Eastern Account System of Connecticut, Inc. Reviews (211)

Review: Recently I financed a car during the financing process, the dealer has checked my credit report and found out that I do have 2 separate accounts being reported to credit agencies by Eastern Account Services as past due accounts belonging to [redacted]. The balances on each account is $210 and $211. The accounts are from April 2014. I immediately contacted [redacted], because I have not had a [redacted] account for several years. The account has been under my wife's name. After a long research, [redacted] was not able to locate any account with a past due balance under my name. I have been living at the same address for almost 2 years, and never received any information regarding these accounts from Eastern Account Services. This is severely hurting my credit and has caused me a very high interest rate on my financed vehicle. I work hard to pay my bills on time and if ever anything becomes past due, I make sure to make any necessary arrangements with the creditor before it goes to a collection agency and reported on my credit report.Desired Settlement: I would kindly ask Eastern Account Services to delete the subject accounts from my credit reports as soon as possible.

Business

Response:

The debt for $210 was updated as pif in April upon the return of your cable equipment. The $211 [redacted] is still claiming as outstanding. because the debt is from 2011, the regular reps you call at [redacted] may not have the information. Please when calling in reference acct# [redacted]. That is your account number. If this turns out to be in error, please forward that info to us as soon as possible so we can clear it. Thank you.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

After calling [redacted] with the given acct number, and being transferred back and forth between the billing department and collection department, neither one of the parties were able verify the debt to my satisfaction. All they were able to say "Let me transfer you to collection department" and "Let me transfer you to collections department". I have already been thru this with [redacted] before I filed the dispute with Revdex.com and can not seem to get anywhere. At this point, I would be willing to make some sort of good faith payment on this account in exchange for both accounts being deleted from my credit report permanently, immediately, with no further dues to neither [redacted], not the collection company.I am ready to settle this once and for all as soon as the collection agency agrees to the terms above.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

Please call [redacted] at [redacted]. If you can show that you never received our communications, we can help you with your request.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because I am waiting on the removal of the accounts from my credit reports. Once they are removed, I will be happy to close the case as satisfied.

Sincerely,

Review: Eastern Account System of Connecticut appears to be a subsidiary of [redacted]. I was a [redacted] customer over seven years. I left them because of an overcharge, which they removed. It now appears that they have sold this invalid bill to EAS. Eas will not return my calls or provide me with an explanation of the charges.Desired Settlement: I need EAS to mark my account a paid and to correct any damage done to my credit score.

Business

Response:

We did not purchase the debt. We are collecting for [redacted] who still owns the debt and maintains it is due. In the interest of goodwill, we will send for credit bureau removal and contant you no further but we cannot speak for how [redacted] will pursue in the future. Please acknowledge as resolved.

Review: I am disputing account number [redacted] with Eastern Account System because I have sent several dispute letters to the credit bureaus and it comes back verified every single time. I have contacted Eastern Account System to get the method of verification and debt validation on this account and they not provided me the information I have requested per the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. They are also reporting this item with have a credit limit and according to Metro 2 standards, that item is supposed to be blank and instead should have a high balance. There is now a collection agency should have a credit limit reporting on the account.Desired Settlement: Because this company is in clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act then I ask for both of this item to be deleted from my credit reports and to be provided with a letter stating it will be removed for violating the FCRA and FDCPA.

Business

Response:

We checked with [redacted] this morning and this debt is still outstanding and due. We have mailed validation of this debt to the requested address and would be happy to resend if needed.

Review: The company has a credit account with [redacted] on my credit report. I'm not liable for the [redacted] account which I don't owe the amount. The company is very deceptive there are all over the news for bad collection practices. Please investigate them. I wonder how many other people this has happened too.Desired Settlement: Please erase and delete from my credit report immediately. Or legal action will be taken. Plus maybe a congressional hearing if needed. Maybe a apologize for the error they made.

Business

Response:

[redacted] is maintaining that this is a valid and due debt. We even mailed a copy of the final bill to Mr. [redacted]'s home upon request. If there is a reason that this isn't valid please contact them or us to explain why.

