Review: they have 2 negative entries on my [redacted] credit report for the same account number and for a collection for [redacted]. One of the collections was for collection for unreturned equipment. I later proved it was returned so so the collection sows a zero balance and as closed but it still shows as a negative on my report.I believe two negative entries for the same account number for the same collection ([redacted]) is double jeopardy and is illegalRepeated letters have had no resultDesired Settlement: Delete the 2nd negative credit entrythat is delete the closed account with zero balance from all my credit reports

Business

Response:

There are two entries because [redacted] assigns one for the service balance and one for the equipment balance. The equipment balance remains as a pif late entry because it wasn't paid for over 60 days.

Review: In 2011 I used to be using [redacted] they were over charge me for $1000. When I realized that, I stopped using the service and start making payments with [redacted] even I did making payment with [redacted] they sent me to eastern account system inc. When I called eastern account system they said to me if I made online payment with them they not gonna sent to credit connections. I done payment with them. When I check my credit report in 2014 I see thing pull up on my credit report and then [redacted] said I owned them for equipment. When I called [redacted] after they investigate they said sorry they will fix that and I called eastern account for rectification they said they will fix that and remove my name from them account system. I just checked my credit report those informations still on my credit reportDesired Settlement: I want them to Remove my name from the credit collections. That's affected my credit report

Business

Response:

We informed Mr. [redacted] that we would and did remove the equipment reporting item. In light of his making payments consistently we will send for removal of his service balance. please allow 4 weeks to see removal.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: I continue to receive threathening collection calls from a [redacted] regarding my [redacted] account, which was been paid in full last October and the equipment was returned. In fact, I received a refund check for over payment! [redacted] is threathening to report to the credit agencies. I have spoken to [redacted] several times and they state the account is in FACT up to date and they have sent notification to Eastern. The harshment needs to stop!!!!!Desired Settlement: I want the calls to stop and notification in writing that no negative information will be reported to any credit agency.Thank you.

Review: I HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION FOR CREDIT MONITORING, DUE TO IDENTITY THEFT, WITH[redacted]. ON JANUARY 13, 2015 I RECEIVED A TEXT ALERT THAT A NEW COLLECTION WAS PLACED ON MY ACCOUNT. I LOGGED IN TO MY ACCOUNT TO TO SEE EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM ON MY CREDIT REPORT $100. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR ON THE ACCOUNT IS [redacted] CABLE. I CONTACTED[redacted] AND SPOKE WITH [redacted] IN [redacted] BILLING DEPARTMENT AND WAS TOLD BY HER THAT THE ACCOUNT IS IN GOOD STANDING AND THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE ACCOUNT TO BE ON MY CREDIT REPORT. SO WITH THAT BEING SAID THE ACCOUNT SHOULD BE REMOVED BECAUSE 1. I NEVER RECEIVED VALIDATION OF DEBT PRIOR TO THIS ACCOUNT BEING ADDED TO MY CREDIT REPORT (WHICH IS ILLEGAL) 2. [redacted] VERIFIED THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED WITH OUT ANY ISSUES AND SHOULD NOT BE ON MY CREDIT REPORT. AGAIN I'M QUOTING[redacted] FROM BILLING AT[redacted] CABLE.Desired Settlement: ITEM NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM CREDIT REPORT IMMEDIATELY. WITH A LETTER CONFIRMING REMOVAL OF ACCOUNT.

Business

Response:

We sent to letters informing you of the debt on 11-6-14 and 12-15-14 to the address you listed on this complaint. We also confirmed the debt with you on the phone on 1-13-15. It is now closed as paid in full

Consumer

Response:

Review:[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I never confirmed debt. The account was already paid in full so there was no need to confirm debt. I also verified with [redacted] in[redacted] billing that account was satisfied and should not have been placed for collections. So that is a flat out lie to say the debt was confirmed with m . I asked for validation of debt.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

We would be happy to if they authorize it. Did they say they would be contacting us? Otherwise they transfer information electronicall.y

Consumer

Response:

Review:[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: REP JUST TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD BE ESCALATING TO THE COLLECTIONS DEPARTMENT AND I WILL RECEIVE A PHONE CALL WHEN IT IS DONE. I ALSO TOLD THEM TO EMAIL OR MAIL ME A LETTER STATING THAT ITEM SHOULD AND WILL BE REMOVED. I WILL CONTACT YOU IF I GET SOMETHING FIRST AND I GUESS YOU CAN CONTACT ME IF YOU GET SOMETHING.

