Always a Fabulous experience when I talk to customer support. Kyle helped me solve my problem right away. Thank you for being Wonderful

Earnin Response • Feb 20, 2020

Thank you for your review! We truly appreciate your feedback and will send this to Kyle.

Great app. Been using this app for over a year and it helps when desperately needed. Just please don't abuse this appp.

Earnin Response • Feb 18, 2020

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your review.

I appreciate this app a lot, but I do think it's a bit greedy. The owners are making a ton of money by asking for tips. I tip every single time, but I can tell that I don't tip "enough" money for them to raise my max. It's really obvious that this is the issue. And even though I do tip, I still get notifications saying something along the lines of "we need you to contribute...". They say tipping doesn't directly affect your limits, but it definitely does play a big part.

Earnin Response • Feb 14, 2020

Hi, there. Your voluntary tip does not affect your Max. We believe you should be able to access a portion of your paycheck as you earn it without having any fees or interest, so tips do not affect your pay period Max. Your voluntary tips help keep the community up and going and power our Pay It Forward feature.

They really help out when needed and customer service is great!

Earnin Response • Feb 14, 2020

Thank you for sharing your experience!

They have really good customer service and solved my issue right away (which was actually my issue with my phone settings). You always have to be careful with payday loans, but this service doesn't trap you or charge crazy interest. You pay whatever fee you want and that's it.

Earnin Response • Feb 13, 2020

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We are happy to hear that you are using and liking the app. We appreciate your feedback and for being such a valuable part of our community!

don't EVER attempt to change your bank info if you have a pending payment. They will send you a gazillion emails a day stating they can verify your direct deposit! Duh is, I switched accounts! Then once you get the direct deposit they claim they can't "see" it on their end but can see the money I owed taken out! It was good while it lasted! None of the chat people tell you the same information...I was told I could show them my deposit and they update my info manually...tried doing that and bam! That's not enough we need to see it on our end??? SAY WHAT! You'll didn't say that before! I'm showing you my account directly from my bank app! Bogus!

Earnin Response • Feb 14, 2020

Hi, there. Thanks for your patience as our community advocates have reviewed your account. When a community member switches checking accounts, Earnin needs to see either one direct deposit and a screenshot of the paystub, or two direct deposits in the account before normal Cash Out activity can resume. There can sometimes be a delay in communication between the bank and your Earnin account, which is why our community advocates suggested a 24-hour processing period. It looks like our advocates were able to get your account up and running, and you're good to go. Feel free to reach out to any of our support channels if you have further concerns. Thank you.

Earning would not reverse ACH debits from my old bank account resulting in $114 in NSF fees. Need ACH re-debited from new account.
I am in the process of switching banks, Earning ("Merchant") submitted three (3) ACH debits to my old checking account, and as my paycheck is going into my new account, I incurred $114 in NSF fees. (Merchant is aware of this as I sent bank screenshots). I communicated with the merchant for two days because my bank told me that if these debits were reversed, then the NSF fees would be refunded. Merchant kept directing me to the bank to reverse however the bank cannot as the transactions posted when they hit my account; the merchant needed to initiate the reversals and debit my new checking account for fees owed which they would not, nor does it appear that a manager reviewed my situation even though I requested it numerous times. Left with no other option, I have now filed disputes/chargebacks on the ACH debits so that I can get the three NSF fees refunded and the merchant can debit my new checking account. However based on the response so far from the merchant, I wanted to file a Revdex.com complaint to ensure this was addressed because my requests for management review were not supported and additionally, the disputes ensure that the bank refunds the NSF fees and the business is not responsible for them while still getting their payment for services provided.

As a side note its frustrating to not have a request for management review honored and the merchant not willing to reverse the debits on the old account as they would still get paid via the new one and the bank would refund the NSF fees. Whats worse is that this is an easy fix and has turned into a huge mess, even though I went to the merchant first and tried to resolve with them.

Desired Outcome

I want the merchant to have management review my account and conversation (you can only chat with the merchant through their app to communicate so it is all there) and either; 1. Deny the disputes but file reversals and debit my new account or, 2. Accept the disputes and debit my new account. Either option ensures that the merchant still gets paid for services rendered and that the bank refunds the *** in fees.

Earnin Response • Feb 12, 2020

We have credited the account of three NSF fees as a one-time courtesy for the community member.