Consumer

Response:

They jave 5 days to erase from credit bureau. This not valid amount. I will go ahead and start legal actions and criminal charges with the DOJ and FBI.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Sincerely,

Review: On 7/28/2015 I pulled a recent credit report to verify. I noticed there was a Collection entry down by Eastern Account System that alarmed me. I was not notified of this when it was added to my credit report on 8/2012. My rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act was violated because I would have disputed first this. I sent a dispute to all 3 credit reporting agencies and of course it came back verified. So I called and to no avail I didn't get any where but spoke to a collection representative that was very rude and nasty. Stating I owe this money you need to pay it or we're going to sue you. I was told that this collection effort was for [redacted]. I still have [redacted] till this day. I've had it over 10 years and my bill is current what are you talking aboutDesired Settlement: I want this entry removed off of all 3 credit reports immediately and I want a letter stating that it will be done. If I don't get this done then I will procee with other legal matters. This is foul on many levels you can not do this to people

Business

Response:

We did send letters on each of the debts in question but we have subsequently had each account withdrawn by [redacted] and sent for removal on your credit file. Would you please help us and identify which debt or debts is still showing so we can address it immediately? Perhaps you can tell us the amount(s) or whatever you might have.

Consumer

Response:

Thank you. Please have them forward a letter to me stating that they are removing all the accounts off of my Credit Report

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM continues to report accounts [redacted] and [redacted] as "Collection Accounts" for $260 and $230 respectively in my [redacted] credit file. I do NOT have a valid debt with EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM or their client [redacted], I have previously and repeatedly told them both so, yet they they refuse to delete their erroneous information from my [redacted] file. This is lowering my credit score and costing me money as a result.Desired Settlement: For EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM and/or their client [redacted] to delete accounts [redacted] and [redacted] from my [redacted] credit file and never reinsert them with [redacted] or any other consumer reporting agency ever!

Business

Response:

We have answered [redacted] complaints to the [redacted] and the Attorney General's of ** and **. This debt is valid and for the time period when he was the responsible party. We have mailed validation as well.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I have previously and repeatedly disputed the validity of this debt with EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM and their client [redacted] and continue to do so as I do NOT owe either company any money whatsoever! Both have repeatedly ignored my requests for accurate, complete, validation of ANY debt as well as refused my requests under the FAIR CREDIT BILLING ACT (FCBA) for lawfully requested documentation. In approximately late August/early September of 2011, I returned ALL [redacted] equipment issued to me to the [redacted] office on [redacted], paid my balance in FULL, and closed my account. I clearly recall an extremely high level of confusion in the [redacted] office there that day with a number of very angry other customers present and issues with getting a receipt to print for them and for me. I was assured a receipt for the 4 boxes I returned, payment in full, and closure of my account would be mailed to me. I have yet to receive it despite numerous requests.I believe [redacted] quite possibly continues to confuse equipment and services belonging to my former wife [redacted] with that of my account. She has lived at her residence of [redacted] since late August/early September of 2011. At this point,I simply want EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM and [redacted] to delete ALL references to my closed account from my [redacted] credit file and never reinsert the erroneous information with [redacted] or any of the other consumer reporting agencies. In addition, I will require written proof from [redacted] that their internal records now show ALL of the equipment issued to me returned, ALL account balances paid in full and no monies owed should I choose to return as a [redacted] customer at some point.Doing so will save us both untold time, aggravation and expense.I caution everyone involved in this complaint that I take my personal credit history most seriously!I am NOT going away anytime soon nor dropping this matter until it is resolved to my complete satisfaction.Sincerely,[redacted]

Business

Response:

Could you help us get this resolved by providing an equipment return receipt? Do you show payment of $260.09 for service? [redacted] is maintaining the $260.09 for service through 9/17/11 has never been paid and that 2 pieces of equipment were returned but that 3 still remain outstanding. Those serial number are: [redacted] and [redacted]. Please help us settle this for you.

Business

Response:

[redacted] provides written receipts in the event of computer issues. Can you provide that? You paid and returned your equipment and left without any proof at all that you paid or that it was returned?