Sincerely,

Review: I sent a dispute validation letter to Eastern Account Systems both by Fax and Certified Mail as they are reporting a collection on my credit report and are reporting as Paid. I have never made payment to this collection agency or [redacted] who is the original creditor nor do I recall having to pay a debt for $956 dollars. Also in my dispute I asked for them to provide proof of their surety bond on file with the Secretary of State of [redacted] as required for all collection agencies since I am a [redacted] resident. They have not responded to my letter and have not provided any proof of anything. Account number [redacted]xxx-xx-xxxxDesired Settlement: To remove this entry from my credit report immediately.

Business

Response:

We do not have anyone by that name or address on our system to identify the account. The account number is also incomplete. Can you please send some additional identifying information so that we can help? Thank you.

Review: [redacted] sent Eastern Acct System of CT after they said I did not pay a bill that I owed on a closed account. I would like this removed from my credit

[redacted] called once in November, 2012 to say that my closed account from my old address had a balance remaining for not returning equipment in the amount of $143.06. I told them that their technician took the equipment with him when he installed my equipment at my new apartment. They said they would check the facility once more and call back in two weeks if the equipment was still not found and we could discuss the issue then. They never called me back, nor did they send me a bill for my account balance. I transferred services where my name, SSN, and phone number are linked to both accounts. My forwarding address was my current apartment, so they had the information they needed to send a bill and make me aware of the situation. On Dec. 7th 2012, my parents (who are residents of a different state) received a letter from the credit company saying that I owed [redacted] money. I had tried to work the issue with [redacted] multiple times and they have not responded to my request to ask the credit company to remove this from my account knowing that I was not at fault. On Dec 17, 2012, I went to [redacted] to pay off the bill just to get this off of my account, even though I did not have the equipment. While I was there, the woman said that the storage place had "conveniently" located all of that equipment except for an $11 remote control. The equipment had been at their facility the entire time and I did should not have had the credit company sent after me for my balance since it was [redacted] that could not locate my equipment. The woman at the desk said she would request it be removed from my credit history. I had my credit checked in May, 2013 to get a credit card and was rejected due to the fact that I had a debt collection on my account. I have paperwork to back this information up and can provide account numbers as well so that this can be removed from my credit history. Eastern Account System of Connecticut, Inc account number: XXXXXXXX.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the fact that I had debt collection sent to me removed from my credit history since [redacted] did not send a bill to inform me of the missing equipment even though they had my current address and it was located in their facility during this entire issue. Thank you!

Review: This is regarding a medical bill that was handled by Eastern Account System, account number #[redacted], address identification number #[redacted]. Original creditor was [redacted] and the total bill was $493 I became aware of this bill through my credit report in November of 2013 and immidiatly paid it, my complaint is this bill was suppose to go to my health insurance company and I believed that it had been paid in full. They never tried to contact me before reporting it to the credit agency. I recived no letters or phone calls to advise me this bill was due or was in collections. I believe I should have gotten proper notification before it was reported to my credit report. I have disputed this with the credit agency and asked for it to be removed but it was only updated as paid, I continue to disagree with their findings and want it removed from my credit report as it is negativaly affecting me.Desired Settlement: I would like for this company to be required to remove it from my credit report, I should have gotten fair and addequate opprotunity to address the issue before it was reported to my credit report.

Business

Response:

We sent a letter 45 days before Mr. [redacted] responded explaining the debt. Since he claims he didn't receive and in the interest of settling this dispute we will send for removal. Please allow 4 weeks for removal to show.