When changing bank accounts, we advise community members to reach out to use before their payday so we can reschedule the debit dates as we need to see two successful direct deposits in the new checking account before it can be used with Earnin.

We apologize for any confusion on this matter. Thank you for your patience.

Customer Response • Feb 12, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
the business did not address the disputes I filed with the bank for the three ACH debits, these need to be accepted and the new account debited so the bank reverses all NSF fees. This has overdrawn my account over *** will the ACH debits be reversed?

Earnin Response • Feb 13, 2020

When switching bank accounts, we need advance notice in order to properly transfer funds to and from their new account. We do not have the ability to reverse debits once they are sent to the bank. We have given the community member a reimbursement for their overdraft fees as a one time courtesy.

Customer Response • Feb 18, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The bank disputed ACH's returned and I just chatted with Earnin who will be debiting from my new checking account tomorrow.

I am appalled at the business practices of this company. I was unemployed for a brief time and Earnin deducted my cheking account causing fees.
The overdraft fees were incurred while my account was in an overdraft state and it happened twice. The rep only reimbursed one fee as I was promised two overdraft fees as a courtesy. I have had nothing but complicated communication with this company regarding these issues and I have to constantly advise each rep to read previous notes carefully because they make assumptions and show a lack of sympathy without reviewing the facts. I was told that the Earnin deduction was on hold until I advised the company but it appears that they drafted my account without authorization and I have rent and other important bills due. This was bad timing and a inconvenience.

Desired Outcome

I want my *** that was deducted and ALL of the fees to be reimbursed.

Earnin Response • Feb 11, 2020

After reviewing this community member's account, we have reimbursed them for the second overdraft fee in question. They were also informed about their $100 debit as to why and when their account was debited. Since our last interaction, the community member has since deleted their account.

I've been using Earnin of a few weeks now and you can borrow *** a pay period and they will automatically take out what you owe the next check you get. I got *** for my check this week and Earnin took *** Then I go back and look and they have taken *** More. I cashed out *** feb 7 because I only had *** left but I didn't use any money until the next day! And there is no way I used *** in a day. So they took *** From me when they only should have taken *** and next week they will take another *** for what I cashed out Friday. I'm not ok with spending *** more than what I borrowed from them!!

Desired Outcome

I would my money back all but the *** i used last week. I shouldn't have gone from *** To *** in a day.

Earnin Response • Feb 13, 2020

We reached out to this community member via email with a breakdown of the recent transactions in question, but unfortunately have not yet received a response. All of the debits made to this community member's account directly reflect the cash outs they made during this time and have not been made in error. If the community member has further questions or concerns, we urge them to respond to our email so we can appropriately explain the nature of these debits.

Jean looked into my situation rather quickly, and was tremendous help with getting my account up to date. Rent would be difficult this month if it wasn't for this app and certainly Jean! My appreciation beyond the characters I can express here!

Charged before my payday which has resulted in a large amount of overdraft fees.
Around 12/24/19 I had initiated an account with Earnin to help me out before my payday less than a week away. I originally borrowed a total of $150- and my payroll is set for a certain day (Which changes monthly!) , however depending on the banking institution or which day of the week / holiday it falls on, could delay the deposit. One day before my check was set to come out, all 3 charges went through causing three separate overdraft charges . Immediately upon realizing this at 6am , I had to jump on chat and go back and forth with representatives who ultimately offered no help and no follow up when clearly my issue hadn't been resolved. All the while trying to get ahold of a live person is not possible according to Earnin. Fast forward , I had switched direct deposit accounts and still, the same issue, now causing another three separate overdraft charges after once again reiterating the fact that my payday changes monthly, & while they knew of this , nothing was changed or edited regarding my account. I now owe more in overdrafts than I did owed originally to Earnin .

Desired Outcome

To finally receive some assistance and either a refund or credit instead of being asked to send the same documentation over & over- I simply have provided all the proof and have not had any type of resolution offered simply

Earnin Response • Feb 20, 2020

After communicating with the community member, we were able to resolve the issue by refunding overdraft fees and explaining why this situation happened. We hope the resolution is what the community member was looking for.