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because in late August/early September of 2011, I returned four (4) [redacted] cable boxes and one (1) [redacted] wireless router to the [redacted] office on [redacted] I paid $260 in cash to settle my account and close it out. The woman who accepted the return of the equipment and payment apologized for the fact that she was unable to print a receipt due to computer issues but assured me that my account was paid in full and closed and that a receipt would be mailed to me. Much of my issue stems from the fact that despite numerous requests on my part, [redacted] has never provided a receipt. In addition, [redacted] confirmed in a recent email to me that on 07/26/2011, they permitted my former spouse, [redacted], to discuss my account, something clearly in violation of ** and [redacted] as she was not authorized to do so, and to "transfer" equipment and services to her residence of [redacted], contact telephone ###-###-####. I have NEVER lived at this address yet I suspect [redacted] is attempting to charge me for equipment and services associated with it from the 07/26/2011 "transfer" by my former spouse. In survey after survey, [redacted] is consistently ranked as one of the worst companies in America in customer service. Much of the rapidly growing wave of opposition to the proposed merger of [redacted] and [redacted] stems from this fact along with their reputation for being anti-union, anti-employee, and interested only in making obscene profits to benefit their executives and stockholders.Based on the the fact that I continue to be asked for a receipt for equipment and services when much of my issue with [redacted] and EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM stems from the fact that I did NOT get a receipt for equipment I returned and services I paid for I couldn't agree more! Please let EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM and their client [redacted] know I take matters regarding my personal financial history most seriously. I am NOT going away anytime soon nor dropping this matter until they do right by me as a customer and delete the negative marks from my credit files, never reinsert them, and provide proof that their internal records show no outstanding balance for equipment or services should I choose to return at some point as a customer, as unlikely as that may be.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: On March 11, 2013 Eastern Accunt System received my certified letter requesting valation of an account they are attempting to collect (XXXXXXXX). I have not received a response. While they are not required under federal law to respond, if they don't respond with proper validation then they are required to cease all collection activity. As of May 28, 2013, they are still reporting a collection account on my credit reports. Under federal law, I could sue them and ask for $1000 per violation in damages, since credit bureau reporting is considered a collection activity. However, I am confiident that by channeling this dispute through the Revdex.com, a more simple resolution can be made. If they delete the account, cease reporting it to the credit bureaus, and provide me written confimration of the same, I will consider this matter resolved. Thank you.

Desired Settlement: If they delete the account, cease reporting it to the credit bureaus, and provide me written notice of the same, I will consider this matter resolved. Thank you.

We mailed out validation of this debt to Ms. [redacted] address listed above on 3-11-13, immediately after receiving her certified request. We will mail it out again today. If she would like it mailed or sent to another address, please let us know. Comcast is still maintaining it is past due.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/05/30) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

Eastern Account Systems has already violated state and federal consumer protection laws. I never received their response to my request in the specified 30 days. They never ceased collection activity of this account. They claim to have sent validation, but where is the evidence? I sent my request for validation by certified mail to ensure proper delivery. I would expect that they would take extra steps to guarantee delivery as standard postage does not guarantee delivery. I myself have received mail that was not intended for me. At this point I am respectfully requesting that Eastern Account Systems do the right thing and remove this item from my credit report. This has become a legal matter, however, I would like to make the best effort to handle this matter out of court.

Review: There is inaccurate information based onto my credit report. I was not notified of any changes or events in regards to billing balanced owed. This company has reached the 7 year limitations of their account showing on my credit report.Desired Settlement: I would like this account removed from my credit report along with any balance owed as soon as possible.

Consumer

Response:

Thank you for being in the process of reviewing my complaint Sincerely. [redacted]

Business

Response:

This account ([redacted]) was recalled from the creditor [redacted] on 11-6-14. We received that our request to remove the entry from your credit report was processed on 12-10-14. It may take another day or two for the entry to clear.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: I recently obtained a copy of my credit report via a potential federal employer, through a credit/background investigation and found an error. The credit report indicated that I have an outstanding balance with this collection agency, which is not true. I did not know that this agency existed until I was sent a letter upon my military move from [redacted] to [redacted]. The collection agency letter indicated that I owed a balance of $69 courtesy of [redacted] of [redacted] I was not sure why the account was immediately sent to collections, but I went ahead and paid via check, check #[redacted] in the amount of $69. The date of the check was cashed and deposited into their account was 01/14/2013. The Confirmation of payment: [redacted] (Active Duty Checking Account at my credit union). The account still shows on my credit report as being open/past due/no status....everything but the right information.

I forwarded letters to the company address along with a copy of the cancelled/deposited check requesting that the error be reversed by both parties, including [redacted]. I did not receive a final bill and should not have been subjected to immediate forwarding of my account to a collection agency. This company never responded.

I submitted an online dispute with the credit agencies, and forwarded a copy of the check. The agency is still reporting as being open/past due/no status....everything but the right information.Desired Settlement: I want this action to be erased from my credit report. The tactics of this office does not appear to be legitimate. Even though I questioned why the final bill never arrived at my new address, I paid the $69 so as to not tarnish my credit. This has backfired. For several years, this same $69 is on my credit report, being erroneously reported. Please remove this inaccuracies. Items such as these are affected peoples ability to secure employment. Even though I am in the right with this transactions, it has interfered with my being able to secure a security clearance and employment in order to take care of my family.