Review: I received a notice from this company out if the blue. They list a creditor with whom I have never done business. They say I got a letter more than 30 days ago. The only letter I got was on 12/7 and their letter was dated 11/25, or almost 2 weeks apart. Bottom line: They have the wrong customer. The creditor indicates that they never had me as a customer. I never received any correspondence from anyone prior to this time. My payment on time record with the credit agencies is literally 100%. I have paid every bill that I have ever owed on time and in full. I am highly upset and feel that EAS is knowingly attempting to collect a debt for which no basis exist.Desired Settlement: Remove and retract the erroneous debt from any and all credit reporting agencies, with a confirmation to me.

Business

Response:

[redacted] is claiming this debt is still due for a former address of [redacted]. Have you lived there? Can you verify your ss# or last 4 digits to us on the phone or in writing? Please verify so we can set this straight.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I have spoken to numerous people this morning at your company. Here is where we are at:

1. I have never, ever lived in the State of [redacted].

2. I have never engaged [redacted] for any services or equipment.

3. You failed to provide me a 30 day notice at my ** address prior to taking adverse action.

4. Your letter stated that you were writing to me using ** License [redacted].

5. The ** Department of Insurance shows that their license was inactive and, therefore, were not allowed to conduct any collection activities against a ** citizen.

6. I have filed a police report; made a complaint with the FCC; made a report to the ** Attorney General; filed a claim against the company for providing false and misleading information (their inactive license number); filed a complaint with the Revdex.com; filed a complaint with the FTC; and, I am trying to file a small claims suit against the company.

Can you share this with them? Thank you so much for your help.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

As mentioned on the phone, we are removing the account.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

1. I was told that you would have to wait on my police report before you would react.

2. I do not waive any claim or right that I may have against the company for engaging in false and misleading practices, which is providing and representinf to me a [redacted] License number that was "inactive" (and has been inactive since 2004).

3. I will seek some monetary compensation for the companie's actions.

4. I am appreciative that the claim will be removed from my credit report.

Sincerely,

Review: The account number in question is [redacted]. In June 2011, I discontinued my service with [redacted] and provided them with my new mailing address in order to receive my return mailing package for cable modem and final bill. I never received either, but moved in with my (then) fianc. We resumed [redacted] service immediately in his name and alerted them of the connection and again of my new mailing address. We were told to use the modem in which we had and that they couldn't locate any usage for final bill. All was well. We never thought ANYTHING of it. Fast forward to September 2012 when I pull my credit report and saw EAS reporting $86 on my credit report. I never received any mailings, phone calls or notification of any credit collection. I immediately called them and let them know this, I was told that I could pay them and since I didn't receive any notices that it could be removed from my file. I believed it and I paid them. Over a year later and they are still reporting on my credit report and only updated it! I filed a dispute with the CRA and they verified it and in turn went back on what they told me. I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ACCOUNT. IF [redacted] supplied them with an old address that it NOT MY FAULT! This is causing me financial difficulty due to EAS and their (seemingly terrible) communication with [redacted]. Not to mention the outright lie they told me to collect money.Desired Settlement: I want this account removed from all my credit reports immediately.

Business

Response:

We documented the account as informing Ms. [redacted] that the account would be updated as pif, not removed. In light of her address changing and possibly not seeing our notices we will send for removal. Please allow 4-6 weeks for the removal to be processed.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution (deragotory information being removed from my credit report) is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: I recently learned that EAS filed 3 "hits" on my credit report. I tried to call to resolve but cannot speak with a live operator. I left four messages on 7/29/14, at 12:42P, 12:49P, 6:46P & 9:05P. I believe that they also hit my report credit report twice for the same amount and probably the same issue. I cannot clear my credit report without their assistance. I do not know who the original debt was with to even resolve the issue myself. They placed 3 accounts in collection but I cannot get a response or resolution from them. The amounts are $107, $107 and $94. I believe the $107 are for the same issue. (Please see items 4.1, 5.1 and 6.1 on the attached credit report itemization.)Desired Settlement: I would like the 3 EAS collection inquires removed from my credit report with all credit bureaus; If their claims are indeed valid, I would like them to validate the claims against me and I let me know who the original creditors are. I have the right to dispute the claims in any event

Business

Response:

Our agent spoke to you on 7/30 and explained charges. They are all seperate dates of service. We will get validation and mail out. Our agent can be reached at ###-###-####.