My account was hacked. The refuse to give me my money. No one at the customer service will answer my questions. 10 days later and not a single respons
On Jan 31st Earnin debited my account for *** dollars. That same day my account was hacked and someone with a different debit card (not my name) was able to access my account and withdraw money. I filed a complaint that day and was told I would hear from a specialist in 24 hours. I then noticed the next three days someone was able to attach another bank account to my account (again with not my information) and in total stole 350 dollars from me. I contacted Earnin repeatedly and was told by the customer service agents that someone would contact me in 24 hours. Never heard anything. Today is February 6th and I contacted Earnin again and was told the same thing again. I asked to speak with a manager to try and get even an update as I need to supplement the deposit that was taken from my account. *** chatted with me and told me she had no answers and there was no one above her that could speak with me and ended our chat with no additional information given other than someone would email me "that's the forth time they have told me this" I have used the same account since I got the app and this last Friday someone else gained access. I'm sure they have to have a history of this. It should not be difficult to figure out. I don't know what else to do to get the money returned and don't want them to debit my account for money the carelessly gave to someone else. I need help getting any updates or information from them as you cannot speak to anyone with any information

Desired Outcome

I want the *** deposited into my account

Customer Response • Feb 12, 2020

As of today feb 12th I still have heard zero about the status from this company. this has caused my account to go negative and suffer over draft fees. I want those covered from Earnin as well in the amount of $210.00

Earnin Response • Feb 12, 2020

Our advocates have been in contact with the community member and have provided steps to take toward a possible solution.
We so no erroneous actions on our end and will require further formal documentation (i.e. a police report) in order to delve into the issue further as we see no out of the norm actions on the account.

Customer Response • Feb 13, 2020

This does not solve my complaint they have not told me anything to do. My card was not stolen they allowed someone else to draw money out of my account and have not contacted me in anyway other than to say they are investigating it

Earnin Response • Feb 13, 2020

If the community member's account was compromised, they are advised to reach out to their bank regarding fraud in their account. Any transactions made by and from their bank account must be disputed through the bank itself if the community member believes these charges to be fraudulent.

Customer Response • Feb 14, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There was no fraud on my bank account. Earnin debited the money back from my account. I went in to cash out and noticed that Earnin was claiming they had given me payment and they had not. I spoke with a customer service member and they said that money was being deposited on to a card that was not mine and into a bank account that was not mine. I never received any money other than 100 dollars and have sent my bank transaction now multiple times to prove this and still get no response today my account was debited again for 400 dollars that's money I never received. I feel like Earnin is trying to scam me at this point and they have access to my bank account so there is nothing I can do about them stealing my money

Earnin Response • Feb 15, 2020

The debits made to the community member's account match the Cash Outs the community member made during their last pay period. Everything looks correct on our end. If the community member believes there has been fraudulent activity on their account, we suggest they reach out to their bank and/or local authorities to resolve any suspected fraud.

Lhuz was so helpful, and polite. Definitely excellent customer service!!!

We appreciate your feedback and are thrilled to have you as a part of our community.

There is always a problem with the earnin app every month for me. Now it's telling me I don't have any earnings and need to provide a timesheet. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I've been an outstanding customer of earnin for over a year. I've never missed a payment. I have built my earnings up to receiving max of $500.00 monthly (5 separate daily loans of 100.00). I provided a copy of my bank statement showing my job ACH direct deposit and showing the 5 earning payments paid from my account. This process started happening a few months ago where I have to provide screenshots when I've never had to do this in the past. I've had problems with this site for 5 consecutive months and haven't done anything different as I've done over the past year. The first 7 to 8 months, things went smoothly, I cashed out and paid back, then it would allow you to follow the same pattern. Now after a year or more of cashing out and paying back on time, they are asking me for a timesheet from my job. I've never had to provide this from day 1 and now the app won't allow me to use it for cashing out any funds. Stay away from this app because obviously it's becoming more of a scam day by day. Frustrated customer that was actually a great customer.

Earnin Response • Feb 04, 2020

In order for us to accurately add earnings, we must do so through either an electronic timesheet or GPS. This allows us to appropriately track the community member's hours and to establish a consistent pay pattern. Unfortunately, in this case, we see that the community member's GPS is not always turned on when they were at work, either because they have their GPS turned off or they are in a location with a poor WIFI signal/connection. For this reason, they have been asked to submit a timesheet as an alternative. We apologize that this may be frustrating or inconvenient for the community member, however, we are not able to add earnings through bank statements or direct deposit statements alone.

She was very efficient, professional and polite! Trisha is a great representative!