Business

Response:

This account was properly updated as paid in full and closed on 2-10-15. Please make sure the credit report you are checking has current information. Many of them are delayed.

Review: Eastern is reporting two accounts on my credit report that have a zero balance. The service charge account has been paid and the equipment account is zero after I returned the equipment. When I called Eastern, they could not give me information and told me to call [redacted], when on my credit report Eastern bought the account. A full investigation would show this matter has been taken care of but [redacted] or Eastern will do they work to find out the truth. My credit has been adversely affected and my ability to obtain favorable credit terms has been lost.Desired Settlement: The accounts are removed from my credit reports!!

Business

Response:

We didn't buy the account, it is still [redacted]s. We just checked with them and they confirmed as of this date that the service balance of $242.20 is still outstanding and due. That would need to be paid to us or [redacted].

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Sincerely,

Review: I recently pulled copies of my credit reports to verify that this was removed from my credit reports and I noticed there was a Collection entry by Eastern Account System that was still showing. I was not notified of this when it was added to my credit reports on 3/01/2011. So I called and dealt with a very rude and nasty customer service rep and was practically bullied into paying money that I didn't even know or understand what it was for! My rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act were definitely violated because I would have disputed this first. I sent a dispute to all 3 credit reporting agencies and of course it came back verified. So I called and didn't get any where and again spoke to another very rude and nasty collection rep. I want this item REMOVED from my credit reports!Desired Settlement: I want this item REMOVED from my credit reports!!

Business

Response:

Can you help us identify the account in question so we can help you? We have several under [redacted] but none under that address and none where we spoke to you. Can you give us an amount and/or address that would show?

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: it is saying the account number is [redacted]. The amount showing is $0.00. The last 4 of my social is [redacted]. Please have this account removed.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

We see that ss#. In light of you saying you never received our notices, we will send for removal. Please allow approx. 4 weeks for the removal to show. Thank you.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: I had an account that had gone to collections through this company. In speaking with them to set up payment, it was agreed that if I paid my account in full, this charge off would be removed from my credit history/report. It was not removed from my credit and when I called to speak with someone, the individuals over the phone were very rude. I asked to speak with a supervisor who was also very rude and refused to do anything about the situation.Desired Settlement: I would like for this charge off account to be completely removed from my credit. I paid my dues and do not want this even showing as "paid in full" on my credit. I want what was promised to me at time of payment.

Business

Response:

We are unable to make a deal to remove credit reporting for payment so we do not promise that. The only event that would allow us to ask for removal is if the original creditor requests it for an error made.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I was already told that it would be removed so why it's being denied now is beyond me. This must be removed.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

As we explained on the phone, no one hear spoke to you and said that.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: it is not what was told to me when I made payment arrangements.

Sincerely,

Review: The Cable Company, [redacted] hired Eastern accounts to collect a "perceived" $30 debt from me. [redacted] claimed that they had mailed me a $30 cable modem equipment for my use during their services at my house in **. However, during that period I was using my own personal equipment. [redacted] had never mailed me an equipment, but their system was erroneously reporting that an equipment was mailed to me. Before I moved to ** in March 2013, I cancelled [redacted] service and paid-all the remaining balance for services that they had offered. The account balance should have been zero.In April/May 2013, I received a statement from [redacted] that said that I had their $30 equipment. On May 31, 2013 I called [redacted] and told them that I had never requested and never received an equipment from them. Their representative agreed to make the balance nil but she never did.On August 26, 2013, when I pulled-up my credit report I saw that [redacted] account had reported a $30 late to the credit reporting agencies. So, I called [redacted] to find out why they had not made the account balance zero. They said that they will take an action on it.On November 22, 2013 I pulled-up another credit report and now my credit report showed a 30-day, 60-day and 90-day late reported on the same account by Eastern Account. So, I called [redacted] on November 25, 2013 to which they confirmed that they have already made the account balance zero. However apparently, Eastern continued to report to the reporting agency regarding a non-payment.It should be noted that Eastern never bothered to contact me even a single time during this entire period and just simply kept reporting a late payment to the credit reporting agency. All this has severely ruined my credit rating, hence I am filing this complaint so that all the late reports are removed. There were no dues from my end to begin with, but Eastern continued to report based on incorrect information.Desired Settlement: All the late dues reported to the credit reporting agencies should be immediately removed and my credit rating fixed appropriately.