Review: I am lodging a formal complaint against eastern account system. This company is reporting derogatory information on my [redacted] credit report for a cable bill in the amount of $560 that I don't recognize. A couple months ago I sent this company a [redacted]'s fair credit extension and uniformity act [redacted] debt validation letter, which requires this company to send me a complete validation of this account. Eastern account system replied to my validation request with a paper printed from there computer with only my name, account number, and a balance due. In my state of [redacted] that is not enough information to consider this debt validated. In addition I will be filing complaints with my state attorney general office, ftc,and the cfpb if this company does not delete this account from my [redacted] report and if they are reporting to [redacted],and [redacted] also. Thank your for your time!Desired Settlement: Delete account from the three credit bureaus immediately!

Business

Response:

The validation we sent was directly off of [redacted]'s system and was up to the minute of the request. We will get a copy of the final bill that [redacted] has already sent and mail another copy right away.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Sincerely,

[redacted] I want a complete validation not just a final bill as I said before I do not recognize this [redacted] bill they are claiming I owe. I want everything that was included in my [redacted] debt validation letter including contract with my signature on it. I will be filing complaints with my state attorney general office, ftc, and the cfpb... because your company intentionally ignored what was needed in my pennsylvania fair credit extension uniformity act debt validation letter which I have proof your company recieved via usps tracking.

Business

Response:

[redacted] does not use signed contracts so we cannot provide one. While they are still maintaining this is due, in an effort to satisfy the complaint, we will cancel on our system and send for removal from the credit bureau. Please allow 4-5 weeks for the removal to process. Thank you

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: I have contacted them several times to resolve a collections issue. There is a collection on my credit report for [redacted] service from 2008 for an address in [redacted]. The name is the same as mine, but I have not lived in [redacted] since 1997 and in 2008 there is proof that I lived in [redacted]. I have tired to work with them to get this removed from my credit because they mis-reported it to the credit agencies, and they are unwilling to help. Even the social security number linked to this account is not my social security number, so I have no idea why it is showing up on my credit report. They continue to tell me to contact [redacted] and that it is identity fraud. [redacted] has done nothing to solve the issue either. They need to fix the issue since they have mis-reported it to the credit agency and it has nothing to do with identity fraud since it is not my social security number on the account!Desired Settlement: I need them to remove this collection from my credit report. It has prevented me from acquiring loans because it has lowered my credit rating.

Business

Response:

We will cancel and send for removal from his credit report. Please allow 4 weeks for the deletion request to show. We still suggest bringing proof of identify fraud to [redacted] as we cannot speak for how and if they will handle in the future.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I would like to keep this complaint open until I see that the collections charge has been canceled and removed from my credit report. After the business has followed through with their said actions, I will be happy to accept this response.

Sincerely,

Review: Three accounts being reported to [redacted] are not mine.

I sent EAS a letter on August 14, 2013 to dispute three accounts that are reporting on my credit report.

Account Number: [redacted]

Original Creditor: [redacted]Y SER

Balance: $0.00

Account Number: [redacted]

Original Creditor: [redacted] SER

Balance: $56

Account Number: [redacted]

Original Creditor: [redacted] SER

Balance: $80

I have reason to believe that these accounts belong to my father and not me. I never had a [redacted] account. My SSN is[redacted]and DOB is [redacted] so that you can check your records and see that this in fact is not mine.Desired Settlement: Please have these three accounts deleted from my credit report and provide me with a letter stating that they will be removed.

Business

Response:

The first account listed has your social security number listed above attached to it. The second two do not list a ss# so if you can prove you did not live at [redacted] from 2005 to June 2011, we will remove.

