We have also contact both the service manager and owner of the installation company as well as the local manufacturer representative and asked them to follow up and bring this to resolution for our customer.  It is now in their hands.   Thank you,   [redacted] Customer Service Manager- Carolinas Division

A warranty manager will be reaching out to the customer to further discuss.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Specifically the monetary compensation is satisfactory.  I would like this record to reflect the following points with regards to D.R. Horton's written response:1) I was referred directly to [redacted] (in lieu of the D.R. Horton website referenced) as he was the HOA's point of contact in re-mediating the original blow-out valve repair on 4/15/16.  Overall [redacted] was respectful and kind throughout the process.2) My initial loss in water pressure was identified on 4/18/16.  The Non-Warranty Inspection offer occurred on 4/28/16.  D.R. Horton's lack of response forced my hand in incurring costs to try and get the situation resolved.  My refusal to sign the Non-Warranty Inspection was because the inspection would have covered my home and not necessarily the meter or meter to street which had already been identified as the likely source of the issue.3) D.R. Horton only contacted [redacted] AFTER I had called them in order to obtain the most current reading.  During MY call with [redacted] it was identified that my meter was not reading.  This information was shared by ME to D.R. Horton, not vice versa.4)  D.R. Horton's response includes the following language: "nor was the obstruction a result of the work performed to the mainline previously."  Just as I can't prove it was the cause this claim is equally false.  Bottom line is that we'll never know.  On 4/14/16 I had normal water pressure.  On 4/18/16 I did not.  The only thing that changed in between those dates was the repair to that blow-out valve.I regret having to come this far.  My ask from the beginning was to have the people involved in the original repair take another look.  Regrettably that appears to have never been a possibility. D.R. Horton appears to have reached a point where unusual situations are forced into usual or typical problems. Finally, I would like to acknowledge and thank D.R. Horton for reimbursing my expenses.

We appreciate the customer reaching out to us regarding their concerns. In coordinating with the division, we understand the most recent email communication (attached) detailing our investigation of water intrusion was sent on Jan. 23. Should the customer have any further questions, they are...

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However this will be the 8th time that I have had to make special arrangements for D.R. Horton to be at my home to look at this problem. Their independent inspector will need to come on my schedule as I have missed an unacceptable documented amount of time from work already due to this defective installation. This will be the second meeting that I will have involving the manufacturer as they have already been out on 6/6/2016 and determined that the material was not the issue after D.R. Horton's installer blamed the material for his inability to do a proper install at our meeting on 5/12/16. They have my contact information and I will be expecting to hear from them shortly [redacted]

Good morning!  In reference to the above complaint, the sprinkler system has been repaired, but I have just been informed that the homeowner has concerns with additional grading they feel is incorrect on their home.  We are contacting today and scheduling a customer service...