Business

Response:

We have already sent for the listing to be removed from the credit bureau. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the removal to complete.

Review: Inappropriately placing me on a negative status for my credit report.

Eastern Account Systems sent me a letter in the mail regarding a collection account from [redacted]. I stated to them I never received a final billfrom [redacted] and asked how this was possible as I terminated service and was awaiting the "Final Bill." The rude employee stated she does not work for [redacted] and she doesn't know how that happened. She further went on to to say that I should make a payment on this bill without suggesting the company look into if what I was saying was actually true. Now this is being reported on my credit report inaccurately in a negative manner and I am highly upset at the unprofessional and inappropriate manner as to which I was treated. I would like to be removed from the credit report for it's inaccuracy and suggest that this collection agency verify their accounts before receiving it. If this doesn't get resolved I will be forced to take legal actions.Desired Settlement: remove me from the credit reporting agency that is affecting me negatively.

We were able to get the final bill from [redacted] and will mail it out today. The amount in question is still due.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/07/22) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

I cannot accept this offer because I was put into collections without being given an opportunity to pay the bill initially. I should have received the final bill which I would've paid and then if payment wasn't received be placed with collections. I want to be removed from collections as this is reflecting negatively on my credit report. I will file a claim for wrongful placement with a collection company without following procedures. Thank you.

Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2013/07/23) */

We have sent Ms. [redacted] a final bill. Her issue is with the creditor, [redacted]. They are maintaining that this is accurate and due. If an error in process has been made, it would be their decision to cancel or remove. Please call them at [redacted] and ask for a supervisor.

Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2013/07/24) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

When I called [redacted] the representative told me they will send me a final bill because one was never sent. And now after I filed a dispute against them they claimed they sent the bill! There is a lot of dishonest businesses here and I the consumer is caught up in their corruption. I have lived at this address for some time and have never not had any issues with the mail. I never received a final bill! I would like the opportunity to pay this final bill as this was my plan from the beginning but I want to be removed from the credit reporting agency!

Review: My wife and I had [redacted] cable which we stated 08/2010. After several years with the company with no issues, we decided we were going to switch to [redacted]. I had contacted [redacted] and told them to cancel my service, they replied to me that someone would be at my house the very next week to collect the Tv boxes and cable modem boxes. The technician came to the home and collected their equipment back. 1 year goes by without any kind of notice from comcast, then all of the sudden we get a letter from Eastern Account System stated we owe them a balance of 601.00 for un returned equipment and final bill due. I explained to them that we have already returned equipment as it was picked up from our home 1 year ago. They told us they would look into it and have it adjusted immediately. Another year goes by and here we go again, this time they are calling my cellphone and my work cellphone consistently about 3-4 times day Monday - Friday. Each time I would answer the phone call and explain to them I do not owe them NOR [redacted] any money. After about several months of calling and harassing me non stop sometimes with out of state or blocked numbers , I decided to send them a letter asking for Validation of this debt. The letter went unanswered so I figured this case was solved. NOPE checked my credit report when I was looking into buying a new car and there they were , ALL OVER my credit report , they reported me on [redacted] that this account is in collections since OCT 2010. Not only did they ruin my credit but they are still to this day harrasing me with their phone calls regarding money that I owe them + [redacted] for. As of 04/20/15 I sent them yet again another Validation of Debt Letter this time I certified it , STILL NO RESPONSE. I do not owe Eastern Account Services Nor [redacted] any money DUE. IT has been nearly 6 years an I'm still fighting with them to get this off my report and my name!Desired Settlement: First, I need this immediately deleted from all credit agencies reports and a confirmation from your company that you have deleted this from your system and have also deleted this from my credit file so that it will reflect with all the reporting credit agencies in which they have reported me to. Second off, I want a confirmation letter from them stating that I do not have any balance owed and my account has been closed.

SINCE THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR NEARLY 6 YEARS NOW, I would like them to remove it as fast as possible from my credit file. I owe this company NO MONEY.