Consumer

Response:

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

I am very upset on how you cannot due a little bit of research on your own and see that these accounts are not mine. That address is for [redacted] Residence. This is a 184-unit apartment building that is restricted to house [redacted]s and it also provides housing for [redacted] individuals in eight 3-bedroom apartments, which are leased to the [redacted]. Here is the link for the website. http:/[redacted].htm

I not not even [redacted] yet so how can I possibly live there. I have never lived at that address in my life. The fact that you continue to report this account on my credit report entitles me to $1,000 per violation. Unless you remove all three accounts, I will contact the Law Office of [redacted] in [redacted] to represent me in suing you for defamation and for reporting a collection account on my credit report that is not mine. More importantly, doesn't even have a social security number attached to it, so how can you put this on my credit report. I sent you a letter for all three of these accounts and you never responded either. The first account is not mine. I never owned a [redacted] bill before. Show me proof that this account is mine. It shows a zero balance so show me what information was used to pay this account because I can assure you that it is not mine.

Review: My equipment from [redacted] was turned in directly with receipt received. 2 account collections were placed on credit report afterwards by eastern acct

I have contacted [redacted] on 2 occasions once notification was received on Eastern Accounts intent to send up a collection. [redacted] sent over notification again on March 16th that the account was in good standing and equipment returned. Eastern Account systems then proceeded to place 2 different collections on my credit report and when I disputed them because they were invalid, they changed them to reflect a zero balance but did not remove just updated. When I contacted [redacted] several weeks ago they said they would send notification to Eastern accounts that the accounts were fine. This was sent on 3/16/2013 and again on 5/7/13. My complaint is inspite of the account holder being dealt with directly, this collection agency chose to report accounts that were not in collections and in fact paid to the account owner. With [redacted] sending out notifications to not report and accounts being in positive standing, they went ahead and reported negative information in an untimely fashion and with negative intent.Desired Settlement: I would like the items placed on my credit report removed since they were taken care of with [redacted] directly, with receipt recieved prior to anything being placed on my credit report.

Business

Response:

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2013/05/08) */

We were listing the account as directed by our client. We were given no directive to remove the credit entry. Because it was paid soon after, we will send for removal in the interest of compromise. Please allow 4 weeks for removal.

Review: This account is on my credit report since 2007. I have sent numerous letters to direct dispute with them with regard to this account to be deleted from my credit report. In February 2015 after sending a certified letter to this company with regard to the erroneous information and account on my credit report, they deleted the account from my credit report. However, on March 13, 2015, they readied it to my credit report. I have called and spoke to someone names [redacted] who stated that it will be removed in 30-45 days. However, given that I have been disputing this since January 2015, that will make over 4 months to rectify this error. I respectfully request that this company remove this account from my credit report immediately and rapid rescored so as not to cause me any more irreparable harm.Desired Settlement: To have this erroneous about deleted from my credit report immediately and be rapid rescored.

Business

Response:

We can definitely help but can't find your account. Nothing under that address or phone number. Can you give an account number or last 4 digits of your ss# or another address it may be under? Thank you.

Review: I sent my police affidavit along with the federal trade commission affidavit and they refused to remove the negative items off my credit report I sent all the information a year ago yet its reporting nowDesired Settlement: a swift removal off my credit report

Business

Response:

We did not refuse to cancel the account. It has already been cancelled on our system and sent from removal from the credit bureau. Please allow approximately 4 weeks for the removal to show.

Review: Eastern Account Systems was collecting a debt on behalf of [redacted] for $248.11 Neither [redacted]t nor EAS verified my billing adddress. and sent all of the bills to an incorrect address, and reported me to [redacted] that I didn't pay. I can't pay without a bill, I'm not psychic. I found this collection on my credit report and contacted EAS and asked them to do the following: correct my address, send me a bill, and take this off my credit report immediately. They said that they would. They corrected my address, and sent me a bill but REFUSE to take this off my credit report. This was their error, not mine. I've sent payment for the past due amount that I didn't know I owed, I've sent proof of payment twice, and they still won't agree to take this ridiculous collection charge off my credit report.Desired Settlement: Please take this collection off of my credit report, per our agreement. I've sent proof of payment twice, and I've called twice. Not to mention, you never sent me a bill.

