Debited from incorrect sccount. Customer service openly stating they have a vague process and don't know how to help me.
Earnin provides you updates on how much will be debited from your account and what date. They have always been accurate in charging me and I have always been current in payments. I updated my bank account earlier this week for debit and the app clesrly showed my debit would post To account ending in 8128. It was taken From my previous account I had provided and I have tried for hours to get any indication of how I can rectify the situation and provide another form of payment to avoid over draft fees and the employees have now expressed to me multiple times that they don't know. The customer service rep has now told me I should do what I think will help and taken my advice on how to find information on how to fix this. I have asked for emailed instructions on what I can provide from my bank and myself to solve it, they have refused. I asked for a support number I was again told no. And now have been waiting for a supervisor with no eta on a response. The rep has ensured me that they have no standard clear process for how to fix it and I have the chat proof of all of this.

Desired Outcome

I would just like them to reverse the exharges and post them to the correct bank.

Our community advocates are currently in the process of assisting this community member. We need to see two direct deposits in the new checking account after the community member has confirmed new checking account set up before it can be used with an Earnin account. But we are working with the community member on a solution at this point in time.

Earnin debited my bank account 3 days earlier than agreed, resulting in overdraft fees and a negative balance.
I used the "CHAT" option for customer service, as it is their only option, but was not able to obtain a refund for the overdraft fee. The excuse given was "banks will often reverse Earnin debits if that debit caused an overdraft" so I was told to wait 2 business days to see if it corrected itself. The issue of my account being debited three days early was never given a proper explanation. I stressed repeatedly that the dates I agreed to for debit were my pay dates of 5th & 20th of each month; this debit occurred today, 1/2/20.

I am seeking refund of *** the overdraft fee implemented by my bank for the early debit from Earnin

I contacted Earnin after noticing several overdraft fees in my account the representative was not helpful and closed the chat.
December 27th 2019 I contacted Earnin regarding the charges they made causing overdraft fees. The representative was not helpful she was asking me to send a screenshot of the recent transactions through the chat which has no option to send screenshots. Then I had to send them through email. Well the lady now says there is a bank connection issue which was fine before the chat she had me close the app and reopen it to "connect to the bank". She claims due to the length of time waited she closed the chat and could no longer assist through chatting. Anywho I was charged before my Direct Deposit hit the account causing overdraft fees. I would like this resolved.

Desired Outcome

I want the two 34 dollar fees refunded.

We reached out to this community member via email and although we haven't received a reply, we have let her know she has been reimbursed for the two overdraft fees incurred by Earnin's debits. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope this resolution is sufficient.

I have unauthorized charges from the Earnin' app. They refuse to return my money after contacting several times.
They deducted money from my account without my consent I never agreed for anybody to debit my account for any reason. My account is now in the negative because of their foolishness. I was only aware of the app being FREE and an option to TIP them when borrowing from my own check.

Desired Outcome

I am done using their services. I want all of my money back PLUS the overdraft fee of $29 back into my account. That's a total of $129!! AND I WANT ALL OF MY INFORMATION OFF OF THIS APP. I want my account with them closed. I'm going to dispute the transaction because it is fraud if no resolution is made to my account.

In our most recent chat with this community member, authorization of their account has been revoked, per their request. The Cash Out made on 12/28 for a total of *** has been cancelled by their bank and thus the debit has not been deducted from their account.

They debited my account 2 days early and caused major overdraft fees.
They debited my account 2 days early and not only did they take *** I didn't have yet (because my paycheck doesn't get direct deposited for another 2 days) but they also caused *** of overdraft fees because of it. I used their customer service chat function to speak with 4 different people over the course of 2 hours and they refuse to assist and just keep saying I need to call my bank, and the bank is the one who put the charges through early. They stated they have a "contract" with the bank about when their charges are supposed to go through and it is the bank who didn't adhere to this, and that I have to talk to my bank and see if they will refund it to me. The bank is closed today and tomorrow for the holiday and they know that, but still refused to help knowing that I needed help now and could not go 2 days with negative *** in my bank account. The last person I spoke with refused to escalate my issue any higher and left the chat, stating they could not resolve my issue. They specified at several points in our conversation that they are fully aware this is no fault of my own but still refuse to do anything to help me. I advised if they have a contract with the bank and the bank violated that contract, then that is between them and the bank to deal with, they should refund me and then take it up with the bank themselves, yet they still refused to assist further or refund any of the charges/fees. All they did was copy and paste the same generic response over and over again that they are not responsible for any overdraft fees that may be incurred, and that it is the banks fault for debuting the charges before their scheduled date. Their customer service representatives lacked empathy***.

Desired Outcome

I want these overdraft charges refunded to me as quickly as possible, I want an apology from this company for the way their customer service representatives treated me tonight, and I want them to ensure this will not happen again.

We reached out to this community member via email and she let us know that she was able to contact her bank and have the overdraft fees reimbursed. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and we truly regret her negative experience with our community advocates. The community member has been put in direct contact with someone from the upper tier of our support team should she have any questions or concerns in the future.

They are very helpful and professional I've never had one problem with my money going missing or anything everything is what is says and the app is legit very friendly and they get problems fixed.

The customer service rep was very patient and literally tried everything to help me with my question. He was extremely professional but still connected with me on a easy level. His customer service was amazing.

I have been using Earnin for a few months now, after having various difficulties even setting up a more well advertised competitor app. I'm so glad that one didn't work - I LOVE using Earnin. I recently had a personal financial issue and contacted Earnin via chat in hopes there was an option to help me. Their agent, Kathleen, was personable, efficient, and supportive through our chat. Worst customer service and no resolution
I sent in an email ticket to have my withdraw rescheduled and they didn't get back to me even when submitting it per their guidelines 3 days prior to withdraw date. Talked to *** dawn today since I didn't hear back. She said it couldn't be withdrawn and referred me to section 8 of terms and conditions saying they could take money whenever. I then referred her to section 8s part stating " Activehours will attempt to avoid charging your bank account if we believe your bank account does not contain sufficient funds to cover repayment of a Pay Out or payout for Balance Shield in the pay period. " and sent screenshots of my balance in my account showing that there was no funds for them to take. Informed her she could take the full amount out on Jan 3rd when I get paid for the first time with my new job. She the. Told me that I need to be referred to a specialist for them to tell me that I was going to still basically be debited regardless of what their own terms and conditions state. I asked for a supervisor which never happened and she rudely left the chat without solving the issue. I will now be 100$ in debt with my bank and have over draft fees will Jan 3rd! Which Bank of America takes out very often! Unacceptable when it's in their terms and conditions that they will avoid the withdraw if they know there's not funds. It doesn't say in that section that there's a limit or anything on the amount of extensions. I made them aware that my job had ended and I would be getting a new one. So it wasn't news to them. This is outrageous and I'll never use them again.

Desired Outcome

I want the money back in my account and taken out on Jan 3rd or I will have to block them from my bank and they won't get it at all. Cover my overdraft fees too!