Business

Response:

Due to the age of the account we will cancel and send for removal of the account from the credit bureau. Please allow 4 weeks for the entry to be removed. Thank you

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: Account number is [redacted]. EAS is reporting an $86 on my credit report on behalf of [redacted]. I have no idea where this came from, so I called [redacted] directly. This is what I was told: I moved my internet service from one address to another in February 2012. They do not know why my accounts were not merged or why this $86 was not attached to my account. Furthermore, [redacted] Rep was not sure why this was sent to my old address ([redacted]) and not the new address ([redacted]). I have no idea of this account, I received no calls or mails pertaining to this debt. I continued my relationship with [redacted] until August 2012 and never once was this outstanding balance brought to my attention. EAS never reached out to me. It is not my problem if [redacted] supplied them with incorrect information. I never had the opportunity or knowledge to resolve this matter. So, to sum it up, this is on [redacted] and/or EAS business practices, not me. How it is possible that I was "in collections" but a current and paying [redacted] subscriber? This never should have been sent to collections. I am not willing to let this negatively affect my credit history.Desired Settlement: This account needs to be removed from my credit report.

Business

Response:

We spoke to Mr. [redacted] on 4/30/12 and explained the debt to him. He hung up. We called back again on 5/7/12 and he hung up. We left messages after that and they went unreturned. These were all conducted on phone number ###-###-####. Is that not the correct number?

Consumer

Response:

No, that is no longer my number and hasn't been since 02/2012. That, again, is old information that I had updated with [redacted]. Please remove this entry off of my credit report, as I never had any knowledge of this account. I paid this amount believing it was my final bill from services ended in August/September 2012. Reach out to [redacted] if need be, and verify the accuracy of my allegations. You've never spoken with me or sent correspondence to the address I provided [redacted] when I transferred services.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Ok. We will send for removal of the credit bureau entry. Please allow approximately 4 weeks for it to show.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution (sending for removal of account) is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: I pulled my CR and it states that I have 2 collection accounts from Eastern Account System I . I sent them a letter for DISPUTE VERIFICATION and have recieved no response from them. I also contacted the original credtor [redacted] and they too have stated to me they have no records of these accounts and amounts that Eastern is reporting. I also disputed with the Credit bureaus and they say that it's coming back as REMAINS. without verification they still decide to report these collection accounts. I do not have any knowledge of this debt and I feel that I should have at least got a DV and information on my right to dispute.

Desired Settlement: I would like this incorrect reporting deleted from my credit file

Consumer Response /* (-5, 9, 2013/08/02) */

these accounts aren't even in my name. the way this account is listed is not my name... the name they have listed for these accounts is [redacted], that is not me!

Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2013/08/05) */

While we have had discussion in the past that this is Ms. [redacted] and her ex husbands account, we will remove due to the age of the account. Please allow 4-5 weeks to clear.

Review: Upon checking my credit reports I noticed Eastern Account System is reporting negative information to the credit bureaus. I disputed this with the credit bureaus and Eastern Account System validated the account, I do not believe this account belongs to me. My credit reports say the account is for [redacted], I do not have service from [redacted]. I never owed [redacted] any money. Never received any letters or notices from [redacted] or from Eastern Account System regarding this account.Desired Settlement: I would like Eastern Account System to remove this erroneous entry from my credit report.

Response:

This billing is for [redacted] service through 03-04-11 at your home address. Are you saying it's fraud? Can you prove you used another provider at that address during this time or can you fill out a fraud or id theft affidavit with the police and we can remove it.

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I am saying I do not currently have service with [redacted] and do not owe them any money. I did have service with [redacted] a few years ago but there should be no unpaid balance and all equipment was returned. Can you provided validation of this account? A copy of how you or [redacted] is coming up with theses charges and when they are from? I really don't believe this should be reported on my credit report because I have never received and information or statements from Eastern Account System or [redacted] regarding this. I was never given the chance to request validation which is a violation of the [redacted].

Sincerely,

Review: Called on 4/18/14 at about 2:00pm spoke with a supervisor by the name of [redacted] she states that she is the only [redacted] there. I am trying to resolve an issue that is on my credit report from 05/2010 she states that she can not remove this from my report even though it is for only $103 and would not let me speak to anyone at the company.Desired Settlement: Want this off my credit report!

Business

Response:

We cannot remove the entry because it was paid too late. The creditor [redacted] does not allow. Was there an error or mistake made?

Review: bad customer service!!!

I paid Eastern account system what I owed since they held that debt for a past due [redacted] bill. They were paid but then would not send me a receipt for many days and everytime I called them they would tell me something different. All I wanted was a email stating it had been paid and was never given any...Desired Settlement: simple!!!! A receipt !!!!!!!!!!!