Business

Response:

we sent for removal of the credit entry yesterday after receiving your email. Please allow 4-5 weeks for the entry to clear. Thank you.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

It's not really satisfactory to me until the entry is completely off my report. They took the time to ruin my credit but didn't take the time to make sure the bill was being sent to the correct address. Collection Agencies should be forced to verify that they are sending bills to the correct address before being allowed to add a deragatory item to a person's credit report. I can't create legislation, but to penalize people something beyond their control is totally unfair. Errors like this should be subject to a fine.

Sincerely,

Review: Agency keeps calling after a bill issue with [redacted] and this collection agency.[redacted] has contacted the collection agency and resolve the billing issue and I have email the twice also.Desired Settlement: I want written notification this is resolve from them and for them to quit calling.I thought it was the law once I request them to quit calling the must stop.if this is put on my credit I will have my Lawyer fix the issue and back charge them for his time.the contact with Agency [redacted] was filed early this year [redacted]I have email them twice all the information.

Business

Response:

We have not been contacted by [redacted] to cancel and they are maintaining the balance is still due. We will mail out validation and have placed this account as a Do Not Call. There will be no further calls placed. If you have something from [redacted] indicating otherwise, please mail it immediately as you have been telling us you will.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Please read the Attachment From [redacted]. This was emailed to [redacted] with the agency twice. And [redacted] from [redacted] spoke to them on Jan 4th all was resolved per the letter.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

Thank you for the documentation. We will cancel the account and send for credit bureau removal. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the removal.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

if they follow thru on their time line "which is long"

To Business

As you are no doubt aware, credit reporting laws ensure that bureaus

report only accurate credit information. No doubt the inclusion of this

inaccurate information is a mistake on either your or the reporting

creditor's part.

with one phone call to [redacted] I found you report inaccurate.

Sincerely,

Review: Upon checking my credit score to ensure that I had the correct information before shopping for a mortgage, I noticed that there had been a collection remark on my [redacted] account. When I uncovered what the collection was in regards to, I immediately called Eastern Account System to try and understand the issue. I was directed to someone who was very rude in his responses to my inquires. I was told that I have owed this money for 5 years and that I received multiple letters regarding my past due balances, which I have not! I have never missed a payment and my credit information vouches for that. I have never received the letters regarding the balances that I owed and then the representative called my "memory bank" into question. I find this extremely unprofessional and this issue should not be harming my credit score. When I asked for the representative to send me a letter regarding my balances he questioned why I would want to have them. My response was that I wanted proof that I indeed owed said amount and could take actions to remedy it if it was in fact true. His response was " what makes getting this letter different then the others, why would you pay this". There were no other letters sent to me and every time I tried to tell him that, he would cut me off by saying "yes they were" over and over. I was never called regarding this, never sent any information regarding this.Desired Settlement: I would like this removed from ALL of my credit reports in full, because this will stay on my report for a long time. I am being subjected to unlawful and unethical collection processes.

Business

Response:

I see the balance was paid in full today and the letters were sent to the current address. In an interest of satisfaction and because the statute has almost expired, we will send for removal of the debt. Please allow approx. 4 weeks for the entry to clear.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. If this is removed from my credit report I will be satisfied. If it is not I will be following up with another complaint. When should I expect this to be completely removed from my credit report?

Sincerely,

Review: I have repeated sent this company cease and desist letters because I owe them no debt. They continue to contact me via phone and mail . I will also be filing a complaint with the [redacted]. I want them to cease and desist all communications with me or anyone associated with me once and for all.Desired Settlement: Cease and desist ALL communication with either myself or anyone that is associated with me.

Business

Response:

The reason for the renewed contact is because we keep getting additional debts for you placed with us. We will mark everything current to not contact again.
